I can’t recommend this place enough if you are looking for a CrossFit gym! I joined after being what I can only describe myself as a “Planet Fitness Nightcrawler” for six months and prior to that someone who received a decent foundation from a year under a personal trainer and an occasional SoulCycle spin class. Yes, I was intimidated for a period of time from seeing CrossFit exhaustion horror story videos, but over time I really missed my personal trainer’s organized program and I was slowly getting unmotivated lifting on my own. I was also in need of a membership that was cost effective and I’m not currently making the amount of wealth for what a personal trainer cost in Atlanta or in general. OXFIT SOLVED ALL THESE ISSUES OUT AND THEN GAVE ME MORE! I messaged the gym and Savannah, Lauren, and Carlos all responded back to me. There were three trainers willing to clear a solid portion of the day to assess my concerns and interest, show me the location without interrupting or imposing on a class, generate a great conversation about fitness goals, and show me financial membership transparency. Carlos was inviting and we planned to drop into a complimentary class before committing to a membership. He knew a trainer who lived near me teaching a class, Nikki, and she assured me and broke down how to get into a CrossFit class safely and how Oxfit can set a course for shreds, gains, or recomp goals. Coaches that teach other classes were taking a class along with me, and there was a really cool culture of getting to know people without this comparison. It was a great exercise of just being in the moment. The timing wasn’t right for signing up for membership, and Carlos offered a free drop in week to relieve any financial pressure. This gym is very helpful and I loved that they work with you. The next couple of days I got rushed by all of the coaches and Ant Oxley’s family (including the dog). They all wanted me to check out their class, they all are positive and hilarious badasses, and there was just a surge of cool, earnest new friends. I honestly can’t tell who’s my favorite, because I’ve taken almost all of their classes and it’s true AFTER YOU TAKE ANY OF THEIR CLASSES IT’S YOUR FAVORITE. It’s really cool that there’s attention to improve your form and exercise correctly, patience for you to lock it in and push yourself, fellow members are really motivating even when it gets exhausting, and everyone is humbled and amazed that accomplishing something physically demanding CAN BE DONE. I also find the gym’s YouTube resource very helpful because Coach Savannah gives you a great forecast of the week and displays movements to keep in mind. I still considered myself inexperienced so it’s cool there’s someone assigned to help me study better form and apply it when it comes up in the next class. This place works really hard to help me “keep a big picture” on my fitness journey. There’s amazing, EFEECTIVE yoga recovery sessions too and theme workout nights and dinner meet-ups and ridiculous weekend socials if you want to get weird or goofy. Also S/O Caitlin and Savannah and Lauren for Paleo-Bowl! Now, three months are about done and I’ve been involved in a Lift-Off where I have been amazed what my fellow new friends, coaches, and what I could lift. I posted amazing PR’s at every EVERY strength and endurance retest, AND IT HASNT BEEN EVEN 90 DAYS! I haven’t even fully tapped what this gym fully has to offer from their Ox-Fit athlete training but I’m embraced as an equal and raw potential. I’m really excited to see what can be accomplished by staying consistent and teachable. Oxfit Grant Park or EAV has made CrossFit an ambitious part of my life but they successfully remove all the fear I thought came with it. They really help you exist with a challenge, help you get out of any failure, and coaches get SO HYPED when you achieve. Even if you invest the base amount of membership in this gym there’s a massive, energetic, hardworking, positive interest in you. Try it out if you don’t believe me.

Bitter disappointment is what my experience with this organization has left me with. From a young age, I've often been put in the role of outcast, viciously teased by peers in elementary school and left with deep anxiety about reaching out to others and trying to make connections. While not particularly athletic before college, at college I joined the rowing team and pursued an interest in other athletics including martial arts. At 18 I had my first seizure and was diagnosed with epilepsy. Others followed and they left me with shortcomings in my memory. Drugs to treat epilepsy often have profound psychological side-effects leaving me unmotivated, with a flat affect, and prone to moods. They also sometimes leave one with physical effects and after leaving college I gained a great deal of weight. In 2009, I re-discovered a passion for fitness via crossfit and pursued it with zeal. I acquired several certifications in Crossfit as an instructor and pursued training in coaching in other areas of weightlifting. As time passed, i moved gyms a couple of times but continued to pursue high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and added a passion for competitive powerlifting. About a year ago, several blood clots in my right leg left me hospitalized and unable to work-out. Once the pain subsided enough for me to workout, I tried to regain some lost fitness. I rowed at home, but was recently delighted to discover Grant Street Crossfit so close to my house. I was eager to workout here, even though I struggled still with my pain in my leg. After completing some preliminary one-on-one workshops, I attended my first group class today. I was optimistic about regaining the level of fitness I onced enjoy when doing HIIT. The class was a struggle, as pain in my leg that had become infrequent flared up. But I stayed the course and was happy with my performance. That wasn't enough for the owners at Grant Street. After my class was done, Ant pulled me aside and informed me I was insufficiently friendly to be part of his community. My awkwardness, my lack of affect, the anxiety I have around others who already know each other well: Ant Oxley and his wife Lauren didn't want it in their gym. He let me know he didn't want me there and made it clear my time was over. Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones that get to be part of the clique that is being built at Crossfit Grant Street. The Ubermensch as it were... but if you are like me, part of the 'bungled and the botched' there is probably no place for you here. There is only disdain for those who don't fit in. You'll find reasonably informed but not particularly exceptional coaching in HIIT if you do venture here. For me the primary motivator was proximity, as I know that Atlanta has many phenomenal coaches in HIIT. Those coaches are distant and Grant Street was close. Equipment is adequate but sparse for a gym that has been around for a year. However, that won't matter if you don't fit in right from the start. The philosophy here is to build a wall around the gym and try to keep the "bad" people out rather than taking on the challenge of building a community that is accepting and lifts people up.

Two and a half years ago, I was training for half marathons, didn’t know the first thing about “lifting”, and had no aspirations whatsoever of being a CrossFit athlete. I did, though, want to change up what had become my routine, so I decided to give OxFit a try — I remember a conversation with one of the owners that I didn’t want to become one of those “scary women” who lift heavy. I was afraid of a lot of things and didn’t think I would be able to complete the more challenging workouts. What I found at OxFit was an encouraging, no-b.s. group of coaches who met me where I was in my fitness (good & bad) and taught me how to safely improve in all areas. When I had difficulty, they encouraged me to approach things slowly, not worrying about how much weight was on the bar & making sure I was doing things the right way. They focus on you giving your best, whatever that is! I wasn’t looking for a gym to be more than a room with weights in it — I couldn’t have imagined how much the community of coaches and athletes at OxFit would challenge and change me! I still don’t see myself as a heavy lifter, but I am so proud of the things that I can do (like pull ups! back squatting my body weight!) that my yoga-loving, distance-running self never thought would be possible.

I had allowed myself to believe that Cross Fit was intense, demanding, competitive, and not for someone who has never stepped foot in a gym or lifted weights before. After hearing numerous positive reviews of OxFit I thought I'd give it a try. And I'm glad I did! The clean gyms, well maintained equipment, knowledgeable coaches and dedication to teaching are all top notch, but by FAR the best part about OxFit is the community. The OxFit community (FitFam) is full of athletes ranging from experienced CrossFit veterans to athletes that are stepping into a gym for their first time, but everyone is celebrated equally. When you walk into the gym you'll notice coaches and athletes are getting "stronger together". Instead of competition you'll see athletes cheering each other on and celebrating each others progress, personal milestones and successes. Whether you're looking to add some movement to your day, get stronger, learn new skills, develop existing skills, meet new people or whatever your personal motivation may be - OxFit has what you're looking for. Every member of the FitFam genuinely cares about each other and takes the time to get to know one another. There are no strangers at OxFit.

I got introduced to Crossfit a few years ago through another gym. As I moved throughout the years I tried various locations, but I wasn't able to find the spark I discovered at the first location. I wanted to be at a place where you were pushed, coaches cared, where I met other people that were into fitness, where the workouts were not the only thing offered and where like minded individuals spent their time ---this was all that I had previously. Fortunately, I found that near home at OxFit. Everyone is very welcoming, there are teams that run marathons, 5Ks, Tri-Athlons and you are encouraged to do those extra activities, which is good because they can sometimes be scary to do alone. In general crossfit is great if you have a hard time coming up with a workout or sticking to a routine. All you have to do is show up and do as the coaches say - if you are like me and walk around a regular gym wondering which machine to use next...or "did I do enough?" ANY Crossfit is for you. If you are like me and prefer to have positive people in your life that are encouraging an welcoming....OxFit is your long lost gym.

OxFit (Crossfit Grant Street) is seriously the Cheers of Crossfit gyms. Everybody knows your name! Unless they don't and then you do burpees. ;) My wife and I haven't been members very long but we've already come to love the community that Ant and Lauren have built. No, it really is a community. If you are just looking for a place to come and workout, not talk to anyone and go home it's probably not going to be a great fit. However, if you are looking for an awesome #fitfam with great people, attentive coaches, lots of laughs, free coffee, dinners out, long walks on the beach, new sports, great programing, small classes, competitions/challenges, and just the best workout all around then you need to come in and talk to Ant and Lauren. They care about their members and it shows. I've been Crossfitting for 6 years and I've been to other gyms where you just feel like another body in the room. It's so refreshing to walk in to OxFit everyday and feel like you are a part of something bigger. Ant and Lauren take so much pride in their business. I can't imagine being anywhere else. OxFit is definitely #notjustagym

Straight to the point, here’s what has kept me a member at OxFit going on 4 years now: -Amazing Programming: fun, challenging mix of skill and strength based workouts with measurable performance results. -Strong Community: OxFit is more than a gym. I think of it as a fitness based social club. We play coed sports, go on weekend trips based around an event like spartan race, have holiday parties, weekly dinners, and intragym competitions. We’ve made so many great friends through the gym. -Caring Coaches: the OxFit coaching staff truly care about your fitness goals and will hold you accountable. If you have a goal, they will be relentless in seeing that you achieve it. They’re also knowledgeable in how to scale appropriately based on injuries or athlete’s physical ability. Last but not least, I feel great. A lot of people my age (mid 30s) complain about metabolism slowing down, fatigue, aches, stress, etc. Our bodies are made to move, and we fall apart physically and emotionally if all we do is sit at a desk all day. The time I spend at OxFit is the best preventative healthcare available.

My husband and I walked into OxFit over 3 years ago looking for a gym to join, and we've never looked back. OxFit is a COMMUNITY. Everyone knows each other - your name, your kids' names, pet names, etc. The athletes and coaches care about you, and will push you to be your best self. They make the effort to know your goals and hold you accountable. As soon as you walk into the gym, you've met the best group of people in Atlanta. OxFit gets you RESULTS. All you have to do is show up, and let the programming and coaching take care of the rest. The coaches are knowledgable, and every workout is scalable while challenging for your fitness level. OxFit MOTIVATES. OxFit creates so many motivating challenges throughout the year to keep people involved and push you to achieve a new goal. With nutrition challenges, the 12 Days of OxFit, Spartan races, triathlons, team competitions, the Chicago marathon, and more - there is something for everyone to try new and have a great time with an amazing group of people. Just walk through the doors, and you won't regret it!

I’ve been to many gyms throughout the years, and I can honestly say nothing compares to Oxfit. I was extremely nervous joining a gym where I didn’t know anyone. However, all these feelings went away the second I walked into the gym. Everyone was extremely nice and and made an effort to get to know me. I’ve never been to a Crossfit-style gym, so I had to learn the movements and lifting from scratch. The instructors are very attentive to how you’re lifting weights and are quick to correct you when you’re doing something wrong so you don’t injure yourself. They clearly go over the movements each session, so even if you’re new, you can pick them up fairly quickly. Over the past few months, the members of the gym have become like my second family. The instructors and other members are incredibly supportive and really push me to lift more and finish the workouts. Ant and Lauren are awesome gym owners and you can tell they’ve really put in the work to ensure that Oxfit has positive, supportive people in their gym to create an awesome sense of community.

  • Alisha Smith

I interviewed two CrossFit gyms before starting at Oxfit, scanning their social media for evidence that they truly fostered community. When I walked in for my No Sweat intro meeting (it just happened to be the coaches workout, but I didn’t know that) every single person not only said hello, they walked up to me, shook my hand or asked my name, and welcomed me. That sold me before I even spoke to Lauren. I’ve lost a lot of weight at a lot of gyms and no one even noticed; just a couple of weeks ago, Ant gave me some props on the changes I’ve been making and all I could do was hug him for noticing my hard work. I like that we are all considered athletes, despite some generalized perception of what that looks like and then, treated accordingly. I’m doing things I never knew I could do, because I never knew I had the permission to do it. At Oxfit, I feel a part of something bigger, like my fitness is connected to the team and so, I must perform my best to do my part, so I just keep coming, keep pushing, keep ticking away, one rep at a time.

Before OxFit, I used to join gyms and hit it hard during the first few months and woukd stop going soon after. When OxFit, first opened I was a bit reluctant to join because of my track record with other gyms. Man was I wrong! OxFit it unlike any other gym I’ve been a member of (going on 4 years). The gym and it’s members are almost like a second family! We actually refer to it as “our FitFam”. This gym is very family friendly and everyone is very welcoming! The coaches are very knowledgeable and will push you to do your best while also maintaining a safe environment and making sure you don’t get hurt. I’ve made great friends. Three years ago I lost one of my parents and it was difficult. The experience would’ve been much worse if it wasn’t for the support I received from my FitFam! Going to the gym helped me channel positive energy that I needed at that time and allowed me to come out stronger in the end. If you are considering joining a gym, give OxFit a chance like I did. I promise you won’t regret it.

Talk about a stress reliever!!!! OxFit RADIATES positivity. I have never been more pleased and satisfied with a gym in my entire life. Ant and Lauren, the owners of OxFit are two of the most amazing people anyone will ever come across. I cant express how thankful I am to have been introduced to them. Not only is Ant a coach, he has helped me to see the big picture in life. He pushes you, he makes you work hard, he motivates you to be the best version of yourself, and he is a great friend. Every single one of the coaches at OxFit are extremely knowledgable and are willing to go the extra mile! Not only that, but I have crossed paths with so many amazing people who I now consider family. Working out at OxFit has changed my life. It gives me energy each and every day and overall, I am a way happier person! The workouts are tough, but the results are phenomenal! I look forward to working out every single day now. I would give OxFit 10 stars if I could.

  • Jordan McGuffin

I walked into OxFit based on a Google search. I started with my own fitness-related goals, but 4+ years later I’m part of a team creating an environment for people to belong and literally become happier and healthier every day. You can show up as you are to OxFit, but you won’t stay the same if you keep coming. If you can get to the door, OxFit will do the rest. You will be known by name, you’ll smile because you can’t help it, and you’ll have fun while getting fit. I don’t like running, but have done two marathons, one Ragnar relay, and one Spartan race with OxFit. I picked up the habit of greeting people first and calling people by their name at OxFit, and now it’s a part of my life wherever I am. There is a place for you* here. *if you are looking to stay negative or go through life on your own then maybe not you. The owners Ant and Lauren have become family, and I can’t say enough about their hearts and hard work.

  • Amanda Evans

Amazing gym with amazing people and amazing coaches! Oxfit is much more than just a place to work out. I used to do class pass and tried all kinds of classes. Often you would walk into a new class and just sit there waiting for the new class to start feeling kind of awkward because everyone else is talking to each other. This will never happen at oxfit; as soon as you walk in everyone will introduce themselves and want to get to know you. I used to think working out 3 days a week was all I could handle, but now I do 5-6 days a week. It changes your mindset of what you can accomplish. The coaches hold you accountable and so do the other members. I've made amazing friends and lifted really heavy things :) There are people at all levels and everything can be modified. Some things I'm great at, some things need a lot of work, and there is no judgment on any of it, just encouragement.

  • Arielle Dyner

My husband and I dropped in for two weeks while staying with friends in Atlanta and had the best experience. Ant, the Owner (and a coach), was extremely helpful and made our time at OxFit very seamless. Within a day, it felt like we were part of the community. The coaches and the members are the most welcoming group of people and everyone puts in the extra effort to get to know you and remember your name. We were sad to have to leave after the two weeks, but now feel like we have a second box as our ‘home’ whenever we come back to Atlanta. The programming is great, definitely tough, but they offer multiple scaling options for movements and weights, so it is easy to drop in whether you are a beginner or an experienced CrossFitter. We highly recommend to anyone and everyone in the area or dropping in from elsewhere.

  • Brett Schultz

Gyms are very vulnerable places to be. We have to struggle and experience a lot of failure in order to grow stronger. So experiencing that at a gym where you feel known and where you can trust others is vital to a consistent workout routine. OxFit is that gym. I have never before held membership at a gym where I call people by name and frequently hear my own (usually screams of encouragement to get in that one last rep.) Now I know that shakily rising from the floor after an insanely hard workout is ten times better when it's to the sound of applause from coaches who actually acknowledge you did that WOD faster than you did two months ago. It is so great to take part in a fitness routine that has brought me results so quickly, both to my physical and emotional development. OxFit is just the best.

  • Meg

Ever since my good 'ol college lacrosse days, I had missed the competition and sense of community that comes with being part of a team. CFGS has brought that back into my life and its great to be developing as an athlete again. What impresses me most about this gym is the coaching. Coach Ant and Lauren are great at connecting with each athlete to figure out what they need as an individual to move better and reach his/her training goals. My personal kryptonite has always been the pull-up. Coach Ant broke the movement down for me in a way that I could #1 - understand the technique involved, and #2 - pin point the muscles I needed to focus on strengthening. Fast forward to 1 month and a whole lot of progression exercises later, pull-ups ain't no thang. Thank you CFGS!!

  • Remy Lemoine

I've been going to Oxfit Grant Park for three years and I love it. I love that every day I get to do something new and different, in a friendly and safe environment. I love that the coaches are always encouraging, especially when the workouts are really outside my comfort zone. I love that I get to meet and interact with a lot of fun people, whom I wouldn't necessarily meet otherwise. This is not a typical gym and over the years I've achieved better results at Oxfit than at other gyms. At 51, I'm at the best physical shape that I've ever been in my life. They key for me is that I actually look forward to working out! Give it a try, you'll definitely be suprised!

  • Patrick Cameron

This is a fantastic gym! I go to a crossfit gym up in Boylston, Massachusetts and I travel a lot of work and I try to drop into as many gyms as possible. I have probably been to over 50 different crossfit gyms via dropping in across the US. I can honestly say this was the most welcoming gym I have ever gone to and welcomed me as 'one of their own.' The workout was a ton of fun and I met some wonderful people. If you are at all considering changing crossfit gyms or try out crossfit, this would be a place I would suggest. As they were very open about scaling and everyone seemed to leave their egos at the door and were there to workout and have some fun!

  • Chris Massett

I have been part of a few crossfit style gyms in the past but none of them have been like OxFit. There is a real sense of community that is built from the first time you walk into the gym and continues to grow as you participate. The members, coaches and owners are all invested in your success both in and out of the gym and will take time to invest in you to help you achieve your goals. I look forward to going to the workout everyday not just because of the fitness they provide, but primarily because of the new friends I have and continue to make. The first day may be intimidating, but you'll find that it's one of the friendliest places in Atlanta.

  • Dawn Comeau

I love OxFit! Joining OxFit has been the best decision I have made this year. I immediately felt welcome at the gym. Everyone is friendly (and funny -- and let's face it, we all need more laughter these days) and encouraging. The coaching is great and the workouts are challenging. The space itself is also super nice and clean. Bonus: they have a program for teens so kids can also learn this great sport. I get up in the morning every day and look forward to working out. It is by far the best hour of my day. If you want to feel better about yourself, and grow stronger mentally and physically, and feel a sense of community, join OxFit!

  • Sholoman Lynch

I have been working out with Oxfit since August and I have to say it's been great. The people are super cool and friendly, the coaches are great, and the area is cleaned after every workout (which is vital during COVID- I couldn't go back to LA Fitness for this specific reason). The workouts are intense but because it is a very team oriented gym, you have people making sure you give it your bests shot. I would not have finished half the workouts if I didn't have everyone cheering me on! Plus they made it super easy for my girlfriend to come and workout with me when she was visiting from California. Can't say enough about Oxfit!

  • Christine Dyer

I came from a personal trainer to OxFit a little over 2 years ago. I felt intimidated in the gym because I have never really been a heavy lifter. However, after joining OxFit, I quickly made friends in the moms' class. It is a community of people who not only encourage me to step outside my comfort zone but continue to celebrate my successes with me each time I reached a new goal. The coaches are fantastic and always willing to explain movements, help me get stronger/faster, and they are always building up the participants in the class. Fitness has always been something I "had to do," and now it's something I "want to do."

  • Steven Kramb

OxFit is the best gym in Atlanta. Anybody at any level of health and fitness or background can walk in and reach their goals. The community is second to none as it is the most welcoming group of people who believe in this family they have created. The coaches represent the owner well in his vision to having the gym be the best part of your day. You will get fitter than you ever have before while making the best friends you’ve ever had before. I had to move away due to work and leaving OxFit is the hardest part of leaving ATL for me. But I still am following their programming because it’s that good. Best around. Bar None!

  • Casey Copen

Before moving to ATL, I made sure I had a place to live and a gym to meet new people. Now two years later, I can honestly say I have another home to call my own. Oxfit provides good energy, friends and fun workouts. A supportive and welcoming environment awaits me every morning at 6:30 AM and I love getting out of bed for it. The programming is unique and varied and is always scalable to your skill and ability level. This is a special community with events, outings and get togethers, both sporty and social. Oxfit has created a warm safe space for me in ATL and I’m so happy to be a part of it.

  • Sarah Glenn Bernstein

Oxfit is an awesome gym and an even better community! They meet you wherever you are in your fitness journey to help you achieve your personal goals and have lots of fun while you’re doing it. The owners and staff care deeply about their community which is what makes it more than just a gym. I’ve enjoyed Oxfit in while in good shape, bad shape, while pregnant, post-partum, and also online during COVID. They have fitness options that work for any one. If you don’t show up with a smile on your face, you’ll surely have one by the time you leave. Thanks Oxfit fam, y’all are the best!

  • Jim Shumake

I joined Oxfit the first week in December and have not regretted it. I was already at another gym at the time and needed to amp up my workout to see better results. After the first class (which I loved) I talked to one of the owners and she gave me a month discount till my other membership ran out. We all have been to those CrossFit gyms were everyone is lifting massive weights and can be very intimidating, Oxfit is the complete opposite. The members are all levels and you can lift just the bar if that is where your fitness level is. Very supportive community! highly recommended

  • Shane G

Love this place. Hits the right balance between a high energy / high quality workout but with a supportive community that doesn’t get overly competitive with one another. Seems to be a good fit for both newbies and regulars. Low key perks that are actually super valuable: -you don’t have to pre register for a class, so there’s no penalty if you have a last minute change of plans -you don’t have to pay an additional monthly fee for the workout app -free chalk (blows my mind that other gyms charge for this) -you get periodic pump up emails from the gym’s designated hype man Ant

  • Sher randolph

I loved my Oxfit experience working out with Lauren. I am a mom and she would allow me to bring my son with me when childcare fell apart. She even made workouts for my 3 year old and he loved working out with us because of her loving supportive energy, Lauren is also amazing at making work outs that are fun and help your body to get in shape safely. I was healing from a knee injury and she was familiar with my injury and made workouts that helped me build much needed stability and strength. I can not say enough good things abt this gym. Perfect for moms!!! Perfect for me!

  • Laura M

I saw a review for the Oxfit Moms class and knew I had to give it a try. As a solo parent, I have found it hard to always find the time to focus on me -especially when it comes to fitness and exercise. I was a bit nervous getting back up-to-speed after 5 years of being out of the gym, but Lauren has been amazing. She is so positive and encouraging, and after two months, I am already seeing and FEELING the results. So glad I took the leap! I HIGHLY recommend OxFit to any Moms out there in need of that push. There is a great community at OxFit ready to welcome you!

  • Liz Hopewell

Best Gym Ever!!! When I moved to Grant Park ~3 years ago, I was looking for a gym..primarily something convenient and good quality. Well I found that with OxFit and SO very much more! This gym has become my favorite thing about living in this neighborhood. Not only do I feel the strongest I’ve ever felt, but I feel a sense of community. Inside and outside of the gym - I love seeing the other members and really feel like I am getting to know them and they are getting to know me. I get excited to go to the gym - what more could you be looking for? JOIN OXFIT!!

  • arielgibbs11

Love OxFit!! I moved to Grant Park a few months back, and was looking for a safe space to work out during the pandemic. I’d never tried crossfit before, but as soon as I finished my first OxFit class I knew this was the place! The gym itself is super spacious and clean. The coaches are some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and I can’t speak more highly of the community. Everyone makes it a point to know your name and cheer you on. I’ve never felt more welcome at a gym, and I genuinely look forward to class every day.

  • Heidi Wheatley

I joined OxFit a few months ago. Spending so much time alone as a result of the pandemic, I needed to interact with people on a regular basis, so joining a gym sounded like a good idea. It turned out to be a great idea. What I found at Oxfit was a community of coaches and members that are supportive, encouraging, and all-around awesome people. I look forward to my workouts - no matter how tough they are - because I love the people and can feel (and see) myself getting stronger. I Oxfit!

So lucky to have Oxfit steps away from my home. When COVID started I was looking for something to keep me sane and healthy, and Oxfit has exceeded my expectations. First of all , they must be doing something right because we all have been able to work out safely during these crazy times. In about 5 months I have become so much stronger and mentally happier and more positive. Tough workouts and a tight community, everybody is friendly and cheerful .. I wholeheartedly recommend Oxfit!

  • Alexander Choy

You guys are so amazing to me and I really would like to thank you guys for being so supportive and welcoming and pushing me every class. The classes are fun and encourage a close supporting community. Always positive, no judgement. The reason I extended my contract at work to stay til June is because you guys played a part in making me feel like this could be home for a while. Thank you and thanks to the entire team. Ant, Connor, Allison, Lauren and Carlos! Thank you thank you!!

  • Sarah Beck

I have been a member of OxFit for over a year and half now, and from the moment I walked into the doors of OxFit - I knew immediately that OxFit was so different from any other gym. Over the past 18 months, I have gotten mentally and physically stronger than I thought was possible. All of the workouts have scaling options to meet you at whatever fitness level you are at, and the coaches and other members are incredibly supportive. I couldn't imagine working out anywhere else.

  • Ashlee Starr

I joined OxFit in July because I was getting bored of running and didn't think I was getting any faster or stronger. I tested my 5k in July and was running a 32 minute 5k. This week after 3 months of doing Crossfit regularly and only running 1 or 2 times per week, I ran a 28 minute 5k shaving off 4 minutes from my time in July! I would totally recommend the OxFit community. It's very welcoming and inclusive and also, I feel a lot stronger than I ever have.

OxFit has helped me get in the best shape of my life (so far) and that’s after having my first baby! This gym provides such a sense of community that you won’t find at a “typical gym.” Every Coach is so positive and helpful throughout your fitness journey. As a physical therapist, I appreciate the coaches’ flexibility and willingness to help members modify exercises to stay safe and injury free! I look forward to continuing my fitness journey with OxFit!!

  • ilana mac

I have been coming to this gym for over 3 years. Occasionally I leave for work in another city for an extended period of time and join another gym. No matter where I go it’s never the feeling I have when I’m at Oxfit. It’s a feeling of camaraderie and being around a group of people not only working out together but having fun doing it. I have never liked working out this much - it feels like a team sport where your team is always there to have your back.

  • Audrey Dakin

OxFit has become an almost daily staple to my routine. All the coaches at the EAV location are knowledgeable and work with you to get you to your goals. At other gyms, you might go months without learning people’s names, but at OxFit people are literally coming up to you to introduce themselves! The programming is challenging but fun and I have already hit a few new PRs! EAV is a great gym and Ant and Lauren really care about their athletes!!

  • Grant Hurless

I have been a member of Oxfit for almost three months, and I love them! I had plateaued on my fitness before and wanted a group atmosphere to help push harder. The coaches (Katie, Ant, and Carlos) push me hard, but it is enjoyable. I took four days off and got a motivational text from Katie that reminded me not only of the fitness I was missing but also the positivity that I get there to start my day! I highly recommend you join the fam!

  • Matt Reynolds

Best decision of my 30s. I had never done CrossFit or lifted weights seriously, so I was intimidated to try out Oxfit. After recovering from having our 3rd child though I needed something to shock the system and find a new healthier rhythm. 18 months later I’m in the best shape of my life and have found a great community that I love working out and hanging out with. Don’t delay, just get there and the coaches will take care of the rest.

  • Sydney Royes-Holmes

This past year has been challenging, but I leaned on the Oxfit community and you all were really able to pull me through this pandemic. I am so thankful to the leadership you all offered and the great coaching staff you employ. I was motivated and encouraged everytime I walked into the gym. I never knew how strong I could be, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I really became Healthier, Happier, and Harder to Kill!

  • Daniel Graves

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to join OxFit. The owners and trainers are so friendly and supportive, and the general atmosphere amongst the patrons is very positive. I’ve made more visible progress here in one month than I made in eight months of my last and most successful attempt at long-term fitness. The trainers at OxFit have done what I previously thought was impossible - they made me enjoy getting fit.

  • Amy Ellis

I'm not new to Crossfit, but super excited to find such a welcoming gym right in our very own neighborhood! Lauren and Ant are not just great coaches, they're working hard to build both a gym and a community of supportive people. I've been pleased to find a variety of different types of people and fitness levels, as well as an understanding and encouraging place to workout. A great addition to the Grant Park Community.

  • Michaela Desrosiers

OxFit is by far the best gym in Atlanta! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and immensely supportive of EVERY person that walks through the door. No matter what your fitness goal may be, you can achieve it at OxFit. The coaches truly care about your well being and want to help you be your absolute best. I feel so lucky to be part of such an amazing community and would give this gym 10 stars if I could!

  • Tristan Emmons

Everything from the facility, to the coaches, to the other members. I felt right at home. I'm a new member, and by my second class every single person called me by name and encouraged me in every single workout I did. I WANT to come back every day, and see what my new family is up to! OxFit is a community solely based off health, fitness, and success. Amazing place, amazing people. Recommend to everyone.

  • Chris Day

Getting off the couch and walking into a CrossFit gym is not something I thought I would ever do. The coaches and community I found at OxFit have made it part of my daily routine. From the No Sweat Introduction to every morning at 6am the coaches keep your goals, ability and fitness level in mind. There is a scale for everybody at OxFit. Set goals, crush them, repeat… That is what you will find at OxFit.

  • Rob D

I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get in shape. My experience with OxFit has been amazing these last 11 months. I'm in the best shape of my life . The class workouts can be tough but rewarding. Special shout out to the trainers (Leslie W., Chris, Carlos, Connor, Nikki and Morgan). They're always so knowledgeable and encouraging. I definitely recommend OxFit to my friends and family.

  • Maureen N.

Great workout! If you are bored with your current exercise program or feel like you have plateaued definitely give OxFit a try. Every day there is a new workout targeted towards a specific area of your body. I really enjoy the OxFit Moms class too. Lauren is a fantastic trainer and explains/demos each movement helping you get stronger and healthier. The environment is both supportive and social!

  • Alisa Feldman

I joined OxFit Moms a few months after having my first baby with the intention to lose the rest of my baby weight. Not only have I lost the weight, but I’m stronger than ever. I no longer live near Grant Park but drive the extra 15 minutes because you can’t find this kind of camaraderie at other gyms. It’s such a warm group of women helping each other become the best version of themselves.

  • Katie Lebel

Oxfit is such a fun gym and the owners, Lauren and Ant really care so much about each of their members and their gym experience. Everyone knows your name here and you really feel like part of a community. It's so empowering to be involved in the community of people at Oxfit who want to show up for themselves and be stronger and healthier. I'm so thankful I found this place!!

  • Jeff Teves

The coaches at Oxfit care. It shows through the quality of the workouts and the fitness focused people you will meet. Join and it will be good for you. This review is coming from someone who historically has been a runner and did not know their way around a gym. The folks here teach from the moment you join. You'll fit right in and learn the ropes in no time.

  • Pranav Dhingra

Oxfit is probably the best CrossFit in Atlanta. The owners and trainers are some of the nicest, humble, and most experienced people around. The other thing that differentiates the gym is the sense of community - you know everyone and are encouraged to form a bond and community. The classes are intense and the results show for itself. Highly recommend!

  • Cristina palmer

I just moved to the area and found OxFit gym. I was not looking forward to starting at a new gym or doing CrossFit for the first time. Those feelings were gone very quickly after starting at OxFit. The staff and other members have been extremely welcoming, and very helpful with guidance with the workouts. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone.

  • Patricia Brito

I've discovered OxFit through my son who invited me to a free class. He left (too busy playing soccer) and I stayed. I have to force myself to go to Mom's class (I'm lazy in the mornings), but I absolutely love it when I finish my workout. In just a couple of months, I have accomplished so much! Super friendly environment and very personal.

  • Brigham Stewart

One of the best gyms I’ve been to in Atlanta! As someone who gets intimidated easily at a new gym, OxFit made me feel welcomed right away. The coaches are not only nice, but super knowledgeable, making it great for beginners! The coaches make it a point for everyone to know each other’s name, which has helped me meet a ton of great people!

  • russ pysell

If you are looking for a gym full of ladies with perfect makeup live streaming in IG or dudes admiring themselves in the mirror, this is definitely NOT your place. However, if you want a rock-solid workout with coaches who will push you to do more than you believe you can, and who genuinely care how you are doing, this is likely your jam.

  • Amber Joseph

The coaching staff is very supportive and will help you be successful at reaching your fitness goals. The gym supported me through two pregnancies and offered me safe scaling options so I could continue to workout as my pregnancy progressed. The post-pregnancy training helped me return to my pre-pregnancy weight in just four months!

  • leigh cross

Joining Oxfit several years ago is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The workouts are challenging but scalable for every fitness level and the owners, coaches, and members are just great. I'm stronger than I've ever been at 47 and just getting stronger! Love starting my day at Oxfit. Check it out, you won't regret it. :)

  • Patrick Curran

When I moved to Atlanta from out of state I left a gym with a great community and struggled for over a year to find another CrossFit gym with that same focus. I feel so lucky to have found CrossFit grant street, the community that Ant and Lauren have built is amazing and the positive energy and passion they have is contagious.

  • Myela Paige

When I first came to Oxfit, all I knew is that I needed small group training and to lose weight. Well here it is almost a year later and I am the strongest I’ve ever been and lost weight. Everyone is so genuine, always there to cheer you on, and the coaches are amazing! Joining was one of the best decisions of my life! …

  • Margaret Reynolds

I can't say enough about the OxFit Mom's class! It helped me get back in shape after having 3 kids. I had no idea I could get so strong again. Lauren helped me make the modifications I needed to safely do the exercises while navigating my postpartum issues. Also, all the women in the class are amazing and so encouraging!

  • Leslie Drennan

OxFit changed the game for me and my husband. After a year and a half of going to this gym we are in the best shape of our lives, have done a sprint triathlon, and built a much stronger community within our city. It’s the best part of our day and I couldn’t ask for a more encouraging and supportive gym environment!

  • Annie Gerhart-Ramsay

I joined Oxfit Grant Park a few months after moving to Atlanta. Not only are the workouts challenging and effective (with modifications for those of us working to get in shape :)) but they’ve built a really warm, welcoming and encouraging community that has helped Atlanta to start to feel like home.

  • Carson Nyquist

OxFit surpasses what any “normal” CrossFit gym should offer. Beyond incredible facilities, the latest equipment, and talented coaches - they’ve created a community that crushes. Three years as a member, I can’t even think about leaving this rhythm, friend group, and chance to get better every day.

  • Justin Miller

I love this community! I've been at Oxfit for over 3 years and am in the best shape of my life. Ant and Lauren take a personal interest in the members and have supported me in achieving my goals inside and outside of the gym. As they say, I'm definitely, "Healthier, happier, and hard er to kill."

  • Janea Chester

I joined OxFit a couple of months ago and it’s been transformative! I workout in the OxFit Moms class and I am so happy I made the decision. In just a couple months I have gained more strength and feel much more energized. I look forward to my starting my day with a workout now.

  • Kait Whitenack

I love everything about this gym & community. I moved to Grant Park this year and wanted to get back into a healthy, fitness routine. All of the coaches and classes have been amazingly helpful for my mind and body and personal fitness goals. I recommend OxFit to everyone I meet!

  • Madison Copeland

I've been to quite a few Crossfit gyms in Atlanta. They all offer something different but OxFit had the missing piece to my fitness puzzle which was a community inside and outside the gym. I'm constantly motivated to show up because my day isn't complete without my #fitfam

  • Jay Jaber

Oxfit is awesome. It is a great gym for anyone regardless of level. The owners (Ant and Lauren) have established an incredibly welcoming environment so that you can not only get fit, but be part of a great community. I couldn't be happier with my own results this year!

  • Jorge A Lima

One of the most friendly boxes I have visited. Their culture of hospitality is evident in their athletes and staff. Before the class began, all the athletes took a minute to say hello and asked for my name. 100% recommend if you are looking for a home gym in Atlanta.

  • Chad Williams

Superb local owned and operated gym. Friendly community, no meatheads, don't be intimidated by "crossfit." Programming is great and they are offering more classes all the time. Having a challenging back issue this the best thing I have done for myself. Get strong!

  • Megan Noble

OxFit is terrific. I have a limited skill set, and they do a great job of being inclusive and supportive of everyone there (including me). Would recommend it to anyone looking for a positive and enthusiastic gym that genuinely provides a sense of community.

  • Lisa Adler

I would recommend Oxfit to ANYONE - of all levels and stages in your fitness journey. For me, at age 41, it has completely changed my relationship to my body, my overall self-esteem, and emotional health as well. The environment is supportive and fun.

  • Jiva Ahrens

By far my favorite place to work out. They have a great staff that really cares and pushes you to do your best no matter what current ability level is. They always ensure you are doing each movement correctly, matter how many times you have done it.

  • Scott Forte

I’ve been a member of 20 or so gyms (3 CrossFit) and this is by far the best one I’ve come across. An anti-LA Fitness. Everyone knows one another and it’s like getting to workout with your friends. Their mantra of #notjustagym truly resonates.

  • Hannah Washington

I love Oxfit!! This gym has got me in great shape and I can’t recommend it enough. A lot of the standard CrossFit movements gave me injuries and I joined Oxfit because they are similar, but pursue more functional fitness, doable for everyone.

  • Allison Fuster

Awesome community here! Coaches and members alike seek to get to know you and make you feel at home right from the start. I love seeing the way folks here support each other outside of the gym too. All-around great experience at oxfit!

  • David Wilmot

Joined a few weeks ago and I'm so happy that I did. The gym is clean and the workouts are challenging and motivating. But the best part is that the sense of community with everyone there is amazing! It's totally not just a gym!

  • Micah Bentley

Oxfit is the best! Great people and a great workout! Since day one everyone from coaches to other members have been encouraging, welcoming and helpful. I love starting out my day sweating with these people!

  • Ben Stowers

Oxfit is truly an all levels gym, but they always push you to be your best every day. Not sure what I would do without my fitfam to get me through the week. Through good and bad, the gym is always there :)

  • Kristopher Landmeier

Awesome experience! Very friendly coaches and owners. The athletes were welcoming and the workout was challenging. I dropped in from Indianapolis and will definitely make it a habit each time I visit Atl.

  • Haylie Garman

Oxfit is the perfect way to unwind from my day job! Everyone is VERY welcoming, super friendly, and motivating to continue coming back! Never regretted a single workout!! Thanks for keeping me fit!

  • Studio Desk (Nate's Design Studio Desk)

Great gym for people who like working out in groups. Expect supportive environment. Expect workouts to be based on a rotation of different stations. Workouts are scaled so can accommodate anyone.

Both my wife and I love the gym. Basically cured my lower back issues, and having abs for the first time in 5 years doesn’t hurt…
