I recently used SEC and had the pleasure of working with Robert, the owner of SEC. We reached out to Robert after a recent storm for an estimate.From the time we met Robert, he was always professional and knowledgeable. Robert informed us from day 1 that it may take some time for the insurance to cover our claim, he was right. Robert guided us throughout the process. always keeping us up to date .We now have a brand new roof that was completed in 2 days. The crew was very professional and neat, and the project manager, Hector, was always here and available for questions. They covered my pool enclosure and the entire perimeter of the house with tarps. Once the job was completed, the team took extra precautions and went around making sure they didn’t leave any nails or debris in the yard.I would recommend SEC to anyone, we actually already have . We had our roof replaced a few months ago due to storm damage that occurred last June. SEC roofing came highly recommended to us by a friend. From beginning to end, it was a great experience. First, let me say that SEC isn’t one of these “storm chaser” roofers that make up damage or replace the roof whether it’s needed or not. They are professional an of high integrity. Our insurance company is notorious for denying legitimate claims, and Robert from SEC worked with us over the course of months as our advocate in this process. The quality of their work is outstanding, as is their professionalism. They also stand by their work. We noticed a minor gutter issue a month after the work was done, and they sent out a gutter specialist to address it, no issues at all. We are very discriminating and have high standards, and SEC exceeded every one of them. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our insurance company found we had storm damage to our roof sufficient to require total removal and replacement. We contacted 2 firms recommended by friends and neighbors. SEC gave us the lowest price, and Robert answered all of our questions very well. For example, they can give lower prices in general because they do not spend funds on advertising. They rely upon word of mouth, which has worked quite well for them. They handled all prep issues well, and they did the work as scheduled. The roof itself looks great, and they did a marvelous job of cleaning up as they went. Robert was wonderful to talk with as they worked, and the end result was so much better than we expected. They have checked back to ensure we do not have any lingering issues. We would give them a 5+ if we could. We were VERY pleased and recommend them to anyone else.

It was suggested by a friend that we have Robert inspect our roof to advise us on a leak. We were told that he was very knowledgeable and professional, and I'm here to tell you that that is an understatement! Robert was extremely knowledgeable, polite, punctual, professional, and thorough in everything that he explained. He was patient with our questions and supplied us with everything we needed to make an informed decision, citing Florida laws and building code. He has even answered questions via email that I have had after he was here. I called this company because everyone around me was getting a new roof. Bob said he was not comfortable with a claim because my house wasn't hit by hail according to his inspection. He said I could wait until damage was present or go with another company that would promise me they would find some. I really liked his honesty and decided to wait. After the next really bad storm I called and he showed me I had damage. I filed a claim and everything went smoothly. Hector the project manager was amazing from start to finish. There were some things that happened that were not their fault but they fixed them for free. And gave me new gutters in an area for free. We were very concerned with the repair of our 21 year old roof since we knew it was a difficult project. Working with a company we haven't used before is always a concern since there is a lot of unknowns. Having to deal with insurance companies when you have roof damage can be a very stressful situation, one I was dreading as I do anything home repair related. I called SEC after getting nowhere with the company that installed my roof. My roof was only 7 years old and developed a leak in the garage; according to the installing company, I was out of warranty. After several heated conversations, I called SEC for a second opinion; Robert came to my house and could not have been more professional! He was able to immediately recognize that the problem could not be fixed with just tar, that the problem was most likely with the valley or flashing. He was correct, the flashing was improperly installed. SEC was able to fix the issue and match my current shingles perfectly. No trash, no nails left behind, unbelievable!!!! I highly recommend SEC to anyone needing roof work!

Roofers can be sketchy, but not SEC! I had some really bad wind damage from a storm a few months back that I only noticed because of a roof leak. Robert and his crew came in and worked REALLY HARD to help me get this full roof replacement covered by insurance and completed quickly. In fact, he noticed my neighbor had similar damage and when I shared it with him (the tenants didn't report any damage to the landlord/owner), my neighbor also contracted with SEC to get the roof replaced. They were able to do both of our townhomes in less than a day and a half and not a nail or scrap of trash was left behind. SEC was a referral from my business partner, and if I could refer him to you I would as well.

Michael Taborda of SEC ROOFING came to our home to review the roof issue that we are having and he was quickly able to identify the problem and what was needed to fix the problem. I was very impressed with Michael's knowledge and experience and his credibility. He informed me that at this time he did not have the person on board to fix the kind of roof and problem that we needed. They are in the process of reviewing candidates that have the expertise to fix the type of roof that we currently have and the problems we are experiencing. I got Robert's contact information from my neighbor who used SEC on a reroof. I'd gotten that dreaded warning from the insurance company about getting dropped. Before he even started his inspection, he explained in detail his inspection process. He showed me pictures of a few small issues, and we had a very thorough discussion about options to take. Robert is big about educating the customer on how the insurance situation works (or doesn't depending on your POV) for us Floridian homeowners. Robert initially came out to look at our roof after a hail damage and was very thorough and explained everything in detail as to what we should do and what we should expect. John came out the day of our roof installation and everything was cleaned up as they went through the day. I was very impressed with the crew before, during and after the completion of the project. During the initial visit, the inspector explained to me in details the status of my roof and the steps needed to be done to correct the problem. The crew did an exceptional work and were very professional and courteous. SEC Roofing looked at my roof and stated my roof was in good shape and I didn’t need a new roof, or repair, if I wasn’t having any leaking issues, which I did not have. He went on to describe what was happening in the area of concern. A less than honest inspector could have told me I needed something done, even if I didn’t, and I would have believed them.
