I very much like being able to find a book anywhere in the San Jose system and have it delivered to the Pearl branch which I can bicycle to. The SJPL has a very broad range of books and the collection is reasonably current. I have have been able to easily find not only histories, novels, etc. but some surprisingly current and technical works in my field. I am a mathematician and actuary. The people at the Pearl Branch are very friendly and helpful.

Plenty of individual tables scattered around if you want to use a laptop - with two power outlets on each. Internet connection of roughly 60 Mbps both up & down. Plenty of comfy chairs if you're just reading. There are also quite a few PCs scattered around, should you need one. Separate room for teens (though no door!). Quiet rooms for both individual and group study. Nice environment, fairly quiet.

I often come to this library to find a peaceful place to study, and it never disappoints. The service here is excellent – the librarians maintain a tranquil environment perfect for focused learning. The quality of the study spaces, from the comfortable chairs to the ample desk space, is top-notch. Considering it's all free of charge, the value this library provides is unmatched.

Great place for working and the staff is very helpful. For a small place it is fairly quiet. I gave it 4 stars because I was charged $9 for a 16GB flash drive. I forgot mine & was desperate. The lady had no idea how much to charge & charged me the highest price.

This was my childhood branch and even though it's been completely remodeled, it's still one of my favorite libraries. Good selection of new books and children's materials. The building is clean and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.

Everybody here is very friendly and the area is very quiet. Great for working or reading. It's slightly small, but that's not really a problem for me.

Great little place to read the paper or surf the web. Activities for kids. Just a local library so limited re research capabilities or book selection.

Review is for book sale - they had good collection of books in the sale for everyone, we bought like 20 books for my son (2 years old) for real cheap

Great local library branch. I usually order books online and pick them up when the library notifies me they're available.
