Was there yesterday, was surprised about how noisy it was. I was in the first floor where there were many people like me trying to study, however, people from staff talking very loud, not in a tone of voice considering the people studying! I even could here the laughing and talk coming from them in the stairs and ground floor. Even one of them had a meeting with some event organizar just behind me, very frustrating trying to study when you hear very loud all the organisation of the event, if they want food or not! Hope they can get an office to hold those meetings and keep a low voice considering the rest of us!! Add on: just saw your response! ‍♀️ If staff wants to talk loud or hold meetings they are the ones who should do it in an office don't you think so? I understand libraries are quiet places where everyone goes to study or read, normally could be a bit of noise from users who don't understand the concept I totally get it, it couldn't be complete quiet! But the noise coming from staff? Don't you guys are trained about this basic concept? Usually staff are the ones helping to keep the place quiet! Isn't? I have studied in other libraries in Adelaide and it seems to me that your library is the only one that if you want to be able to study need to hire a private space! How many private spaces are there? Two or three? Even more disappointed!! Certainly not recommended!!

I really like the building. I like the loft area with tables to study and nice fresh modern design. I really like what's been done with the building. Temperature control inside is great. BUT It is VERY LOUD and roudy. Due to all the hard floors and tall ceilings the sound of people speaking loudly from the reception area amplified through the entire space. Having a mixed multiple use space wasn't a good idea.. having an art area and shared use building doesn't make a good enough separation from the library. It is still noisy near the private rooms and I wouldn't bother trying it study in there as it's just muffles the noise rather than blocking it out. I'm sure the staff are pleasant but I really wouldn't know seeing as I go to libraries for a quiet place to study, not talk. I've visited many libraries and never have I ever been to a library this loud.. not even a child's library in a school. I personally won't be back because it isn't at all suitable for me to study or read at all. I do however think this would be a wonderful library for Children and they won't bother anyone because it's already loud.

Library and study areas meant to be used by public. We deserve to study or do other activities in a quiet or at least in a reasonable environment. But, apparently the council has converted this space as their office and mass-meeting place. Don’t you have your own working and meeting space? Also, few staff make nose while walking on hard floor with probably metal-bottom shoes. Don’t consider at all that people are focusing on their study. I suggest the council, please find your own place for meetings or provide us alternative space so that we can study quietly. Thanks.

I recently moved to the Prospect area. As an avid reader I thought it was time to join the local library. So for 2 days I drove up and down Prospect Rd looking for a library sign. I then parked and walked along to 128. Here I found a sign in a strange language but no library sign. Then I saw a man come out with books and he told me this is the library.. I asked the desk girl why no LIBRARY sign & she said it was a council decision. Once inside I found the books are not categorised just shelved alphabetically. So pathetically lazy all round and so disappointing.

Contemporary library with avantgarde design. I wish it had more individual studying areas, though. Second floor is the area to study, however it's all in each other, no privacy and can be noisy sometimes. Instead of having big round table upstairs which is not much used, the area can be turned into silent room in which there are individual tables with privacy partition to study.

Absolutely amazing place. One of the best libraries to be visited. The interiors, the arrangements, the automated services, yet to see more. The art gallery is a class apart, well curated pieces of art on display every time. Don't forget to take a glimpse of the massive moving art installation suspended from the ceiling. More after the next trip..

A great space. This is not a quiet library, it's one to be lived in and utilised. The children's area 'Kardiwardli' is full of colour. The main walls are painted by Elizabeth Yanyi Close and is called 'Emu Feathers', commissioned in 2019. There is also an iPad and laptop hiring facility which I've never come across before.

I really like this library. I only visit for the JP services for my job, but I look forward to coming here and browsing the books. I always find something to potentially read. I also enjoy the little art gallery and seeing the art change every time I visit. It is also quite clean and so nice & modern. Pleasant experiences.

Great new building with many public facilities for work, recreation and community engagement. It is unfortunate that library stocks of physical goods appear to reduce each year, but it is good to see the council is working hard to ensure that the library's facilities stay contemporary.

Payinthi is a great new location for the library. It has a lovely area for art exhibitions and is nice and modern. It has a ramp at the entrance and disabled toilet for accessibility. The toilets are very modern and the entrance way to them is nicely decorated with a mural.

I have visited the library since day one and it really is spectacular. When you come from other countries, what seems normal to all local people, it is spectacular for us to see the correct use of taxes in an infrastructure that benefits
