It was very disappointing to dine in there. There are so much room for them to improve; from both FOH and BOH parts 1. FOH- a waitress was really not genuinely want to serve us and was not paying attention to us at all. We said we would love to sit outside then the waitresses told us the tables and chairs are wet which seems not but we couldn't be bother to insisting getting the table because we just wanna enjoy first lunch at the restaurant after lockdown so we had to get inside sit on a small table nearby the bar eventhough and order foods. 2. FOH- after the foods were served, it seems like the table were too small so we asked made a request to move to a bigger table (as we were the ONLY single table sitting inside) . Instead of talking to us and explained reason why we were not able to do that, she just angrily dragged a small trolley and place it next to our table. With this kind of service, I feel like it's not a thing you would expect when you're being your guest and it's extremely UNACCEPTABLE! And we had to ask few times for just a napkin 3. BOH-the food were just OK but we could say that some of the foods we ordered had been prepared even before we ordered such Japchae Noodle. It was pretty cold and the Noodle were so big after soaking the sauce too long. Same with fried chicken were too tough and not hot at all. The cabbage slaw turn into brown colour so you can tell it was pretty old as well as the macaroni salad, as see from my photos, the mayonnaise already split with no taste. I'm a big fan of Korean foods so today lunch was dissatisfaction for us!

We were excited to check out the latest dining destination at Westfield Doncaster and with it Pocha Pocha, the all rooftop restaurant and bar. It was a Sunny Sunday in the lead up to Christmas and the place was absolutely buzzing with energy. We sat at the quieter corner and ordered a couple of cocktails ( well a cocktail and a mocktails since I was driving) Hard to choose for a great range of sweet and savoury options on the brunch menu but we ended up with a couple of good fusion dishes given the Korean focus of the menu. We tried the Lobster, Chilli scramble and the Korean Fried Chicken waffles. Really good choices and we both loved the level of spices in the dish although I was more willing to indulge in freshly chopped chilli than my dining buddy. The KFC waffles came with a nice spice hit from sriracha sauces and although waffles were quite sweet they could be made sweeter with maple that was served on the side. Exciting brunch items that matched the general atmosphere. Next time we hope to check out their evening menu where cafe style brunch dishes shift to Korean BBQ. Thanks to the team at Pocha Pocha for their hospitality.

Part of Westfield Doncaster's newest rooftop expansion Pocha Pocha gives Doncaster locals its first much needed rooftop bar. The food best described a Korean fusion gives you plenty of favourites like their KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) and Kalbi Beef Short Ribs alongside many great crowd pleasers like their Lobster roll and spam fries. The dishes are all very well executed and there is honestly no disappointing ones on the menu to have alongside a cocktail or beer while you chill out in their fun and fresh location. The venue itself is actually deceptively small with very limited seating to cater for the actual popularity of the restaurant, which is a source for much of their earlier negative reviews. If it rains their size shrinks down even worse, so do check the weather report before going. There is booking online available now through google and i recommend booking in advance as this place does fill up quickly and queues can be lengthy especially if you have a group bigger than 5. Honestly best to keep groups small if you want to eat here.

Food was pretty good and came fast, atmosphere was nice but service definitely had room for improvement. The gyoza was not the best I’ve had but pretty decent. The calamari was spot on. Tteokbokki could’ve used more cheese less bolognese but was good. Japchae was very nice apart from dry beef. All thumbs up from my friend whos first time trying Korean. However, the girl who served us looked like she was at a funeral. I’m a waitress myself so I don’t expect smiles 24/7 but at least I know its nice to smile and be friendly when speaking with guests and she clearly did not. No ‘have a nice day’ or even goodbye when we left either. Please train your staff on bare minimum customer service but the rest was good so 4 stars.

Not sure how people can leave good reviews here when they clearly haven't experienced good quality Korean food. This place is yet another example of the continuing trend plaguing Melbourne for the past decade. Poor quality food, smaller portions and bad service. It seems when there is a lack of competition then there is clearly a lack of everything else. So many Korean restaurants are only just pretending here or they might be using this platform to obtain a resident visa, who knows? I wont be biased though as this is happening across the board with many other Asian cuisines. Its a shame and I'm afraid to say that the mantle of Melbourne being the restaurant capital of Australia is purely based on numbers only and nothing whatsoever to do with good quality at reasonable prices.

Service is piss poor and the food is blend.. Waited for over 10 mins to speak to a waitress about getting some sauce for our blend Korean fried chicken but they were too busy to notice. Decided to walk up to the counter to request for help instead, but only to be rudely told to wait to be served by the waitress, not even asking what I needed. There was one waitress serving the entire restaurant, so she was clearly not able to attend to the patrons, which is understandable but even so, she or the manager made no attempt to be helpful or provide any level of customer service. Avoid if you wish not to be disappointed.

A funky spot in Doncaster Westfield, Pocha Pocha, serves some amazing Korean food. For those who like something cheesy, the Blue Swimmer Crab Cream Udon is the way to go. The Beef Japchae Noodles is a great, slightly less heavy option. The Korean Fried Chicken with soy garlic sauce is incredibly moreish and perfect for sharing. The signature cocktails at Pocha Pocha are fruity and refreshing. They also have mulled wine during the winter months.

Funky Korean diner in an airy shopping container set up on the top terrace of Doncaster Westfield. The Teishoku is incredible value! Every little dish was so yummy and fresh, the selection perfectly compliments the larger serve of your chosen protein and you will be stuffed after working your way thru the entire serving board! Great selection of sides and beers, our waitress was really helpful when choosing items and recommending things for the kids. It was also nice and warm even on a winter day! You should definitely go!

The food quality itself is great and tasty, the ambiance is also nice. However, the waiting time for food is not so great, we got two dishes first very quickly then I think they misplaced our other orders and had to remind them more than once to receive them. We heard other tables making complaints too. I know they are a new business, although I would have expenced more as the shop is in a busy shopping complex and not hard to anticipate that things will get busy upon opening. There was no table service for paying the bill also which made the pay station area super crowded with a long line. I will come back again in hopes that once they get the hang of things the service will improve!

Love the food here. Finally tried it and wasn't disappointed. I like how we can choose whether to have sauce on the side or on the chicken wings themselves. The wings were crunchy and very tasty. Cold noodles were yummy - couldn't stop drinking the broth. All the other dishes we ordered (tteokbokki, kimchi pancake, assorted fish cake soup and jjajang noodles) were also delicious. Couldn't fault any of them. We also really liked the ambience. It's at the outdoor part of Doncaster dining and has a relaxed vibe to it. No crazy queues! The drink choices were plenty and go well with the type of food offered.

Korean bartenders serve extremely well-kept/maintained alcoholic drinks (particularly draught beers) and high-quality cocktails. Wish floor staff members are more trained (even if they are not Korean) to reflect Korean standards with a pleasant smile and some knowledge of Korean food. The food from kitchen is well-prepared to accommodate drinkers happy.

Chicken wings: light on flavour but had so much crunch to them it was almost forgotten Spicy pork bulgogi quesadillas: fusion items are pretty hard to do well. The cheese slightly overpowered the pork but the tortillas were nice and crispy. Jajang noodles: wow. Packed with the unmistakable salty, sweet, and slightly bitter black bean flavour. Really enjoyed this dish and will definitely be back for another round.

I love the outdoor seating and the staff are really attentive. We ordered mocktails, which were really delicious. We also ordered bulgogi, japchae, waffle fries and teokbokki. Overall we liked the food. The main negative feedback was the teokbokki is too watered down, even after boiling it and letting it reduce the sauce doesn't thicken enough to coat the teokbokki ingredients. Would have loved for it to be much thicker and more flavoursome.

My recent visit to Pocha Pocha raised serious concerns about food safety. I suspect that the eggs in our dishes may have caused food poisoning for me and my friends. We experienced nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps shortly after the meal. I recommend extreme caution when ordering egg dishes at this restaurant until the issue is resolved. Please prioritize your health when dining here.

The food was good and I enjoyed each dish. The service was good too. The downside was that it was a bit cold, as it is outdoors with plastic sheeting. The other negative was that there was no restroom in the restaurant. I had to leave the restaurant and enter the shopping centre to locate a restroom. It was still worthwhile eating at this restaurant despite the small negatives.

Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. They were efficient and attentive. I got Jajang and the Korean side dishes. The jajang noodles were the star of the dish, they were gorgeous , great texture, consistency and taste. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me and didn't have much flavour. The side dishes were okay. The pickled vegetables were lovely. Good value for money.

I went back to the restaurant recently with my friend. Even though we were happy with our food, we felt that the waitresses needed to improve their customer service skills. They didn't approach us unless we called out to ask for something. Maybe because of their limited English, their communication skills were rather poor and I didn't understand what they said sometimes. I've kept 5 stars because I like the food there.

  • Ryan Phan

The experience here was very nice. While seated outside in the cold, me and my friends were accompanied with heaters. Which added a nice touch to the experience. Though the food tasted amazing, the food was a bit expensive. Other than that, would definitely recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys Korean cuisine and hanging out with friends.

Really enjoyed our first time here. Nice place on a warm night as it feels like you’re outdoors but undercover. Pork bulgogi and seafood pancake were both delicious. Mango ice cream came out in the shape of a mango which was novel. Service a bit abrupt maybe because it got busy but overall a good experience. Well priced too. Would recommend!

Stopped in for a quick bite before our movie. We were seated quickly and our order was taken promptly from a new staff member who got the drink order mixed up but otherwise the service was great and the food was served just after our drinks arrived. The bao bun entre and KFC (Korean Fried chicken ) with waffle fries were a hit with us. Will drop by again.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was good. However, as we continued to order food and drinks, the person who received the order didn't look very happy. We ordered a lot, but as we placed the order, she didn't seem to like us taking orders, so we came out without eating anymore.

Food poisoning! Throwing up all night! All I had all day are food from this restaurant! Come to think of it, days before I had the runs the night after I had lunch there but that day I also had something else to eat so I wasn't sure! So two times, the foods are off there! Both time I had beef, in different dishes!

A Great place to sit down for a quick bite and a drink. The place has good vibes. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Both of our dishes were very tasty and well presented. The restaurant is located outside near the rooftop carport. It's in a good location if you are going to or just been to the movie. More

Fantastic addition to Westfield Doncaster with an unexpectedly excellent Korean fusion brunch and lunch menu. Definitely try their Korean Fried Chicken, Mango Hotcakes and Croque Monsieur with Galbi Beef. Portions are generous and great value for the price point. (Invited to attend but opinions are my own)

pocha pocha is a delight with a fantastic atmosphere and menu to match. We could hardly choose as the menu looked so good so the whole table went with the Feed Me option. We were not disappointed and our tummies sure we're full at the end of it. Oh and one more thing...the cocktails were great.
