It’s a great wine shop. It’s a mediocre wine bar. If you’re in the neighbourhood and you are looking to pick up some bottles and some nice cheese etc- you are in the right place. If you are stopping by for a glass of wine and a nibble- don’t bother. A grilled cheese and prosciutto ham sandwich will take a minimum of 25 minutes to prepare (I’ve done it 3 times) and while it is indeed a wonderful snack; the wines by the glass are average at best. I’m also unhappy with the attitude of the staff, they need ti be reminded that this is m the south loop of downtown Chiraq and NOT Williamsburg. Being camp doesn’t equate to being better than the paying customers you’re here to serve. Summary: -Delighted to have this place in my neighbourhood while I’m in town. - Frustrated by the easily remedied shortcomings. D

I'm in and out in 90 seconds and spend $50-$100 each time. I've been coming for years. Prices are 25% higher than Binny's. So why no cash accepted and why does the checkout system assume at least 18% gratuity for the cashier? One of my friends said the same thing and I did not initiate the conversation. And then the cashier quickly turns their head away (every time) during the checkout process knowing that moment is awkward for the customer since it's just free money for them. I tipped twice because I didn't know how to backout and theres that moment of feeling cheap even though I didn't receive a service at all. Quit exploiting retail guests. Stop putting people in that moment. Staff already knows its not fair. Financially not making sense anymore for routine wine buying but a decent selection...and a good date spot.

I’m new to Chicago and I visited this place last night on a whim. I was craving a glass of rose and this was the closest thing to me. Boy was I in for a treat! I had some of the best conversations with complete strangers here. Such an eclectic group of individuals with unique perspectives on everything from wine, music, and philosophy. By the end of the night all of us were drinking this amazing pino blanc which the bartender suggested! (I could drink it by the gallon with a straw!) The owner is such a gem! You can tell she loves her business and the clientele she serves. She taking over for her late husband and doing an amazing job of keeping the vibe going! By the end of the night I felt like a part of a family after meeting so many genuine people. This place is a MUST VISIT!

If you're looking for a cozy and classy place to enjoy some wine, you should check out Printers Row Wine Bar and Shop. They have a great selection of wines from different regions and styles, and you can order by the glass or the bottle. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they can help you find the perfect wine for your mood or occasion. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and they often have live music or events. You can also buy wine to take home from their shop, which has a lot of options and reasonable prices. I highly recommend Printers Row Wine Bar and Shop for anyone who loves wine or wants to learn more about it.

I'm in love from all the way down in Houston. This charming boutique has stolen my heart. Ok, so that may not be *too* hard given their business but the staff was so cool! Award for Honorary Southern Charm. We arrived 5 mins before closing but the guy behind the counter didn't rush us. We even got a little tasting of the 'official Chicago' drink Malort. While I wouldn't recommend the drink, the gesture was on par with anything this Southern gal would witness down here. Swing by next time you are in the hood and pick up a local bottle from Revolution or a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with friends. Thanks, y'all!

My wife Sherry and I had a warm welcoming experience this past week as we visited our daughter and her husband here in Chicago on Printers Row. The service was so pleasant. Kate served us each evening out on their sidewalk patio area. The choice of wines surprised us. Kate is well versed on all the selections and each night was a new refreshing experience. My wife loved the spritzer with a touch of grapefruit. We both recommend this local wine shoppe to visitors and locals looking for great service after lunch or for dinner. The Jazz club around the corner was a bonus!

Very cool, chill place to grab a glass of wine and hang out without TVs and distractions. They got a cool patio but I always prefer inside. Everything is candlelit and the friendly service is on point! Their recommendations are spot on. We said something "cool and crisp" and got a bottle of delicious-ness that you had to describe as cool and crisp. We said we were going to the movies and wanted to sneak a bottle in, what would pair with M&Ms and popcorn . Sure enough, a tart white wine paired perfectly. I LOVE you all! I would give you 10 stars if I could!

Extremely disappointed in this establishment. Not sure if it was my race (black) or age (30s) that warranted neither of the two men in the shop to welcome us when we came in to look for wine. There was a white older couple whom they both stared at and talked to all while eating their pizza and drinking wine. Neither bothered to look our direction, speak to us or offer any assistance as we walked through the shop. We live in south loop and just got back from napa so were very excited to continue to explore wines. But clearly not here. Shame.

The store manager did not allow me to redeem my points I have earned for shopping in this store for over 2 years. Reason: The bottle of wine was $0.13 too *cheap*. Quote: "Rules are rules my friend". It was the wine we always bought in this store for the last two years. But to "earn" $15 you have to spend $15, and our favorite bottle of wine was just $14.87. I wouldn't be surprised if immigrations officers are more flexible with passport expiration dates than this store is with its "reward" program. PS. First review of my life

One of the gems of Printer's Row. Having gone from a pharmacy to wine shop and now with a full service wine bar, this a local favorite . Every neighborhood wishes they had a place like this. Printer's Row wouldn't be the same without it. You night find a bigger selection in the mega stores, but everything in the place has a spot on the shelf or in the cooler for a reason. When you're ready to ditch the sports bar, cone socialize with the dedicated staff and locals in a proper social setting.

I have had the privilege to watch this place grow and expand over the last few years and the people there are super nice and helpful every time I walk in, and it is my go to for whenever I'm in need of some delicious wine either for myself or to give as a gift! Recently they have started a wine bar haven't tried it yet but really excited too go an check it out soon!

Amazing wine bar near the loop, with a rotating selection of pours by the glass. I appreciate the combination of better and lesser known varietals/regions as well as the reasonable prices (always something $12/glass of less, which is becoming rare unfortunately). The bottle shop selection also is very wide, though I haven't purchased anything from them yet.

Printers Row is the closest place to me that carries mead from B. Nektar so I make the trip up from NWI and it's totally worth it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Protip: they offer a bag for $5 bucks that has dividers so you can take beer with you without the bottles moving and clanging around. Every time you bring it back, it gives you 10% off your beer or wine purchase. It's worth it if you plan on going a lot which I do.

  • Corey Brashinger

You will never be disappointed or leave empty-handed. In fact, just try and stick to your ‘I’m just getting one bottle’ promise to yourself. Plus, they do reward points so really you’re paying yourself forward. But don’t stop at wine because they have a well curated selection of beer, ciders, coffee, cheese, liquor and mixers. I literally can’t go more than a few days without visiting.

  • Sarah Johns

Love the store and the owner. But the last 5/6 times we’ve gone There the associate who runs the till and manages the shop doesn’t talk to us, and when asked a question gives one word answers and shoved a wine in our face. We’re there to explore wine and we trust them. But having no dialogue and not even being allowed to enter our phone number for our rewards points sucks pretty hard.

  • Lugond Rosal

My workmates and I went to this shop last week, and we greatly have fun. The ambiance was cool, clean, and not crowded. Also, the staff that entertained our order at that time was very nice, entertaining, and careful. The wines and beers that we ordered were all very good and OK. Eventually, we left there with a smile and realization. Till next time! Thanks!

A wine shop with a delightful bar & many options to choose from. There is a $15 uncorking fee but they do also serve by the glass or by a carafe. The cheese board was delicious and easily split between two people.

An excellent selection of natural wines raises the bar on a collection of wines from across the globe. Their bar is a calm spot to enjoy a glass. Olives are tasty. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Always happy to talk a noob through the selections. I noticed their collection of gin is expanding, looking forward to seeing some rare gins up there.

Wanted to grab some wine after a day at the museum. Google this place and walked right in. Love the vibes and ambiance as its low key. We were instantly greeted by one of the workers, who gave us different wine options. They have everything you want to drink or try. Now, this is our go-to wine bar. Highly recommend you stop by and grab a glass.

  • Leah Tibbs

Really nice atmosphere. Dim lighting, old wooden floors, tin ceiling, lots of wine and other select alcoholic beverages. You can order from the menu (QR Coded) or purchase a bottle off the shelves with an additional uncorking fee. High tops, table tops and low armchairs are all seating options. Great for a solo trip or a small group.

  • Meredith Moody

Earlier today, I bought a bottle of wine from this store, and I enjoyed the taste of it. It was really enjoyable and tasty. In addition, the waiter who served my order was really polite and nice. The location was also tidy, not crowded, and comfortable. I'll definitely buy another bottle of wine here next time. Many thanks to you!

  • Colleen Ramos

Nice setting, delicious wines, competent and polite workers. What more should I think about this wine store. When they had everything that I wanted. The bottles of wine I bought from here were so damn delicious. This wine shop is great if you want to sit, rest and enjoy a glass of wine. I can't wait to visit this store again.

I moved into the neighborhood in the summer of 2020 and no place makes me happier than this one right here. Such a great and varied wine offering with some solid beers and other liquor. The bar is fantastic if you're looking for a quiet night in and the patio is perfect in the summer. Also, Mason is hands-down the best.

  • Lainey Canevaro

Shop local and support small business! The Wine Shop is a must stop for wines, beer and spirits. The owners live in the neighborhood and make an extra effort to host tastings and events for customers. You can catch live music and tastings most Fridays and always find a little something to take home.

  • Fiza Crossley

What a nice surprise. I heard good things about this bar. I had never been there until recently. Now, I try and stop in whenever I can. Not only do I enjoy their alcohol, but interesting people seem to be there talking about alcohol and foods, particularly about local wines.

  • Chris Krolczyk

Good, varied selection of everything from fine wines to craft brew and cider. Has tastings on a regular basis, though I've never been lucky enough to make one. Warning: not cheap by any means, but if you've got the scratch chances are you'll find something you'll like.

  • Water Chasers

We love this local establishment so much: The staff is always helpful whether with wine suggestions or serving you, the selection is always eclectic and enlightening, and the setting within this classic building only adds to the ambience! One of our go-to places.

This is my local wine shop and I am so glad that it is right in my neighborhood! They often have free wine tastings, which is great and the staff is always willing to help you out. Great selection of all types of wines at a wide range of prices!

  • Brian Gallagher

My only beef with Printer's Row Wine Shop is the prices, which are very high. They have a great beer selection--beer is my thing, you see--and I'm very happy about that. Nice staff once you get to know them. Very glad to have them in my 'hood.

  • Kelli Nakagama
