Vam llogar un cotxe per 3 dies, ens van cobrar 4 per anar-ho a recollir a les 22h de la nit i tornar-lo 2 dies després a la mateixa hora. Costa trobar on estan ubicats dins de l'estació de Sants. Vam intentar llogar el cotxe per l'APP però no funciona, s'ha de dir que la pagina web si que funciona i ens va servir de molt. Al recollir el cotxe ens el van canviar per algun de característiques similars, no sense intentar que paguéssim més per un altre cotxe. Vam llogar un bmw o un Audi A1 o similars, ens van acabar donant un Jaguar EX. Al arribar al parking on t'entreguen les claus, ens va atendre una noia que sols a donar les claus i ens va deixar per el parking buscant el cotxe (no es gaire gran el parking), però ni acompanyar-te em va decepcionar, ja que altres cops he llogat en altres companyes i van ser molt amables. La pantalla ens sortia en rus i no podiem canviar el idioma, ens sortia un fallo tot el rato. Al trucar atenció al client, ens van marejar una estona fins que al final ens van passar amb un mecànic. Al final era que el diposit de Adblue estava buit i que es tenia que reomplir. Vam arribar a parlar amb mecànics, i el ultim ens portava oli per el motor. A final ho vam arreglar. Al tornar el cotxe a última hora, allá no hi havia ningun lloc per els cotxes i ens vam trobar cotxes aparcats ens doble fila i sense ningun lloc. No estic contenta amb el servei rebut.

Do not rent here. I rented a 9 sits diesel van for a weekend with Sitx. On the day right after the rental, the van had a huge issue the assisted staring stopped working which almost made me have an accident and after I managed to stop the van, the vehicle completely stopped working. I contacted support, they sent a truck to recover the van and a taxi for me to go to the nearest sixt to get a new van. Arriving to the sixt office, I was told that they didn't have a van avaliable for me and they couldn't do anything for me. I spent my entire day (which was supposed to be a nice vacation) trying to solve this issue and at the end of the day they could only give me a small 5 sits gas car. After all this, I payd for a diesel van and only ended up using a small gas car and never got refunded, plus, they decided that the problem that the van had was my fault and so they charged me 160€ more without my concent. AVOID RENTING HERE AT ALL COSTS, I do not recommend. There are so many better rental companies, save yourself some money and huge headache/complications.

I rented a car from Barcelona Sants at the end of september and the car broke down in France. I will just say that we had to call Sixt Customer Service 10 times, absolutely no one knew what we had to do. Every single agent passed us from one to another and every one said something completely different. We were waiting on the motorway and towing truck from 5 hours and we did not have a replacement car after 16 hours. it's been a month and a half and I am still waiting for the reimbursement of the taxi that they promised me on the phone. I have sent 2 e-mails to claims-es (the email address they told me to and the documentation requested) and I have not received any response yet. Sixt might be a good company if things go well, I don't know. But if something comes up, Customer Service is just ineffective. -- UPDATED -- It took almost 3 months and they refunded me all the extra money we had to pay because of the breakdown. I appreciate your understanding I highly advise to improve your Customer Service.

I was really wary renting from SIXT given some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised by the fast service and the free upgrade I got here. The car was very new, it even had the typical new car smell, minimal scratches/dents most of which were recorded. I used a 4K GoPro to record all of the car's ex-/interior, checked the oil and noted the gas and mileage before I took off and right when I returned the car. I had no extra coverage except the one for tires/rims, excess was covered by my travel insurance. Was unsure about tires/rims so I bit the bullet, maybe it was unnecessary. We traveled 1500 km trough three countries without any problems. Got a final invoice in the mail a week and a half later that said total amount: 0 EUR, so I didn't need to use my footage. All in all a great experience!

Went there to rent a van for 5 hours (paid in advance online). When I got there I showed the lady a driving permit issued by a EU country that legally allow me to drive in Spanish territory (I'm still waiting for my new driving license to be delivered). She said it was the company policy not to accept documents not written in spanish, so I could not rent the van. Not really the best policy but ok, she promised me I would get my money back, she just had to talk to her boss and authorize the refund, and she told me she would take care of it and I didn't have to do anything. After a few days I haven't got my money back, instead I received the mail from Sixth with the invoice thanking me for the purchase. EDIT: I got my money back eventually

Do not rent a car at this place. You WILL get ripped off. We rented a VW Polo to go on a 4day roadtrip. They charged us around €300 which was already a ton, but okay we were minus 25 years of age and full insurance, so whatever. When we returned the car we tanked 20-25km outside of Barcelona since there are no gas stations in Barcelona and they charged us €50 to fill the tank. Even though it was 7/8 blips full. Apparently they had to put 21,20 liters in there to fill it, straight nonsence. Few days later we got a speeding ticket for €30 in Valencia and they charged us with an ADMINISTRATIVE COST of €35. What a complete joke, forwarding a mail costs €35? These people will rip you off for every last cent you've got. Gangsters

You were so close to getting 5 stars, messed up right at the finishing line by trying to charge us for a microscratch that was already there! Friendly customer service, almost new car. Treated the car well, and made sure not to get any scratches. When handing the car back, the sixt representative pointed out a TINY almost not visible scratch. Told him I did not make this scratch and that I had actually pointed it out when I got the car, but the Sixt representative told me she would only note down scratches larger than 5 cm. We found the pictures we took of the car when we took it out, and had the proof the scratch was already there. Take pictures, or the will try to get you with microscratches.

Stay away from the low cost rental companies like Goldcar and Firefly. The prices looks awesome, but they are scams and you will actually end up paying more and have the added stress of dealing with an unprofessional company. Sixt does not have hidden fees and prices are fair. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I've rented from Sixt twice and both times my experience was excellent. Most recently, our rental car had a couple issues. We weren't able to swap the car during our trip so Sixt offered a credit on our next rental. I can't ever imagine those low cost rental companies would ever do that. If you want good service, go wtih Sixt.

Sixt's commerical practices were agressive and unprofessional. We had booked an economy class car. When we arrived at the facility they offered us a larger car, a special offer for extra money. We declined. Then, that same larger car was given to us at no extra charge because the reality was that there were no economy class cars left at the facility. Moreover, the employee insisted that we got further insurance and premiums that we did not want. Quite dissapointed at the company's aggresive commercial policies, because other than that the experience was positive: good car, location easy to find, and smooth return.

Sants train station is convenient if you're staying in town and need to get a car w/o going to airport. But pickup process at Sants train station is a hassle, in that you need to go up and down stairs, in order to complete the process (paperwork downstairs in the train station, cars on the roof). I was given a BMW X1 (not my first choice) with a totally dead hybrid battery. There was something wrong with the car, and it would not take a charge after wasting 2 afternoons trying to find a charge point in the Costa Brava. Wasted time and burned a bunch of extra petrol. Won't be renting from Sixt again.

We had to wait a long time for collection but expected that, and the office in the underground car park is sweltering. The car was fine. However we were unfairly claimed for damage on a wheel rim after returning home (all the wheels already had damage on collection!). Fortunately we took photos on collection to prove it wasnt us. They didnt reply by email to say the claim had been dropped and resolved or apologise but i 'think' they saw the proof was obvious and returned the deposit. Beware, its clearly a scam to get easy money from tourists that wont bother disputing from another country.

Everything went smoothly. One thing surprised me, though: no inspection of the car before taking it. Looking at the papers, I later saw that the driver is supposed to do this on their own and tell staff about any damage not already listed. No inspection on return either, which surprised me based on my previous experience renting cars. We opted for the extra insurance (zero liability), so presumably we would have been covered for any new scratches, etc. Still, I think the staff should tell people verbally if they're expected to inspect the car themselves.

Worst car rental experience in my all life. Only one person is present a Friday evening, I am waiting since almost an hour and I still don't have the car. Moreover there are two offices at the train station and you need to go to each of them in the correct order (first to make the paperwork, second to pick up the car). It is not indicated in which order you should go through the offices, so if you do it in the wrong order, you'll wait even more (which I did). Crazy how badly organized this company is, they don't deserve a single client.

Sixt, rental agency located at the Barcelona Sants rail station. Staff are very polite and professional. They speak many languages. I recommend to do the reservation online as you will always have a cheaper price than directly in store. We were served by Kelly/Keli, a dedicated professional employee that take care of us from the arrival to the agency to accompanied us to our car and explained all the process. Cheers to her. We need more people like you. Overall, Sixt is always known for great services - quality of cars.

Charged more than agreed, terrible attitude, miss-selling of insurance covers and will just repeatedly shout saying it is more than you have on your invoice, with zero explanation(no language barrier, just an honesty barrier). Hidden fee's, terrible attitude, must pay on credit card to stay safe with this rental company. sixt UK sorted straight away so props to them, but sants train station has a terrible team and Barry is especially rude and condescending! Still not resolved 3 months later, stay away!

I went there with my girlfriend needing a car last minute. And we were greated by David, he and his colleagues, were very helpful with this and they were very nice and helpful. I higly recommend getting a car from them. The car was new only had alittle over 1800 km and it was very well cleaned. Speed of the service was exceptional and david talked to us gave us some tips for the car and made sure all of our needs were met despite the short notice. Everything went smooth and nice. Highly recommended!

El personal de Sants molt amable, cap queixa de com ens van atendre. Per desgràcia ens van donar un cotxe que tenia un problema als frens. Vam haver d'aturar-nos i trucar a la grua. Vam haver de trucar tres vegades al seu servei d'atenció al client abans que ens enviessin un taxi a l'oficina més propera amb cotxe disponible... la qual era molt més lluny del nostre origen! Total, cinc hores perdudes i encara estem intentant arreglar-ho amb el seu department d'atenció al client.

Just had a 4-day rental from Sixt at Barcelona Sants - booked online in the morning and completed the reservation in person with Domingo, and had the car a few minutes later. Domingo was very helpful and made the booking process simple and easy. The car was great, and came with satnav which I hadn't booked, so that was a bonus. Dropping the car back was really quick and easy. Altogether a great experience - very different to some other rental companies I have used recently.

I highly recommend Sixt. They were very friendly and helpful at check in, despite an issue that I was having with accessing my booking details. Returning at the Barcelona Sants station is a bit nerve racking due to lack of signage, but once located, it was a good experience. Car was in great condition, cleaned and well maintained. A bit more car than needed (BMW 420i convertible), but a joy to drive except on the narrow Spanish streets. Overall, a very good experience!!

Empresa nos estafó, fue lenta y además no tenía el coche disponible como acordado. The slowest service i have ever seen to pick up a car already reserved. We stayed 1 hour and half to pick up the car and we only had 6 people in front of us. When we were attended, they told as they didn't have the car ready . We had to wait 2 more hours. The worst experience you could ever have and it seems they are used to provide the service like this.

Splendid customer service at Barcelona Sants railway station. Quick, professional and competent handling of the car rental process from booking to return of the car. Particularly, the Sixt service representative (Lina) ensured an efficient procedure in a friendly atmosphere. A very good deal was provided compared to other car rental companies (early July 2017). Best car rental experience in Spain since many years. Well done!

As usual, they will screw you with scratches that aren't from your rental. Classic bull. Remember to double check everything even if the report in the car shows dozens of lines. Take pictures yourself... Also, this place is crowded because it's a station and the return ramp is really hard to find because it's on a lane that can only be used by buses and taxis. I'd recommend another easier location if possible.

Lot for the car pick up was hidden behind the hotel upstairs from the rental counter. No signs, and no clear directions given by the staff either. I got 2 (automated camera) speeding tickets during the rental period. Sixt charged me an admin fee - for each one - that effectively doubled the cost of the citation! For providing my email address! What a lousy way to generate additional revenue.

The service was friendly and excellent. We initially had different reservations for another car rental and when they “lost” our reservation we were forced to look for other options. However, Sixt was immediate and very helpful during a somewhat stressful situation. The cars are newer models and exceptionally clean. We will be booking through this company for rental cars moving forward.

The representative was nice and easy to deal with. My car was clean and came full with fuel. My only issue was that it took them 45 minutes to get my car cleaned and every time I asked they just said another 10 minutes. Returning the car was easy and only took a minute, they didn't even do an inspection. Overall I think this is the best rental company in Spain.

I rented a car for 4 days in June 2021 (MINI Convertible) and now SIXT wants to charge me twice the amount agreed in my contract and I am fighting non-stop to get this money back. This company does not have a good after-sales service. Absolutely NOT recommended in case you have problems with the rent because they simply charge and disappear :(

I got downgraded and they never refunded it. They (Anna) tried to manipulate me into signing an agreement of 2 new scratches (luckily I had pictures proving that they were there before my rental) and I couldn't use the A/C for the whole weekend because... it had cigarettes INSIDE the A/C and each time I activated it, it would blow tobacco.

I had a very bad experience with Sixt. They litteraly charged us for fake expenses. In fact, they charged us for an additional driver + a flex return from one office to another. However, we bringed back the car in the right localisation (the same as the one we took it) + we didn't have either register any 2nd drivers... Very disappointed

Després de fer la reserva per internet, a la hora de la recollida vam haver d'esperar 1 hora per acabar els tràmits de lloguer. La noia que ens va atendre molt eficient, un 10. Si necessiteu conductors adicionals IMPORTANT carnets i estar present en el moment de la recollida del vehícle. Per telèfon no ens van informar d'aquest requisit.

Superb customer service! Our service representative was William - friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. At the very last moment, before entering the car, we discovered that our suitcases will not fit in the trunk. William was able to arrange an upgrade at lightning speed, and we drove off happily. Way to go, William and Sixt!

The service here is exceptional. We actually came here because enterprise canceled our reservation inadvertently. We were happy to find that Sixt had same day car rentals. Paul was very accomodating. We had 1400$ for insurance which worked out. I would highly recommend them over enterprise or other rental car companies

I have rented a lot of cars in my life, but Sixt has been the worst experience so far. The cars are fine, but the administration is a disaster. Wrong invoices are being sent, unlawful charges are being made to my creditcard. Getting customer support to resolve it takes weeks, if not months. No more Sixt for me.

Very shady business: weeks after returning the car they send us an invoice for damages we did not do. Even worst they use the pictures we took BEFORE getting the car during the checkout with the employee to justify the damages. This is totally unacceptable behavior. Avoid that business by any mean!

Excellent service. As usual the car was not what I had ordered, however it was fine, in fact probably better for the family trip. The only difficulty with this Sixt branch at Sants Estacio is finding it, both from the train station and by road when returning your vehicle - they need signage.

Dealt with Domingo who was efficient and friendly. And when we picked up the car upstairs the employee was also very helpful. Also dealt with some reps on the phone and all were very helpful. Would definitely rent from Sixt again. Lots of offices in Barcelona.

Great service. Very good new car. It was a bit difficult to find the SiXT office inside Barcelona Sants Train Station for the pick-up and drop-off location at the end. They need to provide better instructions. Great experience overall. I will use SiXT again.

The queue to pick up the keys is endless. We waited around 2 hours to collect them. There was only one attendant during one of the busiest weekends in the year. Waiting so long is the last thing you want when you’re about to start a nice vacation.

Great customer service, fast paperwork, no hidden charges, clean cars in good conditions, but a little bit pricey. We got Audi A4 with automatic transmission for 8 days - didn't have any troubles on our way to Monaco and back!
