I very highly recommend Pace PT! Vidya and her assistant Leilani are extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I came to Pace PT barely able to walk from a prolonged hospital stay and severe hip pain. In only a couple of weeks I was walking without any assistance and the pain was significantly reduced. A month later I was working out again and feeling so much better. I have gone to many PTs before that frustratingly simply watch you do your set of exercises, give you ice, and send you home… thankfully, that is NOT what happens at Pace PT. On my first visit Vidya spent over an hour with me doing a thorough evaluation and showed so much empathy for my situation. Vidya always ensures that the new exercises she provides are done correctly and then you do them at home on your own time. She focuses on hands-on therapy during your time with her. She also has new therapy equipment such as (but not limited to) Ultrasound, E-Stim, and a back stretch bench that she used for me during every session. Pace PT is very clean and the staff take all the correct COVID-19 precautions. Patients are kept in separate rooms and each room and equipment are cleaned before and after use. All the staff wear masks at all times and have been vaccinated against COVID-19. Patients are also required to keep their masks on at all times. I also have appreciated the scheduling availability at Pace PT. There are many other facilities that are booked 2-3 months out and that is not helpful when you need to start therapy right away for an acute injury or post-surgery. I consider myself very lucky to have found Vidya to accelerate my recovery. If you are looking for a great PT in the Bay Area I would strongly encourage you to give Pace PT a call.

I cannot speak highly enough of Pace Physical Therapy! This clinic has been an absolute game-changer for me. Struggling with both arthritic shoulder pain and carpal tunnel syndrome was taking a toll on my daily life, making even simple tasks a challenge. The compassionate and skilled team at Pace guided me through a tailored rehabilitation program that not only alleviated my pain but also empowered me to take control of my health. Thanks to their expertise, I've developed a personalized shoulder exercise routine that I now incorporate into my daily routine, leading to remarkable improvements in my mobility and overall well-being. What truly sets Pace Physical Therapy apart is the warm and inviting atmosphere that envelops you the moment you step inside. Unlike other PT places I have been to that feel a lot more clinical, Pace radiates positivity and genuine friendliness. The dedicated staff goes above and beyond to create a sense of belonging, making each session feel like a reunion with a close-knit family. This personal touch, combined with their holistic approach to healing, allowed me to make incredible progress on my journey to recovery. If you're seeking a physical therapy experience that exceeds the ordinary and genuinely cares about your well-being, look no further than Pace Physical Therapy. They've not only restored my physical health but have reignited my hope and zest for life.

I would highly recommend this clinic for their professionalism, cleanliness, flexibility, and of course for their vast knowledge of physical ailments. I had ongoing foot pain that progressed into knee pain, then hip discomfort. It was probably 4 months of a worsening problem that I thought I could fix with better shoe insoles before I went to Dr. V. I showed up at her office skeptical to say the least, and within 5 minutes of Dr. V assessing me, she could see clearly that I had a case of Achilles tendonitis. We did therapy for about 6 weeks and I am happy to say that my foot is totally healed now! Dr. V used the most up-to-date therapies including E-stim and the handheld percussion massage gun to find places on my leg that I didn't even realize were being compromised. Dr. Vidya does a great job of teaching proper body mechanics and ergonomics to prevent future injuries, too. I also liked that there are separate treatment rooms for privacy and a limited number of clients scheduled at a time. As a nurse, I thought I knew what was going on with my body but it's clear that we should leave that to the professionals. I was preparing myself to spend the rest of my career/life with a limp but thankfully I don't have to now. Many thanks to Dr. Vidya and Leilani for their patience and perseverance! If you need PT, just give them a chance and you won't regret it!

Found Pace PT through my insurance and briefly scrolled through Yelp to vet a few options. Blessed to take the leap of faith to try out Pace PT...it's been a few weeks now and I can say I've had a great experience so far! I've had my fair share of PT providers throughout my childhood, so I definitely know what makes a good provider. Dr. Vidya keeps a tight group with her being the only therapist with support from Leilani, Romina, and Julio. I went in since I've had elbow tendonitis for years now (around 4-5 years) and my ortho recommended I try out PT. Dr. Vidya has specific exercises she has me do during my session, and then will finish off with some ultrasound massaging, stim, and taping (as needed). Dr. Vidya is very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. Although the office is smaller compared to other clinics I've been to, I feel it is completely sufficient to help individuals get back to 100%! Their lines do get busy or they may not have enough resources to pick up the phone. I would email and call again / leave a voicemail. The team will get back to you! Although the road to get my elbow back to 100% will be tough, I know having Dr. Vidya and staff supporting me will definitely help! Follow the adventure @shoyuthebest on IG!

I was referred to Dr. Vidya Devarapalli DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) at Pace Physical Therapy after having arthroscopic knee surgery. I absolutely love Pace Physical Therapy. They have a very knowledgeable, caring and thorough staff. The facility is kept very clean and is set up to have good flow from one exercise to another. The treatment rooms are fully enclosed rooms (not just curtains) allowing for complete privacy. During my treatments there were almost always three staff at the clinic. Dr. Vidya Devarapalli, Leilani a PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant), and an intern from San Jose State University. This allowed for a lot of 1 on 1 time providing positive reinforcement, and ensuring proper form while exercising. My therapy never got boring and was always changing based on how I was doing with my recovery. My prescribed in office and at home exercise programs were combined with the use of BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) training, NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation) therapy, and therapeutic ultrasound promoting healing and shortening my recovery. I hope I never have a need for Physical Therapy again, but if I do I’ll definitely be checking with Pace Physical Therapy first.

Pace Physical Therapy rocks! Dr.V and her team made my traumatic ankle sprain injury a thing of the past! When you walk into their office, you are instantly greeted with warm smiles, the kind that makes you feel welcome and loved. They guided me through my healing journey, walking me through the exercises, putting me on machines and giving me “homework.” They always checked on me during treatment so that I didn’t feel like I was forgotten amidst the constant influx of patients. They made sure that I always left feeling happy and relieved of pain. All the team members are great but Jason is my absolute favorite! He was there with me every step of the way, literally and figuratively This guy is awesome! He’s like a human teddy bear, so kind and caring that you just want to give him a hug! My ankle is now good as new! I have another work related neck injury that has been bothering me so I continue to come here for traction, EMS and Graston therapy. Thank you Dr.V for being awesome! You’ve created an environment where patients feel well taken care of. Your expertise and friendly demeanor makes us feel special. That means a lot to someone who is eager to heal.

The staff is very nice, and I am sure the therapist is very good, but I didn't feel she was addressing my needs. I read they do manual therapy (sort of like acupressure or soft tissue work on your muscles), and when I asked about it, the front desk girl got defensive and said they don't do massage, so I didn't return. I am now with a new therapist who right away did manual work, plus exercises, and I am feeling better already. When I told the. physical therapist at Pace that I wasn't getting better, she told me I should get cortisone shots. Why would I come to her if I am going to be sent for cortisone shots? Anyway, don't let my experience influence you. It wasn't for me, but it could work for you.

I highly recommend Dr. Vidya Devarapalli. She is experienced, knows the answer at every turn, and she is the one treating you. At other PT places I've been seen by a 22-24 year old that doesn't have enough experience in my eyes. I like the 1 on 1 attention, she has that mix of care and push that you need from a PT in the office, and gives me the right things to do at home as well. She will not only treat you, but educate you on what the treatment works on. She is flexible and accommodating in scheduling appointments. And the most important part is that I'm getting better because of her care and treatment. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Vidya Devarapalli.

June 15, 2019 I am 84 years old and live in Assisted Living at Moldaw Residences in Palo Alto. I started physical therapy sessions with Vidya Devarapalli (DPT) in the late fall of 2018 (after observing what she accomplished with my wife) and worked with her until she left the Moldaw in the spring of 2019. I have spinal stenosis which I have chosen to treat with exercise instead of surgery (not always successfully). Working with Vidya, I was able to almost eliminate the back pain, strengthen my core muscles, and substantially improve my posture/balance while walking. I highly recommend Vidya based on my experience.

  • Suzi York

They don’t come any better than Vidya. I had about 6 various therapists and doctors at Kaiser who worked on me or studied my case. It was 8 years of pain. On a 1-10 scale, I was at 7-9 much of the time. After switching insurance, I discovered Vidya and Pace: My mobility is returning and my pain has dropped significantly…. To the point that some days it’s gone!!! I’m so grateful for what she’s done, and for her kind and considerate way. I look forward to going in. If you are in pain and haven’t found relief, I hope you happen upon this note and give her a try. You’ll be glad you did!

I was referred here by my doctor for chronic knee pain, after X-rays showed nothing. Vidya filmed me walking and climbing stairs from behind and showed me that I wasn’t using my hip and glutes on that side at all — I must have pulled or strained something there once and stopped using those muscles, and my knee hurt because it was working too hard. She used ultrasound to bring down the inflammation and taught me a series of exercises to build the atrophied muscles up again. After 12 sessions my knee feels much better and I’m walking and running without pain. :-)

  • Mercedes Naguiat

Dr. Vidya and Leilani are awesome. I came in with a back problem because I was lifting weights wrong and had been in pain for a month. They gave me exercises that I could do at home to strengthen the affected muscles and used the TENS machine as well as an ultrasound every session to help relax my back. I was back to normal after a few sessions! And they provide such a warm atmosphere for their patients, it really felt like I was hanging out with friends rather than just going to PT. I won't be going anywhere else for my PT needs. I highly recommend them!

I started going to Pace Physical a few months back. Dr.Vidya and her team is amazing and kept me coming back. They are friendly and cordial in their interaction. But, primarily are effective in their treatment offered. I went with a frozen shoulder type issue with discomfort and motion restrictions, but she and her team worked on it efficiently, educated me along the way and today I am a whole lot better than I was when I started with them. I feel cared for too. Most wholeheartedly recommend Pace!

  • dawn mai

Dr V helped me tremendously. I was having right shoulder pain, likely from kettle bell workout. It was painful and I avoided exercise that involved my right shoulder/arm, sleeping on my right side and relied on ibuprofen for relief. Through a few sessions and tools she gave me, I am able to exercise again and not needing to take ibuprofen regularly. I am also able to sleep on my right side and that is definitely great for being a side sleeper. She is knowledgeable and an expert in the field.

I was referred by my PCP to Dr. Vidya Deverapalli to help me with my severe sciatic pain. She has recently opened her practice, and I would highly recommend it based on what she's done for me. She has been incredibly helpful and fully explains exactly what she's doing and why. She gives exercises to do at home, and my pain has decreased by at least 75% since I've been going to her for treatment. Vidya is very personable and professional and her office is fully equipped.

  • M Barale

Amazing personalized physical therapy! I was referred to Pace Physical Therapy by my primary physician. What a wonderful change from the cattle call place I went to before. Vidya is a friendly, competent physical therapist who creates a personalized plan for each of her patients. Her method is to explain the processes and the why's and she makes you feel comfortable and cared for. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Pace Physical Therapy.

  • Ali Aminzadeh

I had severe pain because of pinched nerve in my neck that radiated across my entire right upper back. The doctor and very kind and professional care team put me through a series of therapies in the office and guided me w easy to understand and do (not overwhelming) home exercises. I fully recovered in 3 weeks. Overall experience was great… flexible scheduling, always on time, and paid careful attention throughout my visits. Thank you for all your help!

  • Jia Zhang

Found them through my insurance, started seeing Vidya last week due to long term neck/back/hip pain etc. Love the office vibe, and the attending staff, I never felt I was left on a table with machines and not being attended. I only had two visits so muscle improvements are not super obvious yet, but I definitely notice improvements. I'm confident I'll get great results with their help plus my own effort to follow the recommended exercise routine.

  • Wayne Innamorato

My wife started seeing Dr. Vidya Devarapalli two weeks ago because of hip pain. She has seen good improvement and the doctor is really good at explaining why the pain is occurring and what to do for it. She sends home detailed instructions of what to do between visits and my wife tells me that the Dr. really takes time to explain what she's doing and why. I would definitely recommend her based on my results.

  • Marshall Godfrey

Pace Physical Therapy was a great experience, the facility is clean, professional and the owner & staff members are excellent. I had an awful foot injury for years and Pace Physical Therapy was able to make it a lot better. They are so efficient that when my daughter's ankles did not properly heal from a basketball injury, they are were able to make her even stronger before!!!

  • James Ptarcinski

I highly recommend Pace Physical Therapy. After straining my back and suffering from muscle tightness, pain and lack of flexibility my doctor suggested PT. Vidya demonstrated knowledge in my condition, educated me and provided exercises that helped alleviate the pain and gain flexibility. Vidya is indeed a highly knowledgeable professional, I would recommend her for PT.

This review is long overdue. Everyone at Pace is kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I had terrible back pain when I first went here. Dr. V taught me exercises, administered e-stem and ultrasound in every session until I found myself getting so much better. I drove 30 miles to meet the doctor every week and it was totally worth it. Highly recommend this place!

  • Aida

I visited Pace Physical therapy for a back pain caused by lifting a heavy object. The series of exercises over one month along with heating pads helped me to feel better. Dr V is very knowledgable and she explained why the injury happened and how to prevent it from happening next time. Dr V and her staff are very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend.

  • CA Lady

Dr. V and her staff are lovely. I had a issue over the July4th weekend and Dr. V. was not scheduled to open that day but came in for me to start me on a exercise program. I was extremely grateful. Her facility is pristine and most importantly, she gave me lots of attention and spot on advise. I am VERY HAPPY to have found Dr. V.
