First the selection of cakes for special occasions is very slim. I custom designed mine giving them a new creation they never done and the lady (owner or manager) said she doesnt make them and had to see if adding sparkly sprinkles was available. the cake is $120.00 so I figuered I have all the right to ask for specifics but she was irritable said she hadnt ate that day and her personal phone kept ringing as I placed my order. She said for me to return the next day and placed my deposit of $60.00. I returned 2days later to place my deposit. The morning of my daughters bday I called to confirm what time it would be ready for pick up they asked for my name and what the cake looked like. i told them, she placed me on hold and then said it will be ready at 2pm. At 330 my father went to pickup the cake and they DID NOT HAVE IT and SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE my cake order. I WAS HIGHLY UPSET. THEY HAVE NOT CALLED ABOUT REFUNDING THE MONEY NOR TO APOLOGIZE. WE HAD TO BUY CAKES LAST MIN SOMEWHERE ELSE. AWFUL SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN!!!

My husband has brought home bread from many other places in the Fort Worth area and I was never really impressed with the taste and quality of the bread. Today, we were in the area and decided to get some bread from here. I was shocked to find how small the place was, but the parking lot was almost completely full. I told my husband that this place must be a popular spot to get bread. He said it was. When we went in, I was even more impressed with this place. The employees were putting out fresh bread. They were really friendly and helped me select some delicious bread. They had all of my favorites here and more. Looks are deceiving here. It is a small place, but they have a great selection of bread. The prices were also very reasonable. You won't be disappointed. I am pretty picky when it comes to Mexican bread and this place has become my go to place to get some.:)

Sorry I didn't mean to leave it as a 4 star. I personally apologize for any miss understanding. I personally love the selection of sweets and the quality of it; especially the cakes. All bread is fresh and warm I have never felt like a corner is being cut when it comes to the food you produce. Not to mention the bakery is very nice, and we'll maintained, floor is clean and can't find any complaints on the style and look of the bakery. The people cashiering are lovely and are very nice even when they are being rushed with customer after customer.Tho I wish there was more parking during the busy hours of the day, this place deserves the 5 stars. In any improvement I'd say to have a positive outlook into expanding this business.

As soon as you step out of your car the smell is nostalgic, brings back so many memories. They have a huge selection of pan dulce and everything taste amazing! So fresh, go check them out you won't be disappointed.

Their bread is the best and I really recommend this place has so much variety and this is why we always go there. I was unfortunately disappointed in their rosca de Reyes extremely small and ordered online to skip the inside line. The rosca didn’t have almost no decoration that traditional roscas do and was not like the pictures they have. We had to buy another one at a local grocery store and was way bigger than theirs. For the price it was not what was expected. Theirs is the small one in the picture tasted great but way to small for the price with no decoration!

I've been coming here since they had their previous, smaller location across the street. If the low prices aren't enough to attract you, the quality and freshness of the bread is sure to do the job. They constantly replace the stands with freshly made sweets of every variety you could want. Authenticity is at the heart of all their recipes, and I have yet to find a place that rivals their flavor. Finally, their establishment is clean and well-kept, and all of their workers are friendly and helpful. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

  • Erika Aragón

The best panadería and amazing staff very kind and respectful people. My husband and I got a little bit of everything two trays full from donuts to conchas to marranitos chocolate cookies. One thing is as amazing as the other, we even made it right before cafecito time and everything was fresh out of the oven and it was the best weekend ever. Highly recommended. Coming this Sunday too. (Only picture taken right before the last plate)

Don Goyo Panederia is awesome it has every type of (Pan Dulce) Mexican sweet bread you can imagine made daily and fresh. Right down the street from the TCU campus. Stop by and get a taste of a REAL AUTHENTIC MEXICAN BAKERY. Don Goyo also has Donuts and Awesome Sausage Rolls so If you're in this area at any time I suggest you stop here and grab yourself some (Pan Dulce) Mexican sweet bread you will definitely not be disappointed!

  • Fatima Ednita

I can't think of a bad experience. Everything is great! I went to buy a last minute birthday cake for my dad and the employee there was so nice and patient. She explained all the cakes they had and all details. I had gone to El Rancho supermarket bakery with horrible service and them forgetting to do my cake. I am so glad that I went to Anakaren! Very clean and delicious pasteries and by the way I ended buying 2 cakes!

  • Melinda Estrada

This place has recently changed names, it was my first time there, the cleanliness of the store was above average, the assortment of items was superb. I usually rank a bakery by their conchas and Wow their or at least the one I tasted was “Hot off the press” so soft and delicious pretty sure the best I ever had, makes me not ever want to buy any from any grocery stores. This place is affordable and a total treasure.

  • Lorena Perez

Great place to get freshly baked items. The original store, to my knowledge, brings in fresh items daily. I’ve tried to come in before to get a flan and they were out. I’ve realized that’s it’s better to order from the Fort Worth location and get it sent to the Evernan store when you need it. This way, you don’t have to go through the stress of driving to Fort Worth to get what you need in case they’re out.

  • Ann Frederick

They have posted hours on their door but they do not abide by them. Please call before you head out. I called them 3 times before someone picked up and then waited in the parking lot for someone to open the doors. It said they closed at 6pm and I was there at 3pm.....so no excuses. Also the pastries are not as good as the other locations in fort worth, the flavor was just off. I will not come here again.

  • samantha dee

This bakery is where it’s at!! They have amazing desserts and their customer service is top notch!! I got in right when they had freshly baked conchas and never in my life have I ever had something so delicious. I couldn’t even wait to get home and it left me wanting more. I regret to say I only bought 2. Also they’re bilingual which is very helpful. Will definitely be back in the next few days.

  • Valerio Alfalfa

I am giving this place a really bad review in the experience that I had today. Order 2 cakes last week and still called Friday 7/2 to confirm that everything was going to be ready for today at 2 pm. I arrive to pick it up and they told me that they had nothing for me no order or anything. Finally they found it and turned out that it was not ready and had to get a decoration they came up with.

  • Jino Diaz

The food is good but it is not worth the customer service. They are more than incapable of taking orders. The level of aggravation my mother and I fel when asking them about our cake was above normal. They were useless when we asked where their other bakeries were and did not so much as try to cooperate with us. I will most certainly not be buying anything from their again.

  • MeIissA K

I'll leave a one star over hygiene, because when I was paying my items the cashier touched the money with the glove she was wearing putting the bread in the bag , I told her she might have to throw it away, but she acted like she didn't understand what I said . For me was so nasty, because next costumer will eat dirty bread without even know .

  • Jorge Alarcon

Panaderías Don Goyo was fully stocked with a variety of bread. The quality of the food is great! Their large cakes looked very well put together but did not buy one. The concha’s are pretty good. Give it a try! Delicious! Their customer service was satisfactory. That could be an area of improvement! Thank you, Panaderías Don Goyo.

  • Monica Nevarez

I love this panadería! I drive from Arlington just for their bread. The order online feature is awesome! Just pull up through the window and they have your order ready. Always fresh bread and smells delicious even from the parking lot. Not to mention they have excellent customer service and are polite. Gracias Don Goyo! :)

  • Anthony

Oh My God. My partner brought me here to pick up a desert (so I thought). We ended up getting 12+ various pastries and cakes for the week that smelled like heaven. What a wonderful experience shopping there was; great service too! update: we recently bought a tres leches cake for my partner's birthday and it was divine :)

  • Beatriz Nava

I've been a customer for 3 years and love their sweet bread and cakes. However, I have recently experienced bad customer service several times. There's a cashier that had an attitude with me after I asked to write happy birthday on my cake. She was very rude to me infront of a lot of customers. I will not be going back!

  • Craig Fox

Impressive assortment of traditional Mexican treats and very reasonable prices. Grab a tray and begin selecting from vast array of baked goods in the cabinets and assistance is readily available if needed (limited English spoken). They also have beautiful cakes and sell milk and other drinks for your pastries.

  • Lizbeth Nunez

OMG I just went to that store and I love it... I tried some donuts and they were awesome keep it up people and I'm very proud if my race love ya.... I live 5 hours from here and I always come to Texas to visit my Tia but when we leave Texas we go get some and then leave is the best bread ever.....

  • Allegra Barragan

Used to be Anakaren, this location has recently changed names. But the pan dulce is still amazing! I don’t normally choose conchas because they are mediocre when not fresh, but WOW the conchas here are always soft and fresh. So so good. If you spend $5+ and pay in cash, you get a free item.

  • Bruce Willden

Great breads. I used to buy Pan Colombiano from Fiesta. No more! What Panaderías Don Goyo has is much better but with a different name: Cuernos con Quesa Crema. Bread with cream cheese in it. Their prices are also very good! I should have taken pictures, but I didn't. Bread looked great!

  • Marina Lara

I was in to get sweet bread at 2:00 in the afternoon. on November 29, 2020 i was impressed that there was more people when I was in there and I wasn't impressed that a lady was swepting the floor when the sweet bread was on the floor on cart all the dust went all over the sweet bread

  • Shane Boyle

To die for Mexican bakery! My wife and I both grew up in El Paso and have looked for almost a decade to find anything close to Gussie’s bakery and this place is amazing! Come in, grab a pizza pan and some tongs go grab what you want and checkout!!!! The cajeta Flan is delicious!!!!!

  • Danielle thomasson

Went in specifically for a tres leches cake, and was not disappointed! They have so many breads and cakes to choose from. Employees are nice, and one of them was bringing out a fresh batch of concha’s, and they smelled amazing! Everything in here looked delicious! I will be back!

  • Stardog

Complaining about the parking lot. People park behind where cars are already parked. I had a hard time backing out all because an imbecile decided to stop behind me. Y’all need to put up a sign to let people know you can’t park near the. Door entrance. The bread is great though

  • Luz Cardona

The bread is good and their cakes too but when i was in there they had conchas on a rack in middle of the store and an employee sweeping throwing dust. I brought it to their attention and girl said nothing gets on bread im sure it did i saw it with my own eyes …

  • Richard Torrez-Garcia

Just left this little Panaderia and I must say - I was impressed! They had every little concoction you could think of! We left with over 2 dozen different products; all looking delicious! All of this was only $12! I'll definitely come back!

  • Eloisa Ortega

Its aggrevating to know the prices, until your bills shows what you purchased. I have advised them to put prices on the product. They just fluff it off. I like their products but I need to go somewherelse. No one else use this practice.

  • Jesus Flores

This place is amazing, have been coming here since I was younger (since when they switched to this building from the one down the street). They are always friendly and the facility is clean. Hands down the best bakery for miles around.

  • Edgar Baca

Best concha’s I’ve ever had They put a lot of sugar on them making the ration perfect They’re super fluffy on inside Great selection Open most of the day Prices are pretty good for what you’re getting

  • Todd Atkins

Best kept secret on the Southside just go there if you haven't been you get a tray and some hand clip in this pick out all the little goodies and treats you want the price is very fair and they are delicious opens at 5 a.m.

  • Linda Hernandez

The pan dulce is ALWAYS so fresh and yummy! They have a wide variety. All the different pieces remind me of when I was little. I have no idea about the prices. I love their pan dulce so much I don't even pay attention. Lol

  • Joshua Wright

Large selection of breads and treats! I especially love their Tres Leche and Arroz con Leche! In the evening this place tends to be packed but they push people through the registers quite quickly. Always a fun place to go!

  • Jon Deville

I live pretty close to the place so it’s definitely our go to panadería. I’m assuming they bought out Anakaren bakeries. Place is still pretty good, always busy, pretty quick service, and nothing really disappoints there.

  • Cristal Pedraza

Best place for fresh pan dulce. But you betterget there super early if you know its gonna be cold out. Litterally had to wait in line once for close to 30 min. But well worth the wait. Down side not enough parking at all.

  • Maria Zuniga

This time I felt a little disappointed because the sweet bread it was cold and my bolillos too crunchy n cold. They should to cover the hole the container and keep the bread in room temperature... it was cool in there

  • Edwardo Moreno

All the Mexican sweet bread you would expect at a good price plus extras like rice pudding, flan birthday cakes and more! The girls are sweet and helpful even if you don't speak Spanish they'll get someone who does.

  • rosa moreno

The bread here is sooo good and made everyday if you have some left over bread don't through it away just warm it for severeal seconds on the micro and is ready again...warm,soft,delicious like when you buy it!!

  • Aubrey Mack

Amazing! This is the only place where i get my cakes and more! Such a large quantity and variety of delicious treats. 100% Recommended and if you are hungry for a treat, youll know where to go …

  • polly G.

I'm super picky when it comes to my pan. I'm a regular here. Its the only place I go. Trust me That says alot... wish they would bring back the regular smile cookies. Other than that, I love this place!!!

  • Renzo Arevalo

Quality sweet bread with a variety to choose from. The smell of first walking in is euphoric! However the bread is shrinking in size and the price is going up. Nevertheless our go-to sweet bread place.

  • Alex garcia

They definitely have some of the best freshly baked bread in town. So fresh that you can smell the Conchas right as soon as you walk in. We at least stop 2 or 3 times a month to get some baked goods.

  • Cris Ren

Stopped by in the early morning for a tres leches cake. As soon as I entered, I was immediately assisted by very pleasant staff. The cake was for my wife and was incredibly well made and delicious.

  • BluSpectre

An amazing little pastalaria y panderia (Pastry and Bread Bakery) with authentic Mexican treats for really cheap! I highly recommend dropping in with a dollar and buying a pastry or two as a snack!

  • Henry U

The bread is good. It is not like the Mexican bread in Mexico, I believe. Is like some ingredients are missing, but is the closest bread I tasted that comes close to the original Mexican bread.

  • Rene Yanez

Taken by friends so good !! But need more check out people. Cmon an some English please. I understand it's Hispanic bakery Speak English to me A simple jes or no an dis cost dis much will do

  • Alex

Very good selection of bread! The cheese bread (don't knock it until you try it!!) is my favorite and they make it so good here. Definitely a good place to get authentic Mexican pan dulce.

  • Elizabeth Matthes

Love the high quality of traditional Mexican pastries! Everything I've tried is fabulous. The selection is great & the layout is roomy. You select what you want then go pay at the counter.

  • Angel Escobar

Parking is sometimes difficult, but the pan dulce is always good, need to join door dash, I visit at least twice a week and parking it's just not enough, especially when it's cold outside

  • Monica Y O'Neal

Great selection but you have to be there early. They run out of things later in the evening, and expect to wait in a long line on cold days when everyone is craving warm bread.

  • M.d Rico

The best. Pan made old school. You need to try it . every time i come in to town. I spend $40.00 they need to open another one in rockwall tx. So I don't have to drive so far

We bought several of their cookies and pastries online. Picked up at the store. I found out they have a drive-thru for online orders. Everything was good. Not overly sweet.
