If you are looking for a funeral home where their focus is on service to families (not profits), I highly recommend Park Memorial Funeral Home. We recently looked after the arrangements for a family who were visiting from Spain, and tragically the young visitor died suddenly on his vacation. We made the arrangements with the family on Friday, and their flight was booked to take their son home on Monday, however there was paperwork that we needed to send to the Spanish consulate prior to them being able to leave on Monday. There was a permit that we had to send to the consulate, and the permit is printed in Edmonton from Vital Statistics, and then couriered to us in Calgary. The earliest we would receive the paperwork from Vital Statistics was Tuesday, so the family was going to have to reschedule their flight. We called a number of funeral homes in Edmonton inquiring if someone from their office could go to the Vital Statistics office to pick up the document, and then email a copy to us so that we could help them obtain the paperwork to go back home on Monday with their son. Of all the funeral homes that we called, the only funeral home that would help was Park Memorial Funeral Home. Within an hour they had a copy of the permit sent to us. We were able to send everything to the consulate for the family, and they were able to take their son home on Monday as planned. Park Memorial made themselves available immediately to help a family in need, with no charge to the family. On behalf of Choice Memorial (in Calgary) and the family, please accept our sincere thanks for being a funeral home that serves from the heart. Park Memorial was amazing. These people have one of the hardest jobs on the planet. Constantly surrounded by sad people. Yet they maintain a loving, caring and respectful demeanour. My first contact was late evening jan 22 2021. My brother was found deceased in his apartment. They had someone there to collect him in an hour and a half. The 2 gentlemen that picked him up were so kind and thoughtful. I was a complete mess and they reassured me they would take good care of him. Next contact was with Brad. Once again very kind and helpful. We then came in and met with Nicole. She was thoughtful and walked us through my brothers arrangements so throughly Still keeping a kind disposition. Then today I received a call my brothers urn was to be picked up. Tracy sat down with me and was so compassionate to our story and even became emotional too. Which just showed me how much these people have to endure dealing with grieving people and attempt to not being that home with them. The level of care and compassion I received from everyone is very much appreciated and made a horribly traumatizing event seamless and as painless as possible. Bless you all and all your hard work. Thank you again ❤️ Jodi Marsh

When I first went to see about arrangements for our father. I felt a trust in them. Felt really disappointed that the actual service really felt rushed out the back door and all the songs weren't played ntm there was no mention if anyone had written a eulogy. Just when it was finished we were showed the back door. For 5700 dollars and I did my own cards and slideshow. I would have thought we could have been offered the reception area to mingle with family later to console one another and share good memories. Maybe a few laughs. Even if an extra fee was offered. It just felt really impersonal and rushed. I felt really alone and empty. Sure would have been nice too meet up after service over some tea and light snacks on a room that was capable to hold my whole family. Felt really disappointed that all my aunties on my mother's side travelled for this menial service. But they did make dad look good.

On one of the hardest days in the last year, Sarah Arnold and Shalea Prevost went above and beyond our family’s expectations and words can not describe how impactful their service was during our time of grief. Our previous experience with another funeral home was extremely negative. We were absolutely SHOCKED when they first offered their condolences, listened with compassion and shared in our grief at losing our mom in November and then our dad in May. They ensured our needs and wishes were met. From the smallest detail, ensuring jewelry was returned to the family, down to providing all the details of the paperwork involved, these ladies were amazing! We never felt the pressure to provide the ”payment” prior to the details being discussed. We felt at ease knowing our dad was in such good hands.

Our experience with Shalea Prevost and Sarah Arnold from Park Memorial was truly wonderful. Both of these exceptional ladies had compassion, empathy and kindness towards my husband, myself and our entire family during the days following my father in laws passing. Which happened only 161 days apart from the passing of my mother in law. Being allowed to grieve in their presence and afterwards with dignity and grace and not feeling rushed to “sign on any dotted lines” was not only appreciated it was what turned a really hard emotional day/experience into one that we can all look back on and smile as we truly felt taken care of and that our beloved was too. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and professionalism shown that day. Sincerely Lisa & Brent Berthiaume

Park Memorial is truly an amazing company. Sadly I have been involved with several funerals in recent years so I have had a chance to compare. The professionalism and respect that we received at Park memorial was a step above anywhere else that I have experienced. They were so kind and caring and it felt like they were going through the process right beside us, step by step. I’ve been involved in 3 funerals at Park Memorial and each time we felt cared for. I trust these people with my heart and soul. At other funeral homes I felt like I was buying a used car. UpSold and disrespected. But NOT at Park. Park Memorial has free grief support and they helped me so much when my parents passed. I highly recommend and would give them 100 stars if I could.

Thank you Park Memorial! Back in May 2020 we lost my wife / a mother / sister and a friend to many. We had no idea where to go with respect to funeral arrangements but are so happy we picked Park Memorial. Alexandra from Park Memorial was a kind, considerate and caring person that made the process so much easier . She answered our questions in an extremely timely manner and made us feel like we were the only clients she had. 17 months after the funeral we reached out to Alexandra to help us get some programs printed for the Celebration of Life. She helped us immediately with no questions. I hope we are not in the market to use a funeral home in the near future but if we are…. There really is no choice. Thank you Park Memorial!!

Kirsty Smolyk and her staff went above and beyond expectations while helping us navigate through the heartbreaking task of planning my husband’s funeral. They were always available and answered our questions as well as helpful suggestions and recommendations beyond the scope of their work. The day of the funeral we were comforted and the event went flawlessly, with many friends and family commenting on the professionalism, the care and presence of the staff. We still feel supported and plan on attending the helpful session with Dr. Alan Wolfelt, a renowned speaker and author on grief and mourning. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

She was caring and compassionate and help provided with all the information not with just the service but with everything else outside the service as well. Our family can never thank her and the people at park memorial funeral home enough for everything they did and we will always be forever grateful. I want to personally Thank Park Memorial for the kind and compassionate service provided to our family when my Dad passed away. Tom Duffus and Brad Eleniak we’re extremely thoughtful and professional. This was a very difficult time for me. Tom, Brad and all the staff did so much to assist in honouring my Dads life. My family has dealt with Park Memorial for many decades and I had the privilege of knowing Jerry Smolyk and Bob Greschuk very well. I highly recommend the service that Park Memorial provides to families at their time of need. Terry Paranych, President, Paranych Group of Companies.

If only I could rate zero stars. Made a very difficult time even more stressful for myself and my family, due in part to deception from a "family member" even though we told them many times that the person in question had no authority. So very dissappinted that a service that you should be able to trust without a doubt doesnt even come close to measuring up. So glad I work in an industry where I can spread the word to use any service other than this one. Shame on you all

My precious Dad passed away on April 2, 2022, his funeral was on April 8th 2022. I want to Thank Sarah and all the staff at Park Memorial. They were exceptional in their care and diligence to help me with all the preparations regarding my Dad's funeral and how they conducted themselves throughout the entire process. My gratitude towards Park Memorial goes beyond what words could say. Forever Thankful. God bless you all. Carmen

Thank you to the staff at Park Memorial for helping make the process of parting with our mother as simple and elegant as possible. Alexandra went above and beyond for our family; before, during and well after services were completed. They gave us a place to grieve our mother and celebrate her beautiful life as well. The Roman family would like to thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts!

From start to finish the planning and execution of my mother's service was exceptional. I found Park Memorial to be respectful, kind and thoughtful! They listened to all of our wishes and needs. They gave guidance when needed & advice when asked. They were equally accomidating in the days that followed. In such a time of loss for our family the staff went above and beyond! Thank You!

  • Ashley Yew

Worst experience, it was a hard day as it was and they just made it terrible treated me with no respect. I get it that there’s limits but you should have put the family first but instead I had to be asked to leave the building because they were at max capacity without even knowing who I was or trying to help me any further, plus of top of that such a rude lady.

The service for my mother-in-law was so very well handled, I can't say enough. During these strange Covid times, Park Memorial made sure we were all at ease, and helped us through every step of the process. The officiant was truly AMAZING. It was a beautiful service. Those watching online said it was easy to connect and quality was great.

I had Tom Duffus as the funeral director and he took care of everything for me with regards to the passing of my father. He was straight to the point and tended to all my questions. He made handling the passing of my father less stressful for me to deal with. Also the office staff, Tracy was a big help too getting the process going.

During hard times when my father passed away. Jacky and Gilla have been really good to our family and provided support up to this day even though it has been months since the funeral. They have shown compassion and respect to our family during these hard times. Thank you so much for what you have done for us.

  • ellie palme

Tanisha at Park Memorial went above and beyond to help our family deal with the death of our mom. Without giving details, she was very understanding and compassionate in our case. I would recommend this company very highly - never have I experienced such a kind act on their part. Thank you Tanisha!

  • helga romero

It’s a very nice place. At the entrance there are a lot of couches to sit and visit before and after funeral service. The staff was very professional and well presented. The room for celebration of life is huge. The tv screens were nice and big for everyone to see without any problems.

  • Re View

Extremely expensive for Just a basic cremation. Felt things could of been done a little different as I had to call to find out about the ashes of a loved one that was cremated a week before I called. It’s definitely a money grab. The list could go on.
