I cant believe how they crushed the dream of a 7-year old kid. I am seriously asking myself, is humanity dead??? After getting lost around the area, I have finally found the library when the librarians were just closing the door when I came. I was there to pick up my holds with my sister who had a talent show the next day and needed a book for the talent show. I have explained the situation to the security guard, who then talked to the librarians, but they did not let us in. I cant believe how they crushed the dream of a 7-year old kid. I am seriously asking myself, is humanity dead??? Was it really worth crushing the dreams of my sister? Covid-19 already affected our library routines a lot and the time it takes for the holds to arrive is extremely long. Plus this happening as well, I am extremely frustrated.

A wonderful place to take the kids and spend a few hours. Or just on your own. The staff is very kind and helpful. The children and teen section is amazing with lots of selection. There is craft table for kids if they get bored of reading. They also have a musical instrument library of you want to try out an instrument. There is ample parking and it's close to bustops as well. Also a few stores in the area if you want to grab a bite.

J'ai vraiment aimé cette succursale de la bibliothèque d'Ottawa. Le paysage est beau et reposant avec un petit jardin caché, une vieille cloche en avant du bâtiment et une structure d'eau de côté. De même on a accès à du stationnement gratuit. Il y a un grand parc à côté et pour se divertir un Royal Oak pas loin. Le service et le décor à l'intérieur étaient également conviviaux et impeccables

My kids love going to the library almost as much as I love taking them! It's always very clean, bright, and quiet. Every librarian we have dealt with has been extremely friendly, and great with the kids. My kids love the selection of books, and this is the only place that they can "rent" a DVD anymore. The Centrepoint Public Library is awesome!

Been here a few times and enjoyed using the Imagination Space. The workers are very helpful when you are working on a project and will give their opinion on how to improve it, if you are looking for help. Again great selection of books, DVD, CD and chromebooks. Has the return robot behind glass so you can watch it in action.

I have been tutoring at this library for a few years now and I find it to be the best location in Ottawa. The tables are spaced out really well so there is not too much noise from other tables to deal with. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. I only wish the library was open longer especially on Sundays.

Great selection of books, magazines, and music. If you can't find what you're looking for, you can have it brought over from another library. I've ordered books that have had to be brought over from other locations and were there in a timely manner. Can also reserve passes to local museums here.

Awesome library. Staff are nice, and it's quiet. A good place to study and read. Atmosphere is pretty as well, recommended for a warm day as you can walk around the building and look at the nature after getting your books. Near baseline station for anyone who needs an easy bus route

Great place for the reading enthusiasts. Having reading contents for all ages and there used to be special programs for kids also. It is very easy and quick to enroll for the library and once you get the library card you can use that card to access any of 33 Ottawa Public libraries.

Great library!! I’ve been going since childhood. I just miss how the hours were before as now the hours of operation are super limited and irregular Who would think a library opens at 10 and closes at 6 on a weekday ? Or opens at 1 and closes at 8? Super strange

I will always love any building that adorns itself in books. I love the smell of a good book and the feel of it and the chance to read so many different things without paying. The library is beautiful and well kept. It is a sanctuary of peace for me.

Went there knowing nothing about the Ottawa public libraries, and came out with my card and eager to return! The staff that helped me was extremely kind and helpful, and explained almost everything about the OPL to me and answered all my questions.

This is a nice and spacious library. It is fairly well resourced and there's a lot of quiet rooms which you can book. My main issue is its inability to manage, monitor and enforce parking for actual library patrons. This is especially

Unfortunately, teenagers were causing a rucus today and people seem to really enjoy talking in the quiet zone. Including some kid who vandalized the mens washroom. Not sure how that can be addressed but the library itself is fine.

Nice hours, friendly staff and good selection of books. Did you know that you can borrow MUSEUM passes ( Agriculture, War, History, Arts, etc ) to go there for FREE? Passes are usually located in the "Express Reading" shelf :)

Great that the bottom floor is dedicated to children's books. I visit weekly to get stocked up. They often have events at the library and the performance theatre on the main floor. Probably the best spot Nepean has to offer.

The library is great. But the computers for kids are very old and slow, making the experience very frustrating. I think the city of Ottawa could invest some resources to better improve the computers for the children.

love this library! :) Clean and organised with very polite and nice staff, and also parking area available! The only problem is that it is freezing most of the time and hard to sit for a few hours! :(

We often use this branch. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Though My husband could not find anything about house building at this location we managed to order some from other branches.

I like this library. It has big open spaces and lots of natural lighting. It reminds me of the library in Peterborough. The main branch downtown does not have good karma, this one does.

They have quiet study places. Along with a 3D printing and etching lab (etch a design on a piece of plastic). They may have more devices, since I last visited. Worth checking out.

I feel blessed to have access to such a wonderful library system. An up-to-date supply of fiction and reference books. Very helpful library staff who always make you feel welcome.

I really like this library. The silent study area on the second floor is a really great place to get some work done! The staff are also very helpful and friendly!

They have computers for those of us who are computer less to access the Internet As well as resources for newcomers to both Ottawa and to Canada

The best Ottawa Public library location I have visited so far. I wish there were more sofas/chairs in adults sections too.

The place was amazing,my kids and I went there and it was very beautiful. The librarians where very kind and welcoming.
