My cat, he sucks. No really, he sucks fleas up by rolling his tongue into a tube and pretends to be a vacuum cleaner. His name used to be Hoover but he had it changed to Houdini. Now, Houdini is getting old and he has had enough of swallowing live fleas all day. As everyone knows, fleas cause gas. Now that Houdini doesn't suck as much as he used to, some daredevil flea has decided to occupy his back area near the tail where it can tap into and steal his blood. The problem well known to any Houdini fan is that he is allergic to flea saliva (I did not know this) No, this is not a joke. This flea and his best friend on a drinking spree turned Houdini's fur coat into a sad bald crusty red landscape, and rapidly it got worse. I am so grateful to the folks at Randpark Ridge Vet clinic for their expertise and compassion. I was fully expecting them to perform euthenasia and have me arrested for animal abuse or even the other way around. Instead I learned that a single flea can cause an allergic cat to have this much skin trauma in a matter of days. Thanks to Randpark Ridge Vet Clinic, their ongoing treatment has resulted in Houdini looking and feeling the same (no more crusty) as he did when he didn't know why his name was Hoover. The biggest problem I have with the clinic however is me: I don't even know their names.

Took our new puppy to Randpark Ridge Veterinary Hospital for the first time this past weekend. Dr Selmer was on duty and I can honestly say that it was one of the best vet consults I've attended. He handled the pup (who is still apprehensive when it comes to strangers but surprisingly didn't flinch with him) with the gentle care of a seasoned professional, gave the vaccines with such ease and without as much as a squirm from our puppy that I was surprised. He also patiently answered all of my questions. While he may initially seem a little reserved, I found him to be none of the negative things mentioned in one of the reviews here but rather informative, helpful and amazing with our puppy and so I hope he's in when we return in future. The staff are also great, well-informed and helpful. Thanks Randpark Ridge Veterinary Hospital!

Went in for an emergency over the weekend. Everyone at the vet was friendly and attentive. Our dog usually panics over any visit to the vet, but not here! Doctor was kind, friendly, and shared lots of tips and information on pet care and certain issues we can take care off from home. And although the bill is ever so slightly more than what we used to pay at our old vet, it was so worth is considering our beloved pet was more at ease and comfortable during his visit.

Our 2 year old dog was very ill, and we had to urgently take her in on Boxing day. Luckily Randparkridge Veterinary Hospital was open. I was very impressed with the doctor, and the help that we received. Our girl spent the next couple of days here. We were called every day with an update on her progress. From now on i will definitely be taking our pets here even though there are a number of vets closer to us, that we have used in the past.

First vet I have visited that actually cares for his patient. Just such a good experience. The receptionist is also amazing and professional. Thank you for making what started as a scary situation such a calming and easy one. Also fees are actually reasonable and not crazy like other vets I’ve been to who tend to overcharge just for the sake of it.

Stay away if Dr Selmer is on call. My experience of this man was awfull. His behaviour can be described as unmannered, unhelpful, rude, and he did a terrible job with my parrot's nails. Shocking experience. All the other doctors at this practice are EXCELLENT except Dr. Selmer who apparently consults sometimes over weekends.

My first visit with my dog who was limping to Randpark Ridge Vet as I was house sitting in Monkor Drive over December and they were so good and so helpful - very professional. Helped me with the form for my pet insurance. I was most impressed with the vet and the gentleman at reception who was so kind and patient.

Literally gave my dogs ashes in my hands then took her away because we have an outstanding bill but yet when I called they said I can collect her ashes VERY disappointed. Don’t say one thing then do another that was extremely horrible to go though !!! And they know we will pay. …

The vets here are awesome. I have always received fantastic service and my animals have always received the best treatment. The ladies in reception are also super friendly and are willing to help which is great when you're under the stress of having a sick pet. Thank you to everyone.

The best veterinary hospital/clinic that I know of. The vets are kind and soft with the animals. We have been taking our dogs to them for the last 15years. The staff know them by name and make them feel at ease. The walkers are a big plus, allowing the patients to relieve themselves

Dr Selmar is extremely knowledgeable about cats. Has been spot on with my cat's health since day one. Wouldn't take my Nubi to anyone but him! Trust him completely, truly excellent!
