I got bit by a squirrel (don't ask - long story)! I then walked to this Rite Aid as it was the closest one to the scene of the attack. I asked the pharmacist if they gave tetanus shots. She didn't seem to know and asked someone else. They both said that they didn't do that here and sent me to the nearest hospital. On the way to the hospital, my boyfriend and I were nearly assaulted by a man with pliers and a phone receiver. Thankfully he missed us and we continued to the hospital. We were surprised that the hospital was surrounded by an iron fence and took a while to figure out how to enter the building (and to verify that the hospital was actually open and in working order). Once inside, I was afraid beyond any point that I had been in a long time. I would have rather gotten the tetanus shot from the plier-wielding crazy man we had encountered on the street than to deal with the insanity we experienced inside. Two and a half hours later, I had received my Tetanus shot and also a prescription for antibiotics. This morning I went back to this same Rite Aid to get my prescription. There was a different lady working at the pharmacy than was there the previous day. This lady was very nice, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about my ordeal which was the opposite of the assistance I received from the previous employee. After hearing about my crazy time at the hospital, she asked why we didn't just come to the this pharmacy for the Tetanus shot instead. I then informed her that I HAD been there and was waited on my someone who wasn't very competent in her job. Morel of the story: Don't get bit by a squirrel. Also don't believe what they tell you at this pharmacy especially when squirrel-related attacks are involved.

Easily one of the worst Rite Aids in NYC, and perfectly exemplifies the kind of adversarial relationship that exists between RA and its customers. I've lived in this area for nearly 2 years and while it was never great and always understaffed it's somehow gotten even worse in the last year. When you enter this store you're walking into the first circle of hell. If you're thinking you're going to pop in here and grab something quickly, please let all the hope drain from your spirit. In terms of toiletries, what hasn't been locked up is constantly cleared out and infrequently restocked. And should you need something or maybe two or three things behind the glass, may god have mercy on your soul - you're going to be pressing the call button over and over again for minutes on end while the poor guy they've got unlocking and relocking these cases trudges through the aisles hating his life. Why RA implemented this approach to getting the products you need is beyond me; apparently it was to stop shoplifting, but a corporate entity as large as RA has the margins to account for those kinds of minimal losses. It really just feels like they're trying to make the shopping experience as draining, inconvenient, and inefficient as possible. Once you've got all your items you'll be made to wait in a long, slow-moving line for the registers, which are almost always being run by one sorely overworked person. Come here only if you're too weak and sick to take the bus to a CVS or your local deli/pharmacy doesn't have something that you urgently need.

I've lived across the street from this rite aid about 10 months, only had good things to say about it until now, but the recent decision to remove the self checkout registers has completely changed the experience. The ideal of a rite aid is quick service but in spite of removing 4 self register counters they usually only have one person on cashier at a time.... I personally don't have the patience for a 20 minute wait in line every time I want a candy bar or bottle of water and have now found myself walking in and grabbing things only to drop it when I realize the line to check out is half the store long... The staff are all really nice and I'll still go for certain household good but will be heading to the local bodega for little things for now on :/

The pharmacy department is TERRIBLE here. Every time I come I need to wait... prescriptions I've had to pay for here, were no charge at walgreens.... I switched my stuff, and my fault I forgot to switch my son's stuff. It was ordered by Dr Thursday evening... I came Sunday, they told me they didn't have it. (Medicine needed for school).. but no one.called me. Today is Monday. I got a text.at 6pm that the prescription was ready, I got here at 610, waited till 615 and was told I had to wait 10 minutes. But I got a text it was ready. She has to count it out. IT TAKES 10 MINUTES TO COUNT 30 PILLS?? I've got stuff to do and I'm never in and out of here. Going to call Dr today to switch to walgreens before in forget. Wish there was ZERO stars.

Don't even bother. Everything is locked up and the security guards are stretched too thin to help anyone. You have to wait 4-5 minutes per product you need to buy. So the whole ordeal of getting just some essentials is minimum 30 minutes. The money this Rite Aid is 'saving' in theft avoidance is likely less than the business it is losing because people cannot actually buy anything here! I either go somewhere else or having to order from Bezos, which I hate to do. If you can manage to actually pick up any products, the line is 10+ people deep at all times. Same with the pharmacy line. Best to commit an hour if you need to go here. The staff is nice enough, it just seems like poor management and an understaffed workforce.

What everyone is saying about this place is true, it is a pure mess. Today they had a have a sale one ginger ale but when I went to pay for it but the price was different and when I brought it up all she did was point out the normal non sale price, 3 time without even answering or looking into it and this is the second time I dealt with the rudeness there. It wasn't a big price change but it's just the principal of it and the face that she clear didn't care to do any part of her job makes me wish there was a Walgreens being build because I would go there in a heart beat, that place is only in business because they are the only option honestly.

I don’t usually leave reviews but, if I could leave a minus star I would. The pharmacy here is trash. The workers are rude and have no customer service skills. They act like they are doing you a favor when it’s what they are being paid to do! I have been forced to use them because this area has limited pharmacy and drug store access. If you can avoid them please do it. You’ll be doing yourself a favor. The store itself is also bad. Everything is locked due to theft. It takes forever to get someone to help you get a product that is locked. There are long lines and general poor attitude demonstrated by staff here. Again, avoid them if you can.

Avoid at all costs. The worst Rite Aid and pharmacy in New York. So much stuff is locked up. The employees are very, very slow. There is usually only one working the register, even with a really long line. There are no self checkout machines to speed things up. Even the pharmacy is bad. I dropped off a few prescriptions a little bit before closing, the said it'll be ready at 9am the next day. That's fine. I show up after 2pm the next day and it hadn't been filled yet. They said it would be ready in another 15 minutes. I needed to get to work! I already spent a few minutes in a long line and had no time to spare.

I’ve been going here for years and no issues but today I was told I couldn’t by my sick 11 year old son medicine because I needed state ID. This is the first time I’m hearing of that and it’s ridiculous. Thankfully the grocery store across the street had the medicine. So a Pharmacy that sells medicine can’t give it to me but the grocery store can … Interesting. Shoutout to female cashiers with the nasty attitudes when I tried to ask how long this policy has been in place. If you don’t like your job get a new one don’t take it out on the customers.

Unfortunately I think imma have to ditch this pharmacy. At any given time it’s more of them behind the counter than us on the line and it still don’t matter to them. Their work behind the counter is obviously more important than us waiting on line. I’m usually in a good mood right up till I join the line. I had to leave the line today without my prescription because of the wait time. I’ll just call my doctor and see where else I can give my business to. The best thing about 960 is the bumpy parking lot. I wish I could give them a even lower score.

The management skills is horrific!!! They’re Rude and Abrupt. There’s a woman in there about 511 she looks very unclean she’s very abrupt with her responses. It’s a shame when you’re on people refuse to be professional and cordial to the customers who were raised and or reside in the neighborhood. Thank goodness for the neighborhood gentrifying. At least then they’ll change management and the new employees will greet you with a smile or offer assistance. Very sad.... They will wonder why they no longer hold the position they now have!!!!

I wrote an earlier review when upset and am revising it. I have postpartum depression and need my medication to function. I was sent home with a bottle that said 30 when there were only 2 in there. I tried to speak to the pharmacist about it, but she was dismissive and refused to talk to me. I can’t fill the medication elsewhere because it’s illegal to refill for 2 weeks. So I’m stuck without the medication I desperately need because either someone took from my bottle or the pharmacist incorrectly filled it.

Horrible customer support, non existent service. i have to reach out multiple times to make sure my prescriptions go through because they don’t at several occasions although everything would be confirmed from my doctor’s. Everything is locked up, you need keys for even the milk and drinks. There’s just one cashier at all times although the line might run all the way back to the pharmacy. Very unsanitary and unwelcoming. Sad we only have this pharmacy in the area, we need more competition

Always a shopper at this store. The pharmacy services are bad when there always a long line. But I always go to this store. Until one night i went to get cigarettes and a large big black dyke woman as a worker became very disrespectful because she wanted my ID before she even looked if there was cigarettes. It was just here tone like I have to give it to her now or she won't sell me cigarettes. Now I would understand if I didn't have ID. But I did. I would never go back there

This Rite Aid is by far the worst pharmacy I’ve had. Every time I try to pick up my medication there’s an issue, without fail. Yesterday, I was told that their fax machine wasn’t working, which was why they didn’t have my meds. My doctor doesn’t even send faxes! It might lure you in with better hours compared to local pharmacies, but those places care about people and their health leagues more than this place does. Give your business to a local pharmacy that cares instead.

This is the worst rite aid! If you can please avoid this place. Everything is locked up an you can’t find anybody for help you get anything from the locked up shelves. The only good thing about this place is the parking lot. The lines are long and the workers are less than professional. I usually shop at Walgreens but they didn’t have what I needed. Only one lady there seems to care, she may be the manager. Sad place. Wish I could give this place a zero .

*This is specifically to the pharmacy and not the overall store.* Hours online may not reflect their actual hours. Says the pharmacy opens at 8am and I’ve called numerous times with no answer. Either they’re not open or a “valued customer” is being ignored. On anything else I wouldn’t be bothered so much but this is a pharmacy. They’re playing with ppls medications and lives! I shouldn’t have to beg them to answer their phones.

Unlike Manhattan, many stores in Brooklyn discriminate against my service dog (a Black and White Staffordshire Bull Terrier often mistaken for one of the over 20 breeds called Pit Bulls) was allowed in, the staff was nice and friendly including the security. The store was well stocked , I don't understand why so many negative reviews the service was like I have come to expect in Rite-aids everywhere and that was GREAT.

I was not impressed with most of the workers at this Rite Aid, I was inquiring about the cost of a Blood Pressure Monitor, and as polite as I was, is as Rude the staff was, and after being transferred back and forth for minutes, I was fortunate enough to reach this one Angel, who took the time to assist me, the one Star I gave is for her, other than her service they should all be working elsewhere

I told him it’s 30 mins left he said that all stores close 20 mins early.. That’s a lie I been going there since they opened been there 10 mins before the store closed.. Literally tried calling the pharmacy 10 times in a row and no response except for the automated service. Just had knee surgery and I was trying to see if they had my prescription in stock. It's only when I pressed the button that I was calling from a doctor's office, they picked up.This is unacceptable, if you all don't want to answer the phone at your job, find another one.

Slowest service on earth, how do they get paid to work lol. I never come here before work I spend my money where they are awake and ready do to their jobs lol. Very obnoxious and rude cashier. I went in to buy condoms with my girlfriend, and instead of just doing his job, the cashier decided to examine the brand I was buying and show it to his co-worker, before asking me snarky questions about it. I told him to just let me pay, and when I was leaving he told me to "enjoy." Incredibly rude, especially in front of my girlfriend.

I agree with other reviews. Costumer service here is really bad. No one greets costumers and they always seem in a bad mood, including management. I stopped going to the pharmacy to get my prescriptions because staff is incompetent. The waiting times are ridiculous. I try to avoid going here. It's always a bad experience when I go. I will never go here again. The website said they were open. A guy standing outside told me they were closed. They looked open. Once I went inside he started telling me off, and asked me if I was deaf. Whoever manages here should post when it’s closed on their website, and have a better training program for customer service purposes.

Not from that area but I was passing and needed some stuff. I was in hurry. Rushed in and I was greeted and helped by an awesome employee. He was literally running around with me and finding me stuff I needed and then ran to self checkout and checked me out in no time. I would give 6 stars. They are the best!!!

This is NOT a 24 hour pharmacy as advertised on Google or on the store signage. It's a 24 hour Rite-Aid. There is a difference. I know that now, having sent my hospital discharge medication here and then being in pain and unable to pick it up until the next day.

Awful pharmacy. I was not allowed by a guard with a dog smaller than Midium size and I did not buy the medication I needed. So this is not a friendly place and pet friendly. you need to hang flyers on the door that dogs are not allowed!!!!

This pharmacy s u c k s. I've had doctors call in Rx multiple times and every time I got there it's a different excuse as to why the Rx isn't available.

Went at 10:30 pm and were denied entry, security says store is closed for the night, despite posted hours open till 11 on the door and on Google maps.

Don't bother shopping here. Everything is in locked cabinets that require an employee to open, and there are no employees around to open them for you.

Wait in line at the pharmacy for 20 minutes to find out they are ouy of Sudafed and any generic equivalnt. How does a place this big even run out?

They take forever at check out. Lines are very long, the staff is rude and completely inefficient. They need new management and employees ASAP

I don't know why other people rate this shop poorly. The prices are good, as is the selection. You can even get chips, drinks and ice cream.

Pharmacy is always full in the afternoon/evening. Best to go in the morning . Don’t even bother calling them, they don’t answer the phone
