You guys hire really awesome staff who clearly love animals. I wish the turnover rate wasn't so high because we enjoy getting to know your team (and they get to know our dog), and then we really miss them when they inevitably leave (I am sure the managers do too). I hope pet-valu as a corporation is treating their team well so they can continue to hold onto the good ones. Please know this is so important to consumers. Otherwise - I LOVE that you guys give little treat bags to the dogs, even in covid times. Thank you for this. Pre-covid my dog loved coming here. She loved the attention from your team, which is the main reason we return. I really dislike the push for the Perfomatrin brand. It can be devastating when your beloved pet has complex food sensitivities and the staff can't recommend what would be helpful for your animal due to the Performatrin Push. We buy our food elsewhere because of this. It would be nice if the staff received the education and approval to recommend food suited for the particular animal's needs. We come here for treats, toys, and the occasional bath, and go elsewhere for our bigger food and supplement purchases. This is a corporate "Pet Valu" issue, and NOT the staffs fault. The staff really are the reason we return.

My husband went here today to purchase a few items which we have in the past. He tried calling numerous times- unsuccessful. So he went to the door to only be greeted by not a friendly smile but a unkind one. The staff was very short including the manager, inconsiderate and non apologetic but terse instead. When asked what his name or pick up number was he said he hadn't been able to place an order yet. He was told he needed to call instead. When he announced that he had been trying to call with no response he was presented with a short "what do you want"? attitude and a "We've been having a day" answer. What business says that to their customers? Having worked in customer service for over 30 years, I have seen everything. But never do you ever treat your paying customers with such disrespect! This is not the first time this establishment has been unpleasant. We all have a day, I get it however you are still running a business that will only thrive on returning paying customers. Which we are not.

This store doesn't offer access to a washroom.. got told to go across the parking lot to a Starbucks Coffee shop... I was there with a new 8 week old puppy less than a pound.. I stopped there on my way back from picking up this puppy as I was looking for feeding bottles... Since you CAN'T bring a pet in a store that serves food, how can you go into a store that doesn't allow animals to use the bathroom when you have a dog that is less than a pound? Leave the puppy outside in the snow In this record breaking cold...? This really gets me mad if anyone leaves an adult dog in a car during a summer evening with the AC on that's animal cruelty according to stores like this but if you need to go to the bathroom while shopping there you should leave a new born puppy in a snow bank because they only allow their staff to use the bathroom...

The staff are friendly and enjoy the cat they have strolling around. However don't expect the groomers to be able to handle a cat's nails. It's a little out of their job description, or so they told me. After they first agreed to it, I received a call about 10 minutes later.... "He didn't like it and was aggressive with me." "Yes," I replied, "Which is why I brought him here to professionals." Decently priced cat trees and food. But to each their own experience I suppose.

New and clean location. Friendly service. One complaint I've got is that they desperately try to push their own in-store food brand. Everytime I ask for advice or a specific product they always direct me to that brand. I feel like selling their own brand (which ironically my cat won't even touch!) is more important to them rather than giving an honest and helpful advise.

The staff are always super friendly and helpful. During normal times, we would take our dog with us as he loves the attention, but don’t want him confused about not being allowed in the store with everything going on. After getting home we found a surprise bag in our order. Such a kind gesture and much appreciated!

This is a great pet store.. Friendly staff... Amazing selection of food and animal treats and equipment. There is even a walkin dog washing and cleaning station. It was fun to watch to dogs get blown dry. Nice selection of cats to see throughout the store. Every thing that you need for your fur baby is here.

What can i say about Pet Valu?? Well, the stores are all well appointed and have Store Cats that live there and are very laid back and friendly. So are the rest of the staff :-) The Dog washing stations are awesome....basically, your pet will love it there, and you will too

I love going to this Pet Value location as well as the Kingston Centre location. Both have nice staff and are always clean. I think Pet Value carries the best products as well. On top of that, they often host fundraisers for local animal organizations.

We used the dog bath today for the 1st time. WOW! Jessie loved her warm bath and all the choices of shampoos! Plus the towels and blow dryer and a little treat and spritz of perfume/cologne all for only $10!Jessie will be back!

They never have the same stock. This makes buying the same bag of common food really hard to buy on a regular basis. It is to the point where I cannot buy food from this location. Disorganized and our pets suffer for it.

The store is great, it’s clean and for the most part great staff. The grooming is not very good, the dog came back patchy with bald spots and a poor overall cut. The kids even ugly shamed the dog based on the cut.

I was taking my ill dog there at least once a week for a bath because she could get into the tub easily, no clean-up (for me!) and only $10. It was truly a Godsend that this location came in with self-bathing.

I went in needing advice for a new food for my elderly cat and the staff were so wonderfully polite and helpful with advice. It was so very nice and I really appreciate it.

Quite a lot of options for both dogs and cats. I heard old man cassista grumbling that they didn’t have his bird food, other than that it’s a quality store.
