The long player local bar. It truly embodies the local spirit while being located in one of the most highly tourist trafficked areas. People dig the cash only prices that are especially a draw plus the infamous free all beef rotisserie hotdog option when you buy a drink. NY Sports teams are a draw. The back area has a large projection screen. The tunes are a testament to the music minded that flock here from disco to country to classic rock and Pop... not just the top tunes, these patrons dig deep. It gets crowded and patience is key in getting a drink when it's jammed. Take a deep breath and just take it easy... you're guaranteed to end up in a good conversation and go with the flow. There's booths and lots of barstools. The host aka the 6ft pig out front welcomes all. There's an ATM at the front entrance. It reminds me of a good local pub anywhere USA or working class neighborhood...salt of the earth.

What’s not to love about Rudy’s? Buy a cheap beer and get a free hotdog… I came in and was helped by Franko who was super friendly and knew how to chat. I tried both their house beers and they’re honestly pretty good! Also for $3 and $4 respectively they’re probably the cheapest drinks you can get in the area if not all of Manhattan. The hotdogs honestly hit the spot and make the experience even better. A fresh hotdog with a line of ketchup and a line of mustard is all that’s needed. Also to note that this is THE Rudy’s from the Steely Dan song Black Cow. Apparently the guys used to hang out there in the 70s Definitely a must visit if the vibe of this place interests you and they’re open 8am-4am basically every day so there’s no excuse

Great bar in Hell's Kitchen with a great range of beers. It was very busy when I went in but the wait was almost non-existent as the bartender was very quick. I tried 4 different draft beers, including their own (a blonde and a red), the blonde being my favourite of the two. At $3 a pint with a free hot dog, it's kind of a hard deal to beat! The prices for a pint on draft ranged from $3 (the aforementioned Rudy's blonde) to $8 for a wicked weed sour. Definitely somewhere I'd drink in again if I'm back in New York.

This cash-only bar in Hell's Kitchen serves a few middling beers at very cheap prices. Additionally, patrons get hot dogs with each drink, covered in mustard and ketchup. The main bar area quickly becomes crowded, though there's a space in the back with a large projector wall and a few more seats. Most of the patrons seemed young, probably drawn by the inexpensive beers. Overall, I liked this place in some regards.

I've been coming here since college days. It has a good atmosphere when not too crowded. The staff is friendly and attentive. This place is cash only though! So make sure to either bring some or use the Walgreens down the block to avoid ATM fees inside. You can also get hotdogs if you eat meat with your drinks. They always have a $5 shot and beer combo, so it is very affordable!

Best secret in Manhattan-Hells Kitchen. "Cold Beer and Hot Dogs" this is your place. Drink specials crazy cheap too. If you're a 1st time goer, here is a tip.....bring your manners to this fine establishment and show respect for the folks slinging drinks or find out where Kitchen got its 1st name! One of my favorite places while visiting Times Square.

Great spot for cheap drinks where local beers are on tap and local ciders offered. They also have wine and mix drinks. You get a free hot dog (Hebrew national) with your drink order. We went early on Saturday (9:30ish) with no wait to get in. They card you at the door. It was very busy but we only waited 5ish minutes to order drinks. There is some seating inside but first come first serve. When we left there was a line to get in. Overall a great dive bar in NYC!

Best drinks for a cheap price. Just get the all American just do it you won’t regret it. Super fun atmosphere with nice and very customer oriented bartenders. Was pretty packed but managed to share a table and had a great time! Will definitely be returning.

Brilliant place! Cheapest beers we found in NYC by far, between $3-9 depending on your choice, & each beer comes with a free delicious hotdogs too! Service was quick, place was packed but everyone was friendly & a really good vibe. Definitely recommend & will go again when we're next in the area.

I went here on a Saturday night and it was insane to put it lightly. If you’re looking for the vibe of an overcrowded frat party, this is your spot! The bartenders were great though. Incredibly efficient and nice. I’m sure Rudy’s has a chiller vibe on like… a Tuesday, I just happened to come on the worst day of the week lol

Rudy's bar and grill is cash only. one of the best happy hours in Hell Kitchen neighborhood. Their house beers are actually quite decent. They serve hot dogs with a beer purchase. Another solid dive bar in one of my favorite neighborhoods. Service and atmosphere is great, people are friendly and talkative. Seems to be a good soccer bar. Massive projector in the patio and could small screens inside.

This place is insanity. $5 for a shot of Jim Beam and a pint of beer! Only in New York! They also have free hot dogs! What the!? On a Monday early evening it was packed to the gills! There were three Australian women who were having a great time, not to judge I just wish they would speak English the way it's supposed to be spoken.

Easily my favorite bar in New York. They don't have a large selection of craft beers, but receiving a whole beef hot dog with every purchase is the nicest part about this restaurant. It was a perfect pit stop for me as a hot dog aficionado while traversing the streets of the concrete jungle.

I met up with a good friend I hadn't seen in a while. Thought this place would be a good fit. Oh boy, it exceeded my expectations of what a good social NYC bar is all about. We had a great time, the hotdogs were free. The bartenders pay good attention making service very easy to get in a busy environment. Note: it's cash only.

Happy thanksgiving Rudy’s, thank you so much for hosting a thanksgiving dinner. Everyone here was so friendly. The people serving at the buffet were a hoot. The beer prices were very reasonable. $5 for their Rudy’s ale and a shot of seagrams 7. This is going to be added onto my favorites list. A real gem.

Classical dive bar, NY legend which lives up to its reputation. Very cheap beer, but no hotdogs at the time of my visit. They even opened a backyard which I don’t remember from my time which was 20 years ago. If you are around Hells Kitchen, this is a must.

I wanted to check if reddit rumor about Rudy's hospitality is true. Exceeded my expectations- had a good chat with a few people, got fresh beer+shot combo, free sandwich and cake to top it! Judge Judy was smiling the whole time from a huge projector TV. New York hospitality at it's best!

Arguably one of the best bars in the city. You get to see a good mix of people - ages, occupations, sexuality, and race. Come for the beers and stay for the atmosphere. PS: The hot dogs are just BOMB.

One of the best, arguably most famous dive bars in Manhattan. Located in Hells Kitchen, where you can pay only $3 for a pint & a hot dog. Hard to beat a deal like that anywhere in Manhattan! Just don't forget to tip!
