The good: The rooms were fairly sound proofed, and the location was fantastic. The Not-so-good We arrived in the morning and enquired about getting one of our rooms where we could all shower, change, etc. We were told to come back in a couple hours at noon. We did. No rooms available. Told to try after 1. No rooms. At 2:35 pm, we were told that they could get one of our rooms ready early (3pm is regular check in) for an added cost of £20. The rooms have no telephones, so you need to go to the lobby to speak to reception. The advertised “free wifi” was unusable. It required login, and kicked you off after a short period of time, requiring re-authentication every time. Of course, they also offered an upgrade for £5 per day with a maximum of 3 devices. There is no daily cleaning. You must request at the reception desk before noon if you want your room cleaned each day. We had daily problems with this - they didn’t replace used mugs and the used tea and coffee, we had to go to the lobby to ask for toilet paper, we had to ask for fresh towels, the tiny garbage can was overflowing and wasn’t emptied, etc etc. There are no drawers or closets for clothing. We lived out of our suitcases but wound up piling laundry on the floor and clean clothes in the desk. The air conditioners in our three rooms routinely shut off after a period of time for no apparent reason. To be clear, everything shuts off when you leave the room, which is a great idea. I mean, after returning to the room and trying to cool it down from the afternoon heat, it might run for an hour, it might run for 5 minutes. We couldn’t figure out what the trigger was (certainly not the temp as the room was still hot). Breakfast at the restaurant required pre-payment; you can’t simply charge to your room. This meant going back to the front desk and lining up. After the second day , we wound up prepaying the cost of daily breakfast daily for our 10 day trip for convenience even though we routinely had members of our group not using it. Overall: Our group had a great visit with 10 days in London. We were able to walk or use local transit for almost all of our sight seeing and enjoyed several local pubs and restaurants. (Great location) The beds were fine, and the rooms pretty quiet although typical amenities were not present (drawers for clothing, telephone to call the desk, usable free internet as advertised) The service was poor - the hallway on our floor was dirty and remained I cleaned for days at a time. We had to line up daily in the lobby just to ask to have basic cleaning in our room (toilet, empty garbage, dishes) and often had to ask more than once a day as no one attended the first time around. For a short visit or if you want a great location without concern for amenities, it was fine.

When booking it says to try on the day but we wanted to ask about it but it took numerous tries to get through, only to be told they offer it but cannot guarantee it. On the day we arrived and did manage to check on early, however we discovered our room hadn't been cleaned properly as the room bin and bathroom bin were not emptied. We went to open the curtains and were greeted with a brick wall, and you couldn't open the window so no view at all. The room also has the smaller TV that's embedded off-center with no ports for HDMI etc. We asked reception to check the room was cleaned and bins emptied as we left for our day out. When we returned the bins were emptied. We were in room 101, and I don't know about any of the other rooms, but it was the loudest room in the entire hotel as you can hear every creak of a door on the ground floor, the elevator and we seemed to be next to the floors boiler as that went off every few minutes too. There were some good views from the 14th floor, but only 3 windows you can see out of unless you have a room up there. We were told we can have breakfast in the sister hotel a few mins walk away. The food there was good and they always had enough of everything despite being really busy. Overall it was a good location and would stay again but hope they don't put us anywhere near room 101!

You have significant issues at your hotel and I would like to share feedback. I’ve done this on your guest relations website, although don’t have faith I will receive a response. On top of several operational issues at your Waterloo (Westminster Bridge) property, this evening guests were given access to my room and startled me whilst I was naked. This is completely unacceptable and I subsequently had a panic attack due to trauma I have previously experienced. Further, the operational issues including broken lifts, broken self check in, reservations system WiFi not working, no hot water today… they all add up. There are severe staff scheduling issues, employees in the evening and at night are under severe pressure with little support, whilst during the day there seems to be endless staff doing not very much. I asked to speak to the General Manager to have a sensible conversation about my guest experience and my concerns of the damage being done to the guest (me) And also the stretched staff who are dealing with the mess of management failures. I was told she was unavailable as she works out of a different property. However I can speak with a deputy tomorrow (Sonia). It’s not good enough that the most senior person, who is meant to lead this business, isn’t taking responsibility for their poor decision making. I hope to receive a suitable response

Subject: Worst hotel experience - Feedback on my stay To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this e-mail to provide feedback on my recent stay at your hotel. Before I start, let me tell you that my experience was terrible, to say the least. I stayed in your hotel for three nights, and I'm extremely disappointed with the service and amenities provided by your establishment. Firstly, during the night, there was a constant, uninterrupted noise coming from the toilet. I tried to fix it myself, but it was beyond my control. I informed your staff about this noise, and they reluctantly acknowledged that other customers had also complained about the same problem. However, they didn't do anything to sort it out, and the noise continued throughout the night, disrupting my sleep. Secondly, the room was too small and poorly maintained. I'm not sure if it was ever cleaned before I checked in. There was no freezer, no fridge, and no proper storage facilities. The TV was small, and the sound quality was terrible. The internet was one of the worst I've ever seen. It was weak, inconsistent, and unstable. Considering the price I paid for my stay, I was expecting much higher standards. I am utterly disappointed with your hotel's service and not recommending it to anyone. I had the worst experience of my life staying in your establishment. I urge you to take my feedback seriously and address these issues immediately. Otherwise, it will leave a bad image of your hotel. Thank you for your time. Dr Khalid

I really enjoyed my stay at the Premier Inn Waterloo hotel. I arrived earlier and the receptionist gave me an amazing room with a view, taking into account my request of a high floor. The room was super clean and had enough space to feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend and I'll probably stay here again. There is one negative thing I would like to point out, and I really hope you will take it into account for the future. As I stayed only 3 days, I didn't ask for a clean-up or anything, but someone entered my room on a morning while I was not there. I noticed it because I'm sure I closed the bathroom door and when I came back it was wide open. I started to feel very unsafe knowing someone has come but I never knew who and why. When I saw that the shower head has moved completely (it was pointing the wall instead of the floor), I started understanding that they probably did a plumber repair in my bathroom. But as the reception never answered the email I send about that, I still have no idea. It would be very nice and reassuring to let your clients know when an intervention is made in the room. Especially when it's solo travelers. Apart from that, the location is perfect and the hotel is nice.

Wow! It was one of the absolute cheapest rooms we got for a family of three in the prime of Easter vacation, and we weren't disappointed! Location speaks for itself- amazing, saves a fortune on cabs alone. Breakfast is cheap and delicious, doubt it's possible to get a better bargain eating out early in the morning. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, sheets are tidy, and rooms don't have signs of obvious wear and tear, everything is functioning as supposed to. No cockroaches or whatever horror stories are out there about the general standard of British hotels. Lovely! If we are ever in London again, I know where we are gonna stay.

EVERYONE BE WARE!!! Their Good Night Guarantee is a LIE! Their picture of the family room and what you get are not the same or even safe! You had to enter the bed from the foot, the beds were so close to the wall, our bags were touching the bed AND the wall. We are lucky there was no emergency because trying to get out of that room would have been a nightmare. The only places to stand were by the door and in the bathroom. When brought to the front desk, "All booked. Nothing we can do. Email guest relations...they're quick to respond" I emailed them right then, haven't received a response. Called them about their Good Night Guarantee, "We don't guarantee the size of the rooms, just that there are enough beds." Their policy literally says, "At Premier Inn, we're so confident you'll have a great night's sleep that if you don't, we'll give you your money back. If there’s a problem, just have a chat with a member of our friendly reception team. They’ll be happy to put things right. This is our Good Night Guarantee" Copied and pasted.

[UPDATED REVIEW 3*] My first stay here was lovely, quick check in with a high floor room with iconic views. My second stay almost a year later was far worse. We tried the early check in, there was quite a queue and all the rooms were taken so we had to come back a few hours later. We got rooms on the 4th floor. 2 rooms were not connected and only slightly close to each other. We were told if we wanted rooms on high floors or good views we'd have to call in advance, even though this information was nowhere to be found on the booking. One of the lifts was out of order and they took ages with no indicator of progress from outside, so we mostly ended up taking the stairs. Despite that, the staff were nice and the location was still convenient. [ORIGINAL REVIEW 5*] Was in an amazing location, close to Waterloo and very near to places to eat. The room was wonderful with amazing views, I was on floor 11 and could see The Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. Amazing night life. Overall would recommend if you're staying in the area!

3 night stay - first trip for our almost 5 year old to London. Room clean and extra bed was very comfortable. Staff in restaurant (especially the Sunday evening) were excellent, as we're front of house on arrival and departure. Well located for the West End and sightseeing. Premier Inn has been my go to stay for business and pleasure for many years now - didn't disappoint this time either.

We stayed here for 2 nights in the newly refurbished twin rooms on the eighth floor. The room was great, beds comfortable and the shower was amazing after a long day sight seeing in London. The location of the hotel is the perfect, so close to the Tube station for touring London, the London Eye and London Dungeons. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast but did eat in the restaurant on the last evening, unfortunately they appeared to have some service issues which meant a long delay in getting our meal but the staff did warn us upon arrival so it was our choice to wait, and they also apologised when we paid. The food was what you expect in a Premier Inn, if you want anything more elaborate then there are plenty of places on the doorstep. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when we are next in London.

Hi sorry for the late review. We as a family would like to say a massive thank you to all staff members esp the front of house reception We stayed over the Easter weekend for our daughters 5th birthday. Wow what can I say about the staff. I phoned earlier that week explaining it was my daughters 5th birthday. Expected nothing and what actually happened from the minute we checked in we were given a lovely room with a view. Also there were balloons and sweets in the room for our little girl. Absolutely made her day and ours. The location is absolutely fantastic. We have stayed at the more expensive hotels in London. We will only be staying here from now on. Massive thank you to all the staff we had a lovely stay See you again soon

Stayed here a good while ago - apologies for the delayed review! Stayed here for the duration of our time in London. Exceptional location- everything is very conveniently located and a short walk to the Tube if needed. We stayed in the converted maternity section which was super quiet. Guessing it was well insulated from its time as a maternity hospital! Rooms were comfortable and warm - it was winter so well pleased! The restaurant was comfortable and the food nice. The prices were outstanding for London and were great when we were too tired to wander in search of a restaurant! Above all else it was the staff the made the difference. They went out of their way to be helpful and they made us feel very welcome and especially looked after our two kids. We will, without doubt stay here again when finally we can travel back to the UK!

This hotel is located in the best possible location to explore the city and whatnot. Right in the middle of waterloo and very close to the waterloo train station. They also have a restaurant downstairs but only serving breakfast and dinner. My room didn't have any view but it's a standard room. It would have been better if the beds were a little smaller in height. The desk is also a little high, so unable to work on that. All other amenities are standard. There is a free wifi and a paid wifi (5 pounds per 24 hours for a high speed net) which was helpful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Well, to start with the hotel is in a fantastic location to explore he whole of London. Approximately a 4 minute walk from Waterloo tube station, and a 3 minute walk to the London eye. We were on the 11th floor and it was honestly the quietest hotel stay we've ever had, city or otherwise. The beds were super comfy as you'd expect from a Premier Inn and towels and coffee etc replenished when asked. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. We would not hesitate in returning here and will definitely recommend this hotel to others, especially with children who need a quiet environment. The restaurant is currently being refurbished but you can use the restaurant at the Premier inn at County Hall.

Good premier Inn in fantastic location near Waterloo station and London eye. Also a few mins walk to st thomas hospital and Westminster bridge. If you get a high floor the views are good especially if you are facing north. We stayed on 7th floor Northwards and had nice views of the square and top of London eye. Their is 15 floors here and to peek over the surrounding buildings I would say you need to be above the 10th/11th floor at least. The staff are really good, the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Their is only a little bit of noise if boy racers with exhausts go by. The lifts can get busy naturally during peak times like early evening and mid mornings.

We stayed 2 nights to go to see Diana Ross in concert. Room and en-suite spotless, lovely comfy bed and extra pillows. We had a very quiet and restful stay. Complete silence at night in this location was nothing short of a miracle - but our room did face back of hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Only negative was restaurant was closed for refurbishment and windows sealed closed, which wouldn’t have been a problem but the air con seemed to need constant adjustment to stop it going off completely. Night time was a bit warm as a result. I would definitely recommend staying here.

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights. When we walked into our room, we were so disappointed. Our view was the brick wall of the building next door. Having travelled from Australia it wasn’t a great start to our London trip. The Wi-Fi in our room wasn’t great either. Yes, it might be dated compared to the next two Premier Inns we stayed in but it was clean and comfortable. I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff and the location to the attractions and train stations was excellent. If we are ever in London again, I would stay here but would request a room with at least some sort of view. The Room rating was low because of this.

A great overall break, no real complaints. The only thing we had was a couple of hiccups based on food service but rectified quick and Rasel could not have done more. The rooms were nice and clean with a real comfy bed and well appreciated aircon. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed and we're fit for purpose. Overall a great stay with great service and thank you Rasel for your great professional service.

We were on the 10th floor and the view was stunning. The breakfast and our dinner was delicious. Only downside was one of the lifts went into service for the cleaners at peak breakfast time, maybe that could be put back half an hour. The lift got stuck and I had a panic attack fortunately it was on the ground floor so when the doors opened I got out. The front desk staff were amazing and took us up to our floor with the engineer, later on we had the lovely receptionist knock on our door to see if I was ok.

Good location but room we had in the older part of the building was a little shabby. Kids beds looked a little old and worn in places. Toilet hasn't seen bleach in a while as the bottom of the pan was stained. Some tiles in the bath/shower had the odd black mould spots too. We used the restaurant on the last evening. The food was nice and good value if you used the special deal that they offered. The waiting time was ridiculous at the time we stayed though. Place wasn't exactly busy and from time of ordering to finishing our meal was approximately 1 hour.

I emailed the person who had booked it and she said no issues with the card but couldn’t get through to reception all day. I was also given meal tickets after paying the bill myself. This is positioned right next to the London eye, perfect for west bank access and for being right in the middle of London. St Thomas' hospital is round the corner, and so is parliament. Built using part of the old lying in hospital, it has history, and these facts are etched into the reception window. Nice and quiet at night ( the only thing we really heard was big Ben chiming at night. We didn't have breakfast, but some patrons were commenting on how nice it was, as we left.

The nicest premier Inn we have stayed at! Went for our daughters 4th birthday (went to see lion king) when the hotel staff found out it was her birthday they must of moved us to the room with the best view of the London eye, put balloons, chocolate, cake and sweets on her bed and left a card with a really lovely message in. The view was breathtaking (1302) and when they saw our daughter in the morning they gave her a sachet of hot chocolate. Best staff, so clean and incredible view. Great placement, good service and rooms. Not cheap. This hotel is top level for the chain it's , with a great placement, you can even see the Big Ben and the British parliament from some of its rooms. The service is attentive and well behaved. The rooms are in order and with all the basics that you need. Of course you don't have all the extras or more expensive chains, but that's okay for the type of hotel that it's. It's a bit expensive, but that's because it's at the very heart of London, and 15 minutes by tube from anywhere around.

A great place to stay for a mid week trip to London. It is well situated for most of the tourist locations, making it easy to navigate the city. The room was exactly what we needed, just a place to rest. It was a good size, clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely and helpful. We did have the breakfast, which was good value and we had no complaints. If we decide to stay in Lodnon again, this would definitely be the place we would stay.

Quiet, comfy room on 3rd floor, breakfast included full cooked range, fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, coffee, tea, muffins, juice, water, etc, etc. All good quality & well cooked. The reception Marco was very helpful when asked about late night places to eat. Room heating was only blowing cold & had to ask reception who immediately did something & heating was ok. Had to ask for second towel as only 1 provided for the two of us. Great location just 5 minutes walk from London Eye, Waterloo train station & Houses of Parliament.

Simply a great visit. We planned a last minute, end of summer visit with our grandkids. Everything went perfectly. Staff are awesome. All of them understand what it means to "be in hospitality". They are a credit to management. In search of something to critique I am left with the orange juice at an otherwise great breakfast and a slightly musty smell on the staircases. That is it. The location makes it a hidden gem. 5 minute walk to Waterloo and less to the London Eye. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay, friendly helpful staff. Room was spotless and well maintained. Windows have great view with drapers for privacy and super black out. Bed comfortable and shower excellent. This is well connected central London location but couldn’t hear much road noise at all and no train noise. The restaurant is across a public square but I didn’t use as so many other food options close by. Could hear plumbing/vent noise but this was occasional and of short duration. Would stay again.

First visit to this Premier Inn in London. Fantastic location near the London Eye and Westminster. The room was clean and tidy with a great view of the Shard. Thank goodness for the air- con that worked a treat. The staff were very friendly and we had no problem in getting extras for the in room tea tray. The only down side was that we had to go to the County Hall Hotel to eat due to refurbishment but even that wasn't a great chore.

The location is great for anyone wanting a tour around London and is next to the train station. But we sadly didn't get a great room. There was no bathtub in our bathroom, the tv was very small, and we had no view outside our window, (Couldn't even see the sky) because we were placed on the side of the building next to another. We could also hear some loud gate banging during late hours. The room was clean and very servicable, but I've had better stays in other premiere inns.

Perfect Location in the heart of Westminster Area . Min walk to so many popular spots and few station from WaterLoo tube to everywhere in central . Rooms size bit small for our liking but for the price in such location was worth it. Breakfast was very sufficient with kids eat free with every 1 paying adult ( 10£) .

Very overpriced room at £236 excluding breakfast.. Very basic room with somewhat tired furniture, air con not working, very small TV that lost its picture when moved. Only 2 teabags provided. Unable to open window the usual safety inch or so. Lifts a mess, took 15 minutes to get up to 7th floor. How on earth can they get away with it? On the plus side a very comfortable bed and good shower.

Fantastic hotel. We got home today from a 2 night stay, there was 6 of us 3 rooms and all 3 rooms were spotless, and very clean. The beds were very comfy and absolutely loved the pillows and considering buying some . Food was great We only had the breakfast and it did not disappoint. Staff very polite and helpful. Very clean hotel and its also in a great location. We are already planning put next stay here.

Hotel is located in prime location. That’s the view from top floor. But that’s the only plus. Please deep clean the place! Carpet looks like it’s never been cleaned. Rooms are super tiny, maybe that’s European standard, but for the price you pay it’s crazy tiny. Breakfast was not bad, good selection, really terrible coffee- and no cream, regular milk only

The location is great. Close to the London eye and Waterloo station so it makes getting around the city easy. By far the worst service I’ve ever seen in a hotel. You have to ask for room service, and the. If you do they don’t do anything but give you new towels. Several times I asked for room service and they didn’t get to it before the cleaners went home. Gum stuck to the wall. Very poor cleaning service

Ideal for working at the Oval, check in was slick, rooms clean and comfy, had room 101 and it has no view from the window but I'm not there to stare out of it. Bar selection was reasonable although if you want a drink pop out locally, it's a basement so not the greatest area. Breakfast was very good, hot and plentiful with friendly service.

Great place to stay as it was central to all the places was going to visit. The room was very clean and tidy. It was great in price for the place it. Would stay here again. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We could leave our luggage as we got there before check in. so we could go look around London. There was a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. If we need more tea and coffee , all we had to do is ask for some more at the main desk.

  • Heather Travels

Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Elevators can be very slow! Rooms are very small. Shower is dangerously slippery, but you can get a non-skid mat. The restaurant and bar were closed for refurbishment during our stay, which was a disappointment. Beds were pretty comfortable and a/c worked well. No place to set luggage in the room.

All we need is place to bathe and sleep, and that hotel is fit for it. Hotel loction is ferfect, 5 min from London Eye, Big-Ben, Parlament, Waterloo sttion, the workers on front desk, welcome us with great smile, and good service. The lack of refrigerator and safe in the room, impairs the stay. fit for couples and families, Accessible to people with disabilities

Stayed in London last week the rooms were small but comfortable. clean bathroom and shower. Nice view from the room. The staff were very polite helpful and nice people, even at 12 midnight when 4 of us were sat in the lobby drinking alcohol from the vending machine and having a lovely time, they even gave us ladies rolos..had a great time. Will stay there again!

Imagine not including wifi that works in the room price or at least building it in automatically since it's only £5. What a pathetically miserable attitude in 2023 where it's expected as standard. The free wifi is so poor it can't even handle the transaction to upgrade it to the working one by credit card.

Couldn't fault the staff for friendlyness or politeness. Issues with the Aircon not working, and one of the two lifts was out of action, which, when you have 14 floors of a hotel being used by just two lifts, it could take 15/20minutes to get up or down. On a positive note, breakfast was very good and a very reasonable price for London. Would stay again if issues were resolved. Thanks to the staff.

A good Premier Inn. Centrally located. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were well maintained and cleaned. Very efficient bag storage if you arrive early. Breakfast was a bit busy but still OK. Very expensive but par for the course considering timing (Xmas period) and location.

Had my second stay for business and it is in many ways a great hotel for that. Check in and out is very fast. Location is central close to a station and you can go for a quick walk to London Eye. Breakfast is very limited. It is okay, but could have been better. The rooms are great.

You know what you're getting with Premier Inn, which should be a decent night's sleep in their comfy beds. Not the case here as you could not open the windows and the temperature control system went no lower than 19 degrees, which is far too hot for me. With 3 of us in the room I reckon it was closer to 22 - nightmare!

Location is amazing but the place is very small. Their travel cot is very old and damaged so if you are traveling with babies bring your own cot. In their website they offer LAUNDRY, but in reality they don't have the service, they recommend a laundry service that its very expensive and take almost 2 days to deliver.

Checked us into a disabled access room on the first floor - even though we didn’t request it which was odd. Loud noises including creaking floorboards from the guests above, and loud sounds of running water that disturbed our night. Will not stay here again.

Its pretty clean and comfy, although standard rooms are on the small side. The service was friendly but it would have been better if they provided more towels initially, but they do give some more when asked. Great location, hotel is feeling dated compared to other Premier Inn's. Soundproofing between rooms not great either. Was woken by Waterloo testing their fire and evacuation systems but this isn't the hotels fault just very annoying so beware! However the location for a quick stay makes up for it!

Do not turn up even 10 minutes earlier than the 3pm check in. They want to charge you extra. When questioning it the two very rude Spanish women on reception said they don't care. Many better hotels to spend your money and time on. Not a good experience. Cannot recommend at all. Won't be coming back

Used this hotel twice now, once last year which was fine. Last night, not so good. In this heat the air conditioning should be working in a family room with 3 children more than just the pressure of a hand fan. Also half of the tv channels wouldn’t work. I’d use again but be aware if travelling as a family to here.

  • Marwan Moghrabi

This is ridiculous. You don’t answer the phone, you have no email contact. How can I reach you for an important matter regarding my stay at your hotel And… in 2023 a hotel in London is charging for internet, the free link is not available !!!! Where are we?! Seriously? I have to pay £5 for 24 hours internet. …

Fantastic location but pricey! Had no restaurant facilities when we visited however the room itself was a good standard, exactly as expected. £10 additional charge for early check-in was reasonable and very helpful to us. As we left, the staff offered to hold our bags for us which was a nice gesture.
