This was a very fun experience! We went with a whole group of friends and we all really enjoyed ourselves! Anyway, here’s my full review if you want to read about what to expect: First off, you should make a reservation and when you do it’s $20 a person for your “ticket”. They also let you know that you get a 90 minute time limit, which is nice when you get there as they should be running on time…but you may feel a little rushed at the end of your session there. Also keep in mind this is a cocktail bar only, they don’t have food. They do have some ice cream and sorbet if you want a little dessert with your cocktails, but that’s it. When we got there they took us to the waiting area and it was a very pretty, cool (as in not hot ), dark, and relaxing space. Then they took us back to a really awesome looking “train car” bar that looks like it’s moving as you look out the windows, and it’s a nice little scenery that goes by. Now…if you get motion sickness VERY easily like me then you will want to keep this in mind, you really do feel like you’re moving. Luckily I was able to combat this as I had medication with me to help. So if you do get motion sickness then either take medication before hand, or whatever it is that helps you, or you may want to avoid it here. Anyway, pictures do not do it justice, it does look so much cooler in person! They seated our group of 6 at the very back of the train car, which looks like a big booth wrapped around the very back with little tables. The tables are very small and you have to squeeze together as each one fits 2 people at the very most. There are quite a few little tables wrapped around the back so they seated other groups right next and in front of us. Not a problem unless you have issues with confined spaces with a group of people, but that’s what the alcohol is there for to fix right? When you first sit down they have a glass of champagne waiting for you, which I guess is for cleansing your palate between drinks but I don’t think anyone’s champagne lasted very long. They have a lot of different cocktails to choose from which are pretty pricey but they were definitely top notch and were very very good! The staff was great and our “conductor” was so nice and very knowledgeable! She could tell you about any cocktail they have on the menu. We didn’t get any of the ice cream/sorbet but some other people around us did and they said they were tasty. In the end we were very glad we tried this place out, it was really a good experience. That’s exactly what this place is about…it’s about your experience there, and the staff works hard to make sure you do enjoy yourself. I definitely recommend it as a fun and different place in Phoenix to try out!

I went here not really knowing what to expect as an out of towner; I was pleasantly surprised. They don’t serve food so you need to plan to eat before or after. The craft drinks they serve are excellent quality and spot-on. The staff are friendly and have extensive knowledge. It is pricey if you have never experienced a craft cocktail establishment, but it’s well done. If well drinks are your staple, you might want to pass. I would recommend reservations; we didn’t have any and the staff were still awesome and fit us in on people that had left with spare time. This sounds strange, but a reservation has only 90 minutes and then you are given your bill and are “asked “ to politely move on. This sounds weird but it’s actually really efficient and everyone knows the deal. Decent parking and access. I would recommend it and did to some of my friends.

Date of service: 07/13/23 Wow… what an amazing experience! My wife and I decided to make a reservation at Platform 18 and by the end of the night we had absolutely no reservations about it whatsoever! They have a signature cocktail there which is kinda pricey, but it is sooooo very tasty… and it comes with a little bit of theatre along with it. Our bartender, Nicole, was a great host who engaged in conversation while expertly mixing drink after drink for the patrons she served. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that’s up for a little fun. The theme of the bar seemed like a mix of an old-school train car combined with the vibe of a speakeasy. I’d definitely go again!

The train car aspect of Platform 18 is great. The screens in the window to show scenery like you’re actually moving is great. It would be even cooler if they all acted like separate windows to really feel like you’re moving but if you don’t pay too much attention it’s still great. I would’ve loved to try this bar with their own menu to get the real experience. Having Rayo there was cool, to be able to experience their cocktails that give you an actual mixology experience when drinking was great! I wish you had the option of what menu to try, since we were visiting from out of state we would have rather had their original menu. I would come back to try their other bars and possibly try this one’s true menu.

This is a really cool experience for cocktails when in town. If you’re looking for a unique immersive experience look no other than Platform 18. Although, I highly recommend making reservations for the train experience they book up very quick and we ended up making reservations for Grey Hen. Although the experience isn’t quite as fun it still possesses a cool New Orleans vibe and lots of great drink selections. Your reservation window is for 90 minutes and there is a $20 reservation deposit which goes toward your minimum drink purchase.

The Century Grand has three different bars all located in the same place. They don't offer any food, but each bar (Platform, Undertow, and Grey Hen Rx) has a unique and immersive theme. These bars are perfect for enjoying a pre-dinner or post-dinner drink, whether you're with your partner or friends. However, it's important to note that despite how it may appear in photos, each bar is actually much smaller in person. Because of this, it's highly recommended to make a reservation, and the reservation is only valid for a set amount of time. So, if you're having a great time and not ready to leave, they will kindly ask you to make way for the next reservation at your table.

Wow, what an experience. I was so looking forward to the immersive train experience, and while that was amazing, what was even more impressive was the talent and hospitality behind the bar. The cocktail list is extensive and creative, with each cocktail being perfectly crafted and well balanced. Our bartender, Crystal was truly incredible. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and so well-spoken when it came to explaining the menu and answering any questions. I have some food allergies that are hard to work around in a bar setting, but the team cleaned their tools well and knew right away what I could and couldn’t have. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable experience. Truly top notch.

I found this bar on TikTok and it did not disappoint. It’s an interesting experience modeled after an antique train car with TV screens for windows with scenery passing by to mimic the effect of a moving train car. The drinks are expensive but they are specially curated it to the environment portrayed it out the windows. They change the screens yearly and the menu changes to match. Now it’s the bayou during a perpetual sunset. The staff were also very friendly.

Concept is awesome. Didn't know what to expect walking in however it did not disappoint. The lighting from the get go is low and the waiting area gave London/Harry Potter vibes which I loved. Getting on the "train" the staff was welcoming the menu's had their special touch and seeing the scenery out of the windows really was fun. Cocktails were very strong which was great but def is made for those looking for an experience. No jack n cokes here. Lol The presentation was so much fun.

OK, we had to try it. I am a sucker for speakeasies, and this one was pretty cool. I was afraid it was going to be a little on the cheesy side but it delivered on “cool experience”. The drinks are overpriced, but remember that you are paying for drinking on a “moving” train car. Best drink was the Clarified Milk Punch. We tried several. Eat before you come, no food on the menu.

This is a fun experience. The attention to detail in decor and staff uniforms is great. The "moving train" effect is super and the drinks are good. The drink menu and concoctions are interesting and creative. We enjoyed the visit very much. Check it out online before you go so you understand the protocols and pricing. You are buying an experience, not just a cocktail. I will return to try the other two venues.

A unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience! We enjoyed the train setting and our “conductor” was friendly and knowledgeable. However, do note that it is just a regular bar but with a cool setting. Based on their website I almost expected something different. It’s just a really unique and fun themed bar. Would recommend for a cool experience or birthday party! Definitely pass if you get motion sick easily.

Me and a few of my girlfriends went here, and the place was so cool! We really enjoyed the drinks. They were fantastic, all prettier than I was. Our servers / conductors were super helpful with picking out what drinks we wanted. They knew the menu incredibly well and we had so much fun with them. Wish we caught their names but they were amazing! Would definitely come back!

Platform 18 is a gem of a cocktail bar, the entire menu is amazing. My personal favorites are the guava tea milk punch and the orange cardamom gin and tonic. Must visit for cocktail enthusiasts!
