Total mess. Tried to order and the site said it wouldn't accept my card, despite no issues, so I tried to order from another place also via ozfoodhunter, and everything went through fine that time - screen popped up that said it had gone through and my order had been received. The order never arrived, but when I went to check the first order was still there as pending and the second order didn't exist. Called them, and had massive trouble hearing over background noise and constant beeping, person said they'd call me back and didn't, I called again, same thing. 2 hours later, no food from anywhere, can't get an answer out of the ozfoodhunter people, the order that didn't go through is still trying to process and charge me, despite the restaurant being closed for the night, and the order that did go through apparently no longer exists, and the place is also closed for the night. Not going to be trying this again. I'll also note that a large number of the 5 star reviews here are using the same picture, and clearly faked.

Placed an order via the app at 5:20pm. App said it would be ready (delivered) in 45 mins. Half an hour later, got a confirmation text saying my order would be ready in 80 mins!! Rang the restaurant at 6:30; they said that OZFoodHunter had had internet problems, and had relayed my order over the phone. After a series of issues with the restaurant, we finally received our meal at almost 8:00. While the restaurant had its problems, I still wonder why OZFoodHunter was taking orders when it was having significant problems in actually placing those orders, and not letting customers know of delays upfront?? If I had known that our meal would take over 3 times as long as expected, I’d have got drive-thru Maccas. Small children were kept hungry and a birthday dinner was ruined. App difficult to navigate, full of spelling errors, nowhere to place a restaurant review, and keeps crashing. Will never use again.

TLDR: Don't bother and stick to the apps that actually work (e.g. Delvieroo, MenuLog, Ubereats). I ordered for the first time through OzFoodHunter and was given a delivery estimate of 40 minutes. 1 hour later I received an update that "my order had been accepted" and than I should expect the food within an hour (by which time it would be 2 hours after when I placed the order). I called the restaurant 30 minus after the latest estimate to be told "they have no idea when they could deliver the order". While I get that restaurants can be overwhelmed and these things happen, I'm frustrated that neither the restaurant or the OzFoodHunter make any attempt to keep the customer (me) updated about progress, ETA, etc. And instead, I'm forced to try and ring both the restaurant and OzFoodHunter to resolve the situation and (in the end) cancel the order and request a refund.

Should have checked reviews before using OzFH. But now I can understand the poor reviews. 1 Hour after I placed my order, I still had not heard anything and on the website my order still said "pending." So I phoned and got told that they wont be able to deliver because the delivery driver had some issue. So they said I need to go and collect the order myself. When I got to the restaurant, now 1 hour 30 after the order was placed, the restaurant had only just received the order and was starting to prepare the food. No concept of customer service from Oz Food Hunter. They could at least give me a call and let me know what is happening, long before. Finally 2hours 30 later, I got a call from someone at Oz Food Hunter, asking if everything went well with my order... No clue apparently that there was any problem whatsoever. Terrible

Placed an order for delivery, 1 hour and 15 minutes later they rang to say they had no drivers to deliver and if I would like to pick it up. I cancelled the order and requested a refund. They asked if I wanted my refund into something called OzWallet, (never heard if this, so requested to have refund through Paypal). Got a text to say refund would be within 2-6 hours, now 24 hours later and still no refund. Luckily I used Paypal to pay as I dont think the refund is coming from these scammers, so I will get my money back thru Paypal. Be very aware, read the latest reviews of these guys. Have a look at the responses from this company, they are all bot generated, there is no sincerety, I bet they dont even see or care about these reviews.

I put my order in and waited more than half an hour to collect pizza, before heading to the store and being informed that the store hadn't received my order. The prices were more expensive than quoted, and when phoning the company to find out why my order hadn't been processed, I was told because the were closed. I was standing outside the restaurant after having just ordered. I was promised a call back from this company within a few minutes, to which it never came. Upon following this up and recalling, I was told the order couldn't be put through as no one was answering the phone. Seriously frustrated, and wasted so much of my time when I had dinner guests. Disappointed in the service and response. Will never use this company again.

We ordered and we’re overcharged over $5 and when we called this company the prices were different to what we had been charged and different to their on line prices but they still wanted to argue the point even though they were telling us a different amount that was taken from our account. I went to the restaurant and explained to them and showed them the amounts and they couldn’t even understand it. The owner rang Ozi Food hunter and I said to just give me a full refund. They tell us it will take between 3 and 6 days even though it comes straight out. I placed my order with the restaurant direct and saved $25. We weren’t even having it delivered just an order for us to pick the food up. I’d be avoiding Ozi Food Hunter.

If I could do no stars it would be more appropriate. Waited nearly 2 hours for our order, went on the live chat for them to tell me they don’t have a driver they are trying to find one but my door is ready… 45 mins still waiting for a driver but the food is ready , so if we want to go pick it up we can or they can cancel the order if we prefer. If I wanted to pick it up I wouldn’t have ordered on a delivery service. Worst delivery service ever. The restaurant we ordered from were amazing and when we mentioned oz food hunter they shook their heads so it must be an ongoing problem. They gave us our order that had been sitting for hours and actually gave us a refund it’s a shame for the businesses.

I ordered my food food from the website, It got stuck on payment page and didn’t load afterwards, when i refresh the page, it said the payment went through. I never got my confirmation or anything. I just got charged $28. But i thought the order went through so i went to the restaurant aswell, the never received the order. I think these people are scam. I’m calling everyday regarding my refund but they just keep telling me that they’ll forward to account department. And specially a guy named leon promised me that he’ll refund me the money a week ago by himself on that day. I am still calling everyday for my money but these people don’t understand.

I’d give a rating of zero if I could. The website completely screwed our order and wouldn’t give us a refund. The confirmation email I received displayed items I did not order, and was what the restaurant received therefore the restaurant started making the food we did not order. The amount I was deducted was not the same as the receipt at the restaurant and that was not enough proof that they got it wrong. Contacted customer support with no resolution other than “I understand” and “send me your email confirmation”. Also the time they said food would be ready was 50 minutes and that was way off. Food could have been ready in 15 minutes.

The worst experience. DO NOT USE THEM. They called after an hour and said they had no taxis that would accept the food pick up. We rang the restaurant and food was ready and had been waiting 45 minutes. I asked Oz Food Hunter to reimburse me and they said they would. I still haven’t got my money back. Interesting Oz Food you have the same message response to everyone’s complaints. How exactly would you like me to update through my account? I tried to update my profile but won’t save. It doesn’t seem you are keen to resolve my issue. And delivery status says it was delivered- we picked it up.

We placed an order at a restaurant through this App that we were going to pickup, we planned on the food being ready when we arrived. When we turned up at the restaurant to collect our food they said that they never received the order and we would have to wait for over an hour. Ozfoodhunter contacted me to aplogisee for not sending the order through to the restaurant, then sent a message saying the order was ready at the original time I requested but this was clearly not the case. I won't ever use this service again and I suggest that nobody else use it as they are clearly very unreliable.

We ordered at 6:15pm. Waited for 2 hours and no food turned up. 3 young kids asked about 10 times when they could have dinner. We finally ended up cancelling the order at 8:15pm and kids ended up having toast. It’s the most awful food delivery service we ever experienced. Ozfoodhunter, if you don’t have enough drivers and can’t guarantee delivery, you need to shut your website down temporarily. You are driving yourself out of business operating like this! People order food delivery because they are time poor, and many have a young family. Please be a responsible operator to the community!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made an order for pick up and it let me order and pay for it (after signing up! what an awful waste of time) only for me to find out the restaurant was not even open in the first place. I called the restaurant the next day for a refund but they didn't even get the order. Now I'm calling OzFoodHunter to get this resolved and their customer support is non existent ??? the phone would ring, you'll hear some disclaimer about being recorded and then some waiting music then the music would stop and the call dropped. Just awful.

Note. You place order with ozfoodhunter and pay them. They then ring restaurant and place order over phone using there own payment method. Allot of restaurant are flagging as potential scam as they have never heard of them. Until they get awareness expect issues. I'm not sure how they offer big discounts but worked great for me. Great to see Australian owned and developed app. Good on ya! got great duscount of 35% and $5 off for my first order at local Thai we love! Great work . Will use you guys again instead of Uber and Menulog

I ordered food which was first accepted then cancelled due to the restaurant not having enough staff. I became frustrated while trying to get a refund, their website messaging service doesn't work (email addresses aren't accepted). I got a response impressively quickly via email, but they address me as “jerk”. Email screenshot attached. Edit: OzFoodhunter has since refunded me, and called to appologise for misspelling my name. Aswell as requesting I remove the cusomter service empoyee's name from the screenshot.

Placed an order online over an hour and 20minutes ago. Called the restaurant who said have just received the order via phone call from OzFoodHunter within last 15mins & will make our order now. Restaurant claim were too busy to answer phones earlier therefore seems to be a huge flaw in their process. I wouldn't bother using this service again as seems I would either be quicker trying to call restaurant myself to place the order OR use another delivery provider with an electronic order placement service.

My order for delivery was accepted. However I received a phone call to inform me my food was ready but there were no drivers avaible to deliver and I would have to collect myself. Lucky I have a car, can drive, did not have covid! But what if I could not collect? Just not good enough. Be better to refuse the order in the first place than process an order they cannot fulfill. 2 stars as they did keep me informed, refund my delivery fee and issue a discount voucher. But why would I bother to order again?

Food was really fresh and tasty, and came with complimentary papadams! The only issue is that I requested delivery for 6.25pm (from a drop down selection of times... not via a comment that could have been missed) and it arrived at 5.40pm, when I was out. The restaurant and the delivery driver called me, and I came home to the food at my door. It was no big deal really, however I think is worth commenting on and feeding back to the restaurant to be mindful of requested delivery times.

I would give less than one star if I could. An hour passed after my order and when I called the restaurant they said the company called but didn't place the order. Not only that but when they said it would be another 30 minutes for the food I asked for a cancellation and they refused to give me my money back. They were terrible on the phone and I had to keep my three year old up after her bedtime to get dinner. In total a two hour delivery service and no apology!!!!!! NEVER USE THEM

Ordered through OzFoodHunter for pickup. Payment process was fine and order was confirmed via email. The process falls apart thereafter, as there was no subsequent notification from either the restaurant or OzFoodHunter that the order was ready for pickup. I had to call the restaurant only to be told that food had been ready for some time. In fact my order still states Chef at Work! Even though I've already picked up and eaten my meal. Will never use the service again.

We ordered through these guys with an hour and a half notice. After the delivery was due they rang us to ask if we could pick it up ourselves After calls back and forth, they claimed the driver was at the restaurant but the restaurant who was on the other phone was telling us that there is no driver and our delivery was getting cold. We argued and eventually got a refund. Don't go near these guys. Maybe trying to copy menulog and the like but woefully inadequate

The restaurant I order from is great but the OZFoodHunter app sucks. I’ve tried using it in the past and when choosing a curry it asks for type of meat and how spicy but fails to proceed once you’ve made the choices. I complained to them before but it still doesn’t work. How can restaurants get any orders if the app is broken? Wesbsite has similar issues. Luckily the restaurant phoned me to ask me for my choices. I may as well order direct from the restaurant

Ordered food, got a call from QLD saying the restaurant I ordered from was closed. IT was not! They suggested another local restaurant and I agreed. Thankfully they placed the order, but even the new restaurant was suspicious of the order, and suggested I ordered directly with them next time. I'm thankful I didn't get totally scammed, but either this setup is a totally amateur outfit, or a scam. Order ended up taking over 1.5 hours, instead of 30 mins.

Used the app, the Paypal integration worked however was a little hard to follow the login process on iPhone. The restaurant received the order, however they did query as to whether I had paid, which I had done online and they seemingly took me for my word. Anyway, the order worked, and I got a discount as a bonus. Seems like a new app so I’m sure they have growing pains, but I’m happy to support and all in all I was very satisfied as a first time user.

I can understand that the fault is of the restaurant too, but OZ food hunter website should be able to prevent this. 1. Ordered food via OZ hunter 2. Restaurant cancelled, since item is not available 3. Got the SMS from OZ hunter, refund will be done 4. Couple of days later, I got SMS that order is accepted and CC was charged 5. Followed up with OZ hunter. No response on my mail to 6. Now following up with credit card company to reverse the charges

I had a worst experience ordering via Ozfoodhunter. The restaurant is just waiting for someone to pickup the food while the sitting there and getting cold but ther are no delivery drivers to pick it up. You get false texts stating that the order is picked up but when you call the restaurant, noone has picked it up. And you pay high delivery fees for this worst service. I would not recommend anyone to use this platform to order food.

Do not order online as Ozfoodhunter ordering system does not work at Kesari Point Cook. After order placement i received a phone call from restaurant to confirm whether order is for Pt Cook or Manor Lakes. Waited for 30 minutes only to find out that Point Cook have not received order. Again 30 minutes wait for no fault of mine to get food after placing order at counter. Either order direct or just don't bother. Wastage of time.

I ordered thai food from thai on Ruthven Toowoomba, i know its not restaurant fault. ai put the comments where i ordered the food no eggs or fish sauce highly allergic. But when restaurant received the order their was no comments. so they cooked with eggs and fish sauce. We waited over an hour for our order. When we contacted the store they said they received the order but there are no drivers so they didn't make it. No one contacted us to let us know. The store said they don't receive any contact details for the customer from OzFoodHunter. WT? How do you allow a sale to go through if you can't deliver the order? Now trying to chase our refund. As we are in lockdown and we couldn't go out for a birthday dinner, used OzFoodHunter to find a restaurant close by that was doing takeaway. Very easy and convenient to select meals and time for pick up. The option of paying online via OzFoodHunter meant the pick up was very quick and COVID19 safe. We will definitely use again (probably on the weekend since we are in lockdown for at least another week).

I should have read the reviews before ordering. Apparently this mob is known for fraudulence. The website and app make it seem that you are able to order through them when in fact they do not represent a lot of restaurants. I had a confirmation email saying my order was successful only to turn up at the restaurant and being told that they have never heard of OZ FoodHunter.

Worst service I have ever used.Took my order and payment for a restaurant that was closed. I contacted the restaurant directly to be advised that they were never affiliated with the company. I was told I would receive a refund immediately and did not receive until after lodging a dispute with paypal well over two weeks later. Do not order from this company.

The restaurant I ordered from doesn’t have any online connection with oz food hunter and instead received a phone call order 20mins after I placed the online order. They didn’t even seem to know what oz foodhunter was and encouraged us to use Menulog in the future. Or you might as well call the restaurant yourself than order through this app/website.

Useless system. Asks for your Postcode and/or Suburb to do a search ... then nothing. Before you can see anything they want you to "sign up". What a waste of time. Why would you sign up to a system before you see what's on offer. Obviously no common sense from the tech heads that designed this mess. Perfectly understandable why they have 2.4☆.

I have made a deliver for Father's day lunch, and made the order at 9 am to be delivered at 11.55 am. I was waiting for lunch and till 1PM the food was not delivered. When I called the restaurant, they mentioned the order was received at 1 PM. The food wasn't delivered until 1.40 and made our father's day worst. Never recommend the service.

Check if the restaurant is open first or check if they even use OFH! Ordered food, took my money, then got a call 2 hours later to tell me the restaurant was closed. 3 months later and I am still to receive my refund. Avoid at all costs and beware of the "5" star reviews. (seems to be only either 1 or 5 star reviews)

Very good app for getting food. Surprised more restaurants don't utilise it. Have had some issues with using a card to pay but on the other hand, you can actually pay by cash which is really nice compared to other providers. Would recommend, especially for ordering from the best pizza place in Perth, which is Hugos!

Thai food is one of my favorites' (not too hot) this place is very close to where I live food is absolutely gorgeous friendly staff and definitely value for money.

Restaurant ran out of gas, so I cancelled the order. I tried to contact oz food hunter for a refund but got no reply, so I've had to go through PayPal and still no reply from them. I will never use them again! Don't waste your time and just use menulog. I would give them less then 1 star if I could

Ozfood hunter needs to improve a lot. Their terminal never works, and they have never bothered to change it. They continue to use my google account to place offers and ads which i have asked them not to use many times. There is scope for improvement, but they need to take feedback seriously.

Be very careful dealing with this company. In my opinion they are very doggie. During a recent bad experience they wouldn't even tell me who owned the company. Will be taken it up with Office of Industrial Relations and Office of Fair Trading. These companies need to be exposed.
