To be fair, these guys are good painters. However, the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. First of all, you can't just throw cheap labor at a project and walk away. But they did. A guy named Freddie was the project manager and he showed up once to walk the job at beginning, but I never saw him again. I don't even know why we walked job because he did nothing that we asked. The crew had no trucks and they showed up in old clunker cars with painting supplies on their seats. We had them paint interior and exterior, so job lasted about a month. But Clay did not get a porta potty and the laborers used our facilities, climbed through windows to use outlets and left our place wide open at times so that our neighbor had to call us. They were supposed to repair some roof drainage issues, but on first rain there were leaks in the catch basins they claimed were fine or fixed and the downspout they installed leaked. It should have been obvious to anyone the downspout would leak, but they collected their money and walked. When we called and asked them to fix, they blew it off. However, we were so glad they were gone and never wanted to see them again, so just hired someone else to finish project. If you hire these guys you will be sorry. Take our advice and just pay a little more and have someone professional do the work.

We would highly recommend Clay and his assistant Omar. Over the past 25 years of working with several contractors, painters, plumbers, etc. on our house, we were very satisfied with his work. He went through all the items of our tour for things to be done with a verbal acknowledgement which seemed unusual at first. But 3 days later he sent us an written estimate with every item we discussed in detail at a fraction of the cost the three other older companies gave. And those companies did not include additional costs for any repairs of wood or sheetrock or other construction. Clay was very flexible with his time, responded to any additional requests with minor additional costs, and was able to work within our schedule to complete the job of full exterior painting, wood siding repair, and some interior painting within 3 weeks of his first visit for the estimate. His assistant Omar was also exceptionally responsive to any feedback and additional refinements we requested, and his team worked diligently through the day without breaks except for lunch.

Clay was super professional and able to paint my 1 BD / 2 BA SF Mission apartment interior in record time. We did a walk through and aligned on a price and he came just a few days later and completed everything in a day. He even followed up to ask if I liked everything and when I noticed some small spots that needed touching up he went back to do them before declaring the project complete. He definitely went the extra mile even patching up holes and removing some adhesive hooks (which was hard to do!). He is very friendly and professional. He also took patches of paint to match the color so I didn’t even need to get the original paint colors. Everything looks new. The contract was thorough and license # is registered. Highly recommend!

Our project consisted of painting the exterior of our home and replacing a worn out fence. The process was smooth from the beginning with the walk through and quote all the way to the end with the sign off of work. The timelines promised were met and the crew was awesome! They were all very respectful and professional and made sure we were happy all the way through the project. The communication was very much appreciated where they would give us regular updates and solicit our input if choices needed to be made (colors, wood type for fence, etc.). The price and payment schedule was exactly as laid out in the contract. We would highly recommend working with SF House Painting!

Our 98 year old house front was restored and preserved by Polo...Clay was everywhere I needed him..and they accomplished it under budget and fast.accomodated changes to plans.. without grief..another company wanted more and wanted me to wait...months....if you want value and value time..i would call sf house painting....but...I say my computer screen didn't transfer actual color of product ..so i highly recommend buying samples of paint to live test as opposed to just trusting technology to give clear color...also..I suggest hand drawing what you want painted and what paint you want where..worth a thousand words

We highly recommend these guys. Over the course of two weeks in the summer of 2020, they painted the entire exterior and a couple of places in the interior of our two-story condo building in the Richmond District of SF. Clay and Polo and the rest of the crew were always prompt, professional, and conscientious. They were highly responsive to our questions and they made sure everything was tidied up neatly at the end of each work day. The paint job came out great and they even painted a few small areas we did not expect.

I scheduled an appointment for a consultation online and immediately received a text from Clay asking about the job. We agreed on a price, and he said that they didn't need to come see the site, we could simply schedule the paint job. So we scheduled for yesterday at 2pm. He told me Walder would be here to paint. No one showed up at that time, so I texted Clay, called him, and called the general number and left a message. No one responded or provided any explanation for the no-show. Please avoid this company.

Incredibly slow work, had days where they only spent 4-5 hours at the job site. Quoted a price and a timeline but at the end of the time frame, with an extra 3 days we gave them, had almost another week left of work. The work is mediocre at best, plain bad at worst. Rooms that were presumably completed (confirmed with them) have only one coat in the corners and it shows clearly. I also have serious paint issues that I'll be fixing with someone else (see photos). I would never do business with them again.

SF House Painting did an excellent job with the interior of our home and turned out better than expected! We had a few hiccups here and there, but it wasn't anything that Clay, the owner couldn't handle. Whatever issues there were he was right on top of everything.
