Second visit After review, I heard back from their head office. They take feedback very seriously. Glad to see they are determined for best customer experience. They were generous for offering me a gift voucher. I visited again today and tried their Cheese &Tomato pizza slice, Veggie sausage roll and black coffee. I have to say that I was impressed by the quality. The pizza slice was a thick square slice with a crispy and soft crust . The tomatoes were juicy and simply enhances the flavour in each bite. Veggie susage roll was delicious too. It was a patty filled with mushrrom, cheese and onion. I really liked the taste. Black coffee was spot on! I am glad they reached out and I visited again. This going to be my regular bakery to go. First visit: I had high expectations with this bakery but they let me down. I tried Hot chocolate, Almond crossiant and Butter Crossiant. Only hot chocolate was worth the money. Almond Crossiant had stale Almonds with stale/bitter taste. It was horrible. Butter Crossiant was not fresh. It was not soft and crispy. A let down!

oh dear this is another bad review Mr Rhodes. I went there at lunchtime today 13 Oct 2012. My friend was buying lunch to take home to friends. 4 sandwiches and four cakes. I bought a savoury Muffin. The service was, to say the least, so so and disorganised. When asking for sandwiches by name we were asked to point at them - not easy and surely not necessary if the staff know the product range. There also seemed to be a comprehension problem - of customers by the staff and fundamentally in the manner in which the service is 'organised'. When it comes to payment there is further confusion. So as to the product - i bought a savoury muffin. not good. more than half the muffin was stuck on the paper cup it was cooked in and the texture was more like a cake crumbly and not bound together at all. impossible to eat without a plate and a table for that matter. Definitely not good for take away. this should work, and in fact i wish it well but people were leaving because they were not, despite there being 4 people behind the counter, getting served swiftly enough.

Lots of lovely baked goods. They specialise in sourdough bread. Lots of rich pastries and cakes. They sell fancy sandwiches too. There's coffee, ice cream and they showcase products from local/small speciality shops- e.g. honey, chocolate etc. It's not the cheapest be warned. It is an artisan bakery after all. Prices probably aren't dissimilar to Gail's nearby, but this is an independent business and that's a chain. The staff are really nice. Young people just happy to help and usually with a smile on their faces. It's nice that the business does not just throw away their leftover products at the end of the day as they have signed up to Olio. Sometimes there's a lot of food that would go to waste due to bad weather, but they are doing their bit to prevent food being thrown away. No seating, so it's take out only.

Visited this bakery for few times the first while I was visiting Greenwich and I really like it. Staff was really nice and friendly. Tried few bread, cakes and pastries and found the sweet options better than the bread and savoury options. Their marble cake is really good and the portion size is generous, the chocolate and pistachio babka was good as well. Had the vegetable pizza and it tasted good but the dough was quite thick. For bread, I tried the tomato focaccia which was good but not similar to normal focaccia, baguette which was good, Sicilian olive sourdough which was my least favourite as I found it very dry, white sourdough which was okay but there is better ones in London and the session roll which I like the most and actually was the one that had my attention and make me enter the shop for the first time. I will go back there when I’m in Greenwich to try more options.

I was a bit disappointed. I wanted to give my money to smaller business rather than Costa and Starbucks which was a walk away. The hot chocolate was room temperature and bland. I asked for a toasted bagel and asked if they could butter it for me they said that would be fine. It’s a weird request but they did unique sandwich’s which I do not eat. Most coffee places sell paninis but this bakery did not. They put the bagel in the oven and then handed it to me to then tell me I had to butter it... I buttered it but the butter was hard so I went back and asked them to heat the bagel so the butter melted it. They put it back in the oven and then handed it back to me. I was horrified. The bagel was like bread warmed up, not toasted and not buttered. Ruined my experience and will never go back. Such a shame as you would think independent businesses would make the extra effort.

I came across this most inviting shop just after visiting the marvellous (and free!) Queens House nearby. I tried in vain beforehand to find somewhere not a chain; I'm glad I didn't give up because this place is an absolute gem. People should stop complaining about the prices of very good independent bakery shops like this one because the voluptuous big bacon, avocado and chicken (extremely) fresh roll was worth whatever I paid for it (can't remember) and then the flourless chocolate cake was heavenly. I don't know what I paid for that either. I couldn't care less; nothing astronomical Worth coming to beautiful Greenwich all the way from depressing Kilburn to find this delightful bread and cake shop on my way to Uber boat back to Westminster. And please don't become a chain and open hundreds of them. That's when the slide downhill will start.

I’ve been to this place almost every Saturday for over a year now (as a Saturday treat after a workout). Today, as part of buying my bagel, I asked if they would help me ground some whole beans I accidentally ordered. I was told no. This is okay, and it’s obviously their prerogative to say no. However, these are the small things that I like going to independent coffee shops for. (As an example, I went down to Ideal Espresso 5 mins into Greenwich market which is my other usual spot and, although they were really busy, they offered to do this for me for free). Unfortunately, this has left a bad taste in my mouth. For reference, this review is entirely about the customer service, their goods are still great (as evidenced by my routine for over a year)!

Let's start with the positives. The selection of cakes was absolutely immense. Truly delectable looking & rather inviting indeed. I had the carrot cake which was easily the best I've ever had. So why the 3 stars. Well the cafe doesn't make a strong case to welcome visitors back on 2 specific things : The price! I don't mind paying £4 for a slice of cake. But don't make it a slither please? Give the man a sizeable CAKE for that price. And the high chairs were rather wooden & uncomfortable. It's like the cafe was keeping the 'flow' of clients rather than sticker arounders. I did stick around though. Next time I'll use the takeaway option

Lately this place keep disappointing me. A week ago picked some cake that really tasted that it's way too old to be sitting on the shelf and not suitable for selling anymore. Today got a gingerbread man that tasted not fresh as well and Americano with coconut milk and normal mill was really like never before. tasted so diluted and just not worth drinking at all. Rhodes coffee it's always been one of my favourites, strong and distinguished flavour, but unfortunately not this time... I know it's hard times for everyone, but this means everyone needs to step up and do their best and not trying to sell five days old pastries...

Lovely bread and croissants. The only downside after visiting for a whole year is that the staff aren’t warm enough. There was once a lady who asked to give our review on the porridge sourdough but next day when we gave the reviews to another as she wasn’t there, the new member didn’t know how to react! They need to relax, cheer up and be friendly with customers irrespective of who it is. We buy there almost every day but treated as strangers! There has to be at least one staff member who is familiar with regular customers and appreciate that loyalty. That’s a basic rule of customer care! Keep up the good baking!

  • Graham Patterson

Excellent selection of bread and cakes. All are freshly made at the Paul Rhodes bakery and only on sale for that day. Be sure to get there early for the best selection of breads. My personal favourite is the sea salt and olive oil. They do have a lot of different types and make extensive use of spelt and rye to ensure a wide selection. Paul Rhodes also have a wide range of cakes and buns which, along with coffee, can be taken away or eat in. The only problem with eating in is the very limited number of seats. On a nice day you can go and sit in the Greenwich University grounds but if it is raining......

  • Beth Cato

The lines were long at the nearby market, but short and efficient at Paul Rhodes. Their baked goods counter offered all sorts of temptations, but we settled on trying two: a mini salted caramel tart and mini Bakewell tart. The former was like a millionaire slice, but with soft, gooey caramel. I loved the Bakewell. The frangipane and jam perfectly complemented each other. As we ate these in a nearby park, we appreciated that the pastry was sturdy and tasty, so we had no trouble eating with our hands. Based on this experience, I’d happily visit another Paul Rhodes location.

Food: delicious. Hospitality: non-existent. There is no seating at all in this cafe. I used to love enjoying my pastry and coffee in the cafe, but they removed all the seating during COVID and still haven't reinstated it - and a chat with the staff last week suggested there were no plans to add even stools at the long window-counter. So disappointing. Rather than standing in the rain to eat, we walked around the corner to Gail's instead. Paul Rhodes, your food is better than Gail's, but you're handing your business to them on a platter. Please bring back your seating.

Well where does one begin? The store gave me a 16oz cup holder yet filled my beverage to the 12oz height. When I questioned this I was met with a bone idle remark from the worker who had a gormless look on her face. The male worker did keep on asking us what we wanted, repeatedly, but I wanted to browse through the products, it seemed 'pushy' & lastly when I wanted a coffee lid to take away, the male worker acted as I had refused, making me re-ask. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Other coffee houses, patisseries & café's offer a more robust coffee served alongside normal workers.

  • Jimmy

The cake was OK, it would have been better if it was fresh. I don't know whether it was because of closing time or if the cake was from yesterday but it was a bit stale. Likely due to constantly taking it out to cut a piece leaving it dry. Hard bottom, crusty side, the cake was overly hard in general. You have to put quite a bit of force to cut it, almost compressed. The cream was thickened to a hard stick. The cake was not moist. £4 for a coffee and walnut cake slice and there isn't really tables or service, it's hard to justify to give this a rating beyond 2.

Went today to get sweets for my birthday. Ordered 3 tarts, one cupcake, one slice of carrot cake and 2 slices of flourless chocolate cake. Paid for all of this and waited. Young lady originally put cupcake in bag before I asked for it in boxes since it was for take away. Got home and they did not include the carrot cake and only one piece of the chocolate cake. Disappointing that you pay and then get robbed by the bakery. I would not recommend. No wonder they rush you out, they don’t want you to have the opportunity to verify your order. Ruined my birthday.

  • Dmitrii Malinovschii

Short: take coffee, avoid food. Details: Have got a merengue, coffee cake and wallnut tart. Merengue is a giant bulk of sugar, which is hard as a concrete. Once you bite on it, it's like licking a tough swet brick for 2.50 pounds. My hopes remained with coffee cake, which looked fine, but on taste it was definitely not the first day.it stayed on the shelf. Now imagine biting a stick of sweetened margarine on a thin sliced of bread. That is exactly what you were for 3.50 pounds. Staff and OK coffee is only thing that makes it from a total disaster.

"Paul Rhodes Bakery in Greenwich is a delightful haven for those who appreciate the art of traditional baking. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every delicious creation they offer. It's heartening to see a bakery so in tune with the needs of their community, serving both individuals and businesses with equal dedication. From the moment you step in, you can sense the passion for their craft. Whether you're seeking a quick snack or catering for an event, Paul Rhodes Bakery has got you covered. A true testament to the love of baking!"

I must say that Villages sour is one of the best sourdoughs I’ve ever had. Very aromatic. Also bought a vegan brownie which is super rich, chocolaty and fudgy. I’m definitely coming back to this bakery and I wanna try other products. But there’s one thing which I’m not quite sure; I got a half of villages sour (£3.50) and a vegan brownie (£2.50), that should be £6 in total, but when I checked my payment I realised that I payed £8.50. I apologise if I misunderstood something but I’d appreciate if you could explain what £2.50 was for.

  • Michaela Bailey

Pricey but worth it! Quality ingredients for quality savoury and sweets treats... Love the apple pie, salmon bagel, pastrami bagel (not sure they still do it though), cinnamon bun, the flourless chocolate cake. Wished they continued to do the fraisier they used to do! Edit: Thank you for your reply. Maybe you were not working there at the time they did the fraisier... I distinctly remember buying it from time to time and ordering for birthdays between 2006-2010. There is no other bakeries baking fraisiers in Greenwich town center.

  • Jesús Marruecos

Team is amazing, always very happy and polite. The place can be s bit busy, due the location of the shop, at a corner really close to cutty Sark and Greenwich park. The bread is just lovely. The olives Sicilian Baguette is amazing, great taste and perfect fluffiness. We will defer come back again to try more breads ! The other more classic bread we bought was lovely too! I give you my 5 stars for you guys! Thanks for having so many yummy bread options, it is great to have you close by. Open more shops!

Paul Rhodes welcomed our school for a trip around the bakery. It was the best school trip I have ever been on. The day was organised beautifully and all of the staff were kind, welcoming and generous. The children learnt so much and gave the baked goods a score of 100/10! Everything that we tried was absolutely delicious and we know very well that they were made with such love, care and attention. I could not recommend this bakery highly enough. From start to finish a beautiful place that makes the most delectable baked goods.

  • Felix Gan

Lots selection of pastries and breads. I was definitely confused with so many choices to choose from. I wanted something savoury and sweet and went for the vegetarian sausage roll and pain of chocolate. The size of the croissants or pain of chocolate wAs amazing! Although the pain of chocolate wasn’t warm as I have it outside but I can taste the freshness of it. I would definitely heat it in an oven if I have this at home. Overall great bakery and it’s open during this lockdown period. Covid safe for sure!

  • Luna Zheng

Paul Rhodes is one of my favourite bakeries. The bakery looks like a museum of bread and cakes with various shapes, colors, and ingredients; and they are all yummy! I also love the coffee ☕ at Paul Rhodes and always match it with the yummy foodbaked in this beautiful and stylish place. Oh, have I mentioned that the staff here are friendly and smiley ☺ ? This makes my breakfast or afternoon tea time even ❤ more wonderful!

  • Dmitry

Bread is very good, the quality is almost consistently high. The queue outside early morning is a definite sign. My favourite is British slipper but London sour is also very good. I have not been that lucky with sweet pastries though. A couple of time they were obviously from the day before. UPDATE: the quality went downhill. My favourite British slipper is often burnt and generously dusted with flour to hide that fact. It is so sad to see a good place becoming much worse.

  • Emily Robinson

Quite a designer bakery store. The staff used to be super nice and ready to assist almost every time I visited. Considering the long queue and waiting times, their food array is quite appetising. However, their pricing is quite on the higher end and doesn’t equate directly with their quality of food. Of late, their customer service has been massively deteriorating. Been a customer for years, and it’s a shame they don’t do justice in treating their customers well.

  • Jack

I’m sorry. Lovely bread - unfortunately left a sour taste more three times. I left the queue after waiting for 15 minutes. All I wanted was a loaf of bread. 2 issues: 1) Delivery drivers are prioritised and 2) lunch food prep (naturally) takes a lot of time. So people who live locally and want to be just in and out have to unfortunately wait. Suggestion: Could you maybe create a separate queue for people who just need bread and could be in and out in 2 minutes?

  • Zi M

Went for first time in a while, used to love them. I guess because of the nice weather or whatsoever but spotted bee on one of the cakes, when I pointed it to the staff member her response was “I know but there is nothing we can do about it” So you’re telling that potentially selling a coke to a customer is nothing?? Even though they might claim that we’re keeping and eye on the bee etc can’t guarantee that there is no hazard . Disappointing customer service

  • Yuu H

Great bakery and great service, so much bread! I bought slices of apple cake, banana loaf, carrot cake, and a chocolate tart for me and my family to enjoy. They were all delicious! I will definitely return for more when I'm back in the area to try more of their options, I highly recommend making a visit (I will probably get another slice of banana loaf though, it's my favourite so far!). They have great selection of products, sweet and savoury options.

  • Sabrina Maria

Simply fabulous! The carrot cake is by far the best I have ever tasted. Rich & moist, I cannot even describe how good it is. Chocolate bun - yummy. Focaccia and bread loafs - excellent. The team is great; every time I am stuck on what to choose, they help :-). Thank you for being so lovely! I live on the other side of London but am lucky to work in Greenwich occasionally. No visit is complete without stopping at Paul Rhodes.

  • Guillemot

Big sorprice it's not the same from the end 2021, but I thought was the busy season, two weeks ago the croissant wasn't the same quality, today the twist cheese straw was to skinny, like not time for rest thé dough. Even where I work in one week two mistakes, 1. didn't came the bread, 2. Bread delivered like a stone (brioche). Definitely in the company is happening something. I hope soon they find the solution.

  • Joe J

Amazing bakery products, all so tasty and decently priced. Had our breakfast there, left, only to return few hours later to get some more. Whatever you choose, you won’t go wrong. The croissant sandwiches are delicious, the brownies have a smooth velvety texture with thin slices of nuts, the bread with seeds tastes like a bread should taste. Highly recommend this. Will definitely return when we’re in the area.

  • Steve Bell

Our regular stop for breakfast and emergency coffee. The croissant and Soda Bread toasts are to die for. The seating is outward facing and on high stools allowing the great art of watching people to continue the warm. Superbly located just south of the Cutty Sark and directly next to the maritime centre and Music University. This is a highly recommended venue and worth the extra time lost watching people.

  • Owen Hawbaker

This was a nice reprieve from all the walking in greenwich. Paul Rhodes statement hung on the wall boasting a high standard. I do feel as though the pastries and coffee were a step above. The service was also polite, prompt, and attentive. I would return the next time in greenwich and would reccomend to someone looking for coffee or a light bite in greenwich however it is not a must see for me.

  • Laura Airapetjana

Had an amazing experience today even with covid out there. I think team in the shop is working so hard to please everyone. Italian guy in glasses made my day, thank you for going extra mile with you charismatic attitude. Must say, people in the que outside should chill out and not take all they negative energy inside the store. If you not happy with waiting time, bake your own bread at home!

  • Lauren Harris

Always very popular, but I’m disappointed with value for money. It was so busy that I couldn’t see the prices alongside the cakes. I was pretty surprised at the till that a small slice of Victoria sponge was £4.15! It was not worth the price, dense sponge and lumpy buttercream. Edit: The cream had a slightly cheesy taste to it so unfortunately couldn’t risk finishing it so had to be thrown.

  • tomDOODS

Outrageously good cakes and coffee. We had skinny lattes, a salted caramel chocolate tart and a hazelnut brownie. Delicious. We came back for another coffee (as they were that nice) and sampled the red velvet cake (which was being offered as a free sample). Words can't express how nice it was. The filling was like cheesecake and the sponge was moist and melted in your mouth. Tremendous!

  • Will Hamlyn

Proper fresh handmade bread that actually tastes of something, love their Olive Oil and Seasalt loaf, great to have somewhere like this in Greenwich, love their sandwiches too. Never had problem with the service, it does get busy at peak times but you can hardly blame them for that! Not sure how you could possibly compare Rhodes to Greggs or Sainsburys but each to their own!

  • Beatrice Marinoiu

Absolutely love this bakery! Everything i tried from them (and i tried a lot since i live close by) is just delicious. Their bread is amazing and their almond croissants are to die for.

I have to echo other comments that the pastries here are not fresh. They are also too expensive to be not fresh. I came twice within a few days (just in case it was bad luck!) and on both visits the pastries looked to be a couple of days old - dry, chewy and not at all flaky. Shame as I live near the bakery factory and it smells delicious! 2 stars for the lovely staff.

  • Daniela Zilinsky

While the products of this bakery are always fresh and tasty I just can't get over the super slow service. No logic what so ever. This didnt happen once or twice. There is always a wait at least 5 minutes, even there is only one person ahead of me and multiple people behind the counter. The last time I just walked off to Gail's bakery where I get serviced in seconds.

  • Lufu Design

A touch pricey but the best carrot cake I ever had. A little cute corner bakery I always thought of visiting. Glad i did. Really moist with full of carrots, creamy butter frosting, loads of dried fruits, nuts and orange peels - it was the most dreamy, delish slice of carrot cake so far. I haven't tried other options but don't mind having one or two on my next visit.

  • Sam Tarca

Lovely bakery in the heart of Greenwich. Coffee was delightful as we sat out near Cutty Sark. The sweet treats were equally good (Orange and Dark Chocolate and an almond croissant) and the prices are what you would expect to pay in London, especially a touristic area. I will probably go again, but there are many of other similar choices in the area so mix and match

  • Ayoub

A hidden gem for a post-run espresso. With its charming ambiance, friendly staff, and mouthwatering pastries, it's a good spot to recharge. The expertly crafted espresso, boasting a velvety crema and perfectly balanced flavor, is an absolute delight. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone who passes by!

I've ordered quite a few times from this bakery via Deliveroo — a really good variety of fresh bread and pastries of all sorts — Villages sourdough bread and walnut coffee cake are excellent and my favourites. When I had an issue with my order — their friendly team reached out promptly and did their best to help, which is always appreciated.

  • Lauren Pulsford

I love this bakery. Every time I go, there's something that I am excited to try. I used to have the lentil salad pots and a corn and jalapeno mini muffin, and I also tried the ginger cake recently which was amazing. My only drawback is that there is onion in most of the savoury stuff, but I appreciate a lot of people will see that as a plus!

  • Rob Lockwood

Food and coffee ok - but chaos on a Sunday lunchtime- staff unable to cope with volume of orders - missed items off our order, and toasted sandwiches that we asked them not too. Couple next to us sent back lava cake three times as not warmed through. Would do better if they slowed down a bit and made sure they got orders right first time...

  • Areej Naeem

Was having a bad craving for a carrot cake, Went to this place especially I’m sitting in the park right now with the cake and thinking what a waste of my money. The sweetest, mushiest, hard I have ever had. Carrot cake Is not supposed to be oozing sugar and so hard!!! More than the waste of money I feel bad for destroying my craving ☹️

  • Nefeli Erma Maliali

Best bakery I have been to in the UK. Excellent customer service, lovely atmosphere and lovely people! All their products are fresh and delicious (I think I have tried if not all, most of them )! If you ever visit Cutty Sark in Greenwich you should pop in Paul Rhodes for a bread or a sweet/savoury treat and definitely a coffee!! …

  • Carly A

Bought a number of items from the store this week and feel that the bakery is overhyped for what they produce. Bread and pasties were dry, the stilton and onion bread was under baked (bread was still doughy and not due to leeching from the fillings) and the donuts contained hardly any filling. All in all very disappointing

  • Ann Evans

Very disappointing. The apple and cinnamon doughnut I wanted wasn't available so the girl serving suggested the apple and cinnamon cake. Big mistake......as dry as anything and tasteless. The chai latte I had was also the worst I've ever had...far too sweet. The counter where I sat was unclean too. Won't be visiting again.

  • damon flanagan

Most of their baking is of a mediocre to good quality. However their tarts are terrible. The pastry is under cooked, too thick and soggy. This would only be worthy of the bin in a bakery of our continental friends. Sad that British have to put up with such terrible tart cases in what is portrayed as a high end bakery.

  • Emily Anne

Has become my favourite cafe in Greenwich by far. Aside from the delicious coffee, sandwiches, pastries & other tasty baked goods it is the amazing service that keeps me coming back. Always very friendly and welcoming- and you never wait long for a coffee. The only thing I would say is the coffee could be hotter.

  • Baffour Atuah

Ordered from them via Deliveroo and most of the food was fine but I was sent a burnt brioche loaf. I'm not picky and if it was just on the brown side I probably wouldn't have minded, but you can see from the photo how black it was. The crust was also quite hard. Not sure how no one questioned serving this.

  • Max M

Amazing pastries! Can you guys add some sauce options that contains no dairy for lactose intolerant eaters. (Like no dairy sauce for the lovely Chicken bacon avocado sandwich) Thank you!!!

Great pastry and cakes for my baby niece which she loved. I couldn't get enough of the blueberry muffins and just bought a bag home with me. Coffee was top quality and service of staff this afternoon was kind-hearted. Really a cool place. Sunday is the best day as ticket Warden are not around much.

  • Emanuel Berglund

It's hard to give this small bakery credit unless you've seen all the bread they provide for delivery, lucky for me they are the elected supplier of bread for where I work and there wide array of bread that they supply. They also have great coffee that you can buy by the bag in their shop.

  • Alister Sluiter

Style over substance. I had an Almond Croissant and Chocolate and Orange Morning Bun. Both looked spectacular but were disappointingly stale. The croissant severely lacked filling and was dry as a result. The morning bun’s sticky filling tasted delicious but the pastry was tough.

Great selection of delicious and well baked goods and very good coffee. I enjoyed the short hour I spent there working and enjoyed the spelt croissant and the nice cup of coffee. The place is on a somewhat busy street but it’s quite cozy and has a relaxing atmosphere.

  • Edie

Best bakery in Greenwich and far better than the big chains. Staff friendly & service fast for coffee etc. Plus opens early at 7am! Exciting selection of sweet & savoury pastries, and lots of different bread including seasonal. My favourite has to be the Sage Emmer.

  • Hitesh Pankhania

Very good quality bakery products to take away as there is no seating to eat or drink. There is only one paul rhodes bakery, which is a shame as I am unlikely to return to Greenwich and I don't live in London. Loses one star for not being able to eat inside.

  • Bledi Jahjaga

Quality coffee and all breads. Always get the feeling the team there are in a hurry to finish though, regardless of the time of day or day of week. 1 in 3 chance they’ll get your coffee order wrong.

Variety choices of cakes and bread. Lovely lemon loaf cake has the right sweetness and lemon flavour, salted caramel chocolate tart is rich and creamy. Not a big fan of ginger loaf as it has a strong ginger flavour that definitely for ginger lovers.

  • Mike Rouse-Deane

Definitely a gem found out of nowhere. After asking around nobody could advise of a bakery nearby..so as we wandered we came across this little beauty. Tons of home made and delicious home made foods. Could have bought tons more if it

  • Katia Raza

Nice looking place but not as good as I expected taste-wise. Bought a pistachio babka, which was ok, and an almond croissant, which was huge but completely dry and tasteless and perhaps a bit stale? Plenty of better places in the area.

  • Costa

A must-visit if you're going to Greenwich market; charming array of breads, cakes, pastries and biscuits, plus great coffee. The staff were also very friendly. Their sandwich biscuits were the standout for me, and come in a cute box.

  • Emma Kennedy

Lovely, friendly staff, good coffee and baked goods - including lots of mini options. Quite a small room so might not be the best for pushchairs/prams but on a sunny day you can take a coffee and cake to the park round the corner!

  • Chris Ayo

Nice place for a quick cuppa, a lot of different treats are also available unfortunately I wasn't able to try the victors sponge cake which was calling out for me, they also do hot sandwiches. Very nice in the heart of Greenwich.

  • Ruby Tuesday

Great coffee and fresh bread plus some good vegan options. Really handy for picking up a snack if you’re exploring Greenwich- good idea to grab a loaf to take home too. Really good quality products. The cakes are lovely too.

I hope their baking isn't as bad as their driving. Nearly got run off the road at m25 jct6 roundabout by one of their vans then he proceeded to speed away at speeds up to 100mph, not even slowing for speed cameras. Madness.

Amazing bakery. A great variety of products and good price. So many types of breads, the cinnamon rolls in different flavours. Their croissant size is enormous. But my favourite it is the tomato focaccia. Just perfect

  • Tania Notte

It is the best bakery in London. I have tried almost everything in the Greenwich branch and it tastes delicious. The team is efficient, kind, nice and helpful. It is one of my favourite place in the area! Just great!

  • Dirk Trossen

Best coffee in town, amazing lunch and pastries and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately there is not much seating but it's easy to grab something and enjoy it in the nearby college gardens or near Cutty Sark.

  • Ben Slater

We popped in here to grab a drink and cake - place rejigged for COVID, but functioned ok with a one (family) in one out, & queue outside. Staff was friendly and food and coffee was tasty. Would recommend a visit :)

  • Talha Fazlani

Now this is what I'm talking about. Firm round breads, the creamiest cakes and tarts you want to eat over and over, and over again! Their staff is also very friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

  • Adriaan Rems

Lovely bakery with authentic products, perfect for a Sunday morning breakfast (albeit quite pricey)! If I had any feedback I would like to see more bread buns as the loaves are quite large for 2 people to eat.

  • Catherine Tsang

Great bakery. The meringues are some of the best and the "world's best brownies" are seriously good. They are massive, just gooey enough, and actually cheaper than any other brownie you can find in Greenwich.

  • Alastair Swaine

When giving me a trial shift they complained about my hygiene when there was clearly nothing wrong with it! Ajjy and Dean said I had a strong body odour when I had showered and put on deodorant before going.

  • Bea D.

Incredible sandwiches and cakes. On recommendation from a friend I got the chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich - it was amazing! The lemon morning bun was so tasty too, like lemon drizzle cake but pastry!

  • Anna Waldeck-Evans

Lovely cafe in Greenwich. Fantastic baked cakes, croissants and bread and they make a delicious hot chocolate. Plus they use vegware 100% compostable cups so they are doing their bit for our planet. Bravo

  • Attila Bartha

A cute bakery very close to Greenwich park. They have bagels and sandwiches as well as super tasty bread and also some lunch options, usually soup and stew. Definitely worth a try for something sweet too.

  • Pavlina Tancheva

Ate my first bagel there but it was deliciouusss, staff is very friendly and helpful as well. They let you choose what you want in peace and help if u need help. 11/10 Loved it. Would love to go again.

This place always seems to have big queues. Stuff looks good so we gave it a try but everything we had (two croissants and a bun) was stale and this was on a busy Saturday morning. Very disappointing.

  • Izabela Maria

Excellent coffee, very good pastries and big choose of breads. Service sometimes is slow but end of the they they have only time coffee machine and two hands :) My favourite place for morning coffee!

  • Alexander Lockwood (Gwyned)

Amazing staff and lovely products from cakes to breads and that coffee ... its just one of two best coffees in Greenwich !! Highly recomment lemon tarts, salted carmel and cakes and breads ! …

  • Harry West

Very disappointing! Ordered 2x Croissants at 10am on a Saturday they were incredibly stale, no chance they were baked fresh this morning! Lemon morning bun was fantastic, but I won’t be returning

  • Nikolay Arabadzhiev

best coffee, always consistent and I know a lot about good coffee. Cakes, breads and sandwiches are always fresh and delish. Staff are very friendly. always make my way to Rhodes when I'm near by

  • Francois Cournil

Sunday morning, 9am, the pain au chocolat is hard, stale and doesn't taste fresh. It cannot have been baked today. I tried another one, but they were all from the same batch. Very disappointing!

  • John Smith

A hidden gem of a bakery on the outskirts of Greenwich Park. Delicious almond croissants and brownies while the carrot cake slice could please a crowd. Outstanding selection of fine honey. More

  • Zaen J

Lovely coffee, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I had mine with Almond milk just to try something a bit different. Didn’t try any of their breads or cakes but they also looked excellent

  • Mr Bright

I like the look of your chocolate cake , but what I dont like is the card only payment. You aint exactly a massive company so why do you only take card? You aint mates with Epstein are ya?

  • Steven Wilson

Great location. Very friendly. Wonderful range. The olive sourdough was stupendous. Sorry that I am only occasionally in Greenwich to be able to sample more of their delicious products!

  • io efthymiadou

1 star.9 pounds for a croissant and very tiny milk?seriously.i prefer greggs but had a que. Anyways no wonder your shop is empty with those awful prices.they even charged me more smh!

  • Mohammed Ali

The ladies in this bakery shop are amazing, cupuccino and cinnamon swirls was really nice, shop was nice and clean..have to mention about the manager she was very friendly and helpful..

  • Antoine Bouvet

Nice little place, I had been walking around for afternoon in search for the perfect chocolate brownie. You know the one that is still a bit moist and not too heavy at the same time.

  • Mike C

I really like this bakery. The food including bread and cakes are delicious and reasonably priced. I also find the staff really friendly and add to the experience of shopping here..

  • Ben H

Good selection of cakes and drinks. Nice change to the usual Costa, Starbucks, etc. Reasonable prices; expect to pay about £2.50 for a drink and £3 for a decent sized slice of cake.

  • Wen Jin

I love this bakery. Simple but tasty lunch choices. They give away sourdough starter for free. I’ve been making consistently good bread using the starter and the flour they sell!

  • Tiago Fonseca

Delicious pastries and cakes, good coffee and good light lunch options. Very good bread too. The only downside is the lack of sitting space. Should swap places with boring Costa.
