It’s a bit over a year after my first 5 star review of the staff at this place, and I want to add an update for the above and beyond service I received from Cheyenne and Niecey last month. After a long day of moving that ran late, I showed up near closing to find I had the wrong key for my lock. I figured I was screwed, at least for the day, but Niecey was totally sympathetic and willing to call Cheyenne on her DAY OFF to see if she could come saw the lock off. Cheyenne was there in literally 5 minutes, and I was totally saved from having to leave two cars full of boxes and rugs parked on the street overnight. Niecey stayed late so I could rush the last few items to my storage space.i just appreciated this SO much. I was able to buy a new lock on the spot at a reasonable price, another bonus. I was blown away by their kindness and personal service. Like, who does this? I could not have imagined getting this level of help - but I did! Thank you again, ladies! You really saved my day. Previous review: I used the website to reserve a space here, and received exemplary service first on the phone, and then in person with Cheyenne, the onsite rep. She was so personable and lovely, and provided everything I needed with a super fast turnaround time. I reserved on the web around 5pm on a Friday, and she called back right away. I was moving my stuff in less than 24 hours later. If only everything could be this easy. It’s rare to find this level of responsiveness in businesses of this nature - I highly recommend!

This storage facility is WITHOUT A DOUBT the best of its kind in the entire Bay Area. Now I obviously haven’t been a customer to every storage place in the area but I have rented from 5 or 6 and I never had a good experience at any of them to say the least. This Public Storage, however, totally rocks! It’s always super clean, it’s never too busy where I can’t find a cart or get through the hallways and I always receive a warm welcome and some nice conversation from the property manager Cheyenne! She has a great attitude and an even better work ethic, which in my opinion result in a perfectly run facility. Public Storage would be much better off as a company if they had a “Cheyenne” overseeing each of their properties. Cheers and keep up the great work!!

I sold my home in Hayes Valley in late 2019 and needed a place to store a substantial amount of my personal goods. I reviewed a number of different storage places and was pleased to find this location. I spoke with the person working there, Cheyenne, who was friendly and helpful. It helped I got a good deal. I ended up being there a number of months longer than I expected due to the pandemic, but I was always pleased with their friendliness and service. It was also fun connecting with Cheyenne again as I exited. Nice to have some consistency in who is helping you. I realize these places are franchises and my expectations were set accordingly, but I always felt like they were professional and my stuff was safely stored.

I rented a unit here online without touring the facilities first - big mistake. After making my first visit to move in, I decided to abandon my unit and inquire about a refund, which they denied. Security seems very poor; the unit had a very thin sheetmetal roll-up door that seemed to have been broken into before. The whole door could be moved sideways to bypass the lock. Aside from the sketchy facilities, I was verbally threatened by another renter on my first entry because he was blocking the entrance and one of the employees asked him to move his vehicle. I rented another unit at a different nearby self-storage and am much more satisfied with the facilities and experience.

It was a bit shocking to learn that rental rates at PS increase occasionally and by significant amounts. The hall door openings are narrow for a place who's chief purpose is to be able to move items through to/from storage units. ...Security feels high, the place is pretty clean and the timed hall lighting is bright enough (but bring your headlamp for working in your unit). ...Ana is the epitome of excellent customer care. She is always friendly and helpful, remembers people by name which is pretty great and she has been very clear in explaining any policy question we have including billing concerns. Five stars for her!

Staff is super good, but the big company does hostage rents, which Cheyenne doesn't control. It starts off good, but then it increases way too much. We started at $131 for a 5x10, which over four years they jacked up to $196, which is a 50% increase. By comparison our other locker at City Storage went up 11% over that time. And the Public Storage website is now offering our same 5x10 unit to new tenants at $116, way below our $196. The Company knows it costs a lot to move, and they use that. Also, it's not a nice as other facilities, including having hollow core doors on small units.

I happen to love this storage. The location isn't extra busy, so you don't feel rushed or like you're in the way. The property manager here is amazing! So helpful and really takes pride in her job. Her pleasant and welcoming demeanor always adds some cheer to our visits. The guy is rude though. Goes out of his way to be LESS helpful. Try to wrap your mind around that. He should lighten up and recognize that customers are the only reason he has a job. But other than him, I couldn't be happier. 4 stars, 5 when he decides to make a contribution.

I had a great experience with this Public Storage because of one person. Ana, who worked there the entire year I rented a unit, was seriously one of the most amazing customer service people I've ever worked with. It's not often that someone just makes everything easier no matter what, but she does. My experience was always better because of her. Thank you Ana for all of your help, great advice, saving me money and just being such a great person in general. I hope all good things come back to you!

I chose Public Storage because of its excellent reputation. Also, location is ideal for my needs. It was a very easy process, from beginning to end. I worked with Cheyenne, who was incredibly helpful. When I arrived to book the unit, she told me everything I needed to know about the storage. The whole registration and storage process was smooth and enjoyable. Thank you, Cheyenne. I felt I make a new great friend! Also, the property is clean and secure. I’d highly recommend this storage to anyone.

If you have read any reviews for this place, you've probably read about Esther. She deserves all of the accolades she receives and more. I rented a parking space and was having an issue with the individual who parked next to me who was taking up more than their space. Esther was able to help me resolve the issue and was also a delight to work with. She's super friendly, knowledgable, and all around just a wonderful human. Public Storage is so lucky to have her on their team. Thank you, Esther!

Their are a few good things I'd like to mention at this Public Storage Location. It is one of two PS locations on the Peninsula that has gate hours till 9pm every night. And second, the parking lot is big enough that you'll never have to wait for a space. The staff is nice and there until 6pm. And, they helped me upgrade my unit to a larger one when they noticed a good price. Had Vince not mentioned staying at the same location and getting a larger unit I would have moved. Thanks.

I recently started using Public storage this month and was surprised by the service I received. In the past I’ve had many problems with storage companies and the security of my items being stored. The manager on site, a man named Buddy made sure he went above and beyond to make sure I felt reassured and safe that my storage unit was in great hands. Very professional and excellent customer service. Defiantly would recommend this place if you live in or stay close to San Francisco.

Ana, the property manager, is fantastic. She's incredibly friendly and goes out of her way to be helpful. When the space I'd reserved didn't end up working for me (the upper level hallway was too narrow for my bulky armchair to get through), she personally drove me to the other Public Storage space nearby, since I'd been dropped off and didn't have a vehicle. Talk about top-notch customer service! I'd feel very comfortable storing things here, knowing they were under Ana's care.

Thank you Cheyenne! She made everything easier every step of the way. Was the perfect solution when I had to move out of my San Francisco apartment with only a 24 hour notice due to covid. It's close to the city and easily accessible most hours of the day once you get set up with a gate code. Move out was a breeze too. Cheyenne even had my confirmation and receipt emailed to me before I drove out of the gate the last time. The $1 for the first month was great too.

Cheyenne is possibly the most helpful person I’ve ever had experience with in the customer service industry. Not only did she exceed our expectations, she took our main concerns personally when helping us with our unit. She is what makes this location so great! She has an awesome personality, she was a HUGE help and she didn’t think twice about taking care of my girlfriend and I. We would definitely be lost without her! Thanks again, Cheyenne! ‍♀️

The location at Marin st San Francisco was amazing, very helpful and easy access to my locker. Carts were easy to grab and use at my own will. The property manager (Cheyenne) was very kind and helpful. Sounds like public storage is treating her appropriately judging off of her attitude about life and working there. Josh and Vince at this location are the most helpful guys I know. They will bend over backwards to make sure your request comes through. The facility is great for loading and unloading my 17 foot Bobtail !! The facility is also very close to Freeway access making it very convenient whether traveling in any direction. I cannot express my gratitude enough on the superior job that Josh and Vince do. Most Excellent A++++

I'm a college student and being from So Cal I brought a lot of things up with me. All of it wasn't going to fit in my apartment so I needed a place to store it. I looked around but nothing within my price range until I went to public storage. I got there and a gentleman, Vince showed me around and he was great. He found me one in another location that was within my budget. I would definitely recommend coming here.

I just want to give Esther a shout out. I encountered some issues during my process and she was incredibly kind and helpful. This was one of my most stressful moves yet and without Esther i’m not sure what I would have done. Thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. kind and helpful manager, convenient accessible area, clean and safe facility. moving out was super easy. cheyenne was particularly accommodating while we stored here during covid. hours could be expanded a bit as the location closes early (bankers hours) and there is no on site disposal or recycle but everything else about this storage was awesome. thank you so much for everything cheyenne! ⚡️

Claudia took the time to walk me around the property and show me different storages sizes. She was very polite and quick. The paperwork was done in a few minutes. At a later time Anna the manager introduced herself and made me feel welcome. Great people working behind the desk. Price for the sotage was below some other places I checked on line. I do recommend this place for your extra storage needs.

I called late around 1:30pm to get my emergency stuff stored and let a message. Niecey called back before even I shut the phone off. She was very professional and got me a time to come on I reached there a bit late, but she took few minutes out her lunch time to provide me with state of the art professional customer service. I came in to shop for prices on storage, I was greeted by the brothers that run the property. Eddie and Josh were very helpful, they showed me a couple of units that fit my budget. They were very honest and straight forward about prices and even suggested alternate solutions to my storage needs. I ended up not needing storage but if I ever do I will definately come see Eddie and Josh.

I didn't have this storage long but for the time that I had it, Josh and Vince were very helpful and considerate in helping me with creating and closing my storage unit. They were also very helpful when I forgot my password a couple of times. There was room for me to load my stuff into the unit. Carts were always available when I came. It's not very cheap but it was convenient.

Esther is hands-down one of the best service representatives (from any company) that I've ever experienced. I moved in during a torrential downpour, I needed help renting a larger unit last-minute, and my gigantic moving truck caused logistical challenges. Esther deftly helped me resolve my challenges and made the move-in experience as enjoyable as it could have been.

Cheyenne is great. I didn't have much time to move but was able to connect on the phone and get an immediate hold on a unit. I had all my questions answered on the phone and onsite. I got shown my unit and explained the rules. I got such personalized service (Cheyenne made sure I got my truck through the gate and found my unit acceptable). Thank you!

The manager at this location is the best! She truly cares about the people who rent at this location. She knows everyone that steps foot on the property and will do whatever she can to accomodate and help you. This location is very safe and secure.The facility is unbelievably clean (even the bathrooms) Parking is readily available on and off site.

I cannot speak highly enough of Cheyenne. She was extremely helpful to me while I was moving out of San Francisco and needed a place to keep some stuff. She helped make an otherwise stressful move as streamlined as possible, and went above and beyond my expectations at every opportunity. I'd look forward to being able to work with her again.

Well, moving cross country is an incredibly difficult experience, but the folks at Public Storage has made it easy on both ends: Florida and California. The fact that I have vintage musical instruments gives me a real incentive to use the best and I have faith in these folks, obviously. Good company, all around and highly recommended

Five stars for Eric. I was away for three months, and through some error my card wasnt charged while I was away, and a lien was put on my space. Eric was so helpful in resolving the lien and making sure I got my stuff out of the space safely. Eric obviously cares a lot about his job and making sure the customers are taken care of.

Niecy has been a lifesaver! I have had to rent units twice under tight timelines. She has been very helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. I appreciate this level of customer service, especially during a stressful situation with little time to secure my belongings. I highly recommend this location and Niecy's service.

It might be raining outside but Esther made moving in all sunshine and rainbows. Even though I had all the information about moving in, she was more than happy to walk me all the way to my unit, show me how to open it, and put on the lock. Since it's San Francisco, parking lot is too small. I hope I never have to drive a large truck in there. Access hours are a pain if your workday doesn't end before 5 or 6 pm. I really appreciate that the bathroom is generally open and well maintained.

You need to use the app to unlock the gate and activate the elevator which would be fine except the app is slow/laggy.
