I went to this store this morning to get prices on a hamster, cage, food, wood chips, treats, water bottle and everything that I needed to buy my grandson as he has been asking for one for some time. I was told that if I pay cash that I would get a nice discount, the price of the accessories after the dis count was R1000. 00 and I was happy with the discount of +_ R150. 00 but my grandchild wanted to go and look at another pet shop so off we went. He found a cage that he liked also a double story with the tube and it was R300.00 cheaper and had a water bottle so we bought it for him. I told him that we would go back to pets and aquarium to buy the hamster the food and all the other accessories. When my wife got there and put all the things that we needed on the counter and wanted to pay she was asked do we have something to put the hamster in, my grandchild said yes he has a cage and came to the car to collect it as I stayed at the car to have a smoke. Can you believe this when he took the cage in my wife was asked how much she payed for it, witch she replied R350. 00 she was then told that the hamster was only sold in a kit due to the shortage of hamsters, whan she told me this I went to go and speak to the people inside the pet shop and said to them that nobody told me or my wife that the hamsters was sold as a kit and there was no sign in the shop that indecated that and asked the person behind the counter to sell me my goods witch he refused. My grandson was very upset but we left. Thanks to Northern pet's in Springfield who accommodated us with all that we needed and my grandchild is now happy.

This shop knows nothing about hamsters and rodents! Kept in horrible conditions and, when someone tries to give advice, the attitude is "please go if you're not going to buy anything". It's all about money and little about the life of the animal. Please don't support or take any advice from this place about rodents until they show an effort of learning more!

Was looking for a birthday present for my son and came across this quaint shop in malvern. Looks can be deceiving as inside it is well stocked with pets and supplies. The staff was so helpful. He showed me all the different options set up the cage and answered my million questions. Defiantly going to be my stop now for all pet supplies.

What warmed my heart about this pet shop is seeing a fishtank with a sign saying "Not for Sale, fish being treated" something you dont see in chain pet shops. Ended up buying my hooded baby rat from there and a whole bunch of other stuff. Will definitely support again.

In my opinion staff is friendly, yes but some of the poor fish are kept in small tiny jars in dirty water that is not cleaned. My daughter bought 2 Chinese fighting fish from Pets and Aquarium 4 days ago. They ended up having ammonia

Try support local they say!!Not friendly on few occasions now.Get lied to and attitude is go somewhere else if you don't like it..I'll Rather drive a bit further for cheaper prices aswell...

I have always rnjoyed going to this dpecific petshop. Always hot what I wanted and worth every penny I spend there. Customer Service is awesome, and always ready to help. GREAT SERVICE!

Wow. What a place for quality fish, aquarium supplies, salt water and fresh. They also have a great selection of reptiles and all the supplies to match.

in my opinion this pet shop is cruel, the animals have no space to ran around they a kept in tiny cages for half their life this is animal cruelty

Well knowledgeable and friendly staff and they have decent prices. Fish are healthy and we have not had any problems with them dying yet
