Solid choice for quality games and players. Hands down best spot and my favorite all time poker room to play in Portland. Friendly staff (unless you act a fool of course), fair tournament rules and sense of humor are the norm here. Have fun and hone your skills of any level. For a $15 daily member fee, they offer multiple tournaments with good guarantees of no limit and cash games of all types. Totally worth it. Hidden bonus is the great food with a daily special and soup that delights the hungry. Last visit had the beer battered cod sandwich which was perfectly both crispy and tender. No frills, good service, full bar with variety of non alcoholic and caffeinated beverages as well. Plus tvs all around for sports fans to keep tabs on the action. Highly recommend for the card lovers out there. Clean and well organized operation. Expect to give and receive camaraderie, competition, and a hand shake if you get railed...

Poker Tournaments run daily. Many days three different tournaments are run, beginning at noon. Live No-limit holed'em games are also played. Blinds generally are 1 & 2. Occasionally higher blind structures 2/5 5 & 5/10 are also played. Somedays, Pot-limit Big O is played as well. The majority of the staff are courteous and eager to assist. The Poker room collects a $15 fee from each player. The Poker Rooms are NOT allowed to collect a DROP/Rake (fee per hand). This is usually 10% per Pot. Those person who play allot of poker know that this $15 fee is much less than a 10% Rake. Parking is free..! The room offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It also has a selection of sandwiches and snacks. The Poker room closes daily at approximately 2 am. Definitely worth a stop for poker players traveling and visiting.

Made my first trip to Portland meadows. Not a bad place for some poker. Good action. However I wasn't impressed with some of the dealers. Majority of them where great. I asked one of them as he was walking past if he could put root sports on one of the TVs for a game, all he he said was I dont know. Then asked if he could find out. He told me I don't know again and just walked off. I had to ask the person behind the counter and found it for me. Didn't liked being blown off. Secondly, it's a pet peeve of mine. I have no problem tipping dealers, I know it's their income. However, when you don't say thank you afterwards. I just tipped and just put in your bank and moved on. That just left me annoyed. Decent room, customer service however needs to improve for the better.

Started going here with a lady friend a couple months ago and have now sort of become regulars. Super welcoming staff, they remember your name, really good food. Lots of tables and lots of action. They do daily tournaments and a few games. Mainly 1-2 NL , 1-3 NL, and 5-5 NL. Dealers are friendly and helpful and there is almost always at least 4-5 tables running any day of the week and any time. Every revolution of the dealer button and the table does a bomb pot. Usually 5-2-2 Omaha but it’s the players choice. Nice comfy chairs, nice tables, and probably the nicest chips of any place in town. Best place around Portland will definitely continue to go.

This was my first live poker room I have been to, or played, switching from online. I have to say it is a very welcoming environment. Everyone pretty much is there for the same reason as you. To play poker. Just walk in and go to the chip desk by the table and they will set you up and send you to an open table. Online has nothing on real live poker games and this place is perfect for that. Also they have active security walking around regularly so you feel super safe. You can step away and grab a beer or food right behind you and head right back to your seat.

A couple of 1 * reviews are from people who say they've never been there, then why post a review? It's a great place; my favorite poker room in town. It's got decent food and drinks. Service isn't always very quick but they only have two people at most serving the entire floor so it's expected. Besides, I'm there to play poker and not have a gourmet meal, and poker here has always been fun. The have BigO shootouts as well, which although takes a little time to get used to, is a lot more fun that Texas Hold'em.

If you are expecting Vegas, Meadows isn't there yet. It's a great poker room ZERO Rake there. The $15 cover is well worth it. I have been going on the weekends and the cash games here are great. Played at the Final Table and won't go there again, Meadows is much better. This is a great and comfortable poker room once you get used to it. The cash games are great and the Sunday tournament was well run. Can't beat rake free poker! It should be more popular. Great place to play if you are thinking of going, do it.

  • Charlie Levenson

One of the best and highest-quality "Social Gaming Poker" venues available in Portland. Great seating, good lighting, excellent food, full bar service, and all for a reasonable entry fee and tournament entry prices. No rake on any tournaments or games--every penny paid goes back out in prizes. Remember to tip if you cash in a tournament (and every winning hand on the shootout tournaments) as that is how those who volunteer to do the dealing get reimbursed for their time practicing their skill.

  • Asa Harrison

Great place only if you want to feel like and be a winner. Strong drinks weak prices. Professional service. You would think you were in a mafia establishment, but we all know that that just is defiantly not the case and I couldent tell you even if it were true or else I'd have to ....well you know. I don't know anything and I deny any and all accusations thereon and I want to talk to my lawyer, this review is over until my lawyer gets here, you can talk with him, I'm done.

  • samuel sison

good friendly environment , i played the 12pm tournament luckily i was in the final 3 and i kinda pressured at the middle of a hand that mr.riley yelling at me split the pot 3 way for how many times.even the dealer warned him to stop because I'm in hand.Mr.Riley can't win shortstack..i dominated that table. maybe employees are not allowed to join tournaments ,conflict of interest. I be back again, good start,at the end of the day we split 3 way of $588 something change.

  • Jordan Wyllie

Awesome poker room. Great staff and fantastic place to spend an afternoon. In my humble opinion this is the nicest poker room anywhere near Portland. The restaurant and bar are a bonus and they have an entire room dedicated to "off track betting" if you're into horses This place is just getting started and it's already my go to spot for cards or just to hang out. I really couldn't reccomend it more. See you there!

  • Bruce Wheelock

[]Edit: My original 1-star review was for the old poker room, which sat in a facility that was close to being a death trap for people in wheelchairs. But that's history. I shall pay them a visit as soon as I sort out the transportation issues. Thence shall I post a new review for the new poker room. For now, I've boosted the 1-star rating to 3 stars so that I'm not unfairly driving the profile average down.]

  • matt bubar

Started coming here a few months ago and could not have found a better spot to play tournaments. Dealers and players are very friendly and there’s usually good banter at the tables. Prices are pretty fair and there’s a decent amount of regulars. I haven’t been to any other spots in town but I’ve heard others say Meadows is the best and I have no reason to stop going.

  • T.J. Nieman

This is, hands down, the best place to play poker in Portland. Brian (the man in charge) is a great guy. His 2nd and 3rds in command (such as Mike and Paul) are great guys. The tournament structures are amazing. It's a beautiful poker room with nice tables and a dedicated final table area. This place rules. I just hope they can stay open.

  • T Coffey

Visiting Portland after a trip to Vegas. Found this poker club and had a very good experience here. Better than Vegas. There is a 15 dollar club entry fee but the club has no rake on tournament or cash games. The staff was friendly and the tables and chairs were comfortable. You pay for your drinks as well but the prices are reasonable.

  • Fast Finish

Big O tourneys! That is the best by far. Hopefully this place gets more of those going. Traveled just to play it. Love the freeze out structures the best as well. True poker!...Very clean and comfortable chairs so you can actually play for a while.... Lots of sharks and not enough fish like me is the only downside...8

  • Sonic Hedgehog

Good local casino for poker. Not the nicest looking place or in the nicest location in town. But had good action. Dealers were nice but some seemed to not know some of the smaller details of preflop betting. Not the highest level of dealing but overall doesnt affect the game. Great place to plat poker locally.

  • Bobby

Played here for the first time last week, ended up taking 2nd in a tourney and hit a royal flush as well. Fun time! Clean and well lit room, solid dealers and staff. Only problem is the parking is way too small. They really need to add more space some how. Will definitely be returning!

  • Frank Faillace

Portland Poker Room is a beautiful new poker room in Portland with 25 tables and even more VIP tables in the upstairs. It has a full bar and a full lunch and dinner menu. Right next door (competely separate) is the new Portland Meadows with off-track betting, a full bar and food menu.

  • ShadowXtwinkey

Portland Meadows is amazing! Great staff, I especially like AJ (great dealer, nice guy). Daily tournaments, and a great selection of food and drinks. Cash games run daily, and there is no rake, simply pay the $20 entry fee. Would recommend this place to anyone who likes poker.

  • Jasper Cattin

One of the best poker rooms I've played in outside of Vegas. The lack of rake makes it the best deal in poker anywhere in the world for players. Just remember the dealers are volunteers so please be a little extra generous with your tipping.

  • April Keaton

My first poker room experience, and I look forward to more! Hopefully it was slower due to visiting later in the evening. Dealers were very helpful teaching ‘bomb pots’, which I had never played before. Very relaxed setting. I hope to

  • Nick L

Best poker room I've ever played at. Mad at myself for not making the drive to check it out sooner. Wide spread of games, good tournaments, good service, good dealers, just A+ all the way around. Will be coming back next time I'm home.

  • Deeply Rooted Whitewater

I will never return to this place again, dealers don’t know how to count chips. Won a pot went all In with $96 got a Call and only got back $120 dollars. Not to mention they barely shuffle the cards. Stick to online far more reliable.

  • Shawn Keating

It’s a good place to play in Portland. I’ve had problems with trick dealers in the other rooms around portland as a person whom seldom has the time to play (not a regular). I find meadows to be generally straight up.

  • Edward Thomas

Best Poker Room in the Pacific NW. No rake shoot outs play like cash games. Hold'em Tournaments have 30 min blinds with player friendly structure. Bomb pots are all the rage on the 'mix game tables' for added fun.

  • Kris Disbrow

First time there tonight. Old building is POS ex stripclub from back in the day but the poker layout is well done. Parking was packed, had to walk couple blocks from the Comcast office. Will go again

  • Sizzel

Great place!!! Super clean and the tournaments are run really well. The tables are really nice and its a great atmosphere. Some people on these reviews might be a little salty and should take a bath.

  • Maurice Fields

First experience here was great. Players respectful, competitive, & class functional. I felt welcome where it's very diverse environment. One word? Impressive !!! Two words ? Enjoyably, Fulfilling.

  • Clint Hawk

i love the new location! it reminds me of the ol encore pdx poker, taking steps into a lowered basement style room with a full bar. so nice! Well done Brian Sarchi! thank you for this experience

  • Nathan Palmer

Horrible place to play. It's a bunch of sharks mostly and the dealers call you out for every little thing. No one talks and it's a dead atmosphere. I'd go to final table or la center personally.

  • s solazzo

Great place. Always a lot of tables running on the weekends. Usually a good turnout for the noon time tournament. The staff are fun and professional. They have a kitchen with incredible food.

  • Stephan Zombik

Shady place to play. Regulars will gang up on anyone new and try making up rules on you. Dealers sife with there regulars instead of upholding the game. Don't waste your time or money

  • Dan Percich

It is a great OTB site or gambling. My girlfriend and I go out there to bet on the big races. Good food great service ask for karma or Stacy and yes karma is a person a wonderful lady

  • Kun Wang

Great porker room, 15 entr fee, no rake. I like the Atmosphere here, some players are talkative and funny. I visited Portland for a few days, the poker room gave me a lot of fun.

  • Erick Fredrickson

$20 to get in, no rake, daily tournaments, lot of action. Me and my friends went in and learned what the game bomb is. Great staff teaching and helping some newbie.

  • Scotty Wong

Reasonably large card room with good dealers and a good crowd. Parking situation is pretty awful, and while it's not in the best neighborhood it still feels safe.

  • Rob Hanna

Was a good room different than I'm use to living in Washington but dealers were friendly and had some cool people who play there. Good turnout for the tournaments

  • Braham Thomas

Clean room, good resturaunt and drinks,, dealers are experienced, floor is competent, games are always going, and there's plenty of action. Whats not to like?

  • Kevin Thomas

Great place to go “All-In” on the fun and action! They have quality food dishes and has various offerings day to day. Friendly environment is always a plus.

  • Chad Koffler

A solid poker room. As a trucker that sees all lower 48 states, I’ve see a few poker rooms. I always like visiting this establishment when passing through.

  • Nivek Oh

Was set up nicely got decent service. Nothing crazy nice but also offered a variety of games while keeping the main tables down to obe bomb pot per orbit.

  • Clayton Fagan

Amazing Poker Room!! The dealers are super friendly! NO RAKE, just a simple $20 fee and you're in for the day! This Includes Tournaments and Cash Games.

  • scott mayer

Since the day this wonderful place opened I haven’t been to any other poker house. The people, food, cleanliness and management are the best!!!
