I got my makeup done by Katie yesterday 12/17 @ 3:30pm & she is AMAZING!!!!!! Katie immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. Katie & ALL the ladies working yesterday afternoon were incredibly personable, uplifting & they all had Great Energy! I'm 41, haven't worn makeup in years & sincerely have NO idea what im doing when it comes to makeup.....So this experience could have been intimidating or overwhelming....but NOPE! Everyone was Great, Friendly (& not in the overly sweet/ fake way) & personable. Sincerely, I will go out of my way to go to this Sephora in the future. Thank You Ladies & a GIANT Thank You to Katie for making yesterday a GREAT Experience!!! ***I waited until she finished to see my final look....I Instantly felt tears welling up.. She too got teary-eyed when seeing my raw reaction I felt Beautiful & MOST Important...I could still see ME in the mirror! If that makes sense?! She did not hide me behind a mask of stage makeup (like MAC *sorry not sorry*) Ms. Katie Truly understood the assignment & My ONLY complaint (not a complaint at all! ) this AMAZING Makeup Artist will not be at the store much longer Katie, Thank YOU for making yesterday an Enjoyable Experience!! & if you read this....CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK on all your future endeavors!!

It was an interesting experience. I visited Sephora in Downtown Disney this past week and after seeing how helpful they were with other customers, I decided to visit the Norterra one after returning home. I haven't worn foundation in more than a year and asked for a shade match and some recommendations. The actual matching/recommendations took less than a minute, if I'm being generous. She put a smidge on my face and I trusted her judgment, because it was hard for me to tell - but upon returning home and putting a full face on realize that the shade is too light. I was surprised that after stating that I haven't worn face makeup in a year, that I wasn't spammed with suggestions. It was an opportunity to upsell me. I always leave Ulta with a full face and usually a product or two that I did not originally intend to buy. I think I will stick with them moving forward. The longest part of this visit was being asked for every form of contact information (email, phone number two different times, first and last name) to get a color match. Felt a bit invasive for a 30 second color match, but maybe that's the norm. Should have shopped while in Downtown Disney, but will otherwise stick with Ulta. Oh well.

I understand that the holidays can be stressful. But if you don’t have a good customer service attitude then you have no business working in sales. I’m called Sephora to ask a question and the girl that I spoke to was incredibly rude. I purchased something a while back. I work from home so I don’t use makeup or products like that often. I used it and it did not agree with my skin. So I called to see if there was a store credit option. Her response was “uh no it’s basically yours at that point”, uh okay. Then she ended with “yea, great okay bye” and hung up on me. Like WHAT!!! if you don’t have time to take a call. Don’t answer the phone. Customer service is lacking these days. It’s so sad. But yet if I were to go into the store and she treated me like that and I said something back I would be the bad guy It’s called respect people. These people obviously don’t have it. I would suggest steering clear of this place around the holidays.

I do NOT recommend getting your makeup done here. I paid for the $60 full-face. I went in my 20’s and came out looking like im in my 40’s. The makeup artists pretend to shop for your items while you wait but if you pay attention they are getting all the items from the testers that everyone uses and who knows how old that makeup is. My face was so caked up and flakey when i asked my mua why she just blamed my face. I gave her a reference photo and she looked at it once and never again and did her own thing. I looked so bad i went home and wiped it all down. Did my own makeup and used my own basic foundation and my face was so smooth and not a flake in sight. The only conclusion i came to is that they use old expired makeup and the makeup artists they hire are not even professional just some girls that kinda know how to do makeup. If you have a big event to go to i do not recommend going here unless you want to look 10+ years older.

Was a very nice store. Very well managed and laid out. You were able to find what you were looking for. The only problem I had was service. I asked for an eye liner pencil to be sharpened, and she took it from me without a word and looked for a sharpener as if it was cutting into her time at work, or I was bothering her, or it was above her station to do so. I'm sorry, but if you are in CS, you need to be pleasant and happy even when you are having a bad day. I have been in CS for most of my 40 years of working. You have to be willing to help people and get them what they need or send them in the direction of what they need. Anyway, it's a really nice store and lots of choices to choose from. They even have samples to try, which is really awesome because I like to try things before I buy, so see if it will work or look good on me. Great store. Go have a look if you need some make-up or facial needs.

Amazing. Classy, new, stand-alone store in...what feels like --- an upscale area just off the I17 at Happy Valley road. Run don't walk. I mean ..come on. There were so many staff members to help me. A color I wanted ( foundation "Makeup by Mario") was oos on the shelf and in the drawer....and minutes later another employee had gone in the back to get what i wanted. Check out was super easy too. Forget Ulta at Desert Ridge. This is my new place. Used to shy away from Sephora...because they only put stores in malls...that were tedious to park and more. But now Sephora is a stand alone store like Ulta. Ulta who. Yeah for Sephora.

I got my make-up done on 9/22/23 at 3:45pm by Stacie! She is funny, witty and takes her time to make sure she has the best foundation for skin type. My skin is very sensitive and breaks out to unnatural products so she took the time to ask that and match my skin. We looked at pictures and figured out the best look for my outfit. My make-up looked Phenomenal and I got a lot of compliments. I get a little worried about folks who have lighter color melanin knowing how to do make up on folks who have more melanin but she nailed it! Thanks Stacie! Sephora, I appreciate her taking her time and getting it right!!!!!!!!!!

My friend Stephanie works here. I've gotta say, she's probably the best you're going to get here. An absolute angel!! I have shopped here maybe three times since they have opened and it's been delightful each time. When Stephanie isn't there or she's busy, Ingrid is always first to assist me! She's precious! This is already my favorite Sephora in the Phoenix area. If you find yourself intimidated by the girls at other Sephoras, I'd check this one out. Plus this one seems to be following the proper procedures to a safe & sanitary environment. :-)

I’ve been to this location a couple times between July and August 2022 and I did not like the service. I have been to the old town Scottsdale location also and their service is MUCH better than this one. The workers in the Happy Valley location seem way snootier than the Scottsdale store. I don’t know who trains the girls at the Happy Valley store but maybe their tactic is to make customers feel like they don’t belong? That’s a shame. It’s Sephora not Tiffanys. Don’t shop at this Sephora!

Yes I was greeted but not helped. Not sure how you buy perfume with no stock on the shelves and no one around to help. I found at least 2 employees (one of whom greeted me when I entered) standing around doing nothing. Tried to ask for help but they both walked away to check on their phones. Brought it up to an apparent manager who was not understanding why I was upset about not getting help. Waste of time here. Just go to another store. Never had an issue at the Biltmore store.

An absolutely disgustingly rude staff! Questioned my boyfriend about having COPD (a breathing disorder) to the point where he felt uncomfortable and walked out. Then I stood there for 15 minutes waiting to get help picking out a foundation and I felt like they just ignored me after the situation with my boyfriend. The staff kept walking past me and even eyed me from across the way. I eventually just walked out as well. Can’t believe we were treated like that... never going back

I was on the fence about writing a review. But decided to because I have decided that without a doubt I will NEVER visit Sephora at Norterra again for a makeup service. I wanted to get my makeup done for a wedding because I am not very experienced in doing makeup. The results were so horrible I couldn’t even get home without wiping down my entire face. I got home and did my own unprofessional application and looked a whole lot better. Waste of money.

This is my favorite Sephora in the whole valley. The ladies are super nice and have a sense of urgency to help you with the products. Is always stocked (at least in my experience) and Victor is the best beauty advisor ever, he is super knowledgeable and willing to assist you with a lot of patience and education. I wish the baskets were more available around the store but I get how people use them as a trash can. 10/10 in my book. You guys rock!

I have had nothing but great experiences in this Happy Valley location. Every time I walk into this store I am greeted and welcomed. Any questions that I have, the employees go above and beyond to answer. If one does not know the answer, they ask the others to help get me what I need. Tracy, Elizabeth, Cassie, and Ingrid specifically have been extremely helpful! Really every employee I have encountered has been helpful in one way or the other.

When you ask for a sample of two shades this is what you get. I hate to the person who purchases a whole foundation and has to return it later because the color was wrong thats a waste of product. That’s what samples are for but unfortunately this employee was not happy. Plus the smirk comment “you just want your free samples” was unnecessary I decided to let that slid because people have bad days but this was just RUDE

I really love this Sephora. Each person has always been so friendly and happy. I’ve visited multiple times at different points of the day. It’s always the same treatment. The staff is always working and you can tell they are a well oiled machine. The stock is great too. Angelique helped me and she remembered me. :) I like it so much here I’d rather go in and give credit to people than shop online.

Pros: - Clean store - For the most part, excellent customer service Cons: - Please train some employees that advising a teen while their Mother (derm) is present, that they should use a tinted moisturizer and that a BM foundation is going to destroy their skin without knowing any background is UNACCEPTABLE. Advise is ok when warranted. Blatantly telling them that it'll ruin their skin IS NOT.

Hours are too limited (6 open hours), resulting in wait in line to shop experiences. The staff is polite, thus the 2 stars but unable to make purchases as i did not stand in the line to shop on the store. Tried to do this two different times. No luck. Tried on line and the products that i specifically needed were only available for in store purchases. Guess I will see if Ulta can help me.

Sephora can be slightly intimidating but this location is absolute bliss. It has great brand selection and they follow all protocol. Hannah helped us and she was incredible. There were a few things in store that we needed and then a couple things that she helped us order online. The checkout process was so quick and easy. I can't wait to go back and see her!

Not what I was expecting, but the girls were very enthusiastic about helping me with my search for the right products. I think if they put more time into TRULY training their store staff this would be a wonderful "one stop beauty shop"! Teach them ALL so they can be known as the gurus and "know it all's" of makeup industry! They deserve it. :)

Chain store. Very clean and well organized. Well located in the Norterra Shopping Center. Outstanding selection of makeup and skincare options. Limited selection of perfumes. Busy on a Sunday afternoon. There was a bit of a wait in line. A 2nd cashier did eventually open to decrease wait times. Overall pleasant shopping experience.

Sheba and I had an amazing experience in this store thanks to SHELBY for her patience and kindness matching our makeup. We laughed and had fun finding the correct foundation for our complexions. My teen daughter and I had a great experience. We went to sephora to buy her makeup for the first time and the sales person was amazing. She showed my daughter colors that would work best for her, really listened to her comments, and steered her towards less expensive products since this was all new to her.

Stacie is amazing, I highly recommend the makeup lesson with her! I've never worn makeup before and she was incredibly helpful, informative, and friendly. She showed me how to do things and had me do them on my own, made it so easy to learn. Very knowledgeable, such a great experience!!

Got the Full Facial service, and asked for a makeup lesson right at the start. Katie was awesome, both because of the makeup, and her answering my questions. Highly recommend to anyone needing makeup recommendations and explanations for what each piece of makeup does.

Daijha was absolutely amazing. She helped me with everything (skincare, foundations, hair care) while helping other people around us as well. So easy to talk to & most of all she was very knowledgeable. Super grateful to have had such a good experience. Thank you!!

Always helpful here and when you have a return they don't give you any hassle. Easy access to get to and more often than not they have everything in stock. I prefer the real Sephora retail over Kohl's Sephora. They are not the same.

I would appreciate a friendly offer for help, not a stalking experience by the staff. I'm not there to steal, but I'm also not sure what I want! I did find it by looking around but I did not have the welcoming feel i get at Ulta.

If I'm going to shop in a chain store it's going to be this one. As a man they don't carry much for me but I love their fragrance selection. They issue a Sephora sampler twice a year for men and it's a great value.

Friendly, helpful staff. This store is consistently nice and easy to shop. Cosmetics stores are intimidating for some, the team at this particular Sephora is always kind, my favorite Sephora in the Valley.

Great spot for makeup and fragrances, I love this location particularly, cause I don't need to go to the mall to buy makeup and fragances. Always clean, staff is helpful, and the inventory is pretty good.
