Feeling this location doesn’t have the right staff training or proper management. My experience showed multiple levels of failures over the past few visits. Recent example would be today, went to buy a foam water pipe insulator and a few other items. There was 6 boxes of pipe insulators, all of them were not stocked and empty expect for one. I took the item to the self checkout and the UPC code didn’t scan. I pressed the help button and noticed the cashier that was managing the self checkout was also causing other clients. Person after person was being checked out, no response from the cashier. I approached the cashier and asked if she could help me. She simply cleared my order and said try again. That wasn’t helpful as the same thing happened. UPC would not scan for one item. She then came over the the self Checkout did t know how to signin as an employee and then started to hit the handheld scanner a few times and say I don’t know what’s wrong with this machine. She then asked me three times in a row if I would like to remove the item from my basket as it won’t scan. I told her no I would really like to buy it. I repeated this until she called someone over to do a price check. When the gentlemen came back from the price check he handed her the code and she continued to check out person after person. I interrupted her and said I’ve been waiting and I think you should finish my transaction first, she said she had a line of people to check out. I told her I want to speak to a manager and she immediately changed her tune and apologized and scanned the item and I went to pay. As I walked out I looked at the receipt and she double charged me on one of my items. I walked back to her and asked her to resolve it and she said I had to go to customer service. I explained this situation to them and it seemed to go no where. Although this location is closer to me then the Home Depot, I don’t have 45 mins to deal with the lack of training or poor customer care. Sorry won’t be coming back here.

It was an amazing experience when I visited Lowe's Home Improvement on Tue Aug 22, 2023. I was looking to get help with someone to be fixed drywall opening in my basement; I met with Dan (Dany) and discussed the problem. He right away advised me to buy plywood panel, I told him, I have 2 sizes to cover the drywall openings, and if he can help me cut to the length plywood, he said it is not a problem and did for me. I took the pieces of the plywood and checked if they're okay to cover the drywall openings. I found it was perfect. Next day on Wed Aug 23, 2023 I went again with my son to see Dan (Dany) if he can find us the right drywall screws and told him that I am trying to fix the problem by myself at home. Further, told him what is the right screws supposed to go through plywood panel, drywall and the metal frame. Amazingly, he found the best screws for us. Now we discussed another problem, if he can help to find the right solution for the repair of outside gutter corner as water leaks from their, during rain and after the snow melts. He advised and showed prototype corner of the gutter, to me and my son and gave us ''Costing Portable Robber'' (Like Silicon). Properly demonstrated us how to apply to get rid of that problem. we were very happy so we bought couple of other things from the same location. Last but not the least, he is a very professional, experienced and humble guy, perhaps I met in my life. I used to live close to this location since last 18 years. normally used buy most of the stuff from other locations but now palnned to buy from Lowe's at Mavis. In fact Lowe's need professional, experienced and humble guys like Dan (dany) to improve Customer Service and ultimately in turn their business too. My advice to owner, don't miss Dan, you don't know what vital role he is playing to increase your business and the customer satisfaction. Arif Khan

Hello my loyal Google readers. I had the worst Thursday ever just because I entered Lowes Home Improvement located on Mavis. I needed to purchase a vent as I am upgrading my Condo Bathroom. I found a nice one that is powerful and quiet for a great price as it was advertised. Got to the cash-out and it scanned in higher than I saw. Gurpreet the cashier called an associate to go check out what price was listed. The associate agreed with us to charge us the price that was listed. Gurpreet had an issue with that and started talking aggressively putting her hands up and walking away. I told her she should not be in customer service with an attitude like she had. Another associate approached Gurpreet who referred to my husband and I as those people. I told her she had no right to call me those people when her skin tone was similar to mine as I am from Jamaica . When the manager arrived he automatically took her side and told me people say things and not mean it. I told him that is unexpectable and that clearly respect and standards have gotten lowered over all stores hiring people who just want to do to minimum and collect a paycheck. I advised Gurpreet I would do a review on her then she tried to be nice and said my best friend is black like me. Like lol is she serious? When someone is called out they always come back and say I have lost of black friends. I guess racism is still out in full effect at Lowe's on Mavis. One thing I am proud of is that I did not allow Gurpreet to DRAW ME OUT AS A PROUD BLACK WOMAN. GOD YOU SAVED ME.

The staff are generally very nice, but something needs to be done about having everyone properly trained. I went in there over 3 weeks ago to order blinds/shutters and I had my measurments. I decided to go with shutters and agreed to have a professional come and do the measurements as i rounded down 1/4 inch if i chose blinds. I got a rough estimate of the cost for the shutters but the process took more than 3 hours! And i paid for the professional to come measure and would have to come back to get the exact quote for the shutters and installation. The guy came over 2 weeks ago did the measurements and told go to lowes after a couple of days...well i went there 5 days later and no one had any idea what i was talking about. They pulled my file and saw the measurements from the contractor, so we started the whole processes there again and after 45 min, but started to have system issues. I had to leave as i needed to get ready for work. I was expecting that they enter my phone number and have a quote ready and i would pay and wait foe the installation. I asked them to have it ready and all me...its been more than 10 days and still no call...i was hoping my shutters would be installed by now as its been almost a month since my initial day i went in and i have not heard back from them and spent over $145 for the measurement and nothing...i am pretty upset and not sure what i need to do next

Started a long journey at this Lowes location. They are using the self check-outs almost exclusively. If a customer has a choice, they would rather wait in a long line then to use these self check-outs. The one I used on Dec 22, 2022 glitched. It processed my CC but gave no receipt. When I requested help, they told me there was no transactions reported that day. So I went to the customer service to purchase my stuff. I got my CC statement and was billed both times. This started a long process in trying to get back the money owed to me. The online department responded to this review and offered no help at all. I talked with 3 different women at the store level to resolve this issue. Well it took them 5 and a half weeks to finally give the money back. I was persistent and discussed this with them often. Their customer service skills are lacking. Only one apologized. They never return phone calls and they like to pass the responsibility to each other and apparently their accounting team. I had them at a one star but now that I have had the money returned to me today, I gave them an extra star. The take home from this ... Their self check-outs are very glitchy, especially when giving you the option of a receipt and email. If you do need help, be sure to know that their customer service are not there to help you. If you do, then it is your fault!

Bought a 3 panel custom sliding door from Lowe's ($900). I waited 6 weeks for the door to arrive only to see once it came in it only had 2 tracks. They try to tell me this is the way it comes, expecting me to only use 1/3rd of the opening at a time (2 doors on one track and 1 door on the other) which I found shocking. I get them to order another track for me, waited another 4 weeks. Got 2 calls for pickup. When I went in they asked me to wait while they went to get it from the back. 30 min go by no one says anything to me. I ask how long they tell me a couple minutes, when in reality they had no idea where it was. An hour passes and they still have not found it. Never was I told they couldn't find it until after all this time. As I was leaving they said they finally found it. I got the part after 1 and a half hours of waiting around with no idea what was going on. The store was not busy that day as it was a weekday. No communication or respect for my time. I felt the workers did not care as I stood around in front of them for this duration of time. Spoke to a manager who just said sorry and they will learn to improve. Nothing offered for wasting my time. I will shop elsewhere from now on. Clearly staff does not care for your time and seems they are just counting down the minutes of their shift..

I bought a dishwasher (Frigidaire) on Aug 6th, paid for delivery, installation and a 2-year protection plan. The dishwasher arrived on Aug 19th but did not work during installation. The technician explained the unit was defective and asked me to coordinate directly with Lowe's as they were merely subcontracted for installation. I went to the store the same day and spoke with the appliances dept representative. The representative's first response on hearing my situation was that Lowe's policy was changing and since the item was not manufactured by Lowe’s I needed to contact the manufacturer directly. When I tried to respond, he went on to say “Let’s not get excited about it” and proceeded to check for stock. This is very upsetting - a) I wait a week to receive a new dishwasher which fails during installation and b) I did not get the support I was promised. At the time of sale, the agent assured that if there was any defect in the product, there would be straight exchange. This was not the post-sale customer support I expected. I do not how long I will need to wait for the replacement unit to be delivered and installed. Lowe’s Mississauga needs to improve their post-sale customer support.

Caution to anyone considering reno work with Lowes/Rona Canada. I contracted with Lowes Mississauga Mavis Store and Lowe’s authorized contractor Demo To Done Construction Ltd. to renovate two condo bathrooms (simple demo and replace job, nothing moved). It has taken over a year to finish two bathrooms and none of the issues were covid or supply related. All issues were installation and quality issues with the contractor and store (tile floors reinstalled 3 times, incorrectly installed plumbing, vanities and countertops, product that was shipped to me was defective, damaged, or used by the store). The two baths were at a cost of approx. $46,000 – certainly not basic renos. Lowes & Rona and Sycamore Partners (your new owner) – you have major “home improvement” work to do to your own installs service. I learned the hard way – hope others benefit from my experience! Response to Lowes "generic" response (no ability to "reply"): Please check in with with your own social media team as a case # has been assigned. The work is on you to correct, not for me to talk to another 10 people and explain the situation over and over. That is part of the issue with your organization!

Bought two appliances from the store. A new kitchen stove (over $3000) and a French door refrigerator. Both came without their packing. The refrigerator had a dent on its steel door and the cook top was badly smudged. It took us a good three months to clean the smudges. Under one of the smudge marks was a crack! When we approached the Lowe's customer service they said we should have reported it within 7 days and that the store or the manufacturer holds no responsibility for cracks on the cook top. This was not mentioned at the time of purchase. No installation team came to install the appliances. I and my wife are both senior citizens and had to plug them on our own. ...and now no responsibility for the defective smudged stove top. Maybe the stove was not a new one by the looks of it. It was smudged and not shiny as a new Stainless Steel appliance. Maybe the store needs to rename itself as Low's not as envisioned by the original Mr. / Ms. Lowe's who I am sure had an excellent store chain in his/her mind. A real disappointment for two seniors. This is tantamount to 'Corporate Indifference / Theft!'

This was not a pleasurable customer service experience by any means. I called this morning about an item availability and to put it on hold and my call was dropped numerous times. Finally I got a hold of someone who confirmed that the item was available and I asked them to put it on hold for me so I could stop by on my way through town. When I arrived, customer service was clueless and they had not put the item on hold at all. I had to wait around for another 30 minutes while employees ran around the store trying to find it. Along with clearly no due care, I also received a a ridiculous amount of attitude from CS and zero compassion at all let alone an apology for having my call dropped so many times and having not actually put anything on hold at all for me. I hate writing reviews like this but holy hell was my time totally wasted today and everyone deserves a fair warning that this Lowes is not gonna do you any favors. Shout out to the floor staff at the store who did eventually help us out when we got there and were super nice.

Do not buy appliances from here. I bought a stove, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher and it was all supposed to come in a months time after placing the order. I receive a call from lowes appliances that I will receive the delivery on Saturday. Meanwhile the delivery company ends up changing the date on me last minute and it will arrive on Tuesday. The products ended up coming in but the stove had a large dent in the back so i told the company I would like a new one instead. The past 2 days I have been calling this location to find out what is going on with my order and how this process will occur. These individuals were no help at all they would tell me they will give me a call later in the day but instead completely ignore this issue. Finally I have figured out that my next delivery will be sometime next week. I would stay away from purchasing appliances from here since there is no connection between the store and the delivery company and who knows when your items will arrive.

I purchased a bathroom sink at the Mississaga location and the Burlington location, in the box from the Mississaga location was the wrong sink. The employees at the return desk were helpful along with the gentleman in plumbing. I was able to return the sink. I asked to speak to the supervisor because I wanted a small gift card in return for all my wasted time and gas. Explained to her that this was the fourth trip now going back home to Burlington from this location, because the sink was wrong. I had to go to Etobicoke to pick another one up because they didn’t have stock in any of the stores in my areas. She went to speak to the manager, supervisor told me there was nothing they could do. So much for taking care of the customer. I don’t believe this is the first complaint about the manager. Won’t go back there.

Just wanted to say thank you to the very kind and helpful employee working the in paint section this past Friday evening. He ended up saving me a ton of time, money and energy! I came to buy a can of cheap quality interior paint for my living room. He suggested I buy a higher quality paint that was on sale and would be much better. I asked him about it and he said I would only need to do one coat of paint because it's much thicker than cheaper paint which requires two coats. I was skeptical but he was 100% right! Thank you very much. I hope the owner sees my review and passes along the message! I finished painting my entire living room in one day with one can and one coat of paint thanks to you!!

March 14 updated: Angry with myself, I actually trusted Lowe’s reply. It turns out just waste me another 2 hours. Original post: Bought a dishwasher there last month. Tried different wash cycles, dishes were still not clean and not dry at all. Bring it back to Lowe’s, not allowed to return. Push me back to the manufacturer. Ok, I take it. Work with Fridgedaire for over a week to get a technician in to inspect the machine. It was diagnosed that heater no power and water pump not powerful enough, need to replace a control board. Fridgedaire refused to issue RA number to replace the machine, because they claimed this is repairable. I am stucked here now. So frustrated with Lowe’s and Fridgedaire.

Bought a dishwasher Monday. Never got delivered as promised. Called back they lied to me and said it was supposed to be following week. To the contrary delivery company called me same day in the evening to confirm delivery next day Tuesday. She tried to tell me Ken the salesman made a mistake. Ken didn't make a mistake. Never ever will I step foot in that store. Worst experience ever period. Rude employees that loves to argue with the customer. I even witnessed clients walking out frustrated and customer service were rude and the client wasn't being rude but frustrated over the level of service being provided. Homedepot down the street. No option to leave zero star.

Very unreliable pricing. The shed in March was $1799, in May it became $2399. $500 in 2 months. As I moved to this neighborhood, I started to going to this place, bought patio cover and lot many items. Talked to Manager and she said, she can’t do anything, if you want to return, you can always do that. I pickup these heavy items by myself. There was no customer service gesture. I guess I would have to hire someone to help me to return this heavy item. Hopefully someone at Lows read this and get back to me as a good gesture. I am a VIOPro member (just joined today) having same email address used here.

Huge store that was very clean. I found everything I needed thanks to a lovely gentleman in the tools section named Shane C. He was very helpful in helping me find materials to rebuild the roof of my shed. Even though the store was sold out of what I wanted, he helped me find something very similar. He was amazing and had such a great attitude and was a great employee! Will be coming back here and looking specifically for him as he is great! The owner messaged back and said that they’ll congratulate “her”, but Shane is a boy lol, so not sure what’s happening

Large store with good variety, can usually find what I am looking for. However not too happy with some staff, especially the appliances department is understaffed. Wanted to buy a dishwasher few weeks ago, went there and there was only 1 person working (weekday evening around 7pm) and was taking too long with a potential customer who did not even seem too interested. There was another customer already waiting ahead of me. I waited for 25-30 minutes and they were still with the first customer, so I left and bought the same unit from Home Depot down the street.

Upon entering this store one is warmly welcomed by a staff who asked if I needed assistance. Even if it is not his area the staff answers your question and directs you to the right aisle. They are willing to assist and even go with you to the aisle where your item can be found or ask another co-employee where the item is. The staff will not leave you until you get the answer to your question or until you find the item that you are looking for. The staff goes above and beyond, such is the exemplary customer service  I experienced at this location.

They have many staff on the floor talking and socializing but not even one of them will come to you and ask you the customer if they can help you with what you are looking for...I spent 15 minutes trying to figure out the right faucet to buy for my kitchen, just 10 feet away from the 2 employees busy talking...not even one of them approached me to ask if they could help me with what I needed... That is the case with most of their staff... Maybe they should hire someone to clean their filthy toilets twice a day... Their washrooms are disgusting.

Went to return an online purchase yesterday, customer service rep (name ends in "preet") was on a personal call. I was the only person there, ignored for good 3 to 4 mins. Another customer service rep walked into the pickup/returns area and helped. All the while, first rep was super loud on a personal call via Lowe's phone. After my return was completed, I let the second rep know that it was a little rude. I was told it was an international call therefore the first rep had to be loud. Guess I don't understand customer service these days.

Order our pre lit tree online. Super fast shipping considering all that’s currently going on. Best customer service ever! We have been at this location several times in the last few weeks and all the associates we have interacted with have been very helpful. Was most recently looking for chain saw oil, and got assistance from the first associate that I saw even though this was not their department. Staff approaches you to help, if they see someone trying to figure things out on their own, that is helpful.

I baught a range hood thinking it is stainless steel. When I saw it was wanted to exchange. System shows they have twelve in the store but they could not find it. I wanted to buy another one price was $399. When they scan it it shows $550. The appliance manager did refused to sell it for the price that it was advertised. I requested to speak to chris the store manager but he never showed up. I am a contractor I buy a lot of materials here everyday but bad servicr on Aploance departament service.

I used to like this location, but today's experience was very negative at the customer service desk with these 2 ladies completely lost. As I'm questioning one of them, who couldn't get me a straight answer, the other one jumped and not even looked at us and started trying to answer my questions with a sour attitude. Vivian needs coaching for her customer service and attitude. Management needs to step up. To end my story, we drove to Milton Lowes and the experience was much better.

Came in to get a price on some downspouts and walked around to have a look at the store. I’ve only been here a few times but every time I come, this place is super organized and clean. Very well stocked and has a great selection of everything you could possibly want or need for your home! Ended up grabbing an expanding hose for my yard and a new pair of work gloves. Prices are super competitive and the staff is very friendly. If I’m in the area, I will definitely be back!

I ordered snow blower online to pick from store. But someone came in store and picked the one I already bought and paid for. Now there is no more left in stock in any of the stores in GTA. In 21st century when we are talking about AI/ML doing wonders, how difficult it is to track real time orders online and in store. Pathetic services which will cost me atleast couple of hundred extras. No wonder why people chose Amazon/Walmart/HomeDepot over you for any e-commerce needs.

Despite our initial disappointment re an online order which could not be fulfilled completely as the inventory details online were incorrect, Anna D'Souza was helpful in assisting us to complete the order, even though we were required to drive to the Brampton location to do so. Suggestion - Lowe's should have a policy of transferring items internally when they accept on online order as part of their fulfillment commitment, if they have accepted the order and are short.

There is a new policy that you cannot return an item unless you have the original receipt in your hand. This despite the fact that I provided them the exact credit card that I bought the item using, they say they can no longer access the receipt with just my credit card. They have used the credit card to access the receipt for years, but not now. Home Depot still offers the convenience of looking up your receipt with your credit card. This is a step backward for Lowes.

5***** Help from Anna at the Mavis store. I had placed an order for a low inventory, clearance item, that was not available to my dismay. Talking to Anna, she double checked and said she'd have to cancel my order. I asked her to please keep me in mind if she should find it. Amazingly, she did find one and called me to pay and held it for me until I was able to come in. I am so grateful to Anna for keeping her word and going beyond to keep me in mind. Thank you Anna!

Lowe‘s Home Improvement - its a typical home improvement shop that you can pickup all the materials or tools to finish a project. The merchandise in this store are displayed very clearly in different sections. We went there in a saturday afternoon which there are not very many customer. The store is very large, beside all the material and tool, they also have the kitchen ware like fridge, stove, washer , dryer and dishwasher...etc Staff are helpful.

Store is clean and no doubt a welcoming staff. But the tragedy starts only when you seek for any level of store assistance. You will realize that in their store SOP to employees are different, where the customer has to wait indefinitely or assistance, if they unfortunately chose to ask for help. Go to Home Depot seek help, sure to get it fast, get out fast after purchase. That’s a smart business model that suits the Canadian market.

Zero stars would be more appropriate. I don't understand why the customer service here is so abysmal. I was here to return an item, there was no acknowledgement from the greeter or the two people behind the returns desk. Waited in the returns line only to be told that online returns was to be done somewhere else. Suffice it to say, Home Depot is my go to 99% of the time...and usually the 1% I stray, I get penalized.

Jeremy and roopali deserve a raise. I am not kidding. They went above and beyond to help me solve my problem and find the best solution and/or product. And it was perfect. I usually have a bad interaction but I am genuinely shocked by the attention and help I got during my visit here. I highly recommend anyone who has questions or needs helps to ask either Jeremy or roopali. Give ‘em raises !

They carry everything you would need, competitively price their products, and display everything really well. I can always find what I'm looking for easily, and the staff is exceptional. They even have these car-style carts for when your kids are with you. Additionally: the staff looks after you! Very welcoming, knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond. It’s really bad service the manager there in the appliances department he’s not professional at all. I show him a coupon for discount he say this is only for the item in stock but he’s lied because the lady work there she told me the item in stock at the warehouse when the manager came to see the coupon he said it’s not in stock so u can not apply the coupon ( he lied )

Can never find staff to inquire about location of items or staff don’t properly know locations and send you to the wrong aisles (Multiple Visits) . Cashiers couldn’t care less about customers and appear to only be there to collect a pay check (again multiple visits) and lastly the store policy of only being able to price match if the item is over a dollar difference

Was at the Garden Center to pick up various plants and soil, Wow!! what a great selection here...off course, purchased more than I expected :-) great prices!!! Tony was so amazing in loading my large purchase into my car!! So pleasant and professional !! Thank you Tony and the great staff at Lowe's. I'm sure I'll be back soon for other things :-)

I had a difficult time choosing the right sized fridge for our space, but Paul was super patient, kind and answered all of our questions through out the process! Purchased a new kitchen and an entire renovation project at LOWES … and in return I got refused to exchange a 50$ product that was defective. Unfriendly and rude staff particularly the red head older female … with customer service like this it’s no wonder they have to consolidate stores. Save your time and shop elsewhere.

I won't mention names, but compared to other hardware stores, the staff here was willing to assist and not try to hide away. This one older gentleman was willing to help me find the correct screws I was looking for. Also suggested checking out the special bin and taking whichever screws I need if I find anything useful.

They were not issuing a former employee his t4 .They talked to lowes s H R department and next day by 9am they received the T4..I told them to call labour'board and sue them,I hope their owners has some conscience

I have no real issues with Lowes they are pretty on point from a home improvement standpoint. Though, when it came to paying at the checkout, they don't support Samsung Pay or tap for that matter (giving me no flexibility when paying with someone else's card). I probably won't do future business here.

We we to the garden centre to pick up some seedlings and there was a huge variety from plants to herbs to vegetables. There were large ready to go potted plants, great for your front garden or balcony. We went on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get parking and there wasn't a long line up.

Wow sure is a different store than other ones. Really felt more like a Canadian Tire. Staff were great. Only slight criticism was that signage was hard to see but that is, much like Canadian Tire, because they have so many aisles. And that was how I found out the staff were so great.

My husband just returned from Lowe's where he purchased a gift card. I checked the receipt and saw that he was charged tax on the gift card. Not a legitimate charge. Their website even states no tax is charged on gift cards. Check receipts carefully before you leave the store!
