I called today and spoke with Blake about my account. He was extremely rude and ended up hanging up on me. When I called the first time he rushed through the call and directed me to the corporate office which he didn’t have the number or offer to look up the number. Told me I could google it myself, which I did. Upon calling the corporate office they explained I needed to speak with a manager at the location I was a member of. When I called back and asked when a manager would be in as one is not there until Monday. When I called back to ask when a back to ask when a manager was in he explain she would be back Monday. I also explained so no one else would be given incorrect information that corporate could not help any issues had to be taken up with the manager at each location. His reply tot hat was I know that, so I asked why would he direct me somewhere knowing I wouldn’t be assisted. He told me I didn’t ask if they could help me or not. Well if I am calling in with an issue and I’m asking for someone to assist me that certainly does not mean send me to some place that cannot help then he hung up in my face. I have been charges over a year for a service I have not used, which he was able to confirm. I no longer have a barcode as it was collected when I can cancelled and provided proof I was moving. I really need a manager to call me to resolve this issue.

I did a 1 year contract with Planet Fitness where I pay an initial membership fee and then $10 for one year. However, I was charged $42.16 for another membership fee after my contract was up without notice. I went in to make sure I was canceled and get a refund for the random charge. They were unable to help me and let me know that they send out reminders for cancelling so people don’t receive the charge. I had never received an email or notification from them for the entire year. I found out they had spelled my email incorrectly in their system. (Had I received the communication and reminder, I would have canceled in a timely manner.) After the staff found out they inputted it wrong, they still did nothing and just referred me to corporate. I called corporate who bounced me back to this Hermitage location. I am going in circles at this point. So far, I have received poor customer service and help. I have now had to email the Hermitage manager for help. We will see if this gets resolved. Hoping it does and someone can help. UPDATE- The social@planetfitness person responded and it looks "nice" but when I emailed them, they did not help whatsoever. It seems this business is only concerned with money and not a human connection. I WILL NOT be returning to Planet Fitness ever and will let my friends know their lack of customer service.

I have enjoyed going here for the last few years. The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is clean. They have added some new cardio equipment recently. Which is nice, but the weights need updated the most. The actual weight that is available isn't heavy enough for probably 40% of the clients that frequent this location. The machine leg press is a good example of what I'm talking about, the max weight is only 290lbs. At several other Planet Fitness' the leg press machines go over 300lbs. There is only one leg press inside that you can put "free weights" on. The problem is that to get over 300lbs you need at least 3-45lbs plates on each side. Since there aren't many extra plates available there are several times when you are limited to 2-45lbs plates on each side. Overall still a good place you workout with a great staff, but needs to add some weights all around and it would be 5 star!

I have been a member of this location for quite a few years now & haven’t had that many bad experiences except for staff that just hangs out up front doesn’t say or do much, most the paper towel rollers are empty most of the time. There are very few benches, most of the time I can’t even bench on the smith machine do too hardly any benches if there’s not gonna be enough equipment you need to cut the fees in half . I’m paying for a service that is absolutely inadequate.I’ll add to this review that I posted quite some time ago with 0 response from this facility. I go to this gym only out of convenience. When I’m there for 2 hrs at a time & see not one employee cleaning anything . The YMCA makes these guys look like clowns I think I’ll be contacting the health dept. train your employees to do more than stand behind the counter & conversate with one another

I don’t care what the reason for it is. First, you take away the scales and now both the drinking fountain AND the bottle filler have been “broken” for over two months. This is a gym. Water is not a luxury. My membership is a luxury to you when I could go somewhere else and get free water. Hopefully, no one will have any heart attacks or heat stroke on your watch. Fix your stuff, Hermitage. I walked up to the counter today to get a bottle of water and she was going to charge me but she said she was “feeling generous.” If you run a gym, and you don’t have access to water for your members— you should be closed, that’s dangerous. Most people refill there water bottle at least 2-3 times while working out. …All the employees are great but other than that, whoever is running the show over here needs to get it together!

All was well till I tried to use the black card member only area. I am a black card holder. I got 15 min on the massage chair. I had some extra time and wanted 15 more min. But they said only 10 the next time. Said I could come back for 5 more min if I wanted to. Just rude. I mean I pay twice as much as regular members for the tiny extra area It gets you. But I get it. No wait for the chair so I guess it was a power trip. I see how Nashville treats visitors. Hopefully the owner of this planet fitness will address their employees on being polite. I’ll be back and see if improvements have been made to staff. And if not I guess I’ll call corporate. Ohh by the way. Looked like mold in the men’s shower wall. Maybe clean a little instead of treating your black card members like lowlifes. ✌️✌️

This location is not the best when it comes to the staff and the way they are trained. I was going to the Mt Juliet location as a regular but was out of the way for a day and thought I would try it out.. I was not impressed with how I was treated. The staff was not helpful and they were not even able to tell me what all they {offered in the sense of classes or anything but I was quickly informed with what all I was not allowed to do. Also if you want to use the tanning options there please make sure you are knowledgeable about what your body can handle, they were not able to give me any type of information about tanning or how to stay safe while doing it. Thankfully I have been doing it for a while so I was okay but they could seriously hurt someone else.

The only Planet Fitness I've been to in Nashville is the Hermitage location which I like very much! Its very clean, has all the equipment I like to use, the members are always friendly and staff very professional, welcoming & accommodating. I recently had a very negative experience with one employee at the front desk. I send a big thank you out to upper management of the Hermitage PF for their prompt and professional handling of that situation! I've not seen that employee since that incident. My experiences since then are always pleasant! I look forward to being greeted by the friendly staff when I walk in! Im able to focus on my fitness goals and get a great workout. Affordable and convenient. I just wish they would have somebody wipe down the tanning beds after each use. Leaving it up to the members to wipe the bed after they tan is very risky especially during Covid! I literally have to wipe down the tanning bed every time before I use it because the person before me did not clean up their own funk! So I wind up cleaning it twice before and after. I also wish they would keep newer bulbs in the beds more frequently! Other than that I do like this gym. They do need to upgrade the machines. But if you’re looking for something convenient and affordable this is your place. The staff always greets me in the morning and says have a nice day when I leave. So the staff gets an A+

My wife and I have been coming to this PF for the last 2 years. Every so often we come together under one membership. Not Today! We basically were told we don’t have the membership that allows guests. We notified them that we have been coming for years and never had an issue. “Well we have these cameras now and they are starting to get strict”, is what we were told. So let me go ahead and upgrade my plan was my thought . “Well sir you will need to get a new account. I can’t upgrade the one you already have.” The clerk was swift to cancel my membership without a second thought. No exceptions to the rule this last time being that we are there ready to workout.

Went to sign up for a membership here, and they refused to let us sign up without giving our full bank routing and account number. No way I am going to give that to any business, because that allows them to just take money out when they want. In addition, my brother was moving to Knoxville to go to UT and they made it a huge PITA to cancel. He wasn't going to drive three hours to go to the gym. Also, they really hate fit people here. The whole place is set up as a feel good gym, but not really a gym. They'll literally sound an alarm if you don't baby the weights or show any sign of physical exertion. Their training programs are quite good though.

The Planet Fitness Hermitage has some of the best staff around. I'm always greeted with a smile, a hello and a have a good workout. They even call me by name! No matter who is behind the counter, it's always consist great service! Even on the workout floor when they are going about their job duties, the staff is smiling, friendly and always helpful, they have rescued me several times when my water bottle top came off or broke and there was a mess on the floor. I appreciate so much the great service. It makes coming in to workout a nice experience. Thank you everyone at PF Hermitage!! Y'all are awesome! :-) - Tania

I have been a member of 3 different Planet Fitness gyms and this one in Hermitage is the best because it is truly 24/7 and the etiquette is actually pretty good for a Planet Fitness besides the guy in the daytime whistling very loudly instead of training, the guy stomping on the stepmill constantly messing them up, and the guy who stacks up dumbbells vertically in front of his bench when he lifts other dumbbells. Back in the day, all 3 of those clowns would be thrown out of the gym. Besides those guys, pretty good etiquette in there. I mean, it is Planet Fitness. Gonna be some gym clowns.

The little guy at the counter today was rude & insinuated I would steal the massage chair tokens for the car wash when I asked for 3! He said I could come back out & get another.... ? (What is the difference exactly? EXCEPT the inconvenience to ME for having to stop/start again!) Everyday since i upgraded to the blackcard in FEBRUARY, I have taken a 15 minute(=3 coins) massage in the chair after my workout. Did I say EVERY DAY?? Anyway, I told him if that is the way it has to be then to cancel my membership, which he smugly did without batting an eye! Some customer service Planet Fitness!

Pretty good gym with lots of equipment. My only complaint is that they don't have a free rack for doing squats and deadlifts. They only have a couple of those Smith machines, which are a poor substitute. It is probably because they are targeting mainstream fitness enthusiasts who are happy to use the machines. I used to follow the Stronglifts workout, so I guess I'll need to modify my approach since PF doesn't have the equipment I need for that But on the whole, this is a good gym with an unbeatable price tag: $10 monthly for basic membership and $20 for their Black Card membership.

The dirtiest Planet Fitness I’ve ever been to. I don’t know if they are short staffed but every machine has dust on it and the floors have built up grime and dirt. The bathrooms had toilet paper on the floors and everything looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a day. Most planet fitness locations always have people walking around cleaning but this one only had one lady at the counter for an hour and a half. Even if they are short staffed the build up of filth underneath the machines has taken a great deal of time to build up as badly as it is.

Didn't have any issues until I started getting charged $15 late fees. It's kind of funny, because my account is auto paid, and was paid correctly on time each month. But 15 to 20 days later I would get charged a late fee. I was told I had to speak to the manager, but the manager is conveniently never there when I call, and the manager never calls back despite leaving my information. So I'll have to take it up with American Express since planet fitness freely takes money for your account with no justifiable cause.

Horrible... Was in town for work and went to this PF to workout and it was the WORST PF visit I have ever had! Front desk associate enjoyed talking more to patrons rather than helping people get acquainted with the gym...THAT was evident on how filthy the gym was! Straight up NASTY!! There was so much dirt and dust on the dumbbell racks and equipment that I have ever seen! Disgusting....simply put! Also the customer service I received was totally unacceptable! She definitely did not take that job seriously.

Me and my husband have been members at this location for more than an year now and we have always visited the gym together. At joining we were told that the guest in a black card may use all the equipment and other amemities like massage chairs and beds except for the total body enhancement. We have been using it regularly, and suddenly today we were told that the guest can only use the equipment and nothing else. The lady from the staff behaved very rudely. We are now considering to cancel our membership.

Want to give a special shout-out to Vivian. She always welcomes and says good-bye even with a smile. She’ll be vacuuming and the only one there sometimes and she still greets folks and welcomes them in. She’s the staff person I always see wiping windows quickly and going the extra mile. Give her a raise and an opportunity to move up if she wants it because she deserves it! Had to ask her her name today since they don’t have name tags - I’d recommend name tags for sure for staff.

I signed up for their services in January of 2016 and only used the services for 3 months. I hadn't gone to the gym since April of 2016 and went in August to cancel, talked to the manager to at least waive the ETF since I've paid the monthly fee for 5 months and hadn't used the services at all and even paid the yearly maintenance fee, but he said he wouldn't waive it. So 3 months of fitness experience cost me almost $300. Ridiculous. This is very bad business.

$21.85 for a one day pass. Not from here just looking for a place to work out .....most I’ve ever heard of for a day pass....update changed from a one star to a four star. I had already worked out at my hotel fitness center when I discovered they sent me a free day pass. At least they responded and tried to make it right. I’m not a hater so I took the time to change the review. I have been in these gyms before and they are clean and well equipped

I come here as a guest with my fiance. I love this place and look forward to getting my own membership once work picks back up. The other thing I hate is half of the TVs putting on the news. The gym is my time away from everything happening in the world. Aside from that, this particular location is always very clean, I have never seen it overcrowded (it's a big gym!), it has a fun environment, and has many really great machines to work out on.

Planet Fitness is really Clean & Cheerful and a great place to Work out!! Everything is good but I can't understand WHY did they REMOVE the Weighted Scales from the Dressing Rooms?? It doesn't make any sense to work hard and then NOT be able to SEE your achievements I donot own a scale at home and really liked being able to checky results at the gym!! PLEASE... PLEASE... Staff isn’t well trained, management has poor quality customer service. I been trying to update my payment card for the last 3 months and they keep messing up. They don’t even want to cancel my membership. Waste of time and money. I hope Mt Juliet location can do better and they can cancel my membership Anyways THANKS for make me pay fees to my bank because you staff doesn’t know how to update a new card as method of payment ‍♀️

Haven’t been to this hermitage location for about a while. Came here to workout a year later and they are still clean as ever. One of the cleanest planet fitness in Nashville some of the other planet fitness in Nashville need to take notes from the Hermitage location on how to keep a gym, restrooms and showers cleaned. They are constantly walking around cleaning something this is how a gym is suppose to look

Been going here for about a month now. Typically workout early in the morning, and there is only about 20 to 30 people there. Usually have no wait to use the machine I want to use, and always a treadmill open for cardio. Lost a star because they don't have as many free weights as I would have liked, which means you usually have to wait to use those. Huge plus though, I shopped around, and this place is very inexpensive.

Very positive experience, great price. However, some of the machines have a mind of their own. Please be very conscientious when exercising because if cardio equipment pauses or stops in the middle of workout it could lead to serious injury. Also, this location isn't very safe after certain hours. Overall, it's been great for kicking off weight loss (air conditioned exercise in the hottest part of summer).

I changed my review from three stars to 5 stars, I do have the black card and I use the tanning bed and massage chairs daily.. on top of access to all the other amenities. I definitely say my 22$ a month is VERY well spent. I live the elliptical and the total body enhancement. I always go between 4 and 6 a.m.wndbi LOVE KT!!! That's my boo and he amazing! Overall I'm VERY happy with my #PFblackcard

The water in the showers is lukewarm and the air in the room where you take a shower is cold because there is cold air conditioning. In short, when I take a shower sibito after I feel the symptoms of a cold. I assume that the fact that the showers have lukewarm water and that the room is cold is a way to discourage people from using this service and thus save in terms of water and energy.

First off, the staff is incredible. Savannah signed me up and was absolutely wonderful. I had a training class with Dennis and he was great as well. Every time I check in I get a huge smile! Whenever I go back to do the hydromassage or chair the person signing me in there is always cheerful. It's really a delight to go torture myself with the exercise! LOL!

I'm a Veteran and I have some days where walking is hard. I come here with my spouse so they can exercise and I can use their hydro massager. It doesn't make the pain go away, but the employees are kind of enough to let me use it twice in one go and it helps with the pain and kinks in my muscles significantly. I love this gym and it's employees.

Very few people there when I was there. Went for a quick 30min cardio workout and used the hydromassage bed. Staff was very friendly and in case you don't know you do have to be a member or your host has to have Black Card status for you to use the workout facilities. Guest arent able to use the "VIP" features like their host.

Was a member here for over a year. Made friends with staff at first, but they have a very high turnover rate. The more newer people came in, the worse it got. The drinking fountain was often broken for weeks as well as benches. Good if you are looking for cheap busy place to workout. I wouldn't expect anything else.

I love the morning staff. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and it’s rarely crowded that early. I love that there are plenty of machines and weights. I would love the wall behind the barre in the stretch room to be mirrors. It helps to make sure posture is correct. It’s always clean and litter free.

At sign up they only took my name and money, did not give me any kind of explanation about anything, but an "you're all set" its all i got. 7months later i went to cancel my subscription and made it a pain .... Had to pay $50+ just so i could get my card out of their system. Staff was horrible.

Gym itself is okay, however the men's locker room is not. Dressing rooms with no doors, showers extremely cramped with no where to put your things, lights above showers are out, handicap shower head was laying on the floor, and zero hot water. This was around 7:45 am when it wasn't too busy.

Went here for my 1st visit after signing up. The staff treated me horribly. No tour was offered. When I asked questions they were very vague and dismissive and made me feel stupid. After just 1 visit I'm ready to cancel my membership. I'm still having anxiety attacks about it the next day...

I am in the Military and if it had not been for the flexibility and all the equipment that planet fitness has to offer....I dont think that I would be able to maintain being in shape and staying within the Army standards. Oh and the tanning is great too. Thank you guys !!!

2.5 honestly, Nicely staffed. Can't complain there. But this place is very limited in space. Everything is bunched up. I think I literally felt the person next to me sweat on me! No but seriously... too small! Equipment is a bit out of date compared to the other PF's!

The people are nice. The facility is great. Bathrooms are usually clean. It's pretty low key and that a lot of elipticals treadmills bikes stair steppers. I have never been there and wasn't able to use a machine because it was too busy. I go at least 4 times a week.

Lots of machines are a good thing! The staff know how to keep the place looking really nice as well. They also have a great variety of machines to work out various muscle groups. A great gym for the price if you live in the Hermitage/Donelson area!

I just love the first and second shift people at the Hermitage Planet fitness!!! They are the most friendly, knowledgeable and helpful people I've ever met at a fitness center! I would recommend ANYONE FOR THIS PLACE!!!! THEY ARE AMAZING ❤️

If you want to utilize your black card membership perks, I’d suggest a different location. Appears this gym was unattended for 12 hrs. I personally waited over 15 mins, called the phone & knocked on the office door. No sign of an employee…

I love this gym, only complaint is I go real early in morning and nobody is ever at the counter. Sometimes I would like to tan or use the massage chair but nobody is there to help. Anyone could walk in bc there never anyone at counter

Clean facility with friendly staff. PLENTY of treadmills, bikes and NEW machines! Still a little light on the free weights, but that's the whole Planet Fitness thing. Enjoy working out here. It's not terrible even when very busy.

Love the new crowd meter and pre checkin method. My only issue was one of the paper towels dispenser was empty and I had to walk from my area to another one. There was sufficient staff who could have replaced paper towels.

If you need a good workout in the Hermitage Donelson area I would highly recommend planet fitness. Although some of the machines seem to be in need of some updating overall they have a thorough lineup of equipment.

My area is limited for gym options. I prefer the gyms like Golds, LA Fitness, etc, but this is the closest near me. This location has gotten cleaner since they hired a GM. No wifi. It serves its purpose.

Great as usual! Great value as with any planet fitness. There is an AED (a HUGE aspect of how I rate any gym), and the selection of machines is nice. My only gripe is there isn't any free WiFi!

Love this place, especially the Black Card Spa. I don't use the tanning beds but I do use the hydro-massage and the Total Body Enhancement. Love them both, it's so worth the extra money!

Very clean gym. Staff is very polite. It's not as crowded as a lot of other Planet Fitness' so you can get a full workout in at any given time.
