Loss prevention shouldn’t translate to employees profiling customers and stalking them while shopping. There are much more effective and tactful strategies. I live within walking distance to this store and I’m building my makeup collection so I frequent this location a few times a month. I usually don’t even spend 10 minutes inside as I just get what I need and leave. I can say that I have experienced employees following me before, but today was unacceptable. I decided to shop for perfume and I kid you not -within 30 seconds of testing a scent I had a lady creep around the corner, stare at me, then announce in her microphone that she’s now in the fragrance section and she just continued to watch me - staring me in the face. There was a total of 4 different people that came over to that area watching me and the other black person testing fragrances. Mind you this store is very small, the fragrance section is about ten feet long and 2 feet wide. Two of the staff members actually had the audacity to prevent us from shopping by stepping in the way of the scents and just staring at both of us. Personally, I don’t argue with the help so I just left. Hear me out, I likely have a larger net worth and more cash in the bank than anyone working there… I earn six figures, yet based on the color of my skin I get profiled by hourly retail employees. They literally need customers to help grow their revenue…. It would only be logical to consider that customers have a multitude of stores to shop from and this type of experience does not yield repeat customers…. duh. Sephora, what is your business model? Is it to ensure your customers of color feel uncomfortable? I’ve never seen them treat a white person like this, yet white people steal more often than people of color. I’m not a criminal or a thief, I also didn’t display any suspicious behavior-I was simply shopping! Also, they are always out of so many popular items -definitely not worth returning to Sephora.

I have to give this a low rating unfortunately. Other than the woman who did my make-up being nice, this definitely was a complete waste of money (and time). Prior to scheduling I told them I have mature/aged skin and make-up does not sit well on my face. I also wanted to make sure I had someone who could do a very dramatic eye. Unfortunately I did not have a good outcome even though I was assured this person specialized in dramatic eyes. I honestly felt I could have done a better job (and have). And the face make-up was extremely cake-y. It really showed up in pictures and my pictures look horrible. They would have turned out better if I wore no make-up at all. And within the hour my make-up started running. The eye make-up and the face-make-up. The lip make-up also faded within the hour. This definitely was not worth $120 (I gave a $20 tip just because my make-up artist was nice and this is how she makes a living). I even had to purchase eyeliner on the way to my event as it was already smearing and running before I even arrived. I felt like she took way too long literally just applying foundation over and over again and I feel like she basically did this to fill the time as it's extra if they go over the time. I honestly should get a refund but haven't even bothered to ask because I really don't want to deal with the excuses I assume I'd get because I went to the event with the make-up done. But my pictures are horrible and within two hours I look greasy and had to completely re-apply my eyeliner and lip color. If they had integrity they would refund me and pay for me to redo the event since the pictures are horrible because of the make-up, but I doubt I'll receive that. So instead, ***buyer be warned***. You'd save money buying the make-up yourself and just watching videos how to do your make-up. This was 1000% not worth it.

I came in here a few weeks ago to grab a couple things and had a really strange experience. When I walked in, I walked directly to a display in front of me to grab some travel setting spray. A couple moments later, a middle-aged, woman employe with reddish hair comes oddly close behind - strange because we're both supposed to be social distancing but also it was an obvious invasion of my personal space. She looked and said "yeah I think it's a (code of numbers)" didn't pick anything up and walked away. For the rest of my experience, I continued to catch her staring at me. The rest of the employees were helpful as I navigated through the store (the sole reason for the second star), but in a nearly empty store on a Friday afternoon she offered no help. Just managed to stare at me and walk (quite closely, again) by me as I exchanged items on the shelf. When I went to check out, she made a point to tell the other cashier she'd check me out. That might've been the only "help" she offered the entire time I was shopping. As a Beauty Insider who was already stressed about finding a couple last minute items before my flight, this woman's hawk eye made me incredibly uncomfortable. I've made a point now to avoid this location. If no other ATL based Sephora has what I need in stock I'd rather go to Ulta or order online than be treated like a criminal for buying some travel exfoliant.

I got such bad vibes from this Sephora. I went in once with my hair done all nice and none of the employees paid attention to me (keep reading to see how this is important). I asked two employees for help, who were having a conversation and they looked at me like I was the rudest person ever for asking them for help and interrupting their precious conversation. Then I go in another day without my hair done, just looking sort of dressed down and it's like four or five employees are following me around the store, watching me like I'm going to steal something. Two of them talk to me asking what I'm looking for, one of them literally forcibly puts makeup I don't want on my face and another one talked to me for 20 minutes about skincare when I literally just asked if they had any facial soap. It was so annoying. I read another review on here that someone else felt profiled and I think that feeling is very valid. I'm going to try and avoid it from now on, even though its the closest Sephora to where I stay. I wish I could tell a manager though, because somebody is telling them to borderline harass people when they come in and that needs to be fixed. That's' not how customer service should be done.

Possibly the worst sephora i have ever been to. Unless it is an urgent need for a product that has run out, I will go to the Lenox store. When it first opened, I asked if they had any Natasha Denona products, and the girl straight up asked me who that was. Uh, I know they don't have many of the products, but dude. I came in once at 5:30, and was told that the store closes at 6 and was basically pushed out, without having bought what I was looking for. But, the store on Fridays closes at 7...However, I did come in once looking for a specific foundation from CoverFX, and the staff member was very helpful in looking for my right color, which was very nice. I have noticed that some of the staff will hover unnecessarily, more than at other stores. Plus, parking is a major hassle. Since it is always a toss up if they will be helpful or bullying or just plain ignorant on their own products, go at your own risk.

I went here earlier today to ask for advice and to try a few samples since I’m almost out of foundation and not happy enough to buy it again. I know Sephora is gracious with samples but still, it’s always awkward to ask. I was helped by a gentleman named Brandon and he was amazing! He listened to my concerns and what I wanted in a foundation, and literally walked me through how to apply it correctly without once making me feel intimidated or judged (which is very common in makeup stores, sadly) He even gave me a sample of an eye cream to try since I struggle with dark circles and it works wonders! The products I left with were products I’d never think to try, and I’m so glad he listened to me and helped me as much as he did. I will definitely be back to this location!! Thank you!

I stopped by sephora with the goal to find vegan and cruelty free make up & had the pleasure of being helped by Iyana H. Not only did she help me find my perfect color match but she looked up every vegan and cruelty free brand that sephora carried. Iyana was so so so so so knowledgeable, gave me tips and advice on how to obtain the look I was going for, she was so personable, patient, kind and overall so helpful. This is definitely the most interactive and helpful experience that i've EVER had in sephora. If you're looking for super efficient help and to work with someone with great energy I definitely recommend asking for Iyana. I left feeling better about myself than when I came in and I truly thank Iyana for that.

They’re out of almost everything. Borderline harassment the way the follow you around the store as if you’re going to steal something. I looked up after looking a lipglosses to be surrounded by 4 employees just staring at me! I continued to look around the store as an employee continued to follow and stare at me while I shopped without saying a word. This was on a Saturday and there were plenty of other customers for them to attend to so I’m not sure why I was singled out. But I’m sure you can guess why... I had a small crossbody bag that could barely fit my keys so not sure what they thought I was going to steal. Never had this issue at the one in Lenox! I felt profiled and will not be going back to this location

I don't look like the kind of person who shops at Sephora so was pretty wary coming in. A woman up front helped me find exactly the lipstick I needed. At the register, another woman cashing me out let me know I'd gotten a birthday thing. Helped me figure out what was right for me out of the options. With the holidays I've been depressed and not taking care of my skin. She helped me select a mask and moisturizer I tried today that made my skin look normal. Just that little bit of patience she had matters. Unfortunately I don't know the name of either person who helped me this evening, but there is great staff here and a fine selection.

Jordan and Noah were so helpful and friendly! I’ve never felt more comfortable talking to beauty experts at Sephora. I was able to ask my questions and I was 100% confident in the purchases because they were recommending products for my specific concerns, not just sharing their opinions on products. I really appreciated the time they took to help, and I look forward to going back - MUST get the full-size mask of the same Noah recommended. And Jordan was so aware of what was going on in the store - even when it came to check out, she was always looking to provide the best experience by using a mobile decide to check out.

This location is more convenient for me easy access for parking walking short minimum footage to door. Sephora crew always willing to help you with your Beauty need. Sephora brand amongst other brands are amazingly playground of products which is addictive Upon entering and walking out there is a booth outside sidewalk called DARE Atlanta... supporting suicidal abuses bullying Some/Few/We of every cultural soul has been there, NAME IT. Support by visiting at Sephora outside separate ongoing business setup booth or cash app with needing huge immediate funds to save lives and YOUNGER LIVES $DAREATL

I was shopping on the Buckhead Exchange store in Atlanta, Georgia. When a sales associate walked up to me and said "I don't mean to rush y'all but we close at 7". It was literally around 6:40. I didn't pay attention to see if he did that to other customers but it was past rude. I've never seen that happen in any store before. As someone who has worked in retail before any customers who are still in the store past closing, are just in the store. The door would lock so no new shoppers can come on, but customers who are on there are just in there. It was beyond rude and just weird!

Great products, worst costumer service ever. No one asked if I needed help locating anything, no one greeted me as I walked in. Nor did anyone greet me or ask if I needed help as I walked around the store several times. 1 associate finally asked if I found everything ok as I approached her to ask where a certain brand was located. After that, another associate handed me a basket. So basically, I initiated all communication while there. During the entire time, I noticed that other customers weren't being addressed or helped. I get better customer service at Lenox.

Smaller than some of the other Sephora locations, BUT they seem to have items available to purchase & pickup when the other stores don't! The staff members are very friendly and helpful (without being TOO helpful- you know what i mean!!). The store is always clean, AND they don't have tons of missing items from the display like other stores. Parking can be tricky during busy hours, but if you wait, someone always leaves within 5 minutes or so. They have the smallest parking lot compared those located at/or near the mall, but it's my FAVORITE location!

Originally I bought the Fenty profiltr and concealer from a different sephora, however, was color matched to a shade that was way too light. I went to the Buckhead store to exchange the makeup for a different shade and was helped by Autum. She matched me to the perfect shade and convinced me to go with the match stix trio instead of the concealer. I also bought the fenty foundation brush (which is awesome!) Really enjoyed my experience at this location and my makeup looks waaay better now that it matches!

I went to this location a couple weeks ago and was so impressed. All the sales associates were so friendly and helpful. Gina introduced me to some new skincare products that I absolutely love! I love the Alpyn Beauty Juneberry Collagen Cleanser and also their Wild Nettle and Bearberry Serums! I am already noticing results and love that the products are clean 100% derived from plants. Thank you so much for the introduction and can’t wait to try other Alpyn Beauty products from Sephora.

I came to Atlanta for a day trip from Alabama. I'm addicted to Sephora unfortunately lol. I can honestly say this is one of my best experiences in a Sephora store, and I have been in many because I travel for work. Everyone was so helpful, going above and beyond to help me find what I needed. I purchased a skin care regimen and they took the time to explain each step and even wrote down instructions for me so I wouldn't forget when I got home. Keep up the great customer service guys.

Do not go to this location they need to work on there customer service. I walked in and nobody said hi. I was walking around for 10min looking for a certain serum and nobody bothered to help. There was this one girl with blonde hair just standing around and saw me but did not offer to help. The cashier was great she immediately helped me and was very professional. Management needs to look into there employees customer service. I honestly don’t know how they have a 4.2 rating.

This is the best Sephora I’ve been to in metro Atlanta. Immediately I was asked if I need assistance and 2 associates passionately helped color match me for two foundations. I am normally very insecure when I go in makeup stories because I have little beauty knowledge and other locations I’ve experienced staff laugh at me for it. This location made me feel comfortable and not embarrassed. Thank you for a great experience and I will continue coming to this location!

I’ve come to this location multiple times and it’s always the same Experience. If it’s a white sales associate they are super rude and ignore you but if it’s a black sales associate they are normally nice but generally all of them come off as stuck up. I dont know why I keep setting myself up for failure coming to this location just because it’s convenient but today was definitely the last. Whoever the white blonde at the perfume station should be let go.

The service at this location was INCREDIBLE! I am new to a multi-step skincare routine for day and night, and have been dabbling with a number of luxury products. The skincare specialist listened to my routine as well as my current skincare concerns. She recommended I switch out a few products and showed me others that are already showing a huge difference in my complexion. I can't wait to go back in 30 or so days to update her and try more stuff!

On Feb 20, 2022 at 5pm — I decided to go to this location to pick up a FEW things. After realizing THREE employees looked me face without a greeting none asking to provide assistance — I decided to leave and take my money somewhere else. Poor customer service!! I would suggest that the manager, Donna, remove herself from behind the cash register and manager the floor to ensure the staff at Sephora is proving BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Upon arrival I was greeted by the staff and everyone was warm and friendly. I was paired with ayanni and she was so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable on all the products and help me select what was best for me. Then at the register I was taken care of by Kris James and he had some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Both of your staff members were beyond exceptional and will highly recommend this store.

Service was good and they had the foundation I needed in stock. I took off a star for parking. This was probably the WORST location to throw up a Sephora, the parking lot is tiny (although i did later see they have a small parking lot in the back of the building), Buckhead is always super busy. I circled the lot for 15 mins and had to end up parking a couple of blocks down at Trader Joe's and walking to Sephora.

I visited this location on a random, rainy day a couple of weeks ago and the second I walked in the door, Darryl greeted me with such a warm presence. Usually associates will welcome you and go on about life, but not Darryl! He gave me the full experience! I was looking for a new fall scent and thanks to him, I found the perfect one. He was so kind and patient and this is permanently my go-to Sephora!

This Sephora has the best customer service in Atlanta! One of their sales associates, Chrie, is always particularly helpful and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about most of the products, especially skincare. She has no problem spending 30 mins answering all my product questions and always gives great recommendations and great sales items. We were so thrilled with Sephora in Buckhead!!!!! They went out of their way to open the store early by 1 hour just to do our make up for my sister’s wedding that started at noon that day!!! DO NOT GET A FULL FACE OR BEAUTY MAKEOVER HERE. IT IS TERRIBLE. Foundation did not match skin and artist did not know how to do eyebrows . AT ALL. eyeshadow was slapped on. Paid full price just to come home and wash it all off
