The best bagels! I go here a few times per month, usually for breakfast on weekends. I do not think it is physically possible to make a better bagel than what you will get at Regal. My favorites: - Toasted all-in-one bagel with honey walnut cream cheese - Toasted pesto cheese bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. Their bagels are fresh out of their Cutler bakery oven. If you ask for cream cheese they will toast your bagel in their rolling toaster and then smother it with a lot of cream cheese. $6 will get you two bagels with your choice of cream cheese and you will be full until well past lunch time. Coffee is $1.40 - $2 depending on the size. They have good coffee. The bakery is small and, rain or shine, is almost always packed on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Even if the line extends outside of the building your wait will be ~10 minutes or less. Don't worry, these guys are fast and you'll be happy you waited. This place is busy. Despite the relaxing piano music and "friends and family" atmosphere, Regal is not the kind of place where you would do homework or read a book on the weekend. The same 4-5 people are always working on weekends and they have always been friendly, smiling, fast, and they remember your order. My advice: If you get a toasted bagel with cream cheese, eat it as soon as they hand it to you. The bagels cool down quickly once they are toasted. The bagels are decent when they are cold but they are heavenly when they are still warm! The temperature makes a big difference.

I only came here because my favorite TV sitcom is Three's Company and their punny name caught my eye and funny bone. Cute and modern bagelry in a small plaza. Fancier than the bagel places I've frequented which tend to look like old 70's mom and pop donut shops or delis. The lox bagel sandwich is pretty good with enough cream cheese spread and lox. They add fresh basil leaves to theirs, which is different but I enjoyed. If you're looking for big fluffy chewy bagels this is not the place for you. These bagels are dainty and gourmet which is not a bad thing. Their cragels are interesting. I liked the texture of the pastry a lot but the Nutella wasn't really coming through for me no matter how many layers I peeled off. The cinnamon cragel was good, too. Not sure if they're eaten plain or with cream cheese but that wasn't brought up or offered. They will warm it up for you, if you want. There are outdoor bistro tables to dine outside.

Great bagels, you can't go wrong with a BLT on a Pesto Cheese bagel, mouth watering! Their Thai Iced Tea is also very good. Love the music collection they have. It's a small little bagel shop with limited seating, customer service is good. The only negative I have is although we pretty much order the same thing Everytime the prices never really seem to match. Sometimes for the same order the total comes out more than on a different occasion. Unfortunately the receipt doesn't describe the order placed and just shows a total. Either way I continue going simply because I really do enjoy their bagels I just wish they wouldn't keep changing their pricing. I would make it more 3.5 stars simply for that reason.

Best bagels in San Jose. Consistently so good. My favorite is a sesame seed bagel with tomato basil cream cheese, but my family enjoys their egg and cheese sandwiches and chocolate croissants. I also like the strawberry cream cheese with actual strawberries in it instead of artificial coloring. They also serve sandwiches. There is a small amount of seating inside and more outside, but most people get bagels to go. Their service is super quick and I don't know how they keep them all straight on busy days, but they do. Drinks are mostly bottles in a cold case, plus coffee/espresso (although there is a Starbucks next door. )

Excellent bagel place, humble staff and great service. We just moved to south San Jose and this place popped up in our search first up so decided to give it a go. Tried their cream cheese filled croissant, pesto cheese and everything bagel with egg n cheese. Loved the cream cheese , a little on the sweeter side and the flakiness of the croissant made it an amazing combo, a must try item here. Their bagels are really good, we loved both pesto cheese and everything bagel, soft and fresh. Their prices are very reasonable considering the Bay Area, this will be our bagel place to go from now on.

I was in the area and hungry..looking for a bagel sandwich. I ordered the bacon egg on everything bagel...it was 6.25. I wished I added cream cheese. The bagel was so fresh and good. I asked for it to be more toasted . The bacon was good...I wished there was more..it only came with 2 pieces. I also got a white chocolate mocha. It was hot and very good. Starbucks was next door but wanted to give them the business. If your looking for wonderful fresh food...this place is very good. I would come back again.

  • Shanna Pena

First time I went I got a breakfast crousant sandwich and the crousant was not cooked all the way. I hate undercooked crousants, probably would have been good otherwise. I decided to give it another shot thinking maybe it was a bad batch so I got turkey sandwich and again...... The crousant is undercooked. So disappointed because it would be a great sandwich otherwise. Bagel would be a better choice, I just don't care for them.

  • tahiya m

Used to give them 5 stars as best bagels in south bay but they have altered their recipes. I don't know if they have changed suppliers or added conditioners to their dough but they now serve that bagel-shaped white bread that every other place serves. If you want good sandwich ingredients on soft crappy white bread, go for lunch by all means. But if you're looking for a chewy, crust- just- right, flavorful bagel, keep looking.

Everything I have had here has been above and beyond delicious. I usually get a strawberry cream cheese on whole wheat for breakfast and the avocado and cheese on whole wheat for lunch. They have a veggie bagel sandwich I plan on trying. Their ham&cheese croissants are BOMB. My boyfriend orders them because he forgets he doesn’t like them and I get the rest. They also have my favorite tea and are so kind.

  • Nick Swenson

Been coming here since I was a child, and I still stop by whenever I'm in town. I'm sure the parents still go frequently. It's a small family run business and they make great bagels fresh on the daily. They have small variety of home cream cheese all delicions. The bagel sandwiches are excellent too. I like to get the Roast Beef, BLT, or Turkey Club, usually on an Everything bagel.

  • Ariel Lopez

Love this place! Friendly staff. Always delicious bagels and great coffee. I would drive to the office during Covid just to get a bagel and coffee. Everything about it is great. I actually choose this place over Starbucks, which is next door. Prices are fair and average :) I usually order a breakfast sandwich plus a lunch one lol they’re just soooo good!

  • Katie Metzger

This is a high quality neighborhood favorite. The bagels and every food item is fresh and delicious. It is also the cleanest restaurant in San Jose. Great for a breakfast treat or sandwiches for your lunch or day trip. Our neighborhood is lucky to have a family owned business that has such pride in their food and service. Highly recommended.

  • James Kilpatrick

Great little place to go to if you want a good cup of coffee and don't want to wait in a long line like at Starbucks to get what you want. The Regal also sells bagels and sandwiches which are great and the price can't be beat either! The customer service here is also excellent and the staff here are so friendly and kind!

  • Camille King

Good and fast service. Reasonably priced. Lots of variety in bagel choices and in cream cheese flavors. They also offer bagel sandwiches and some pastries. Excellent coffee (Uncommon Grounds, Berkeley). Bagels are soft, not too chewy. Not dense. A little too soft for my liking, but they got the overall experience right.

The best Bagel, i always get the All in one with cream cheese and toasted. Server always excellent, very nice, quick service. Very reasonable price. Love this place. The greeting and service all ways get me to come back wherever i am in the area. Ham& Cheese is very good too. Family own business.

  • Marlena G. (redlion29)

Tasty & fast, excellent lox and a wide variety of fresh bagels & toppings. There are a few small tables inside and out, but occasionally we need to get things To Go if those are full. Starbucks is 2 next door, and Jamba is 4 doors down, so the location is super convenient. Love this place.

  • Vincent Nguyen

This place has great bagels. I always come for the bagels with cream cheese inside. They do not skimp on the cream cheese inside. Bagels are also wrapped so you don't have any unfortunate accidents. Coffee is also pretty good and is there if you want it. It's pretty cafinated too!

  • Mar Slio

Excellent bagels, fast, personalized service. Way better than Panera bagels...here they prepare your bagels they dont just toss it in the toaster and hand you a small tub of cream cheese. I am a regular here and I recommend it to everybody who lives in this neighborhood.

  • Steve Buchholz

Bagel sandwiches, who'd have thunk it? Quality meats and bagels which are so much better than bland bread, great value too. Plain and filled croissants are well done! I'm not a huge fan cheese filled pastries, but the cream cheese filled croissants are the best I've had.

  • Jeffrey Purganan

Just had a savory egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich on an "all-in-one" bagel. Very hot and cheesy. The staff were friendly and the music was soft, which was perfect for a small/neighbors cafe feel. Pro tip: you can comment to Starbucks WiFi nextdoor if you need it.

  • Adam Bolour

Feels a bit like my previous homes: Los Angeles vibe with open windows and New York vibe with fresh bagel smell and a bit of a hussle. Bagels are awesome and their sandwiches are authentic bagel style with hint of fresh fare from Cali. Lox is fresh and delish.

  • Steve Warwick

Delish. Fresh, great tasting bagels, low price, fast service. Ordered the Hummus and the Lox Bagel -Wiches on a poppyseed and Jalapeno bagel. Oh so good. Our first visit, but will be back. Don't worry if the line is out the door: it goes super fast.

  • Ben Austin-Lane

this place is great i got a delicious cinnamon raisin bagel that was the perfect hardness and texture and a really good thai tea and it was all under 10 dollars even after tip. amazing value wish it was closer to my house, will be coming again.

  • Marc Ball

My go to place for breakfast on the way to work. Bagels and spreads are always made fresh and even though there is a line to the door you won't wait more than 5 minutes. My suggestion, Kona coffee and the garlic bagel sandwich with pepper lox.

  • Lucy Manzo

I usually have good experiences here, but I think I received someone else's order. I ordered a hummus sandwich and got a cream cheese one with salad dressing instead. I'm lactose intolerant so I had to give it away but I heard it was tasty.

  • Benjamin Muniz

This place is simply amazing - they have the best breakfast sandwiches around, hands down. I come and order the breakfast sausage, egg and cheese on a pesto, jack cheese or marinara cheese bagel. They are always fresh and I believe they

  • Loveleen Kaur

Comfy, clean bagel shop. Got egg & cheese sandwich with onion bagel. Pretty good stuff. Also, got the cream cheese croissant - it was a great treat! Might as well order coffee from here too. The service was prompt and friendly.

  • Cydney George-Abatecola

Good bagel sandwiches, always get my order correct, and they are fast. Tip:if getting a breakfast or hot bagel sandwich to go ask to not have it wrapped in plastic wrap. Otherwise when you go to eat it it's all soggy.

  • Brian Spoutz

The people are great, the bagels, loaded w/your favorite fillings, are superb. Weekends take a while to order, but worth the wait! Bring your phone or paper and enjoy the company. I hope they don't get more popular!!

I tried their Turkey Avocado with Everything bagel and the Norwegian Lox with Pesto Cheese Bagel. They were both really delicious and the best past is they don’t charge a ridiculous price for Bagel.

Great little family shop trained in the art by a New Yorker. If they could import the NY water it'd be spot on. And of course they toast it if you want. Lunch is an option too. Good sandwiches.
