Went for pre dinner drinks last night as it was recommended by friends and we were on holiday. Cocktails were $10, although i ordered a classic margarita and asked for fresh lemon and lime instead of the lime in a bottle and was told that was $20 a cocktail size glass, whereas my friends ordered the tommy margaritas were given a larger glass with decoration and were charged only $10. They advertised that $10 margaritas were served between 7pm and 9pm, therefore because we ordered them in this time frame and i was charged $20 and they $10 then this was a disappointment. The place had a nice atmosphere with opulent furnishings and had mood music all plusses. We ordered one drink and my disabled friend went out the front for 1 cigarette and left her bag with us, she then tried to come back in to drink her first drink but was refused entry and unable to retrieve her handbag. We spent maybe 10mins there and because of this we then left. I spoke to the bouncer when leaving to ask as to why he did not let my disabled friend re-enter, he had no excuse, so i informed him that i found his discrimative attitude towards the disabled unacceptable. She was not drunk, she bought one drink and went outside and was unable to get back in and drink it. We were given no answer when we asked why? So for this...i do not recommend this venue for disabled people

Not usually a fan of these places, I think the live band more than made up for the sticky floors and long queues at the bar. The band was made up of Islanders who sing really well (although I think the music was way too loud as it had my ears vibrating and a group of us had to make tissue ear plugs). The DJ who took over on breaks from the band played great R n B songs. There's a large area for seating and carpets that absorb some of the sound but this often gets squishy from liquids. The crowd was polite, with many people trying to pass through and there were lots of couples making out everywhere! Would have been a 4 star but the music was deafening and my ears are still ringing after I left, plus sticky floors make me feel gross.

After attending on Friday evening for a work event, I probably received some of the worst service I’ve ever encountered. I normally endeavor to leave only good reviews and refrain from posting the poor ones as I understand we all have bad days and are put under pressure. However the combination of a bar tender flipping a dirty drink glass off of the bar table when asked for a clean one along with a manager that was abusive, vulgar, and disgusting is too much. If I could recommend anything less for service, it would be the press bar. Only positive was that the band was superb and created a great atmosphere. If only the staff didn’t dampen their efforts.

As a regular at The Press Club I find the venue & staff create an awesome atmosphere along with most of the Entertainment The venue has on offer. The staff have always been super friendly even when under the pump with a packed bar! Credit to the venue & staff dealing with drunken obnoxious party goers looking to cause a scene & keeping a smile on their face the whole time. A great Venue with an awesome vibe & friendly staff & management!

Eh it's more quiet compared to the other places nearby, haven't been hear since last year though. I can actually hear myself talk to people then. So I'd say this place is more suitable for introverts. (Note we do like going out with friends just when we are charged). It's better during the week as well and it's probably more quiet because of covid, just don't go out though if your sick, keep ya nasties to yourself.

This place never fails to disappoint. Drinks are expensive however they actually employ proper bar attendants who know how to make a drink. They usually have live music on which is always really good entertainment. The only criticism is the security should be choosier with whom they let through the door. The crowd there last time I went was a bit average.

An excellent entertainment venue with separate leather booths! The drummer from the Sugar Shakers plays every 2nd Thursday night with another similar band! He loves to see the audience up dancing & grooving to the vibe! Highly recommend this venue for a memorable experience!♥️♥️♥️ …

Great place for a night out. Music won't let you down if you after a good dance session. Drinks is well priced, good quality too, not watered down like in some other places. Would definitely recommend going there with a bunch of friends. Be prepared to see 5 people walk out of a single toilet cubical.

The bartender was amazing and helpful with fun recommendations for coctails to try and places to check out (other coctail bars). The design of the place is somehow cyberpunk/gothic but classic in a sense and intriguing, especially the womens bathroom. Absolutely must to check out.

Amazing sound system here, no distortion, bass is heavy yet not overpowering. Great bands play here too, I hear that Tuesday is a great night for music. A Schooner was $10, a nice IPA; very good cocktail menu, but that's not what I drink, I'm sure they are delicious though.

Had a wonderful evening at this venue. My daughter was married here. Highly recommended!!!! The venue is 1st class, the service is A1, and the staff were fantastic in assisting us with everything we required on the night and leading up to the wedding.

Such a great spot to go. Friday and saturday happy hour $10 cocktails between 7pm to 9pm. A great range of cocktails and drinks, including craft beer. Every cocktail i tried tasted amazing. Also the set-up and the furniture is very elegant.

First time attending was last night, the bar is designed so well. The bathroom (ladies) is amazing. Very pretty ambiance and loved the lounge feel. We will def be back again. Our friend suggested going and I'm so glad she did.

Amazing experience. Cocktails made by an amazing bartender named Ryan. Thanks to him we stayed for multiple beverages. The atmosphere was complemented by the music and the burlesque performers. Thank you for an amazing night.

Great cocktail bar. Regular good live music. My only criticism is the lounging area is cut off by the dance floor so when its crowded (which is will be with good booze and music) get ready to stand and dance the night away.

Amazing live music, efficient and friendly staff, in-venue smoking area for smokers, just big enough for what it wants to be, great cocktails for those who want them, and great VIP rooms for those wanting that. Great venue.

Manager threatened me with both paid security and 'off duty security' that just tried to intimidate with violence no attempt to ask to leave was made just threats against me. Horrid venue. Staff should grow up.

Nicely designed bar, and although it's been there for a few years, but it still looks decent comparing to other newer bars. The staff are really friendly and there is usually some good live band playing there.

Last weekend went to this place again since almost 6 months ago and its still pumping and bar staff are fun, great atmosphere, can chill, dance, chat, relax. Again had a great time out here thanks guys.

Visited two weeks ago, bartenders were fantastic, tried nearly every cocktail on the menu and even trialed a few new inventions! Had a ball! The Valley always delivers!

Not bad.... lighting for a private party was constantly changing...up and down. Gave me a headache. Beautiful room too, no idea why this was continually adjusted.

Good house band on alternate Saturdays. It may be a repetitive Playlist but it gets the crowd moving. No teeny boppers. A nice mix of sophistication and groove.

Fluke find, spontaous drop in that led to great drinks, staff and live music, we had a cracker night all round, was a little dusty the following day though.

The Press Club always delivers every Tuesday night with their RNB Jam Night. Such a relaxing, chilled and intimate setting to enjoy great live rnb music.
