We purchased a dining table and four chairs from their recent store clearance. We first spoke to a young salesman who was incredibly helpful, and in hindsight, was the best part of our experience at this store. We advised we would like to make a purchase, so a senior salesman took over the sale. He took down our details and then gave us a slip, and then told us to take this to the sales desk to continue the transaction. We waited at the desk while the three customer service personnel finished their conversation, discussing who owned the cigarettes that were in the drawer, to process our payment. However the members of staff continued this conversation and engaged in another admiring a baby within the store whilst taking our payment. We were then asked to speak to another of the three staff members to arrange delivery. As delivery was an extra £35, I was shocked to be automatically assigned a delivery date, rather than being asked which date would be the most convenient. Although we were able to arrange an appropriate date, I feel this highlights the antiquated sales system they have in place. The following Saturday our new table and chairs were delivered, however three of the chairs arrived with dents and abrasions and the table also had a deep gouge out of the top. We pointed this out to delivery staff who took photographs. We were told not to call the store as there wouldn't be anyone there to discuss this and to contact them Monday. After a number of calls we were offered a refund of £60 or a complete refund. We pointed out £60 wouldn't cover the price of a repair, so subsequently we then asked if someone to be sent out to repair the goods if not to arrrange a complete refund. They arranged for someone inspect and make repairs. He was able to fill and apply polish to the table, however he was only able to buff the chairs ,so we can still see the damage which was caused between purchase and delivery. We have sent a letter to store and are awaiting a reply. This is the second time we have purchased from Roomes, and we should have learnt our lesson the first time, as even then, items then were delivered scratched and unfinished. We will not be returning soon, if we ever return at all.

I am very disappointed with my blinds ordered from rooms The lady in the blinds department is alway off or when you do speak to her she’s rude and unhelpful. I paid just under 4k for blinds I had to wait several weeks before they arrived and keep chasing with no one coming back to me I was not an expert I saw a small sample of a material, which I thought looked really lovely. About two months later the blinds arrived and they looked awful the material was all floppy and did not sit right it was wonky when it was put up on my window and the curtains were about 3 inches too short from the floor so all the draft comes through. I complained and I was told they would come and inspect and on the inspection I was told there was nothing wrong and that’s what they were supposed to look like ! I’m devastated. In addition to this I called up recently and told them the blinds have not been put on the windows correctly the strings are all different levels and that might explain why they’re wonky I asked could you come and fix them please and I was told I could do it myself or if I want them to send somebody out I will be charged. Disgusting customer service I feel like I’ve paid a fortune for absolute rubbish. I’m stuck with it

Thank you to the manufacturer and a HUGE thank you to Stef & Dan from Roomes who were so proactive in every way. Pre delivery I received a first class service but post delivery not so much. Expensive furniture badly made and unfit for purpose yet Roomes believe the 2 technicians who came out from the manufacturer to assess and who declared there were no issues having informed me they were not allowed to detail any negatives.

Excellent service from the time I went in and chose my armchair, a Thursday, right up to delivery the following Tuesday. I was given advice on care and cleaning while in the shop and also, while still in the shop, received a text confirming the delivery date. On the Monday afternoon I received text and email with a delivery window for the next day and a tracking link. On Tuesday I received an email which narrowed the delivery to a 30 minute window. I used the tracking link to follow the delivery and the tracking was far superior to some other companies I have had to use previously. The delivery team were quick, careful and respectful. I can’t praise the entire experience highly enough.

We visited the furniture store, wanting to look at a dining room sideboard. Which we were able to do, the were happy to price match a cheaper retailer so we have ordered. Whilst there we spotted a lovely (to us) sofa set which again they were very competitive on price with and we are currently considering placing an order. What was very refreshing here was that no one bothered you with sales talk/can I help you sir..... Which gives you time to browse without feeling under pressure. Very highly recommended

I like the wooden furniture I've bought from here, a lot of their sofas are very old-fashioned in comparison. The only thing that put me off was the salesman who ignored me when I was on my own, but as soon as my mother joined me followed us round like a hungry dog. I tried to get someone else to help me instead but they insisted I speak to him. It made me quite uncomfortable to be followed around the whole store.

Well displayed furniture in a large store on 2 floors with sweeping staircase and lift access. A wide range of styles and brands from expensive to middling. Has frequent sales so always worth checking for discounted prices but it's not a cut-price outlet. If you're looking for well made furniture definitely worth visiting. Good parking as well.

I've bought several high value sofas, wardrobes and beds from Roomes over the years as have many of my friends and family. My last purchase was a few weeks ago and as always the quality of the product and the service is excellent. This is a very professional company and I highly recommend them

Needs to be double the size, spent 29 minutes driving round and round before we found a space...talking of space, the parking spaces seem smaller than most. Considering many of those needing to park will have sick or injured passengers, very tight parking spaces is not helpful.

Excellent service from all in the furniture store. Spent lots of time changing chairs and table lay outs and did an additional deal on the sale items. Looking forward to a good delivery experience?! Always buy locally and support your town, it works for everyone.

It is a shop that offers a wide range of furniture, their furniture is overpriced and also they have mixed traditional with a modern fashion which it makes the furniture flimsy and fragile. Also they have over illustrated the items trying to fool on the quality.

It could be 5-star but design and quality come at a (big) cost. Definitely worth visiting if you want to see something different than the mass-production China made furniture. Perhaps then the price difference worth the effort.

Just taken delivery of our table and chairs. We were told a possible 6 weeks waiting time but they arrived after 2 weeks of ordering so extremely pleased. Brilliant service from all staff. Highly recommend.

Really positive experience. The shop/showroom is much larger than it appears, with customer parking at the back. Great choice of good quality items and very polite and patient staff! 100% would recommend!

Had a Specific Leather Sofa type (a Chaise Option) in mind but very Disappointed that Roomes had absolutely Nothing to offer. So back to that Other Furniture store in Waltham Cross it would seem!
