This was such a beautiful area to walk and stroll. Amazing combination of historical buildings, quaint restaurants and cute shops. Although be aware some of the shops are definitely touristy and their prices are set accordingly. Still you can find little treasures here that you may not be able to find anywhere else. Keep an eye out for the artists alley where you can browse artwork from local artists. The funicular is nearby so if you're tuckered out from a long day of walking, you can always hit a ride on it back to the upper city. Recommend giving yourself several hours destroy and enjoy and take in this area. It's perfect if you have some individuals who are interested in history, and others who are mainly interested in shopping.

We arrived by ferry and it was a pleasant trip across the St. Lawrence River. Once there we were totally in awe of this beautiful and historic city. Firstly we walked along the boardwalk and around La Citadelle de Quebec to get a sense of the history. We then made our way back to Quartier Petit Champlain where we walked around took in more history and enjoyed looking at the beautiful buildings. Also a ride on the funicular between the upper and lower towns with views of the city is worth it. We then decided to have lunch, to many options. We decided to eat at Sapristi Champlain where we enjoyed a nice meal and several drinks. Overall we had a great time and we wish we could have stayed longer.

It's a tourist area, but a lovely one. It's only a single street and not very long, but this little street is full of life and has an old European feel about it. It's full of historical buildings, paved with cobblestones that is only traveled by pedestrians, and has many interesting boutiques. You'll pay tourist prices for things here, but for some things, it may still be worth it to get something truly unique. This is a fantastic place to have a stroll even if you don't want to buy anything, just to experience the place. There are some restaurants as well, of course, if you're in the mood, most with patios. Highly recommend anyone to visit here if you're in Quebec City.

As you stroll through the streets of the Petit-Champlain district and Place Royale, not only will you be transported to a bygone era, but you'll also be serenaded by the enchanting melodies of street musicians. The lively notes fill the air, adding a touch of magic to this already captivating setting.

This is a great area with a ton of history. There are a number of stores, restaurants and old buildings to explore. We came for the day and spent about six hours wandering around. As others had stated it reminds me of old Europe with the architecture and cobble stone streets. The day we were there it was very quiet and not crowded at all. Parking was easy on the street. However, if the crowds had picked up I can see it being a challenge. Make sure you go up the hill and see the Fairmont, church and other buildings. It is also a nice walk along the pier. Enjoy!

It's a lovely street which makes you feel you are walking on the streets of Europe. The stone cobbled streets, architecture, is amazing. The people are really friendly. There is a lift to get down from the Fontenac, charges $3.50 for a ride. It has many shops serving souvenirs, food and other items. It's a nice walk, lastly we went towards the old port and there's a splash pad for children and that was very refreshing, lot of views of the river.Lastly Please like my review if it was helpful. Dating back to the 17th century, the Petit Champlain street is the oldest commercial artery in North America. Quartier Petit Champlain counts today more than 47 shops, restaurants and cafes. The street will make you feel like you’ve landed in a fairytale. The street is snugged along the base of Cap Diamant in Old Québec’s lower town. Close to the banks of the Saint-Lawrence River, and a short walk from the Québec City cruise port, as well as the marina in Old Port.

Historic (and hilly) street filled with boutique shops and restaurants. Quick trip down the various stairs from the fort or the old quarter. Alternatively take the funicular up or down to the boardwalk next to the Chateau Frontenac. Less crowded in the evenings for shops, but in the evening and on weekends you can expect long lines for restaurants. Prices are around the same throughout the area for food, roughly $18-30CAD per person at the time of this writing.

This is a must-go spot when you visit Old Quebec! The alley is so beautiful and interesting to walk around and enjoy. So many photogenic spots that I love. There is also the famous red door from the famous Korean drama Goblin that you can find here. I was lucky to go at a time that it wasn’t crowded. After I took tons of photos, there was a line former to take photo with the red door. This is a memorable time for me to travel with my beloved family.

Quebec City is just a fantastic place to visit. So much to do. Including Quartier le Petit Champlain. The funicular is fun to go through, and there are so many little restaurants that taste a lot better than one might expect. There was this one ice cream area I ate at that had the best ice cream, unfortunately in very small quantity. Le lapin saute is fantastic. I highly recommend having this in your list of places to go in Quebec.

Quiet night walking around Quartier Petite Champlain. Loving to see very beautiful historical buildings and architectures. After 9PM mostly stores closed seem to have no one live there but actually many resident lives in second or third floor. Talked to one of musician who was walking back to his home, the building nearby. I wish I could go back and enjoy the lower town during the day. Probably gives different vibe and more life.

Thriving historical center, with an impressive variety of shops, galleries, artisans and restaurants. Atmosphere plus! Very friendly, hospitable area. Beautiful shopfronts and live music. Be prepared for lots of walking, stairs, and waits at restaurants. This area can get very crowded, but seems to quiet down early. Business stay open later into the evening which is an interesting time to visit.

Very nice ambiance. A must go place for tourists so it can get quite busy depending on what season you're going. There are a lot of little shops in this quartier where you can all sorts of souvenirs (from clothes to shoes to little accessories) and artists on the street playing music and adding to the special atmosphere of the area. The quartier is not that big so definitely walkable.

awesome place and must visit....ppl who love good food, drinks and shopping...this is a perfect place to spend the evening...there is a place called Mary's popcorn that has amazing popcorn....we tried cheddar cheese and salted that was awesome...other flavors too ...parking is expensive $20 after 4pm until 6am. street parking also available but no place to park and expensive.

Such an awesome visit to Old Quebec City... The culture the architecture, shops, food and patios... Either shop around & sip on wine and stroll the streets...there is so much to see...once you get walking you will not want to stop. Find a parking spot during busy times can be an adventure just park comfy shoes sweater and umbrella if needed knapsack and go enjoy the beauty!

Quite a few visits here but never as busy as this weekend. The place was packed and some streets were closed for renos so a bit of dust here and there. Always lovely to see the little stores or restos and all the options. I do find some of the stores very pricey but I am sure they are tailored to different customers

When you are in Quebec City,take a little stroll down this artsy street to escape into European city vibes. A very enjoyable walk down this cobbled street while enjoying many shops, restaurants and local musicians... Do not forget to walk down the famed break neck stairways or take a ride of the funicular.

Had a great time walking through here several times. Lots of cute little stores for shopping. We enjoyed drinks, meals, treats, and lots of photos. All at different times. (Morning, afternoon, and evening). Amazing architecture and murals in, and around. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Old Quebec.

Excellent place. I can say it’s a mini Europe in Quebec City. Great Petit shops and great restaurants. You can spend time day time and evening time. You can take funicular for $3.50cad. City view is very nice. You should defintely see this place. My wife and I enjoyed every second in Quebec city.

So many shops and pubs to go into. The streets and buildings are a gorgeous part of history , and the people are very friendly. The view of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac is absolutely gorgeous. We can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer, Bring a good pair of walking shoes

This is a charming little town (basically a Christmas town) with some really interesting shops, many of them selling locally made products for pretty high prices. It's absolutely worth a visit. Take the funicular back up the hill when you're done I'm order to save your legs a lot of work.

This is a beautiful street in the lower town of Quebec City that resembles European cobblestone streets. There are many local shops and restaurants to check out. This street is accessed from the upper town by either a stairwell, sloped connector street, or the funicular.

So many wonderful shops and Old Quebec is renewed and absolutely beautiful! This one small road is pedestrians only and always remember to look up, so much architecture that can be missed, as well as ALWAYS go down side streets, you never know what lil gem you'll find!

On this charming street, I heard captivating music. Thanks to the artist's performance. The decor of each shop is so exquisite, tempting for impulse purchases. It's a street that stays in memory, more fitting for revisiting than constantly searching for a better one.

This quarter has beautiful streets with ships and restaurants that not only will transport your back in time but also bring you to Europe. Everything is picturesque, so the only complain is that it's too small. This street is a must see if your come to Quebec.

Once upon a time there was the most enchanting street in all of Quebec City …. What a beautiful cobblestone street this is! I could have stayed here all day enjoying the shops, music and food! Simply enchanting and all of the other magical words!

To reach the lower town you either take the funicular from the Dufferin terrace for 5 CAD one way/per person (the entrance is located inside the glass square houses right near the statue - don't forget to press on the door to access this

Impeccable Christmas experience. Charming historic venues and buildings with an abundance of restuarants, ships and galleries..and of course, the beautiful lights. Can't think of a better place to visit in Canada during the holidays.

Beautiful street with aged building and church, artist paint shows the history of this Rue, there are couple huge Wall paint actually, but have a 5mins walk distance so some time people might miss the second one by the street

This little street is very cosy. Restaurants and shops on the sides. Best if come in Christmas cuz the light decorations make the place more beautiful. There's a short cable car ride, some large paintings also.

Great location to shop in Old Quebec. Just a 10 minute walk and funicular ride down to the street. We found many intrecate ixe sculptures during the ice festival in February.
