So many great exhibits! Their Art Gallery is always worth a visit, and I never miss the "Flash Flood" exhibit (stand up close to get splashed!) NOTE: Their front entrance is currently under construction. Look for the employee sitting by an umbrella for directions. Today I spent time outside and learned about desert animals. (Photos attached) I LOVE SPRINGS PRESERVE AND THE ORIGEN MUSEUM. Great for kids, great for adults. Be prepared to take pictures and learn a lot about the desert (Las Vegas history, animals, plants, etc) The black lizard / white lizard photos were taken 30 seconds apart. Mr Black Lizard is over 30°F warmer!

My adult daughter & I went to spend the day. We took our time to enjoy all of the interactive displays. The desert garden was one of our favorites. There were live animals there for a featured show. We enjoyed the information for them & even pet a snake (boa) for the first time. Very educational in a fun environment! We visited last summer & after 5 hours still didn't get through everything. When we went this summer, it was to see other features we'd missed. We loved this place! We recommend to all ages!

We love brining our kids (2 & 6) to the Origen Museum. The exhibits are kid friendly (they can touch them). There is a rotating exhibit area. These exhibits are usually pretty awesome. They also have an outdoor area with some desert animals (my favorite is the fox where you can see into the den). It's a good deal with the annual family passes.

Awesome state park. They have a flash flood presentation that is awesome. They also give you different perspective on everyday appliance usage and water usage as well as make it very interactive for the kids. Everything is made pretty sturdy to stand up to kids using it. Great place for them to run around and burn energy.

Enjoyable museum, but (as others have noted) very confusing layout. There is no obvious route through the exhibits, so you end up circling around a lot just trying to see everything. I heard another person say that he had tried every door attempting to find the exit to the building.

This place was nothing short of amazing. I went with a group of people ages 5-60 & they ALL had a great time! Each area was educational, yet fun and there are plenty of hands on exhibits. The cost of a day ticket included the Nevada Museum as well.

I use to live in Las Vegas PRE Mirage days. With Jay Leno. 50¢ Shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate, sleeping on the ground at Lake Mead. I highly recommend this museum. It bought back fond memories. Where is the neon light bone yard?

  • Jenny Jacobo

Simply amazing! Fun experience for all ages. Interactive exhibits with learning tools for kids. My 2 1/2 year old said it was cool. I welcome all to come and visit. Price is under $15, unless your a local. Just great fun.

  • Dawn Buonconsiglio

Great place for the entire family. Hands on exhibits, quality displays, a huge amount of information on the history of Las Vegas, and surrounding areas. We will be joining the annual membership so we can come back often.

I wrote a paper about this exhibit for my college class. I was so impressed with the Origen Museum. I will be returning to the whole complex next month and I hope to be a donor to the museum. Keep up the great work

  • Charlie Garcia

Loved it great place to go and get educated on Nevada history. One thing for sure you will be very comfortable in any of the buildings because the air conditioning keeps these buildings so cooooooool. I love it.

We love the Origen Museum and the Springs Preserve! This month there is a live animal exhibit. The handler was so kind and helpful, my kids even got to hold the hedgehog. What a great day we had!

Nice venue. Some interesting mini museums, exhibits as you walk the trails. Expensive for out of staters, almost $20 for fee. But,hey! We can loose more in a couple of minutes at the tables.

Good museum, does a very nice job of explaining the true origin of Las Vegas. However, the place is lonely and creepy if you accidentally stay after closing time, and security is lax.

  • Claudio Kirner
