If you want to learn more about local history and about the pony express, this is the place for you. If you are driving through Utah, make this one of your stop spots and if you are a local, I am sure that you have visited here many times...but one more time couldn't hurt. Everyone has heard about the pony express, but if you really want to know what the riders felt like, get on a horse and get a feel for how it used to be. You won't regret it!

Got a day to travel back in time? The route is easy enough for any SUV and 4-wheel drive is not needed. You could probably do it in a Prius if you took your time. Great for kids if you did some pre-trial study so they would understand what they were experiencing. The Fish Springs area is worth taking time for to view the diversity of the desert. Just make sure you have a full tank of gas and plenty of water!

It's a nice park for a long walk. If you are visiting with kids there are several activities for them to do, pony rides, petting zoo, there is a blacksmith, splash pad, train tour and a few more things to do. The volunteers are very nice and ready to answer questions.

Very cool exhibit, but very sad to see tge condition of the landscaping in comparison to the other monuments literal feet away. All others have well-maintained (trimmed, watered, etc grass/trees/scrubs), while the landscaping in front of and around this piece appear to have not see any sort of maintenance this year or possibly longer.

Was hoping for a really cool monument and it wasn't bad. If you are in the area stop by and see the monument. There are a couple of attractions in the area that you can see. Maybe in the summer there is more actions but in the winter nobody was there. So parking was easy and no admission fees.

Neat place to get a history of the pony express. The house is surprisingly small and the stories say some of the places they manned were even smaller?!?! Nice to see when the history of the US is being kept alive.

Neat little summary of the Pony Express, something you always hear, but this monument helped explain a bit more about what it was, what it was trying to achieve, and how it ended. Very fun!

Interesting monument near This is the Place Heritage Park dedicated to the Pony Express. Well worth visiting for a good overview on the Pony Express, which came through this canyon.

This was quite an interesting statue showing the transition between youth and age. The overall site was small and underwhelming, but this is a nice piece of history.

Terrific statue. Lots of plaques documenting the Pony Express story. A replica of a cabin that a station master would have lived in.

One of the nicest historical marks in the Salt Lake City. The atmosphere makes you feel what Pony Express Riders should have felt.

Neat historic monuments to the pony express. Made me think about how much changing horses was a part of the system.
