I arrived on Gerda's doorstep after a bad experience at another B&B. Gerda was so welcoming! Old Oak is such a wonderful place to stay. The room I was in was lovely. The home is quiet and a good place to relax. Gerda's breakfasts are delicious and nothing is too much effort for her! She made my stay so pleasant. Old Oak had an inverter so no load shedding! Thank you Gerda... I'll definitely return when I'm in that part of the world again.

The Old Oak Guest House is a home away from home and Gerda is the family in Cape Town you never knew you had! Fantastic service that was welcoming and professional. What a special place this turned out to be! Gerda the owner is incredibly friendly & was more than accommodating. The room was spacious despite a massive & extremely comfortable bed. Located close to shopping facilities & the highway for a short, scenic drive to central Cape Town. I would highly recommend this place & look so forward to returning again soon. Loved every moment!

We stayed over as a family with a teenager. The guesthouse assisted by adding a single bed in our bedroom. The host was very friendly and most helpful. He also prepared our breakfast, which was scrumptious! House has been a guesthouse for over 25 years, and although it shows its age all amenities are working and the stay was comfortable. Definitely value for money.

From what I have seen and heard they are quite good. I personally have not been there yet. Several folk have told me they will go back with pleasure.

Looks nice and quiet on the outside nice erea situated on the corner of street plants trees looks very welcoming hardly see any people.

Nice clean rooms with backup supply for lighting in loadshedding time. Friendly, helpful hostess who makes a great breakfast.
