Groom room: When I returned 2 members of staff were having a chat about bridesmaid dresses and neither acknowledged me, someone came from the back and spoke to me. Reese (cocker spanial) usually a happy, bouncy pup was trembling in a crate and wouldn't even come out to the sound of my voice, when I entered the back and she saw me she crept out slowly only to be stopped by a member of staff trying to replace her collar; Reese went back to her original position trembling in the back corner of the crate, I coaxed her out and gave her lots of cuddles paid and left thinking maybe it was just me leaving her there and feeling incredibly guilty at a still trembling pup. After getting her home I noticed the tags behind her ears still there, so called the groom room to notify them due to this being mentioned upon dropping her off and been written on her form and paid for but not taken care of, however due to her now being calm I didn't want to take her back so I would cut them off myself, i had to leave a message and no-one got back to me. When going to cut the tags away a day later as I'd done previously with ease Reese became skittish and squirmed to get away; due to never having had this response from her before I left it and put it down to being too soon. One week later I went to apply her flea treatment as done every month to the back of her neck, she's squirmed and became skittish trying to get to her crate (her safe place) I'm horrified that a short visit to the groom room has changed the behaviour and mannerism of such a previously happy, kind, cuddly pup and hate to think how they restrained or frightened her so much I will not be returning and do not recommend to anyone who has a pup with such a loving, kind, fun nature, or anyone at all for that matter after such a bad all round experience

Decent store. Has most products and can order items to be delivered to the store if they don't have them. Usually, they have rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, and occasionally gerbils as well as fish to buy. And they do sometimes have a few adoptable pets (usually rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters) that need to be rehomed. Please research what animal you want to buy or adopt before hand and please DONT buy a cage or tank that's recommended by the store without knowing what size is best and appropriate for that specific animals needs and well being. Many cages are way way too small!!! Access in wheelchair is acceptable but can be a little cramped if busy (narrow-ish walkways) make it hard to get by other people. Shopping trollies have been banned in the store, but the huge sign that is used to inform people is both in the way for the disabled and often ignored by other shoppers who still take trollies in. Carpark big with plenty of disabled and parent and children bays but be warned it can be full at busy times. Expect a decent wait at the tills when busy because this store is often very understaffed, and the employees are usually having to deal with multiple customers at once.

Very disappointed today, went to Beaumont leys Pets at home to buy a rabbit, cage and lots of accessories.. My 11 year old son saved all is pocket money for over 6 months for this day.. We arrived at 3pm today (Sunday), my son picked his rabbit, cage and bits but wanted to go tesco to get her some fresh veg so we arrived back at Pets at home at 3.35pm to collect his rabbit... we waited for over 15 minutes to get served then to be told he couldn't have his rabbit because they didn't have time to fill in forms because they were closing..I was not told i needed to fill in forms and the forms would take time when i said we were just going Tesco if i was told this we would have brought the rabbit there and then.. I have a very upset son with a empty cage, lots of food and toys but no rabbit.. Staff at Beaumont leys you are very cruel with what you did to my son!!.. you don't deserve the one star either..

After Santa bought my youngest a very large rat cage for Xmas, it fell upon mum and dad to find to little boy rats. After much driving we found just what we wanted at Pets At Home, Beaumont Leys. There we also discovered Kaela, who was more than just an employee. Her enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge from the word go was second to none. She advised us what we needed, how to to care for the boys (rats) and what to expect from them. I have spent less time with car salesmen picking up new cars than I did with Kaela. She is a start employee and credit to your organisation. Thank you so much for all your help...

Visit last Saturday wasn't great...customers with chairs trolleys etc being told not to enter when i was heading in to store which obviously upsetting for them . I wondered if the manager had agreed or if this was an over confident staff member throwing their weight around... A male staff member on the till was badgering customers while they paid for goods to make a donation to charity which was uncomfortable for many forced to explain why they couldn't afford it. It's an expense shop but have wide variety of good items but the staff are pretty poor in customers service skill.

After waiting for quite some time for a member of staff who then served another customer who had not been waiting as long, my husband and children were told rather rudely that there was not enough time left to buy the fish that they wanted. This was at 6.31pm and they had been waiting around to be served, my husband had politely allowed the other customer to be served first and at no time had anyone explained to them that the fish would need to be purchased by 6.30pm. The member of staff was surly and rude and both of my children were very upset. Appalling service.

Very slow service. They had one person on till and that's it. If you need fish you have to wait in the line cause there's no one around to help. We waited in line for 15 mins and then when we got to the till with a tank they said it was too small. We would've known this if someone was around to help. When we asked the girl on till to show us a tank she recommended, she got stopped by another customer and went off to help that customer. We waited for like 10 mins and then left cause she didn't come back. Just really poor service and slow workers.

Animals are in tiny cages with no room to move around. Most of the animals look malnourished. Some of the staff are so rude it's unbelievable. The vets in the store are not much better I made the mistake of taking my degus here for a appointment and was told by the vet that degus are exotic and shouldn't be kept as pets, but they sell degu food, sand, toys etc. It's a shame because they have a wide range of products for reasonable prices but the staff let it down and the welfare of the animals is shocking.

And I when in to pets at home just to see if they had a dog harness to fit my dog so she would be safe in my car & l find the workout was very helpful I'm very nice too which makes a change the last time I use that stool the worker was very very ignorant so I decided not to use pets at home again but it was at st. Only popped in to buy dog food. Was second in the queue to pay. The man serving the customer in front asked a woman to open up a till to serve the next customer (me) but instead she just sat there playing with her nails. The line is getting bigger and the man says again can you help serve and she says 'oh I thought you were joking' then said something else that I didn't hear and walked away. She clearly didn't want to work that day (2/1/23) and had a general bad attitude

does everything you need for your pets hear everything under One Roof and great value for money also the vets are absolutely amazing and take really good care of your pets I recently had my new kitten vaccinated here and they really made him feel at home and also lots of free advice and if you're ever unsure of anything then just ask a member of staff and they'll be only happy to help almost anything you need pet related you will find here highly recommend

This is a pleasant establishment with lots to see, including cute rabbits and guinea pigs ext along with an aquarium full of interesting fish you can but. Pet friendly as well you can take your fur babies in with you to try on collars for size and other treats. There is an instore vetinary practice and grooming parlour as well for your pets convenience. The only downside is that they can be rather expensive, but that is usual with specialist traders.

Great experience with my cat. Having previously taken my 2 other cats for spading at a different vets can most certainly say that Vets for Pets at Pets at Home is by far the best!! So caring & ensure that the animal is comfortable & healing well. I never had any of this before. My cat received her operation, medication for 5 days to support with any pain & 2 follow up check ups to make sure she is healing well. Thank you Pets for Vets @ Pets at Home

Hello to whoever is reading this. I have used this Pets at Home years ago to purchase crickets to feed my beardie. Today i went in to purchase a guinea pig for my daughters 2nd birthday tomorrow. They helped me pick the right one i'd want, which i managed to adopt a previously ill one, helped me chose the right cage and bedding, provided lots of details and fantastic help and support from the staff. Would definately recommend going here. Dayal.

I went Thursday 9th March to get some snails for my fish tank. As I walked in the girl behind the counter smiled and said hello. I got to the tanks to make sure they had some and then went to look on the shop floor for a member of staff and there were none so I went to the counter to ask for help. Another assistant came so the girl behind the counter asked her if she could help me and I was rudely told it would be 15 minutes so I left.

While I was asking some questions regarding dog food The staff i was speaking to was interupted by another member of staff and she turned away from me while I was still speaking with her and continued to chat to the other staff. I had to get her attention again but she was not interested in helping. This was very rude This is a shame as I have had good experience with other staff who are very helpful normally

One sunny day I had decided to walk all the way to "pets at home" at Beaumont Leys to buy food for our little Beardy (see photo) only to discover that I'd left my wallet at home.....oh! I was delighted to be recognised as a regular shopper and a certain lovely lady let me pop the money in the next morning..so much more grateful cos our little chap had completely ran out..so thanks again from us both! x

This is a good place for your pets accessories and pet care products and all the other items you need for your pets, I'm a fish lover cold water fish and here you can get various types that you might be interested in. The staff are always friendly and helpful and very polite and the place is very tidy and clean, so if looking for the best place for your pets and whatever you need please check it out.

Not happy! I recently brought two hamsters from here, one died with having it two days and my other one was fine! Today when I woke up my hamster was laying in the middle of the cage dead! When I went up to get my money back they said this is common as they are young! This is not acceptable they should not be selling animals if it is common! I will not be buying anything from here ever again.

Never had such bad service waited in the paying qué for 20 mins to speak to member of staff about fish, for her then to walk off and help another customer who stopped her to ask a question who hadn't stood in the qué like myself. ended up walking out without buying what I went in for, literally 2 members is staff in the whole store on a busy Saturday. Will never bother going in again.

Staff in the shop do not reflect the caring advertisements and spend more time running around the shop as you have a TROLLEY in the shop! So pushchairs, zimmer frames etc are not allowed in? What about the elderly that cannot carry the large bags of heavy dog food. Pleaded with the staff to allow me to purchase and response was trolley are not allowed. Happy to lolet your dogs starve!

I have always had very good experience at the store. Although, certain items cannot be found when compared to the Pets at Home, Fosse Park, most of the needs are met with respect to my acquarium and chickens. The store closes at 7 pm, which I find a bit disadvantage. Staffs are very friendly and helpful too. I would continue to visit the store in the future.

Incredibly over priced compared to both of the supermarkets in the immediate vicinity for dog treats. Their vet service is also quite expensive too, especially for pet grooming. They have a great selection of speciality pet supplies, it's Just a shame that they charge so much for it, especially when you can buy the same stuff elsewhere drastically cheaper.

Received great customer service and very helpful advice from Kaisty. She was more than happy to help which we really appreciated as we have a new puppy and were a bit unsure on what to buy/not buy. Overall had a really positive experience from the moment we got to the entrance we were warmly welcomed by the security guard and other members of staff.

Okay store with just about everything you could need for most pets. Let down by poor staff, very patronising when discussing dog flea products even though we knew what we needed kept trying to push products that we have used before without success. Took 5 minutes to get the item we requested whilst they tried to push other alternative products.

Usually we only shop here when there are special offers otherwise it can be quite pricey. Parking and other facilities are more than adequate. I would not recommend purchasing animals from them particularly the fish which look unwell and overstocked most of the time. Sourcing through a local fish shop is the better option imo.

Staff are absolutely useless and rude, as a company you think you know what's best for the fish there but cram 100s of them into tiny tanks them tell me I can only have a certain amount in mine tell me I need plants and wood and other stuff to make the fish happy but then have them in bare minimum tanks

Helpful staff and brilliant service. The 'VIP pet club' is not the best however has some useful offers. The pet grooming service is quite expensive but does a very good job. A wide range of pet products can be purchased and high quality custom animal tags can be brought from the store.

Apparently if they're helping another customer by carrying their things, they'll jump them forwards in the queue also and completely disregard your existence. Much better shopping experiences at other local PaH stores, such as Coalville & Fosse Park.

Costa coffee Beaumont leys Visited today and ordered a flat white, was like a cup of hot milk. Could not taste any coffee. Was going to queue and complain but long queue and lots of waiting, did not have time. Will not be going back.

Absolutely disgusting. Apparently when purchasing a pet in store you get 6 weeks FREE health care, my hamster died in the first 10 days of purchase. And it's been 8 weeks that I'm still waiting on my refund for the vet bill.

We went for a meal in the blackbird in the afternoon. We really enjoyed our meal, it was cooked perfectly & the service was great too. I would recommend the blackbird to anyone. I will definitely be going back for a meal.

It's ok but expensive. The variety is good and the vets are great but extremely expensive. The groom room, you've guessed it, expensive . The shop is very varied but it's not cheap, although it is quality.

The only moan is theirs a notice board saying fish need plants and coral but there's none in the tanks. So fish welfare is only important when the fish is in your home. Not good really.
