I would like to file an complaint regarding a hit and run accident I was involved on 2 Jul. As an international traveler who frequently rented Sixt, I was very disappointed and mad about my rental experience this time at San Francisco. In many of the countries I’ve traveled to, Sixt rental agreement covered the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) to limit the cost charge to renter due to collision. Take me most recent rental experience in Turkey this May for example, I rented with Sixt for 12 days. The experience was awesome, the branch staff in Turkey provided detailed information about the protection policy and mentioned that CDW is included in the basic rental agreement. Another example was my trip to Paris, where CDW was not included in my basic rental, the branch staff, however, made it real clear about this and made sure I had either my own car insurance coverage or considered purchasing one at the counter, which I eventually did. My point here is that from my past experiences with Sixt, the branch staff on site always provided detailed information regarding insurance policy and how to help to protect their customers. BUT not this time at the San Francisco, mission district branch. Little did we know that CDW was not included in the basic rental agreement in US, actually not any single coverage/protection was included. As an international traveler, we were used to having some sort of protection included in the basic rental or at least being clarified by the branch staff on what is or is not included. The experience in San Francisco was far from satisfaction. The branch staff was lack of competence and never mentioned that there was no protection included in my rental. A well trained branch staff would have explained it clearly and put customers’ benefit first. They should have noticed that I am an international traveler when I showed my passport and international drivers permit at the counter, and they should have known that I can not possibly possess any local car insurance. However, what the branch staff did was only asking if I have my own insurance. Well, of course I have my own insurance, but it is my personal insurance back in my country which is apparently not applicable in this situation, where I got in lol ed in a hit and run accident. Of course, you could argue that I’ve signed all T&Cs and agreed not to purchase any protection. However, you are putting customer at risk in such situations when the branch staff didn’t put any efforts to explain the detail and made the customer aware what the risks were, instead they just requested me to read and sign the T&C in a small screen at the counter, which was basically unable to read. Now I am in this anxiety and worried situation where I do not know what charge is coming for me and what liability I am going to face. What’s worse, your customer service call line is totally not functioning and there is no one I can contact and understand the situation. If anyone in Sixt see this, please contact me!

We rented a car from Sixt Mission District and we had a fantastic experience. Corey helped us and he was fantastic. The other person that was working, I believe that her name may have been Amelie, was fantastic as well. We are members of Sixt Subscription (it's like a short term lease program) and we came here to pick up our car. We were upgraded to a larger car, but after driving away and having lunch, we decided that we didn't like the feel of the car. It was just a bit too large. We returned and asked for an exchange of the car. Instead of being annoyed and just telling us that they didn't have any other options, Corey went to work to find us another car. Amelie helped too! He contacted a nearby location to see if they had other cars that would suit our needs. He contacted the airport Sixt location to see if they had other cars that would suit our needs. It was taking a while, so we suggested that we run some errands. They said they'd call us back once they had it settled. Corey called us back and told us to head to the airport for our car exchange. The other car that we received was fantastic and perfect for our needs. Stylish, sporty, and seemingly brand new. Corey even called after we received the car to make sure that everything was ok. By the way, this was also on July 4th - a very busy holiday for travel. I sing Sixt's praises everywhere I go. They have the best cars and the best service. If you go to the mission district Sixt in San Francisco, ask for Corey! But I get the feeling that you can't go wrong no matter who you get. Thanks Sixt!! And thank you so much Corey!!

We’ve been renting from Sixt for years, but every time we wonder if it’s worth it. The cars are very nice and the cost is reasonable for what you get, but the process is horrible. Each of the past two times, it took an hour to pick up cars that have been previously reserved! That’s ridiculous and the staff is not to blame. It’s a result of poor executive management that under-staffs every location and provides a customer service number that leads you through a bunch of prompts and then hangs up on you (our representative confirmed that there is no way to reach them by phone). Most recently, we had to come to the Mission location because we went to the address on our reservation, which was in Downtown San Francisco, but it was vacant. Apparently, the location was reopened for a short period, but closed (COVID-19 related), and we were never notified. We couldn’t reach anyone, so we just went to the Mission in hopes that they would help us. We stood in line for 45 minutes because only one representative was working, and when we reached the desk, she had to move our reservation from a location that no longer existed, because it was still there in the system! She was very nice and it all worked out, but Sixt is a very poorly run company, so be prepared to waste valuable vacation time to get that Mercedes C-class that is so fun to drive!

Bad Experiences. We Booked our Car in Advance. On arrival they tried to talk us into taking an upgrade for as they stated, "almost the same costs", which would have been an additional costs of 280 $. We politely denied! After that we have been told, that it would be no problem to return the car early at our final destination (after one day instead of two) if we like to. They promissed us, that we then of course would get a refund for the one day. Due to that we canceled all the sight seeing to drop the car one day early. Result = We got back 7$ for that one day. The original cost per day where about 138$. The invoice after we droped the car (after 1 day instead of 2) stated now, that the first day cost us 192$. After contacting the customer service, they stated they would come back to us but nothing happend. We never got a reply. On top of that the car had several technical issues! The Washer fluid was broken (trip in winter with a lot of snow, not the best combination), car needed a service and on top the front sensors for holding the distance had a malefuction. Conclusion: Absolutely BAD Customer experience!!!

Worst service; terrible customer service. attempting to contact them for the past two days. see how they defraud me here. I asked them to cancel the membership when I returned the vehicle on the 17th, but they immediately charged me on the 18th. When I called customer service, no one knew how to fix the problem; I was passed off to 20 different individuals, and none of them could provide a refund. After much yelling, someone eventually took the complaint, but I never heard back. They claim that customers must wait two days, but they do not know the branch's phone number. It takes the support line mail or phone 2-3 days to react, which is a very long time for a response. They simply want to defraud people. i would not give even one star. I've already contacted customer assistance by phone and mail. Mail is not being delivered, and there is awful customer service on the phone, with no one being able to fix the issue. Please read the review before reacting to it. Avoid using auto replay.

Arrived to pick up the vehicle on time, they tried to get me into a lower tier vehicle without adjusting the contract. They then made me wait an hour to pick up the correct vehicle while the yard crew worked on cleaning and prepping other customer vehicles. Upon pickup, there was no walk through with the team. The vehicle was an e-drive but came with a dead battery. Within 100mi, it also started flashing alerts about needing a service and new brake pads. On return, I had to park in the street the gate was closed) and find an employee who took the keys and told me "not to worry about it" when asked about a damge walk-around. Now, they are trying to charge me for a cracked windshield that I have never seen before. I have been a loyal Sixt customer for years, but after the last couple of reservations, I am pretty much out the door :( My recommendation: treat this branch like it is run by Hertz. They will give you terrible service and then try to rob you to boot.

The staff at Sixt branch of San Francisco Mission District who gave me the vehicle on 21st of March at 1:00 PM was not professional and not cooperated. He was fast with a previous customer from Europe but too slow with me making it too difficult specially when it comes to checking my passport and my documents. His attitude was like trying to find a problem and making it impossible. I rented cars many time from Sixt around the US and the world because I like Sixt Service Quality but that guy almost made me change my mind. The surprise was that his boss was around and seen his attitude but she never interfere to sort it out. The poor cleaning condition of the given car was something else. When I asked to change the vehicle or clean the car properly, request wasn’t taken in consideration and I got delayed more. At the end, I found myself I had to accept and take the car due pre authorization made on my Credit card and my time limit as I was on short holiday

First time renting from this Sixt branch, usually prefer SFO due to being open 24hrs but it worked out perfectly. Picking up the vehicle was a tiny bump because someone called out so they didn't officially start checking people in at 8 but the representative that came in on his day off handled it well was very professional and upfront Honesty is much appreciated (sorry I don't know his name) Staff was very friendly and offered all the hospitality a customer should feel. The vehicle was beautiful everything was noted in the rental agreement (existing condition) so no need to hassle and inspect the vehicle prior to driving it off the lot. Return process was Great! Welcomed and greeted I was able to return the vehicle 5 min before their opening hours which was great allowed me to make it to work without being late. Overall Sixt has set a new high standard for renting a vehicle I will definitely be choosing Sixt in future rentals.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The moment our family(we're Asian) walked in I could notice the associate was judging how we dressed and was extremely rude from the get go. I had a credit card from Korea which they did not accept because it was not from a "major" bank and left a snark comment that she's never seen a card from this bank before. We've had no trouble renting cars with the same credit card at every other rental car agency. They didn't provide any alternative options and basically nudged us to leave despite us having paid the full amount for the SUV. The associate told us to email corporate to cancel the reservation and when we did they were going to charge us a fee of the amount we pre paid for the car and would not give any refund which made 0 sense. We still haven't heard back from these scammers and I'm charging a dispute through my bank to get my money back which is an absolute headache.

got billed 191.48 USD for refuel while the car was refuelled 8 miles before return (see photos attached). In addition when I picked up the car, they tried to bill me 100 USD more claiming fares changed because I was 2 hours late (15 days booking). Clerk mentionned that third party insurance was mandatory in California but that was not included in the fare booked online so had to add 16 USD per day. Overall, a lot of trouble, at pickup and after return. Finally, car had no windshield washer (not just refulled, but completely empty). I had a 2500 miles trip and at the end, car indicated that it needed an oil + filter change which was not really reassuring. Very bad experience overall. Bad customer service at pickup, return, and not really confident with the car servicing during the rental although the car by itself was fairly recent (from 2021 and just a bit more than 20 000 miles).

Great service! We got there and they had another (more desirable for our trip) car available - a Camaro - which they did not hesitate to offer us. They even checked surrounding locations for other cars. When the USBs on that car malfunctioned, they did their best (and succeeded) in finding another more than acceptable car for us. Please be sure to ask for Cory as he was truly exceptional, accommodating, and nice. He also had a female colleague with him (I forget her name) who even helped us with travel tips/suggestions and help with our travel routes. This was an extremely pleasant experience, and I would recommend SIXT and this location to anybody. I will mention that the only hiccup was that we were suggested to purchase the totally unnecessary toll pass. Just be sure to check your route on your own before buying. All in all, I would give more stars if I could.

Super service from Corey S! He deserves a raise and is easily worthy of 5/5 stars. The computer system was slow and he was very friendly and professional and made sure we got a car that kept us happy. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful, and not pushy. The nearly new BMW 330i we rented made our day trip to Santa Cruz incredible and memorable. Sixt will be my first choice for rentals from now. I must rate the experience 4/5 stars due to the super sketchy neighborhood and do their new policy of keeping the entry gate and doors locked during business hours (to reduce potential for crime), making car returns difficult and stressful. obviously Sixt is not to blame for this reality, but it does negatively impact the experience. Hopefully this area will be revitalized and more safe in the future, for now I consider this an uber-in/uber-out location.

Worst rental car company! They tried to scam us so many times and it took so long to get everything settled. - upon car pickup, they added an upgrade without telling us until we noticed it's $200 more than the original booking fee. - one week after we returned the car, they sent an email and falsely accused us of making a dent on the front tire. we have pictures proof when we picked up the car. we asked SIXT for evidence and they backed off. - another week later, we got charged $90 for different drop off location fee. they accused us of dropping the car off at the airport when we clearly returned to the mission location. - a few days later, we got another $20 one way fee for a similar false drop off location claim. it took so much unnecessary time and energy to email them and fight back for unwarranted charges. DISHONEST company. we will never use SIXT again!

This was by far the most enjoyable car rental experience I have EVER HAD. Glenda and Grace at the Mission branch deserve nothing but a 5 star review. They were extremely competent, kind, patient and went above and beyond with their service. They upgraded my vehicle for me, made instructions and pickup easy and clear and did it with a SMILE. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this whole experience. I rented a car for approx 10 days while in California with Sixt and was in easy close communication with them the whole time if I experienced any change in my plans. In the future I will never use another car rental service again except Sixt. I found it initially via my visa company and am so grateful. Thank you Sixt for an absolutely stellar experience and thank you Glenda and Grace!!! Btw the Mini Cooper John Cooperworks is a rocket of a drive!!

Dealing with Sixt has been the most infuriating experience. I was looking to make a subscription for monthly services. I made my profile and it was listed as “pending acceptance”. I received an email stating “finish your profile”. When I logged in I was prompted to pay for my subscription. Upon doing so, my payment would not go through stating “please call us this reservation is not available”. I called in today to resolve this, not only was I on the phone for 38 mins, I wasn’t remotely helped. The subscription department kept advising me to “try maybe another day”. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told “we do not have any available, they are in meetings all day”. I was transferred back and forth for 38 mins, and hung up on twice. Truly doing business with this company is a joke. They do not care to provide you with any help whatsoever.

Absolutely do not use this place! Total scam! I don’t know how they haven’t been shut down yet. Got there and all guy at the front desk did was try to upcharge me and would not let me get my car to the point that I had to get a manager to let me get the car that I ordered, thank god I didn’t cave in or else I would be out $500 instead of $200. It’s been 2 months and I still haven’t received my deposit! Looked back on my bank statements and they have charged me $30 three separate times! Total thieves! Do not listen to the reviews on Google go to yelp they are paying for these reviews! I washed that car and filled up the tank right next to the airport! Customer service is non existent. Not a scratch was left!!! I will be taking them to small claims court! Thank god I took a video and pictures of the car before and after!

I have been renting cars from Sixt for many years, and it was a very good experience every time. However, in this SF branch, I had a terrible experience. The staff was very rude. First, they kept me waiting while doing nothing, and then they rudely tried to sell me more and more options. Then, when they didn't have the car I ordered, they tried to sell me an upgrade instead of just giving me a replacement, like every other branch of Sixt would do. If this wasn't enough, they asked me for my passport, even though it didn't say that it was required in the order form. No one asked me for my passport in any other branch of Sixt in the USA. Since they didn't accept a photo of my passport from my phone, I was forced to take a Taki to get it. I felt like they do everything in their power to give me bad service.

I rented a BMW SUV and was offered a Nissan Altima. Wooooow. We were eventually offered a Chevy Traverse and was told that a Chevy Traverse is a technically an upgrade from a BMW SUV. In what world is a minivan style Chevy Traverse an upgrade from a BMW SUV...? It felt like we were given the bait and switch. There were four BMW SUV's on the lot, none of which SIXT would rent to us, and each one they gave us a different excuse as to why they couldn't rent it. I understand the exact car isn't always available but the cars SIXT offered us were very different than what we thought we were renting. It was an upsetting way to start a trip, and with such little inventory and selection at this location, we would have been better off at a different car rental with more choices.

SIXT at Mission is a total clown show. Probably the most unprofessional and immature car rental shop I have ever seen. Got totally jerked around by the entire staff. First, the car I rented was 'unavailable', then the replacement was 'recalled', then the third replacement had a 'cracked windshield.' After one hour of being misled, baited and switched, they finally get me off the lot and promise that I could return the tank on empty as a 'sorry' for the negative customer experience. Then corporate decides to charge me for the empty tank, forcing me to chase them for weeks to get it reversed. The manager of this location is Patrick Baca. If he is reading this, you should be ashamed of yourself for running such an amateur operation. Never using SIXT again!

Very good experience. I rented with a debit card and only later realized I didn’t meet the criteria for such rental and should’ve rented with credit. When I came and explained my situation to the girl at the desk she was most helpful and changed my reservation - refunded my debit card and charged the same with credit. The only thing I would advise to be cautious about is car class. In most rentals the cheapest class will give you a Nissan Versa or Hyundai Accent - four door sedans that can fit 3-4 people and their luggage comfortably. This branch is a Mini branch so you’ll get a Mini. It’s really cool if you’re traveling solo or with one other person as Mini is a premium car for which you’d usually pay extra but it’s less fun if there’s more of you.

Worst rental experience ever. Agent was really unkind, blunt, had me wait for 15 minutes although there was noone in the agency. Did not smile or had a pleasant word. Gave me a Van, Chrysler Pacifica although I had a reservation for a Jeep Cherokee or equivalent. The car had not been cleaned either inside or outside and smelled cannabis during our 3 week rental. In compensation for the smell and dirt, the agent said he would put a note on the reservation and i could return the car wirh empty tank. When I returned the car at SFO 3 weeks later, there was no trace of this note, so i called Customer service who emailed the agency to verify twhat th eagent had promised. Customer service called me 3 days later saying the agent did not remember..

We Booked a car for the SF fisher mans wharf and they didn’t mention at all on the website that it had been closed down. We were chasing our tails for half an hour trying to find the sixt office. We then went to the mission office told the lady about the situation and she had ZERO empathy, didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience and then we couldn’t even rent a car because they didn’t accept debit cards only Credit Card. She wasn’t helpful at all and not empathetic to our situation. They were all just standing there with nothing to do because the store was dead quiet. This company also never never answer the phone. Crazy. We then went to Budget who were super helpful, kind and understanding and we were able to rent a car with them!

WARNING!!! BEWARE!!! DO NOT EVER RENT FROM SIXT!!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!! We rented a car 9 months ago, upon return, they tried to charge us for every mark or ding on the car. Luckily we had pictures from day 1 before we drove away that showed we did not do the damage. We dropped the car off and paid the rental fee. Nine months later we notice a significant drop  in our credit score. Upon investigation, we found SIXT filed with a collection agency for $450 that they said we owed. SIXT never sent a bill, email, or phone call to alert us to any unpaid fees. We are now speaking with a lawyer to file a suit against them for the damages to our credit score and getting this off our record!

We recently rented with Sixt, it was a great experience. We picked up the car around 10am, there was no line and we were helped within minutes. We worked with Asel who made our day, she was super kind, helpful and patiently explained us everything, even helped us with our route. We drove directly to Yosemite after picking up the car, it was a long day but we had an amazing start thanks to her. We were definitely reassured that we were in good hands. Car was clean and was in great condition. Drop off was also fast, we just left the car in the parking lot and handed in the keys. All went smoothly, 100% would prefer the Mission branch when renting in SF next time.

Booking agent messed up my reservation pickup time. By design, SIXT makes it impossible for you to get a human on the line, with the branch you have to work with. Upon much hassle to finally make it to the branch, Amelia from this branch location was empathetic, cheerful, and extremely helpful. She helped me resolve the issue I [had to personally drive to] went, to get addressed. SIXT having dropped the ball, was remedied by Amelia. This employee is an asset to the organization. I hope future folks are fortunate enough to receive her service, as they will be sure to receive her greatest effort and professionalism.

Sixt is great! Glenda is customer focused; friendly, attentive and intuitve. The transaction went fairly efficient. There was an issue with my car, so I was super happy with availability of a replacement car; love the car diversity in selection. The car was thoroughly clean, which is awesome (the competitor rentals are often not). The prices are very very competitive, I've shifted from the "old" style competitors like Hertz/Avis/Enterprise/Alamo..Thank you for coming into the rental market. I'll definitely be renting again! PS: can you consider opening a car across the bridge, into Oakland?

Great staff, difficult company. I'd give a one star but the reps were so friendly. Car was not fully cleaned and I had to clean the windows inside and out, despite the fact that this is supposed to be a luxury car rental. Very disappointing. Needed to exchange car but customers cannot access any local office, only an 800 number. The 800 number operators do not have inventory info so you have to drive to different locations to find a different car. A waste of precious hours most do not have while traveling. So frustration heaped upon disappointment at a high price. Not worth the money.

My family and I have rented from other companies previously and had never heard of SIXT prior to this most recent trip (California). We chose SIXT because it was the best price; however, our experience from pick-up to return was far from an economy experience. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. We picked up in SFO and returned at LAX - the fleet of cars we saw at both locations were premium. Our SUV rental was upgraded to a convertible Audi (bonus!) - and a specific thank you to Corey in SFO/Mission District. An A+ experience and highly recommend. Thank you, SIXT!

Staff were nice BUT didn't explain the cost breakdown or the options of the rental and I felt rushed to sign and get out. Car wasn't ready but they didn't double check and I only noticed that it's not clean and washer fluid was empty after i was already on the road. Not using this branch again Update: SIXT got back to me after posting this review and the customer service team reinvestigated my case. Though they made it clear that I acknowledged the rental fee and condition before I made the payment at the branch, they gave me a one off exception and reimbursed me for my claim.

I've had only the best experiences renting from SIXT, both here in the US and in Europe. I very recently rented from Corey at the S Van Ness (SF) location. A seamless transaction: he was very efficient, super cordial, and best of all, went out of his way to secure a brand new (100 miles on the odometer!) premium car for a fun getaway weekend up the northern CA coast. Upon returning the car, he immediately recognized me with a warm welcome and had the rental closed out in a matter of minutes. Won't hesitate to rent from here again and thanks to Corey for the top-notch service!

I recently rented a BMW car from SIXT Rental. I booked and pre-paid online, but when I arrived to pick up the car, there was a problem with the deposit. The worker there was playing on his phone and didn't seem interested in helping me resolve the issue. I tried to offer several solutions, but he just kept saying no. He didn't even look at me or make eye contact. I felt like he was discriminating against me because I am Asian. Overall, I had a very bad experience with BMW Rental and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I must say that everytime I come to the Mission branch I have such a great experience. The process is always easy, seamless, and quick. The cars are always spotless. But, the most important part is the customer service. The customer service at the Mission branch is outstanding! They are warm, welcoming, always kind, and in a great mood! I've found my go-to car rental service in San Francisco! The Mission District Sixt has wonderful customer service (something I almost never say about car rental companies). Katarina helped us out with our rental and she was both professional and personable as we were selecting a car for a weekend trip. When there was a minor mishap while waiting for our vehicle, she went above and beyond to credit us on the original rental. The selection of cars here is great. Drop-off was a breeze as well. I'll be returning!

Great shout-out to the staff of Sixt in the Mission location on South Van Ness. I was really impressed by their professionalism, ability to problem-solve even in difficult situations like for instance with a store full of customers on a very meteorologically difficult day, always with a kind smile on the face and the willingness to listen. Had an amazing experience with the car rental at Sixt Mission District. I was serviced by Cory and he gave me an exceptional experience by proposing a BMW 840i coupe car that I would enjoy over the next 2 days. Initially I felt guilty for spending for convenience but he gave me an offer which was fantastic! In addition, he stayed after 5pm to collect the car when I was late by 5 mins to ensure he can hear my feedback of my experience with the car. Overall kudos to him!

The car didn't have windshield washer liquid. Not a big deal, some people may think. As I was driving to Stanislaus national park, the glass got hundreds of stains which I realized I couldn't wipe. And the next gas station was quite a drive. I bough the liquid eventually when I got to a gas station. However, it was very disappointing to know that you're paying the money they are asking for, but they are not providing you the service for the money.

The SUV I rented was not available at the promised time. While I was given a loaner car while waiting for the SUV, this was not useful, as my traveling party could not fit in the rental car. I was not credited the 60 - 90 minutes the SUV was late, and ended up paying the full amount of my pre-paid rental. Eventually I received the SUV, which was fine, but I don't feel I should have had to pay for the time the previous customer still had my rental.

I just had a great experience renting a car with Sixt. I got a premium rate car (2021 BMW 330i) for hardly much more than an economy car…so fun to drive, totally worth the few more bucks. Their office is SO much cleaner and sleeker than the other rental car locations in the city. Even though I made the reservation pretty last min Odalis was able to get me a car no problem. They’ll def be the first stop for when I rent cars in the future.

Grace helped us and always delivers awesome customer service (we've used Sixt Mission three separate times). The vehicle we reserved wasn't ready on time, so Grace problem solved and found us 3 options we could drive off the lot and took the time to show and explain each model. She strives for 5 but she's always 10 stars! Would highly recommend and, as locals, we would def use them again when we need long term car rentals in the Bay.

Arrive 3 minutes after 3pm they’re closing, mind you the bridge was backed up. First they said they didn’t have any cars, then they said they didn’t have any detailers. I reminded them that the car was supposed to be ready at 2, so they then came with the 3rd excuse “they lock or computers at 3. Okay, I will find another company then. Budget gave a great rate and catered to us. Will never use Sixt again!!! Zero customer service!!!

Five stars for Christina! Her bubbly personality and customer service didn’t go unnoticed. She opened the door for us as we had luggage, greeted and gave us a lovely car. What I didn’t like was the usual song and dance around added protection (insurance) and upgrade trickery. Unnecessary and shady. This is Sixt corporate policy no doubt, so if it wasn’t for Christina and her excellent customer service we would have gone elsewhere.

Customer service is above and beyond at this branch, especially Corry and Odalis whom listened and took care of customer needs. We need weekly rental car due to our primary car is un-operational and given the weekly rental rate is much better than daily rate, so we could get a nicer car here compared to Enterprise@1600 Mission Street, which we have tried for many times prior to Sixt. I gotta say, Sixt has nicer car for sure!

Not a nice experience. It is the rent a car I usually preferred, but if you have a flight coming in after 1 am do not count on being able to pick up a car. Even though it was marked on my calendar (the pick up time next day which I did not notice) the attendant next day was not polite and happened to yield to my cancellation request without giving the benefit of the explanation. Still think they are one of the best options.

There's nothing like SIXT. After several sub-par customer experiences with AVIS as a preferred member (I gave them multiple opportunities to get it right), I made the decision to go with SIXT. One of the most rewarding decisions that I've made in my life as a consumer. The quality of their vehicles and regard for the customer journey is top shelf. I encourage everyone to come over to SIXT. Planned to rent a Bmw 5 series, ended up with renting a Bmw 8 series because I was a little to late. The customer service did what they could do to satisfied me. I was very lucky that I could rent the Bmw 8 series convertible and I had a great time with the car and went to LA and Las Vegas with the car. When I brought back the car the customer service were also very kind. Thank you Sixt for the good service!

The guy at the front try to sell us a better coverage (like everyplace) but he respected our decision of not paying more money for a total insurance (tires and keys). The pick up it wasnt all the fast it could be. However, the car was beautiful, worked perfect and they didnt charge us any hidden amount of money after return it back. I spent a nice holidays with the car so I would rent again with this office.

We rent at Sixt through Lyft. There is definitely work to be done on this integration. On multiple occasions we have turned up with a confirmed reservation only to find out that the car we are expected is unavailable. The app will offer free Pink upgrades that are not honored at the pickup location. They do have a nice selection of premium cars, but they have after hours return option which is a big hassle.

When there was a slight delay with my original vehicle, she got us into a different one at no charge, in order to get us on our way faster. Had car trouble and had a terrible time getting any help from Sixt. Finally a tow truck came to pick up the car, with no replacement vehicle (I was an hour away from where I picked up the car in SF), and I was charged the full amount, plus extra for 'returning' it to a different location and a fuel fee. Have STILL not heard from Sixt. The worst car rental experience I have ever had.

Great service, car in nice shape except carplay wouldn’t work. But charging a 200 dollar security deposit which has not come off my credit card three days after the return (and I don’t know when it will be refunded). is criminal. I would rent again bit not unless I see that charge taken off my credit card soon. It is impossible to teach anyone by phone or email to ask about this.

The agent at the branch told me that I may go and do the maintenance by myself if I want so because the sold out if all the cars !!!!!! Ridicules!!!! Terrible terrible service. No customer service you can speak too. They will double charge you for tolls you paid at toll booths. You can’t speak to a human being unless you have had a car accident. Car was dirty and dented and then they tried to charge me for two more rock dents in a sea of already existing rock dents. It was BS. Fortunately I took photos of the car.

Pre paid a mid size suv rental, $350, and refused to let me drive because I’m under 25 (I’m 23). They said a manager would call me in 48 hours and refused to refund me. The guy after me paid with his debit card, but because his landlord pays utilities and he didn’t have any to show, they refused his car as well. Straight up rip off.

Sixt+ is a trap. They told me I could swap out a vehicle and it become a nightmare where now I’m stranded 2 hours from my home with no vehicle and I spent 2+ hours with customer support who misled me into this situation that they say will take 7 business days to resolve. Please avoid this nightmare of a service in pretty packaging

I call and ask what’s up and they said my reservation has been cancelled and no one even notified me about this. Don’t bother wasting your time at this joke of a company :)

The person there knew there is a problem with priceline booking cars at the van ness location that is a $40 uber and 30 minute ride from the SF airport. Seems they would contact priceline and tell this them is not close to SF airport. Second the seats in the car were disgusting. Not what I was expecting.

Very good customer service. They was able to provide me a vehicle although I was 2 hours early. My only complaint is that their lot is mostly full of BMWs which go fast. If you want to rent a Lexus, Infiniti, Benz, Audi or Cadillac, you may want to look elsewhere.
