Love this place! I live on 121 so it is an easy walk to the 124 street location. When ever friends want to get together for lunch, either I or them suggest Remedy, maybe I am being used for my free parking, hmmmm! In any case we have never had a bad meal or experience. Yes, some of the counter staff are somewhat indifferent, better that than too friendly. Have never felt rushed to leave like some 124 Street restaurants. The wall art changes regularly and some times it is very good. Different evening crowd than daytime patrons, many laptops a glow and what appear to be studying students. I love both the butter chicken and butter chicken wraps. Each time I visit Remedy I say I will try something different, never do! As soon as I smell the savoury butter chicken sauce I know I can't resist it. I have had friends complain that the portions are too big, never a problem for me though. Good right down to the last bit of naan! There are a large selections of desert options but have never tried any of them.

Remedy Cafe offers a laid-back, casual atmosphere. Their food is flavourful and hearty. I have two favorite items here: the palak paneer wrap with humus or chicken chana wrap with hummus. I never venture beyond these items because they are always so satisfying. Guests have the option of ordering wraps with hummus or mayonnaise so are easily customizable based on dietary preferences. They also offer gluten-free and vegan options so can accomodate a variety of needs. What I love about these wraps is that they are hearty and flavourful so I end my meal feeling satiated and satisified. I find the staff to be very warm and friendly even when the cafe is packed and they are busy. The cafe itself is humble and relaxed. It's unpretentious and cozy. This spot is definitely my favorite spot for cozy, comfort food that is consistently satisfying.

If you find this helpful, give it a thumbs up! Customer WiFi: yes Washrooms: yes Power outlets: yes Pet friendly: no Parking: Street Food/Drinks: really good specialty coffees teas and chai. Food has a bit of Indian flare to it with lots of bold flavors and really good. Service: staff are nice but don't really interact much with you. Also the system they have for getting you drinks is kinda dumb because you order, then you sit down, then while you're in a conversation you need to listen for your drink order to be called and you go pick it up. That's if you remembered what you ordered I usually don't. The thing is they gave us a number thing for our food and they brought the food to us but they couldn't do it for the drinks too. Atmosphere: very chill and relaxed. Very hip, open, and a great place to study, visit or chill and read a book. If you found this helpful, let me know by leaving a thumbs up!

Went into this Cafe late last night for a business meeting with my partners and our realtor to brain storm and conduct some serious business after a long day of working hard! Very glad we ended up at this super cozy and friendly staffed establishment to enjoy an excellent hot beverage! Our realtor was the one who recommended this place for meeting and he spoke very highly of the Chai over at this shop! Upon arrival the staff greeted my business partners and I with very friendly and uplifting spirits, answering all our questions about the hot beverages and snacks etc. I ended up with the famous Chai and my friend got the London Fog we both enjoyed our drinks immediately upon taking the first sip, the taste was amazing with the blend of flavours and high quality ingredients. Definitely will be coming back to this Cafe whenever I am in the area or for any future meetings we will be visiting here!

I order from here all the time, the food has always been good and at a respectable temperature, given that it's delivered via Uber. You can get all sorts of cool coffees and drinks here, my favorite is the Vietnamese coffee. If you haven't tried Remedy yet, you should definitely give it a shot.

This location is well-lit and clean, with enough space to seat 2-4 people per table. The packaged and bulk teas on display on the main wall are not for weighing and bulk purchase; I was told to contact their main location on 109 to request the manufacturer send a package of bulk tea to me instead. They have the standard chai lattes and London fog tea latte with rainbow colored picnic table seating nearby. Fairly good place to stop and chat when the main street traffic isn't busy, so warm and breezy afternoons spent here would likely be ideal—rather than chilled evenings. The staff here followed instructions fairly well and were able to substitute for a different milk: standard 2% for sweetened soy. Pricing is closer to standard (average), compared to other cafes in and around downtown, for the above mentioned beverages.

This company seriously needs to educate itself on inventories and time management. I have recently placed two orders here and have noticed issues more than once. I don't understand how a restaurant can reliably even run with such bad inventory handling skills. What's worse is that the time you lose when ordering from this restaurant. They can't do their homework in advance and as a result you lose time. I will say the food was OK from what I recall. They did deliver once but really they have a bad overall approach to order handling. I have ordered from several Edmontob restaurants and none of them have wasted my time quite like this one. It's safe to say I won't visit or order from here again. 1.5/5 rating

I was walking by remedy last night (july 8 2022) and went inside for a bite to eat. I'm a big curry fan so I was pleasantly surprised to see so many Indian food options on the menu. After a few minutes I decided on the butter chicken - HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT. I'm 99.9% sure it was just a bowl of tomato soup with 3 big chunks of chicken in it and a bowl of wild grain rice on the side. There was 0 curry and 0 coconut milk in this so called butter chicken. 10/10 for the friendly staff 0/10 for the food I'd definitely avoid the Indian food here if this is any indication on how the butter chicken tastes/is made

I had a peaceful and joy filled day today, I highly recommend this Remedy Cafe to dine in or take out for many valid reasons. The customer service is superb. The menu is excellent. I was impressed with their customer service. They are Chaysa, Soraya, Lindsay, and Sukhi (Cook). I observed these 4 staff members working not only in harmony but very welcoming to their incoming customers. Lindsay is the manager who is humble, kind, works with her staff in harmony and promotes a strong team spirit. Soraya, Chaysa work together to provide fast service ..Sukhi is not only an excellent cook but a happy person. It is worth your time and effort to visit the Remedy Cafe because you have a lot of mouth watering dishes/beverages at your disposal.

OOPS haha i acttualy left this review at the wrong location. Im sure they are great at terwiliger too but this is what i wrote. I used to work fairly close by and would visit this café almost daily. Always fresh, friendly staff, clean, large variety, Nice feel to the café, and well maintained. I was speaking with the snow removal guys this past winter. Really nice guys and they always had the café cleared by the time I rolled in just after 8am. Even on freezing rain days where I almost broke my neck getting there! crazy Alberta winters. My bad for the double post. Like I said I'm sure all the locations are great!

I give all the Remedy’s a 4.75. It is a warm and cozy place that I enjoy going to fairly regularly with my friends. We all very much appreciate their late hours and easy atmosphere. That and their solid drinks and food keep me coming back. I love so many of their drinks, hot or cold. I have heard before that management isn’t good to their staff so that is the reason for my removal of a star. I want them to be great for customers but also treat their staff well. Thanks for expanding across the city! Please consider opening one in the old cheesecake cafe on 170th! Or somewhere more west! West end is starved for good local coffee shops and I want to keep supporting you Remedy

This place was absolutely rocking Awesome, friendly and personable staff. The atmosphere is great. I went with the Ginger Chai Lattė, and it was amazing! The best Chai I've had in a long time. I didn't ask, but I think the recipie is close to authentic chai recipies - so lots of spice! The butter chicken wrap was absolutely stellar as well. Not what I was expecting, but amazing and tasty nonetheless. Person I went with ordered a London Fog and a grilled cheese sandwhich, and she was also absolutely impressed. Said it was really good bread. Awesome little cafė to check out! :) Added a shot from when I was tinkering around with the Go-Pro.

I have to change my view on this location ordered 2 drip coffee one a week or so ago... Tasted like the bitterest of coffees I've ever had I asked for salt to make it somewhat palatable, then today ordered a fresh drip coffee and go a cold cup of coffee, said that it was cold and the staff then opened my coffee into a cup safe for the microwave and gave me back a coffee that couldn't melt sugar without and milk or cream. Seems to be not very welcoming there, out the way is now, ain't no way. Bye.

The food has always been well prepared and flavourful. I'm frugal so I would like the prices to be a bit cheaper but Remedy has never disappointed me each time I come here. I like this location as it is still hopping but affords some privacy if you want to sit outside on the sidewalks. Generally light but lively traffic adds to the ambience. Paul Kane Park is nearby, being revamped sometime ago, it is a wonderful small community park to relax at after a hearty meal from Remedy or just a drink and cookie in hand. Five Star on many aspects here but overall it's got to be a four as we all can improve as time goes on ✌️

  • Sarah G

All of their chai drinks are very good. I especially like the Kashmiri chai. If your not into very sweet drinks though I’m not sure if you would like them. I love their Dahl and Chana masala wrap. Only giving 3 stars for 2 reasons: 1. Their food is inconsistent in taste especially at their other locations. Sometimes it can be super bland which is a huge disappointment. 2. I’ve heard that they don’t treat they employees very well

I used to love remedy but not anymore. I was horrified as I watched the barista RESTEAM milk for my drink, as well as the milk for the people before and after me. they didn’t even rinse the jug. This is a HUGE health and safety concern — as somebody who has barista experience it’s literally the basics?? Resteaming milk completely ruins the flavour, makes it grainy and almost sour tasting. When I asked for my drink to be remade with fresh milk and a rinsed jug I was greeted with an attitude. This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this either. I’m done ✌

My favorite place in Edmonton to get Butter Chicken and Chai Lattes!! My only complaint is that they don't use a spice bag for their rice, leaving hard chunks of spice and peppercorn in their rice, and I've almost broken a tooth accidently biting down on them before :( You got to be careful to pick them out, no one wants a trip to the emergency dental office!!

Everyone here has been so lovely to me over the years. I suggest you try their chai but also their medium roast with extra cream. Their cream and coffee were absolutely yummy! Pastries you -must- try: peanut butter marshmallow confetti square, their carrot cake, and their bumble berry bar! Also, their butter chicken is really good, as well as their yellow curry chicken, my advice is to order those with rice! Keep up the -great- work guys!

They used to be my lunch destination but it seems like the quality of food depends on the location. I will not buy again from the HUB Mall location at UofA campus. They would not hesitate to sell me yesterday's samosas (warmed up on a grill) that taste like something dead and I got lukewarm food at other locations on campus twice. That's inconsistency in quality. They suggest tipping them in advance. I would suggest not to. Check what you get, if it's good, fresh and warm, then throw your tip into their tip jar.

Food is always sooo good. Remedy cafe branch is one of my favourite. I always recommend this place except for the fact that sometimes it gets very crowded and noisy. Then I’ll recommend the location on the west side. Also the tall tables are not my favourite. I’ve seen people struggling as much as me to sit on these. But at the end of the day, you can enjoy very tasty and fresh food. Staff are always efficient and friendly. And unfortunately the west location doesn’t have dhosas, so I only come here for those :d

  • Bradley Biamonte

Of all the REMEDY locations this one is my favourite. Though its smaller than most the service better than the other locations I’ve tried with the food and drinks prepared more consistently as well. Prices are up but its still a great deal because servings are large and the food is filling enough to share. My favourite combination to share is the Chana Masala wrap washed down with a Badamee Chai followed by a slice insanely dense vegan chocolate cake. The two of you will need the walk home its so filling. Enjoy.

I want to especially write a thank you to Pary, who greeted me and my friends this morning. When I went to pickup my food, they offered me two delicious iced chais. They said that they had extra on hand, but I was especially touched since I was going through a very difficult morning. I don’t go to remedy locations much, but the service today was so kind, friendly, and considerate that the 124 location will always have good vibes in my heart. Y’all were wonderful and I want to shout out my appreciation

  • Haha P

Went to this remedy, most things on the menu were crossed off. My friend and I ordered butter chicken, samosas, naan and rice. Food came out, wrapped in tin foil, and no plates or utensils given and we were gonna eat in the restaurant. My friend took one look at the samosa and was disgusted. It was flat, doughy and looked grilled instead of fried, fluffy and crispy. The nan bread was soggy, doughy and no butter. Not appetizing at all. We asked for our money back. The cashier person was very kind.

  • Sara McNamara

Had a wonderful experience. Took my client who is in a wheelchair and they were incredibly accommodating! Very friendly staff especially the cashier that took our order. Bright the drinks and food right to our table and as we were leaving the cashier ran over to hold the door open for us! Very very happy with our experience and wish I had gotten their name so we could thank them properly!!

Considered a must visit by Edmonton locals. I visited two locations during my two week stay. The Chai is absolutely delicious, but I just say it hurt my soul a little to pay 6.66 before tax for a dirty chai. The location on Jarvis feels more like a restaurant whereas their other location (which I can't remember its exact location but it is west of McEwan University) was more cafe like. If I visited Edmonton again I would stop in for another chai. Yum

  • jeanette soroka

Had a chai craving, stopped at Remedy Cafe on 124th. We ordered dirty chai and vanilla chai and they were amazing. Very delicious, totally satisfied my chai craving. 10/10 would go here for chai again. Also, it's mostly pay-to-park around here so be prepared. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Vibe is great, very chill place.

This spot is cozy. I noticed some of the staff can be a little disorganized and forgetful although most of them are friendly and others not so much. Coffee and food is pretty good. I read a review that said this spot needed to be updated and it looks like a basement and lacks an aesthetic that is pleasing, I think they missed the point of the whole remedy ora. Not everything has to be perfect to be appreciated. That is all lol.

  • Zach & Rebecca Wiebe (Zach&Rebecca)

They are not careful when it comes to correctly labeling and preparing for dietary needs. I have Celiacs Disease and due to them giving me a regular bagel with the written label of a "gluten free" I'm now experiencing agonizing symptoms. Luckily I won't die, but if you have any allergies DO NOT GO TO THIS REMEDY. Could you imagine if it was a nut allergy?! Do better.

I loved the place. It's a great place to have a breakfast with your friends also to work on your computer. Teas and coffee are specials and different styles, more than an Americano , cappuccino or latte. Also they have many options to sweeten your drink (agave syrup, coconut syrup, coconut sugar, etc I like they try to reduce the use of plastic with a simple action of leave metal spoons and customers can reuse it

Very small cafe, there was no where to sit when we first got there we had to wait for about 20 min for people to leave. They really also need to update the design it does not look like a “cafe” at all, everything looked dirty and old including the paint on the walls. Their chai was very good but I’d be embarrassed to bring someone here, it’s not aesthetically pleasing at all, it looks like a basement.

  • Jenny Nguyen

Great place to go for chai! They have a variety of drinks on the menu and desserts. Tried their gluten free cookies as well but let’s just say it was not my cup of tea The place did get busy after we were seated and from the looks of it, people come here to study and do work so wait time could be long if you come at a busy time looking for a table.

Love the food and drink here, service is usually pretty good but sometimes this and the quality of drinks made varies depending on who's serving. Definitely worth a visit though, especially if you have allergies, intolerances or food preferences. Tonnes of amazing vegan options, delicious gluten free cakes and the coconut dog is to die for. A lot of the food has a distinct Indian vibe which I love.

This place is great. Coffees and teas are some of the best anywhere. South East Asian cuisine is very good. Aloo Matar (pictured), samosas and palak paneer: so good! The wraps are tasty and filling. For those who aren’t digging Indian food - they make a pretty good grilled cheese sammich. I like this location best, but they’re all pretty good. Very comfortable place to sit, eat, talk, work.

  • Ryan

A Hipsters place that is well worth a visit. At some places, people like me might complain about high prices for hot drinks but not here. These guys have a huge selection of artisanal teas and coffees that are all delicately crafted and served with care. Yes, it can cost a lot of money for a cup of hot water but, once you've tried it I think you'll agree that it's worth every cent.

  • Jaime Kennedy

I like Remedy for their butter chicken wraps and usually order their matcha or an americano misto. Today I tried this location and ordered my usual americano misto; the barista didn’t know what an americano misto was and insisted they don’t serve them. A little disappointed with the customer service but could just be an off day.

I had one of the best coconut chai lattes I have ever had and the two other people I was with agreed their drinks were amazing. The one barista working did an amazing job keeping up with a lineup that at some points waa out the door. I would add that it would have been nice to have had a second barista on with him because he pretty much didn't stop the entire time we were there.

  • Karen Abdolmaleki

Their coffee is terrible. The chai is too sweet. The food portions are microwaved in cheap unmicrowavable plastics (which they reuse). If you eat there and don't get sick you have a strong stomach. The owners are rude. The only positive aspect are the baristas who unfortunately are ill-treated by the owners regarding their wage, tips and job security. Edmonton can do better.

  • Mick M. Sahib

The chai here was sub par. Too sweet and not traditional. The desserts were okay. The best part about this place is actually the atmosphere. It's pretty laid back and a great place to meet friends and have a talk. I'm east indian, so I might be a bit picky about the chai, so you may like it. Or just stick to the coffee.

Lovely! Went here with my boyfriend as we were passing by and had the Tandoori chicken, a Ginger Chai & a Coconut Fog -- all of it was wonderful! Great atmosphere and wonderful aesthetic. The downsides? Parking is not easy to find, seating can be a little difficult sometimes as it can get busy, and it can be a little pricey. Other than that, it's a great place.

  • Matt Yanish

Great drinks, nice staff, cool atmosphere dispite the location. Incredibly ironic however, that a place with a comprehensive selection of vegetarian/vegan food options accidentally served me real meat in my wrap. I understand these things happen, and I'm not really offended by it. I'll likely go back next time I'm craving a fancy hot drink.

  • Raisaa Abdullah

Good way to spend an evening drinking chai and catching up. Their chai is refreshing and if you are getting their to-stay mug, it's huge and you in you can sip the tea for a long long time! We say outside on the patio enjoying the evening sun. Perfect place to go for a walk too. Beautiful neighborhood with mature trees and gorgeous homes.

  • David Domshy

Good drinks and food. Alright atmosphere. Many vegan options that are tasty. Would recommend the vegan butter chicken (i don't question the black magic that it takes to make vegan butter chicken, but it's good). A great place to meet someone new, or study. I have heard hearsay that they don't treat their employees well, but idk for sure.

Great food, great drinks, great staff, great music. I also have dietary restrictions, but there are NUMEROUS vegetarian/dairy-free/gluten-free options on the menu so I never have to worry. I will often spend a few hours studying here after class, and the atmosphere combined with a full stomach really helps me be productive.

This is the place for chai tea. They have a great deal of chai flavours and other beverage options. Their food menu is worth a try too, I loved their butter chicken wrap and lamb curry dish. Also great for students or for anyone who enjoys a nice cafe to do some work, as there's plenty of outlets for charging your devices.

The service is always a hit or miss unfortunately. The latte is okay, the Chai though, I feel like the training is inconsistent. It has got to the point I don't even bother getting Chai at this location. I miss the old remedy, a time when quality mattered. Great location, and they have so much potential!

Love every other location except for this one. Went there today and all the baristas had their hair down and falling in the steaming pitchers. Pretty sure that’s a health code violation? The bars were not clean at all, and they don’t clean the steaming wands between dairy and non dairy milks.

Obsessed with Remedy’s vegan raw cheesecakes that are supplied by Nabati! They also have the best chickpea curry that I’ve ever had-be careful because it is pretty spicy! It’s almost always packed with the people on the weekend so it’s a good idea to take your food and drinks to go.

I really like this place. I love all their drinks. For hot drinks their chai teas are amazing. For cold drinks, I enjoy the coconut lassi. Their savory food is pretty good too. I do have to admit that I am not a fan of their cakes and desserts, but I have not tried them all.

  • Christopher Cogswell

Great local place to get an amazing cup of coffee. Their chai lattes are amazing and it has a great atmosphere for studying or coffee meetings. The food menu is also pretty tasty. Check out any of their locations in the city they've been all fairly similar experiences.

I have been going to this café for many months now, and every time I come in Lake welcomes me and greets me with a huge smile. Highly recommend this cafe to study, hang with friends, and have some quality drinks!

If you stop by try the coconut chicken wrap or plate. I had the wrap version and it was amazing, the accompanying sauce expands on the flavour profile of the dish.

Was visiting from Calgary and boyfriend wanted to share hometown favourites with me. Loved the Chana wrap I got there and had to go back for more the next day. Tastes very authentic Indian and reminds me of my childhood. The chai was also very flavourful.

I never drink coffee except for here. Their vanilla iced lattes are amazing and their London Fog's are great as well. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and they have great service.

Love this place! Every Remedy Cafe feels unique and they all have comfortable atmospheres. Staff are very accommodating and helpful, but always seem to be a little aloof which I think adds to the atmosphere. Prices are good for fancy hot drinks!

  • Lauren Jarvis

I LOVE Remedy but this location is very hit or miss.. which is really disappointing considering I live so close. I find in the morning the Chai lattes aren’t made well, as if there’s too much milk to chai ratio. I haven’t had an issue with

First time I was in this place a few days ago, very friendly staff, amazing service and delicious teas. They used cardboard to separate the tables, I think , half transparent plastic would be a better choice as it looks a bit cluttered.

A true Edmonton gem. Love the tandoori wrap here, the green chilli chicken wrap, butter chicken, all the lattes, milkshakes and the cheesecakes. In fact, I have not had a single item from Remedy that I did not like. Love this place!

91/100!✨ FANTASTIC Cafe! Been coming to this location for years now and never once been disappointed! Love it alot. Especially their "Butter Chicken Wrap" and sauce. Yum yum! MESSAGE TO OWNER: I'll be back! Love it here very much!

  • Trippy Tripcicle

Love the food and coffee here. They have great vegan options as well. The butter chicken is amazing. The mango lassi is also a wonderful drink. This place is great for studying or a nice quiet date night. Definitely give it a try!

  • Lu Lu

Love that Remedy has more selection than a Starbucks or Second Cup. Their menu has Indian eats and their hot beverage menu is more extensive. I prefer the Remedy cafes over the usual chains. It's a nice place to meet for coffee

  • Shruti R

Really good dosa and mango lassi. Tried few other indian places in the town and this one is by far my favourite. Went here twice in a row. Loved all the dishes i tried. It is really authentic indian food in Edmonton downtown.

  • Tayen Bezaire

Great service, friendly staff that always remembers my order. And as will all Remedy cafes the food, drinks and atmosphere are all very nice. This is my daily Cafe stop <3

Indian comfort food at it's best. Always tastes great, always made quickly, and filling! The staff are fun and helpful, they know their stuff. Order teas, or syrup-infused milk drinks. Their coffee doesn't taste that great.

Great atmosphere, great drinks. Near a nifty little park if being on a terrace or busy restaurant isn't your thing. Priced higher than your typical Second Cup or Starbucks, but well worth the extra price. And it's local!

  • Alana

The best chai tea by far! Everything I have ever ordered from here has been 10/10. Drinks, food, puffed wheat squares, you name it. Super friendly staff and comfy environment. If i could give more than 5 stars i would!!

  • Rachel Castelletti

Amazing food and drinks. Pricey though. For that price I wish the chairs and tables were a bit better, as well as the washrooms. But if price doesnt maytwe to you.. amazing eats. Try the tandoori chicken wrap, amazing.

  • Risa Gemmill

Favourite place in Edmonton to get a delicious chai tea latte. I am never disappointed when I come here. Great atmosphere and its usually busy but I always find a table! The Samosas are definitely a must try as well!

Expect a very polite lineup and tasty baked goodies. The lineup of food is only ok. Customers service is excellent. The experience hasn't changed. Why does this chaim seem to attract a nice clientele? Love it.

  • Athena Born

Went with a friend had the Coconut matcha latte and tandoori chicken wrap. Enjoyed both. Friendly atmosphere. Good selection of deserts, although I didn't indulge during this visit I do want to return to try.

  • Myron Pyzyk

Great cafe for any time of the day or evening for healthy drinks, snacks or healthy meals. The latte was great. Very safe Covid set up. Every table blocked off and tables are cleaned after every customer.

I love this place, the coffee and tea selection is amazing. Coconut fog can't be beat. I also love coming here to study and do homework. This is my favorite remedy location but they're all pretty good

  • Jeremy Jones

I come here because you serve your drinks in a ceramic mug. I got a paper cup. Not very environmentally friendly.... shared this 2 years ago, I was a regular. Haven’t been back since.

  • Reed Rich

I will always give this cafe five stars. It's my favorite place to get chai tea latte and delicious food in Edmonton. Excellent customer service and a cozy, pleasant atmosphere.
