The WORST experience ever!!! I’ve never left bad reviews for anybody. Each time I gave Petco another chance, but this is too much! The service they provide is terrible. The staff is very impolite and unprofessional, constant calls and no solutions to problems. I had a membership. I did vaccinations for my puppy in Vetco, grooming. But every time it was with problems. Every time you schedule an apoitment online, they call 5 hours before it and say either reschedule the apoitment or cancel because they are AFRAID that they won't have enough time for my dog’s appointment. (??) Why do you actually let me schedule one then? Plus she said i’m new cx and it’s gonna be my first time and we have to check all puppy’s vaccination. Those vaccines that I did in Vetco ‍♀️ When I said I wanted to cancel my membership, the woman on the phone was saying about all the benefits for me for like 10pm, that I would save $100 a year if I stayed with them. When I said that I definitely don’t want to work with them ever again, she said that she could cancel my subscription only after 9 months, she needs to start the process. (??) Now I will pay 9 months more for it. I will never return to this company again! And I will never recommend them to anyone. It's better to pay more than deal with this business!!

I’m very dissatisfied with the online-order-pickup-in-store option. I placed an order for an xxl EveryYay Going Places 2-Door Folding Dog Crate and an EveryYay Grey Cool Orthopedic Dog Crate Mat online as there was a sale for ordering online. After 3 hours of waiting for an update on my order, I called the store and they said they hadn’t even received the order. I called customer service and they stated that there was a problem with “the system” and canceled the order… and they told me to reorder… an hour before store closing. I reordered as I needed these items and the store finally updated and notified me that they had received my order but only the mat had arrived; so I decided to pick it up the following day. I picked up the mat and when I checked my online account, the order for the crate was cancelled without my doing. Rather than experience this frustration all over again, I looked on FaceBook Marketplace and got an xxl crate WITHIN 20 minutes for a quarter of the price. I will never recommend Petco’s online pick-up option to anyone. (I would like to mention that the Jacksonville store clerks were very kind and helpful. My main issue is my experience with petco’s online platform and call service).

I waited and waited for Petco to call me to come pick him up, then after almost 3 hours a phone message from BLUE Pearl Veterinary Emergency Hospital saying they have Oreo in the E.R. bleeding. Afterwards Petco called to tell me about the accident. My point is, why did Petco not tell me about the incident first? My knees got so weak, and in tears. What would you do? Yes, they (Petco) paid for all the vet's fees! The groomer never apologized for what she did. Another employee told me accidents happen and he shrugged. Just like it is not a big deal!!! That is my baby they accidently nipped his eyelids very close to his eye. ☹️ I feel like we are violated!!! After those hours they did not give my Boy Oreo a bath nor clean him up!!! ☹️ I am never going back to this store either to shop or grooming!!!❌️❌️❌️

Everytime I go here it’s a bad experience. I go because of the location convenience. For the second time, I searched the Petco site, it said something was in stock here, they accepted my payment, placed the order and it wasn’t actually in stock. I get some systems lag but they’re always take hours to update saying they don’t have the item. I also called ahead of time and they said just let us know when you’re here, we got your order. Like maybe check since I’m calling ahead of time because we don’t live close. We drove to this location specifically for these items both times. Annoyed. They’re also overpriced and the customer service is generally short and snippy. PetSmart is a much better choice and after this recent event I’ll just make the drive farther to go there.

I don't usually post reviews but some things are worth sharing. The worst thing a store manager can do is defend an associate who's clearly wrong. Giving incorrect information and pricing, being dismissive, and displaying an unpleasant attitude should be corrected, not supported. To the stylist: First of all, you weren't the one who serviced my dog so if you don't know, don't give an answer, ask your colleague. How are you in customer service and around pets if you don't even know how to smile? If you're not feeling well physically or emotionally, don't come in. If you really have to, make sure you don't bring your personal issues with you. Professionalism 101. Is being a pet stylist really for you? You don't look happy at all.

I schedule a appointment for grooming two weeks ago. The past week they keep messaging me to confirm witch I did. They told me at least 5 times that if a cancellation occurs to give them a 24 hour notice. Here I’am waking up to get my dog ready and I’m receiving a message from Petco approx 2 hours before the appointment they cancel it because the groomer is sick now I understand things happens but why don’t you redirect me to a different groomer maybe. I had plans and my dog need Grooming today. This is ridiculous I will never book with Petco again. And the one in Yulee also sucks that groomer give me dog ptsd so non of their location reliable or convenient. Just go to Paradise on airport they are doing a great job Everytime.

This company is a joke. This is the 3rd times they are canceling my appointment. Not to long ago I had an appointment and apparently my dog was due for shots.(shots that she already had) smh .. I paid the vet bill 300 then I reschedule the grooming appointment and they just cancel it. They send me the email with the cancellation and told me to call them to reschedule, well I called about 4x times within 3 hours and nobody is picking up. It’s ridiculous. I will never book with them. How you gonna take my money for the vet but can’t groom my dog.. I’m so frustrated with this place and the whole company. Because all their stores sucks

Walked into Petco with our two kids and rottweiler puppy to get food and a new harness. While struggling to figure out what size harness I needed, a male employee immediately stepped over to help me keep control of our puppy while I tried on harnesses and finally found the right fit. Finally got it on him and moved onto food and a lovely woman named Laurie helped us find the food we were looking for and was super patient as my two year old decided to lead her over to look at the fish. Even the guy at check out was super nice. Overall, best experience I've had in a pet store in a long time.

After being at the vet there in store (which was a good experience) and getting some shots, we were shopping in the store. An employee came up to us and startled my dog and she barked at him. She was backing away and not being aggressive. She barked at another employee in the checkout line. As we left I was told I could not bring her into the store anymore because of her aggressive behavior. I returned everything I bought and will not be shopping there anymore. There are too many other good pet stores for this kind of treatment. She’s a one year old lab and is not an aggressive dog.

Everyone knows that petco and petsmart arent known for taking care of their bettas. However, when I went in today I saw a betta in awful condition (fin rot and gulping at the surface for air in the thick cloudy water) a worker told me i might be able to get a discount for him because we both agreed, he looked to be on his last leg, i just needed to verify with thr manager first. I went over to the manager joe and showed him the fish and pretty much told me i didnt know what i was talking about that that the fish was in perfect health. Does this look like a healthy fish to you?

I informed the cashier the ferrets were desperately scratching and going crazy for water. Alexandra comes by and said they do that. She only gives them water in the morning because they make a mess. I told her I have never heard of that. She responded in a nasty attitude and tone like she wanted to fight. She said like what, like what? I called corporate immediately. I have cats that make a mess with water so does that mean I don't give but a few licks of water in the morning? Very unprofessional Alexandra! Do your job and provide water to the animals before they get sick.

Highly don't recommend coming to this store we purchased a bearded dragon from this location and we had a great set up we purchased all of our items from xtreme exotics so we where good but then thus dragon refused to eat we tried every different food item and live and it still didn't want to do anything to stay alive and died we took it back to xtreme exotics to look at for us and it was to young and probably I'll fed before we received it and probably sick morale of the story be cautious when purchasing a lizard from them in my personal opinion

After having an issue at another Petco location with my overly playful Pomeranian, this location groomed him with no issues. Their only comment about previous locations issue (he wanted to play with the brush...which the inexperienced groomer called biting) was that he's a Pomeranian and it's not unusual. They groomed him just as I asked and said he was no problem at all. Even though this store is not as convenient as previous, it will be my go to store for supplies and service. Experience means a lot in the grooming business and it showed here.

First time in a Petco! Stopped in with sister to get cat supplies and for me to browse doggie treats. Was surprised at how large the store was and all they offered. Large variety of critters..hamsters, ferrets, birds and bearded dragons! They even had fish ranging from fresh to salt water and coral reef. Store was very clean and staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Vet in store and grooming area. Also they offer dog training. Will definitely travel the few miles out of my way to visit again!

Hire people who actually know how to take care of fish and fish tanks. Someone left a step stool out, one step up and a peak at the top of the tank and what I saw were a bunch of dead goldfish. Not to mention one fish had an advance case of ick and white pustules all over it (goodbye tankmates for sure)...Just overall not impressed of the quality of care for the fish. Every other animal seemed content and happy.

This is my favorite Petco location by far. They have great sales and routinely offer specials. The manager, Lance, is the best; knowledge, helpful, and will get you what you need. There is a beginning saltwater fish section and routinely have unbelievable sales on reef salt. Wide variety of multi pet products. Have not used the groomer but I see a lot of poodles and harder to groom dogs going in and out.

Ronnie in the fish department was awesome. We had a bunch of questions about starting up a saltwater tank and he knew all the answers. Most pet stores don’t really have employees who have positive inputs on things or even very much helpful, but he was beyond helpful! We talked for awhile and he gave us the best advice. You could tell he really enjoys his job. Likely to return due to his positive impact.

Really terrible customer service, they told me I can’t cancel my membership. And that it would take a almost a year just to cancel . Plus they have dead fish everywhere, and the veterinarian and the groomers are really unprofessional and rude towards customers. And they are really bad at their profession , I don’t know who hired them . If I could leave a 0 star review I would.

We got some Betta Water for my niece's fish and I got my fuzzy friend his Hills canned food with rice and vegetables mixed into it. As he gets older I give him more soft and less crunchy food for his sensitive stomach. Our cashier was super friendly and great with the adults and kids in our party. Thank you! I will have to return for more pet stuff!

You can't book nail trimming appointments online anymore. I've called the store 3 times an no one answers. I even contacted Petco customer service and they said they'd reach out to the store and I'd get a call back for sure. It's been a week, and still no call. I'm paying $30+ a month for literally nothing because I can't get an appointment.

Petco has products for the care and maintenance of a wide variety of conventional and non conventional pets. A good balance of high-priced and economically branded items that has so far allowed me to one stop shop when I need items for Cane Corso, Melanistic Bengal Cat, and 90 gallon Amazon River biotope naturally planted fish tank.

After they remodeled and added the vet office, this store has been less inviting. I'm a cat owner, and it feels like the cat area was impacted the most. Aisles are barely wide enough for one person to walk down, and the selection seems to have decreased. Meanwhile, the dog section is about 80% of the store and has plenty of room.

Needed a tick remover so we called on phone, clerk went to look to see if any were available, at first sight wasn't so she did some digging in the back of the shelf and found one, the last one. She reserved it for me and had waiting for me at check out when I arrived. She was kind, friendly and considerate. Resourceful.

It was time to upgrade my fish tank, great price for a 55 gallon (68$). Curb side pick up and the young man that help me put it in my little Fiesta was the bomb diggity. Even when I called the store concerning my order were awesome. Thank you for the affordability and the customer service experience. Great job guys!!

The dog wash was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The shampoo and conditioner labels were faded and hard to distinguish between the 4 different bottles. The blow dryer was very powerful, but a little too much for our small dog - a diffuser would've been a nice addition. We will be back! Thank you!

Worst experience for salt water fish. I requested the manager to test water for quality since they dont guarantee their fish and he stated I was requesting too much and didnt feel comfortable. but they feel comfortable selling a potentially unhealthy fish for $100 bucks but I am an optional cistomer

They was very helpful getting the size of harnesses and leashes for my two dogs. Was very helpful picking out food for my new dog. It's always clean and smells good. Staff is very very concerned for their pets. The staff always ask like your pet belongs to them. I always like going there.

The banfield here is fantastic, but this review is for the Petco it's attached to. The cashier was fantastic and helpful when it came to prompt service and answering any questions I had about the bird seed and feeder I was purchasing. 10/10 on the knowledge and friendliness.

It was great here, honestly I appreciate the grooming services as much as I do their prices. Though there was a slight mess up with my dog, they apologized and paid for their mistakes. Which I appreciate more than anything. Will definitely come back when she grows fur out.

We walked into petco and there were dead fish on the floor, a tank full of dead fish, a tank full of white skirt tetras with ich, and a severely ill conure. Not to mention no workers to be see and it seems like no one has been taking care of the animals there for days.

Petco is the only store I’ve found to have both varieties of the Tidy Cat Breeze pellets. The enhanced one which I was wanting to try is what I came for. This store is very orderly I have noticed and not difficult to find help from associates.

Not a bad store but only had 1 employee who seemed to be doing any work.. and she was in the register. Shelves need stocked badly and after waiting and trying to get assistance ended up bagging my own fish so that I could check out and leave.

This petco has cancelled my dogs grooming appt twice due to weather and refuses to get him in on the only day that I can have him dropped off. So I waited 6 weeks for an appt just to have to schedule another appt. DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE.

The first time I ever took my precious to be groomed by someone other than the doctor's office. They did an awesome job they were so wonderful and loving to her I will never take her anywhere else to be groomed. She looks so wonderful.
