Amazing burger and poutine! Both were great. Lots of options for burgers and a good amount of options for different poutines too. Also tried the five cheese bites and they were great as well. Service lacked very much unfortunately. I’m not sure if they were under staffed but after requesting ketchup from two different servers (after our meals had came.. meaning we were sitting there waiting to eat) we watched each of them serve at least two other tables (taking orders and delivering drinks). After my third ask, she apologized and finally brought it over. The atmosphere of the place is great though (clean, modern, and trendy) and the food was wonderful too so for those reasons, we will definitely be back!

I wish I could take back some of the five-star reviews I have given other places because CV is 5++ ... not just excellent food but an excellent selection of vegetarian burgers and poutine. Efficient, real-friendly (not fake friendly) service, designer ambience (although the malevolent, evil, staring painting might be replaced). Any restaurant that labels vegetarian and vegan separately gets my vote.

The food here was so delicious we had to return after our first visit to try more poutines. Their burger was flavourful and juicy and their side poutines were a generous size. What stood out about their poutines was that their tastes were unique - it wasn't just regular gravy+cheese curds with stuff dumped on top. The buffalo poutine was a little spicy and the buffalo sauce blended so well with the rest of the poutine. Their poutine of the week was a pulled pork with fried onions on top. The unique BBQ sauce they used went deliciously with the fries and gravy. Overall, we had great service and amazing meals I would highly recommend anyone who hasn't tried Chez Victor's to at least have one meal there!

Lovely restaurant - we sat outside for dinner to make the most of the good weather. The food was delicious with very generous portions. We ordered a chicken club and both the salad des cuisiniers & salad la biquette. The salads were filling with lots of different textures and flavours. Would also particularly suggest trying the house lemonade which was fruity and refreshing. Service was fast considering how busy the restaurant was as well with a large group also sitting outside. Overall really impressed - would highly recommend visiting if in the area!!

Although the gnocchi poutine was good the service was bad. Not only the waitress always started talking in French (even though she knew we spoke English), but also was rude and fast. She didn’t ask us what we would like to drink, and when we had a problem with the dish she didn’t believe us at first (we asked the dish without the bacon, but it came with it). Also, people was working around, and even a loose door was placed in the wall next to us. Other Chez Victor are good but this one is not. Btw, please don’t have the fondue. It is not a fondue, it is just 2 croquettes with a salad.

I went here for dinner during my Quebec city trip with my friend. We went here on recommendation of someone. The restaurant have a very nice ambience. Staff is super friendly. We were very hungry when we got here. We started with fried pickles. They were good. My friend ordered one of the poutines with meat. I tried the vegeterian gnocchi one. I think it was confusion on my part that I thought as it is poutine it will be fries mixed with gnocchi and other toppings. Overall it tasted good. Serving size was pretty big as well. I was not able to finish it. Overall experience was nice.

I went there blindly trusting the reviews. Had a bad feeling when I arrived, saw the sad restaurant and waited 10 minutes for someone to Aknowledge my presence. But it seems there’s actually a race to determine what is worst: the food, the service or the decor. Since I’m a nice, I’ll say they all tied for first (or last, depending on your point of view). I’m giving an extra star because they offer lactose-free and gluten-free options (very extensive menu). No idea if it’s any better than the rest though.

Spacious and has a good ambience. Loved the buffalo chicken burger, but the rest of the dishes were not up to the expectations. We were told the burger comes with a side dish of soup or salad, but they ended up charging extra for the salad (although they didn't for the soup). Staff speak English. We ordered: Vegan poutine - disappointed The veganator - decent Le verguez - just ok Buffalo chicken burger - Spicy and great!

2023: sangria was good. All the burgers are still great. Always appreciate the choices of sauces. Fries could definitely be better. Merguez vogos were tasty but a little too salty. Service was friendly and professional, quickly eplaced my drink with a wasp in it. Nice terrasse, convenient location next to train station especially on Sundays when everything in the station is closed for some reason. 2018: Great burgers and cocktails. Attentive service.

Great variety of burgers and poutines. A burger of the week every week of the year. The quality/price is awesome ! A must in Quebec City for burgers. The 300 St-Paul one is the best of all. Special thanks to its chef and team of proprietaries that work hard on the Victor brand/menu. Each branch got a few unique burgers and signature poutines. Good choice of regional beers. If you are still up, good desserts and a mention to the good coffees/teas. **Place to hit during poutine/burger weeks**

Great staff, amazing burgers. Love the look of this place. Nice terrace too. The booths look really cool, adds a nice touch. Clean bathrooms, not directly in the restaurant (shared with different businesses too I believe) Again, the burgers .. delicious

Went there for lunch and I was able to park right across the street. The food is fresh from the patty to the bun to the vegetables however the taste is just average. The sauce wasn’t that good in any of the burgers and the fries were okay. The service was bad since there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant and she was frustrated all the time

We were waiting for our train at Gare du Palais station and discovered this place nearby. Amazing burgers! I had the Le Guerrier burger and loved it. Fries were crispy, as I requested. The maple creme brulee was delish. Decor is pretty cool too.

Burgers were awesome!! Nothing super mind blowing but pretty solid burgers. The sauces they have are also really great. Only problem with this place was the waitress with shaved underside hair was rude and in a hurry to take our plates away when we weren’t done and especially when there was like 2 people in the restaurant. Experience would’ve been better had the waitress been more attentive to the customers.

I didn’t love the area over here and the restaurant had a very chain like vibe to it (it was rainy and dead but it might be better in the nice weather when the patio is open). I gotta say though, their poutine was the best I’ve ever eaten! Perfectly cooked, crispy fries, with loads of extra squeaky cheese curds and the perfect amount of thick, dark and delicious gravy! So 5 stars for the poutine!

I ordered the burger Montagnard and there was no lettuce, no tomato and never tasted the famous pesto mayo. It was dry! The soup on the other hand was delicious!!!! The popcorn was very good as well and so were the fried calamari and shrimps.

So caring of allergies, and vegan friendly! And I try to speak French as well as I can (which is basically like a 1 year old.), and as soon as she realized she so caringly flipped to English during my pickup. So happy we stopped here. <3

Seemed like a great place. It had a great atmosphere, good aesthetic and a lean vibe. Ordered a vegetarian burger with poutine. The burger was soy based and not that good. The poutine had parmesan instead of cheese curds and was really underwhelming.

My favorite burger joint. They have a few locations in Quebec city. Prices for what you get is reasonable. There are great choices if you are vegetarian or vegan. A neat selection of beer, i had this english brown ale from Frampton Brasse. I didn't take a pic of the food but here is a beer shot instead ... :P

Oh my gosh... i can still remember the taste as if it were yesterday. So delicious!!! I finished the burger but i couldn’t finish the fries! The portions are just so big and sooooo yummy. Its the best place to eat if you’re near the train station. The tofu patty was just so juicy and full of flavor.

  • Steven Baryluk

Nice bistro with good atmosphere. Went to it during Poutine Week and managed to score a duck confit poutine and a smoked meat poutine. Both were delicious! Everyone else in the group enjoyed their various dishes too. Good variety of drinks available for all tastes. Would recommend as a place to eat.

Arrived well before closing time but was denied seating ONLY AFTER we said our party size of 7. Meaning they had no issue with anything until they heard that. Saw people go in after us that together would’ve added to more than our group, weird how their math works.

Nice place ! The fried chicken was good and a little sweet which was a surprising good taste. Good selection of local beers. Easy to park in front of resto. And they have an outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy the sun.

Found this restaurant in Quebec City by chance. I love the food, pleasant and friendly service and it’s good for family, friends and solo guest. The portion were big and delicious...Will recommend if visiting Quebec City.

Lots of craft beer, good selection of Canadian Pub food - and vegetarian friendly. Poutine wasn't the best I've had, but this is a good spot near the old town, but doesn't feel like a trap. Staff was extremely friendly.

  • RT S

The best vegetarian burger ever. It was pretty solid and filling. The fries were awesome as was the spicy sauce. And the vegetarian poutine, amazing !! Thanks to Nicholas for an excellent and super friendly service.
