Yes, I gave them 5 stars and here's why (sorry for the long story, but thank you for reading): I've been going to Rick's Cleaners for 2-3 years and never had an issue! Last month, I dropped off some clothes on a Wednesday and were ready for pick up on that Friday. When I went to pick up until the following week, they brought my clothes out and I checked through them (everyone should be doing this). I noticed that there were some items that were not mine and brought it to the attention of the young man helping me. I also noticed that some of my items were missing (one which was a pair of men's suit pants with huge sentimental value). He went to the back to check with no luck. He took down my information and told me that someone would call me about the missing items. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I called. The same gentleman that helped me answered the phone. I mentioned that I hadn't heard about my missing items and was following up about it. He seemed to know exactly who I was and told me that the information he took down was misplaced and unfortunately nothing had been done because of it (so it was a good thing I called). He took my information down again and affirmed that it would get to someone this time. At least a few more days went by and I didn't hear back, so I decided to stop in the store. I explained the situation to a nice young lady who looked up my account. She told me that there was nothing in the system about having missing items and that essentially nothing had been done by the gentleman or anyone (again). She went to the back to check herself and came back with nothing. Then, she asked me to fill out one of the claims forms sealing the fate of potentially not getting these items back. I became emotional (thank goodness I had sunglasses on) and expressed to her how important these pants were and how important it was to find them. I filled out the form and she took it to the back with her. Lucindia (different from the young lady that helped me; not sure if she's the manager or owner) came out to explain that they would continue to look and had some questions about the items. She saw how emotional I was and consoled me a bit. I left not feeling great about the chance of getting those items back after 2 weeks had already passed. The following day, Lucindia called me to let me know that she had found a pair of pants similar to the ones I was missing. I told her that I would bring the suit jacket paired with it to see if it matched. I wasn't able to go right away and before I could make it to the store with the jacket, (a couple of days later), I received a call early in the morning that they had found ALL of my missing items! I was so happy that it brought me to tears! I went the same day to pick and sure enough, all of my missing items were there! I thanked the woman who called me to tell me that my items were found and I tirelessly thanked the staff working on the day of pick up (the gentleman that originally helped me was not present)! Again, a million thanks to the young lady who helped me out, Lucindia, Cheryl, and everyone else who aided in the search of my irreplaceable items! I will never forget it and will absolutely continue to use Rick's for all of my dry cleaning needs!

Brought in several items for dry cleaning and wash and fold. The two stars are because they made sure to get everything done within three days when I needed it, but I don’t think I’ll be bringing my clothes back here. They pressed a center crease into a pair of pants I specifically asked to not have a crease, a linen blouse had wrinkles pressed into it, and a couple of vintage dresses came back with slight damage. One of those also had some discoloration from age that I pointed out at drop off and asked to be treated, and though I understand not all stains can come out completely, these look completely untouched. I don’t feel entitled to “service” the way some do and really don’t care as long as staff doesn’t ruin my stuff, but having worked in dry cleaners for a while I feel like it’s a basic part of the job to check garments for damage/stains and let a customer know if something went wrong. Overall it was fine for getting things done on a fast turnaround for reasonable prices, but it was still almost $100 and I would have rather paid a little extra to have my garments treated with more care.

I sent a brand new coat to be dry cleaned and it came back with the inside liner all tore up. Mind you this is a brand new jacket that has never been worn and was purchased for my husband's company holiday party. I've been using Rick's for a couple of years and never had this happen to anything of mine I sent in. I've called twice today and left messages but was told they couldn't do anything today, it would be tomorrow. My husband is going to be fuming mad when he sees his new coat. It was suppose to be dry cleaned and it looks like it went through a washer machine. I'm so disappointed. Now who will I use as my Dry Cleaner? Hope and pray this will all work out. Thank you Ian for stopping by to look at the jacket. I appreciate your time and effort with this matter. You have been an awesome dry cleaners for years and I'm sorry for the previous post. It was posted out of distraught and frustration. Please accept my apology and I will continue to keep coming to you. Thank you again for your help.

One star only because I HAD to give the a star to leave a review. I guess I can justify that by saying, "at least they had no problem taking my money". 4/22 I dropped my shirt off. I go in to pick it up and they LOST it. I get the number for corporate and after promises to call me back, here we are darn near June and no response. Looking at the claim ticket I see, "not responsible for items left over 30 days" which implies they WERE responsible for the item the rest of the time. I called on Thursday, again, and was told someone would look into it and get back to me, again. At this point, I'm insisting on email correspondence because I'm getting tired of the runaround and want a paper trail. Thursday, Friday... Surprise, surprise, no email nor call. They said they were going to send a claim form? Great! That doesn't compensate for my having to function as a collector and the time lost. So, go to RICKS! (If you want to lose your clothes and time).

I don't recommend this place. My boyfriend went to pickup one clothes and the rude guy behind the counter informed him that they lost my dresses and they would call me the next day once the manager looks for them. I did not receive a call the next day, so 30 min before they closed, I called them myself and they said they still had not found them (nor had the manager looked even though she was there that day). I drove there myself bc I could already tell this business isn't reliable. The same hispanic guy was annoyed and I asked him if I could look myself since I know exactly what the dresses looked like, but he said I wasn't allowed to but I could stand at the counter while he pushed the button to rotate the clothes. After about 1 min of looking, I spotted my dresses. (Thankfully! They are my faves!) They still had the tag attached so I have no clue why it was so hard to find them. I will not be trusting them with my clothes again!

I made a review 2 years ago but now I have to edit with less stars. I'm still having the same issue. The only reason, I spend so much money with this business is the convenience. This is probably my 6th complaint. I would think they would finally get it right after 4 years of doing business here but NO! This last time, I had around 16 garments. Instructions given multiple time on crease down seam. I was assured. I even told her to review the notes on my account. She understood. I arrived Wednesday to pick up my garments and two garments were not even done. Yep, still sitting in a laundry bag!! One garment couldn't be located and one pants flat pressed. My flight left out at 4:30 am next morning so I had to rush and purchase new dress pants for a funeral. I was infuriated but remained calm. I was refunded to say the least but my time, I can never get back. I have really need to consider my options at this point.

Had an annoying experience here - I dropped off four items on Monday afternoon and asked if they would be ready by Tuesday (they said do, despite the 24hour service advertising…). I said fine and that Wednesday was the latest. I went right at 5pm on Wednesday (when my ticket said the clothes would be ready) and only three items were ready - my formal dress wasn’t ready, which I needed since I was leaving the next morning for a wedding. I waited at the store for 30 min so they could look for the dress and they said it wouldn’t be pressed but they could get it for me. They finally brought it out and the dress still had stains, and I fully believe they didn’t even dry clean it. I paid a premium since it was a formal dress ($16.99 as opposed to the $4.79 price per garmet guarantee…). I would like to request a refund for the $16.99 because this experience was horrible and I will have a hard time returning.

We have been having pants laundered at Cameron Road location for years. Yesterday I picked pants for my child and all 4 pairs had broken buttons. I returned to location and was told they would send pants back out for an additional 2 days to repair buttons. I explained to Mgr that I wasn't able to wait due to the pants being used for school. I asked for a refund so that I could take pants to a seamstress near by and was told no because the pants were completed. I said how is she supposedly to wear pants with no buttons. She then offered to hand sew the buttons to the pants after. The buttons are flimsy and not secured to the pants tightly. This is the second time the customer service at this location has been horrible. There will not be a third time as my business will be taken elsewhere. I didn't know a small 15 dollar refund would hurt their business.

I took a wedding dress for a cleaning and cost $90. It took a month for it to be ready. When I picked it up it was still the same, with makeup stain and other marks around it. Went back and they took my dress for another cleaning with no charge since they did not do the job right. When I pick it up for the second time it was the same!.It seemed like they did not do anything to it. Went back for the third time and Sharol said she would take care of it and she would call me when it’s ready. I called in a week and they told me that they would call me when it was ready. A month goes by and still didn’t revived a call from Sharol so I called for them to tell it was ready. When I check it the makeup stain was still there. So don’t waisted your time going in just take it somewhere else. Sadly a bad experience for me.

I came to pick up my dry cleaned clothes, and their computer system kept going down, so they couldn't find my order online even though they sent me a text saying it was ready 2 days ago. I was confused as of what to do because this was the first time it happened to me. They said it was up to me. Up to me to do what? I didn't know what to do because no one gave me any options? Do I wait here or do I come back later or my clothes were lost forever? They just kept saying it was up to me without any explanation even after I asked what my options were. Then, I said I have time to wait, so they came in to look for it manually. Came back with my clothes 2 minutes later. So it was not that hard to find; they just didn't want to do it and was rude instead. The price was reasonable, but I don't think I will come back.

Waited 10 minutes for the guy to recognize me when I shared with him that he had ignored me he said to me I said I’m sorry how unprofessional After this encounter I have the store manager to call me I thought that was amazing to follow up on a complaint most people don’t my hats off I even went back to the store because there’s not enough for the manager to Apologize for bad service but to be honest when I’m back to the store I got the same young man waiting on me I could tell his attitude changed thank you I’m not the mina lagrange just a customer who is used to getting what I pay for service again Shakespeare says a good man often do a beard in the bones and the bad news on forever I just needed I’ll let you know recovery was absolutely impressive

I tried Rick's twice. I asked for light starch and my shirts came back stiff. The next trip I went with dry clean only. I paid 3.79 to have a button on a pair of slacks replaced. The claim ticket said they would be back in two week. WTH! Two weeks to replace a button?! Lucky for me they didn't replace the button and the slacks were ready the next day. I couldn't get a refund for the fee for the button replacement because the person working didn't know how issue a refund. I was asked to come back in the morning like I don't have other ish to do. Their prices aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. I'm going back to Jack Brown who has the quality and service I'm looking for.

I had two clear requests: (1) Please fold my shirts, and (2) Can you fix a button on one of the shirts? "Yes" When picking up the shirts neither were done. I pointed this out. The worker there was comatose. "You can come back and get them in two days.." "Sorry, I'm going out of town. Anything you can do now?" "No." "Are you going to express your regret about the mishap? It's your choice. I will leave a review." "You can leave your shirts here and we'll send them back." Rick's Cleaners is unprofessional. $4+ per shirt you'd think they'd do better. I'd rather iron my shirts.

Dropped shirt off last week. Shirt was clean (never worn), so I told the lady I didn't need it laundered but needed HEAVY STARCH. Of course, it has to be laundered/washed also, which is fine, but since this is for a wedding that I'm in this week I needed HEAVY STARCH. I was assured I would get heavy starch. Picked the shirt up today and guess what ... no starch whatsoever. I did NOT get what I was promised. Now I have a wrinkled shirt to wear to my sister-in-law's wedding. The store would NOT give a refund, so now we will be disputing the charge through our credit cards.

Worst service next time i will drive a bit farther to a different cleaners. I took in a men’s long sleeve button down shirt. I ask for heavy starch they don’t ask any questions. Same like always. I go pick up and only the front and back part is iron. On the sleeve in part looks like the iron was not even pass on. I let the guy know and all he tells l . “You didn’t ask for the line on the sleeves” “ Theirs nothing I can do “ you didn’t ask for the line and their nothing I can do come back Monday. “ He was no help. Polite, and professional. I dropped off my winter coat to be cleaned,and have a loophole mended. They told me the mend would take two weeks which I mentioned I thought was long, her response was they send it off site to be done by a third party; I accepted being only $6,and they said would text me when ready. After 3 weeks, I went by to see if coat was ready,and it was . I politely mentioned I had not been contacted as they said. She confirmed my number,and said next time they would. Have yet to return, but plan to continue patronizing them.

EDIT: I went back to this location with my items that were wrinkled, and the management cleaned them again for me, free of charge. I have visited this dry cleaners twice now. I found out about the location from a friend because of their low prices. The first visit went very smoothly with no issues. The second time I visited, the staff was unsure which items were mine and called me because they had mixed my items with another person’s. When I picked up my suit, it was wrinkled and I will have to take it elsewhere to be cleaned again.

I took an out fit last week for my fiancés late father. Simple request,dry clean and starch and no pleats on the pants. When we go pick them up they are hard as wood and pleated, the lady in the front chuckled and said it's not that bad. I told her who they were for and they just mumbled like idiots. So now I have a fiance who just lost her father and is morning and frustrated over this clothing situation. We will not be coming back and making sure to tell others to stay clear away from this place.

Editing this review. 4 stars because 3 pairs of my pants were lost, but they have successfully retained myself, and others I am sure, for their customer service and diligence in correcting the issue. They were very empathetic and understanding of my situation and offered full reimbursement. Other cleaners I have used would only ever give me a refund for the cleaning itself. I will be continuing my business there and I would recommend everyone else do so as well.

Took my UPS iniforms on Tuesday morning and expected to pick them up after 5pm as advertised. Unfortunately with my schedule I could not make it by that time. So I called and asked the earliest they would be ready. They stopped and found out that my clothes were ready. I asked if my girlfriend could pick them up. They said absolutely and she picked them up by noon. Awesome service and prompt. Definitely would recommend them. .

My clothes were late I had suits getting cleaned here. They said it will be done on one day and I ask them what I need to put a rush on them for them to be done when I need them. The lady told me know when the day came and I called they were not ready then she told me they will be ready at 7 PM, knowing that they close at 5 PM. I had to wait a whole Nother day to receive my suits and I had to cancel a very important meeting.

Excellent staff, good hours, easy to get to, very professional. Friendly, texts you immediately when available, texts use reminders, and they don’t throw your stuff away after 30 days. One of my friends came back a year later, and they still had his stuff, clean and ready to go. If it’s not right, they’ll make it right. I like this place, 1000 times better than Jack Brown, and I don’t dislike either.

Rick's is usually very conscientious about making certain the cleaning has been thoroughly and completely done. I have learned, however, to always check my cleaning before leaving, as there have been times when something needed to be redone, and I didn't want to make a return trip to the city from Manor. These situations have been very few and they have always made the cleaning project right.

In the last year they've updated their system so that they can text you when your order is ready and easily look you up in the system to start your order. Employees are efficient when you reach the counter, so be courteous to patrons in line and have your clothes ready for them. The have good COVID protections, with employees wearing masks and barriers between them and customers.

I came in saying I needed a dress ironed by tomorrow, and it was confirmed that I would be able to receive the dress at anytime the next day. I came back 24 hours later, and my girlfriend’s dress was gone! I waited for 3+ hours while they searched for the dress. My girlfriend came from Italy to attend a wedding here in Austin, just to not be able to attend thanks to Rick’s.

Terrible customer service. Was told on Friday that I could pickup my cloths around 4:30-5pm. On Saturday looked up directions and online said it was closed at 4 called ahead to let them know I was ony way. They said they would wait for 30 more minutes. I arrived at 4:13pm and no one was there. Ruined my night. Will never be returning here again! Worst cry cleaners ever!!!!

This was my first time using this dry cleaners and I chose them because of the location and the prices seem reasonable. They also had a descent rating. I had 2 shirts and a pair of pants dry cleaned. My white shirt looked as if it was ironed without being cleaned. Pretty upsetting that I didn't notice this until I am out of town getting ready for a funeral.

I tried for the second time to get week s worth of chef coats heavy starched and like the first try. ... Coats ain't starched and they look dingy. I'm looking for a cleaners who'll starch em up hard like a button down and at a fair price cus I'll come 4x a month. Think I paid around 3.50-4$pretty coat and that's like 2+button downs heavy starch.

I highly recommend this location!! I had a dress express pressed and missed the time for pickup for a wedding on a Sunday. It was an EMERGENCY and they didn't have to but they made it so that I could get my dress which was super important for my role as MOH! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your customer service and going above and beyond!!

First time I went to Rick’s they misplaced one of my items at another store for weeks. Gave them a second chance. Told me my clothes would be ready for pickup two days later at 5pm and when I went to pick them up, only 1 of 3 was ready. Didn’t have them for an event. Very unimpressed. Two stars because the dry cleaning quality is good

I went to Rick’s for the first time this week, and it has been the worst experience of my life. They lost two of my pants and two ties. Called every day to ask if they’ve found them and they always come up with a different excuse. Worst service ever. Find some other place in Austin for dry cleaning if you want to keep your clothes.

*edit* - the owner Ian called and followed up to make sure I could bring the duvet back to get the buttons fixed. He was very nice and turned around a sour situation. I’ll continue to use them thanks to the great customer service. Brought our duvet cover here and they broke one of the buttons and didn't say anything.

Been my go to dry cleaner since I move into Mueller about 10 yrs ago. I now live in Pflugerville but still drive down to take my things there. Ian and the staff there are great. I do wish they were back on a consistent next day dry cleaning service since I drop off on Fridays and fly out on Monday mornings.

Managed to make my clothes even more wrinkled (including a crease in my tux that I can’t remove) and turned my white shirt into a red-white-and-blue stained Independence Day costume. I haven’t had many good experiences getting dry cleaning in ATX but this has put into focus what bad quality looks like.

I’ve been coming here since 2016 and never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and thoughtful, and I’ve never had a lost or damaged item. I went to a “green” place just once and came back to Ricks. I’ll continue to be a loyal and appreciative customer for the foreseeable future.

Lost comforter in ice storm, but assured us they would find it. They lost power and had to manually make tickets. What a nightmare for them. They located the comforter quickly and notified us. Thanks for responding so quickly. We have used Rick’s for 5 years now. We keep coming back!!!!

They have horrible service. I went twice to get my clothes dry cleaned and they stole from me twice when I asked about them, they claimed they didn’t know what I was talking about when I had proof. Never going back again avoid this place at all costs. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Service has always been exemplary. As a lifelong resident of Austin. Rick's cleaners has always been my go to cleaners for all my dry cleaning, stain removal and alteration needs. So glad Ricks has managed to make through the pandemic for continued service to the Austin communities.

Lost all of my clothing. Everything was expensive clothing and they are forcing me to find receipts (two years ago) to cover only a fraction of my costs. There was another individual who had his clothing lost as well. Don't let the made up 5-star reviews trick you.

I took some clothes there to get stains out but with no luck. In all fairness, the lady behind the counter advised me in advance that they probably couldn’t get the stains out. So I would say that for regular cleaning they do just fine, just not for stains.

I've used Rick's for years and never had a bad experience. I most appreciate the reasonable prices for quality dry cleaning. Taking a thrift find for dry cleaning elsewhere would easily exceed the purchase price of the garment.

Door was open, lights were on but no one was at the counter. I waited, then called out a few times since I could hear voices in the back and no one ever came out so I left. Luckily I was just trying to drop off something.

I like the way that they launder and heavy starch iron my jeans except that the only parts that look heavy starched are the legs, the rest isn't crisp at all ... I don't think I'll be using this business anymore
