I went here for the annual macaron day and experienced multiple issues which will be laid out into three separate parts in this essay. These 3 issues revolve around the pre-order, the no-refund rule, and the absolute deception of the manager/owner. The day before SWEET’s macaron day, there was a preorder form that allowed people to pick their flavors and pickup time. It required you to select the 15% tip, which was I assume to have your order prepackaged. I set to pick up my order at 5:15 PM. I then arrived at 5:10 to pick up my order, and found a huge pre-order crowd waiting in front of the store, as well as a line for current orders. As I waited with the rest of the pre-orders, I saw many current orders able to go inside and pick their Macarons and leave, presumably without having to pay tip. I ended up waiting for a total of 1.5 hours for my order, just like many other pre-order customers. Essentially, I tipped to wait a hour for Macarons that others were able to get instantly without pre-ordering. As for the no refund rule, about an hour and 15 minutes into my waiting, an employee went outside to announce that they were out of two flavors: green tea and espresso. Many people were confused, and one woman asked to get a refund on the Macarons she would not receive. The manager/owner then walked out to tell her she couldn’t get a refund, even without getting her order yet. And instead had her choose different flavors. I overheard this conversation and was bothered because I too ordered some of those flavors and was wanting to get a refund. Then, as I was about to ask about my order, they brought it out and it was given to me quickly. I was confused, as they just announced they were out of flavors, so I opened my box to check. I saw green ones and brown ones that looked like the flavors that I ordered, and they were all there, so I assumed that they packed my order before they ran out. I then left and went home. Now comes the deception of the manager. After getting home, I saw that the flavors I ordered were not the correct ones, they just looked like them initially. Instead of green tea, I got pistachio and instead of espresso, I got salted caramel. Both were substituted specifically with colors that were ambiguous and could have been the ones I ordered. I was never asked to substitute my flavors, and was never told that they replaced them. When I realized, I called the store and talked to the manager. They refused to give me a refund or take accountability, and instead blamed it on their workers for not “knowing the flavors”. However, if they were out of the flavors I asked for they should not have gotten confused. When asked about this, the manager simply said “since you’ve left the store we cannot do anything, and can’t give you a refund.” I also mentioned how bad it could have been if someone had been allergic to pistachios, and got a blank apology. In total, I got 16 Macarons replaced without my knowledge or consent. Overall, the awful system and terrible management made this much more difficult than it should have been, and that fact coupled with the lack of compromise with the manager left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

So my husband suprised me with a mother's day delivery from Sweets. (I was at work at the time of the delivery.) Anyhow, when I came home my daughter brought out the gift, I was so excited. I opened the box, it was a "white cake that spelt out the word MOM, topped with macaroons, fresh strawberries and gold flakes." The part that had me bummed is that the cake looked like it had been through some things. Some of macaroons had fallen off the cake so they were against the box and they were cracked looking it ruined the whole design. It was two layers so the first layer had slid of the bottom layer so it looked like a double M and there was whipped cream all on the side from it sliding off. I had only 3 or 4 gold flakes which seemed a little odd to me. The gift that was suppose to come to me in a beautiful presentation was not. I'm very grateful for my husbands thoughtfulness and I did not complain to him or to my children, I fixed it up and I took a picture but DID NOT post it.... However for the money and time my husband took out to do what he did this was very unprofessional. I will not continue nor allow my husband to continue any further business with Sweets Bar and Inc. PS- My husband spent over 300 and the picture attached was taken after I tasted my first macaroon ever and I ate some of the cake. I just couldn't let it go I was upset, so I took a pic. When no one was looking. THE CAKE WAS GOOD so that was a plus. #HonestTea

For my 21st bday, my mom decided to order me a cake from here since we’re both a fan of their cake flavors. On the website, it states that the smallest cake can feed up to 4-6 people. The cake we received was a joke. Not only was it the size of my iPhone but the frosting work on it was ridiculous. When we were ordering the cake, they asked how would we like it frosted. My mom asked for a dark to pink ombré. When they showed us the cake, we were just so baffled on 1) how ridiculously small the cake was 2) the frosting was not ombré! The frosting was basically 3 different stripes. And to make it worse it wasn’t what we asked for! When we told the workers they made a mistake, they said they can refrost the cake, it’ll just take 15 min. We reluctantly agreed to wait. It ended up taking 30 minutes. And once we got the cake back, again it was 3 stripes. Do people here not know what ombré is? Ombré is when colors shade into one another. Not only was the refrost a total joke but there was a giant bump on the cake. I like Sweet. I like the flavors they have and the place is cute. However, with the disappointment of the cake for my 21st and the lack of decent customer service, forget it!

My first mistake was thinking a well known bakery would take care of my request easier/faster than a local bakery. I had the worst interaction with catering manager Erica, she was difficult to get ahold of, never returned phone calls or emails. Asked for my request on flavor of macaroons and instead of responding picked that out themselves. I asked for extra berries in which it was surprisingly written on the order however fell through once actually making the cake. Don’t even get me started on the cake itself; BLANDEST cake my family and I have ever tasted. Besides the terrible flavor, when I picked up the cake one of the numbers was caving under while the top billowed over and as you can see in the photos the “sponge” cake had holes the size of a nickel. I couldn’t think of a worse place to ruin my moms “dream cake”. The Instagramable number cake wasn’t even worthy of pictures besides to show how horrible it turned out. If you think you may have luck with the managers in store, think again terrible terrible attitude. She had the nerve to ask me to wait to fix their mistake; absolutely not. Will never return or recommend to anyone.

Charming little shop, very friendly and professional service, and well, plastic tea. Full disclosure: this was my first time here, and this is the only thing I've ever tried. I like the look of the place (classic French country style), tiny and cozy in feel, along with very nice staff. I tried the Organic Green Tea. I've had green tea many times, sweetened and unsweetened. This didn't even taste like tea. It's difficult to describe, but with liquid sweetener (apparently it's made from real cane sugar), it not only wasn't sweet, but tasted sort of like bad tap water mixed with a strange industrial/chemical taste, like a plastic or styrofoam container that's been heated in the microwave and left a taste on your food. It was just too gross, and I asked them to throw it away after telling them what it tasted like. They apologized, but didn't try to make up for it. They just took it and threw it away, and that was it. I don't plan to ever come back. First impressions are always important, and this one doesn't encourage me to give this place a second chance.

Super overrated - the best thing about this store is where it is located in the beautiful Town and Country plaza. That is I suppose how they justify their upscale prices. They have a decent variety of items. The service is okay, most of the young people at the counter seemed on top of things and were very polite. I wanted something special for a party, so I had the chance to sample quite a few flavors of their muffins and cake balls. The taste was okay to very good. Chocolate was not full bodied or rich enough. Strawberry was the best, moist and full flavored. The final test of good food is how it feels an hour or two later. I felt some discomfort. I mostly cook for myself, and use the best ingredients, so I'm a barometer for inferior ingredients: hydrogenated fats, palm, corn or other indigestible oil, corn syrup instead of real sugar, possibly also something containing preservatives. Any of these, or a combination thereof, and the food doesn't go down well. This was the case here.

You can have the BEST cakes, cupcakes or macarons in the world, but nothing taste better than being polite and welcoming. I went to SWEET last night with my family and I got a 30 second blank stare from one of the associates before I finally took the initiative to speak. If you don’t like your job, don’t like working late hours or are simply having a bad day, don’t work at places like this! A $3 macaron and $4 cupcake at least deserves a simple, “Hi, welcome in”. We got none of that. I don’t think people realize that your “personality” or not being a “people person” isn’t a thing when you work in environments like Cuty Center. I won’t be back; furthermore I completely took them off my company’s holiday party list for places to buy from. First impressions are everything. The young man that checked me out didn’t even say thank you! I’d identify who he was but it’s hard enough for young men now days. Hopefully he cheers up! It’s the holidays. Btw the Biscoff cupcake was to die for!!

Customer service was horrible. I bought 2 cupcakes last night for a gift. The icing on one cupcake was destroyed when the flap of the box dug into it instead of the inside of the box. I wanted to bring them back and get new ones. This morning, Danny the owner called me and was very rude. No, he would not exchange them because he said the camera showed that the flap didn't dig into the cupcake and he can verify it. How does a camera see and record inside a box? Danny does not stand by his products. How do I know this? Look at his reviews, there is more that mention no refunds.... Will this prevent others from coming to their shop to buy goodies? Probably not..does that matter to me? No. The purpose of this post is to illustrate how rude and arrogant he was, and how he attempted to gaslight me. Will I come back? No. Will he care - no... do I care that he doesn't care? No. Also...packaging needs to be be different so the cupcake can come out without being destroyed.

My husband brought me here for dessert because he had heard great things. Unfortunately the attitude of the people working there just ruined the experience for me completely. They seemed irritated with us we couldn't figure out exactly what we wanted fast enough. They kept asking anything else anything else?? kind of aggressively as if we were wasting their time. We went in with high expectations and left with a sour taste in our mouth. We ended up buying three cupcakes and one macaroon. One of the cupcakes tasted like straight up corn bread. The last straw was when new customers walked in and they were explaining that one of their drinks tasted watered down and the workers there were immediately defensive and once again arguing with the customer. I don't even know how this place stays in business with how the employees are treating the customers. They were incredibly rude, I'll be happy to let everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. Not worth it.

This is a very cute location and if you want to indulge in decadence sweet, this is the place! They have a handful of options that are both vegan and gluten-freebut you'll have to ask the gentleman behind the counter who is very accommodating and customer service oriented. They're also good for coffees and teas I happen to have a iced Green matcha with rose tea and light iced, my only complaint was that the lid was strawless.... And I don't understand that at all.... but they had another interesting and fabulous green-friendly promotion that they utilize. If you purchase one of these small mason jar items and return the jar they will take a dollar off your next purchase!!!! Totally love that! And they have so many options in the area of macaroons, you can't go wrong ♥️ of course like the area it is not cheap, maybe even expensive.... I would definitely recommend this

  • You, Me & We - THAT Relationship Show

I like Sweet. I always have. I've been enjoying their macarons (NOT macaroons) since they opened in City Centre. It's losing a star today for two simple reasons: 1) the macaron tower I ordered was difficult to eat, excessively crumbly and hard in texture as if it was days old, and was covered in candy pearls that nearly broke my tooth. A lil waring about those pearls would've been nice; 2) the cupcakes and pastries for sale near the register were behind plexiglass, yet it had a 2" gap between it and the countertop. So, the unmasked small children who were eye-level with the countertop kept poking at, touching and breathing all over them. I was mortified. The dozen of their usual macarons that I bought were contained in a cold case, so I felt comfortable with my purchase.

I don’t normally leave reviews for a restaurant when I haven’t tried their food. I stopped by around 2:30 on a Friday afternoon. There were 3 groups in line and a group waiting on their drinks. Unfortunately, there only appeared to be one poor girl working. I stood in line for about 25 minutes. During that time, the drinks were made for that group and the line of customers waiting to order did not move up at all. The employee looked to be rushing as much as she could. I felt sorry for her. While I waited in line, another 3 groups joined behind me. I left without purchasing anything. I will say, though, the bakery smelled wonderful and the desserts looked delicious. Was really disappointing as I was planning on making a pretty large order to sample a lot.

Visited this location to pick up a set of birthday macaroons. I originally wanted to place a big order of 20 but change my mind once I was mistreated. I googled this location prior to visiting and the macarons looked very good and I was excited to try. The customer service was terrible, the young lady behind the counter made my experience horrible. She had an attitude and anytime I asked a question it increasingly got worse, but funny enough the customer after me of a different race was treated so much better it's like her whole attitude change, she even offered her drinks and asked her was there anything else she could do for her.... a luxury of which I did not receive. I'll never return there again. Needless to say I didn't place my big order anymore.

I came to this store on 6/17 around 6:45pm. I do not appreciate how I was treated. No one greeted me when I arrived at the store. One of the cashiers who checked me out (a young Caucasian girl with long brown hair) seemed like she had an attitude. No one said "Thank you" or "Have a nice day" when my transaction was over. However, I noticed a huge difference in how a Caucasian family was treated when the entered the store after me. All of the employees behind the desk greeted them the moment they walked in.....when I walked in I was ignored. As a person of color, I don't appreciate your selective customer service. Your staff needs to be trained to give good customer service to everyone.

While the food within this establishment is pretty good (not great) it is absolutely astonishing to me how on a Saturday night an establishment has just one person working. If I was the owner I would be down there making sure customers don’t end up with the experience we had last night. The guy on duty was doing his best but one person can only do so much. And with their showcase fridge broken, the guy was having to step into the back for each and every macron order. We waiting a good 7-8 minutes before the poor guys was able to just switch to the macron line (which we were 2nd in line.. so it was even longer before we were served). So if you go be prepared to wait.

  • Amy Garcia

My husband ordered a cake for pick up at 10:30. When we arrived they couldn’t find our order. Then we finally figured out they had taken down a completely different name. To make it worse the cake was not ready. They told us 11am so we went to walk then shops and came right back. The cake was not there at 11am. We had to wait until approximately 11:50am for our cake. If they think a coffee and one croissant (not 2 despite two of us waiting because they “only had one”)will make up for the fact that they threw our entire schedule of track they are wrong. This was not the first cake we ordered from here but it is the last. Very disappointed.

Stopped by here to try out some sweets. I tried the carrot cake and banana bread. To be honest, I wouldn't recommend it. They LOOK fantastic but the taste and cost is another story. Carrot cake was extremely dense and kind of dry, the banana bread was not moist and kind of tough to chew. On top of that, the carrot cake slice was $9.50.. Extremely overpriced vs quality imo. I'd just go get a cheesecake slice from cheesecake factory Can make a better banana bread at home for cheaper banana bread was around $5

I have been working in the food industry for more than 17 years and this is the store with the worst costumer service I ever seen... I bought a almond Croissant and I didn’t like, so I went to the store again to change for something simple, a butter croissant... and they said: I can’t change it. If you want a butter croissant you must buy it.. even they don’t wanna make my refund... what!? I returned, computers, shoes etc... and the stores didn’t complaints about it. But one croissant $3.50 I think is a serious waste right? LoL. I think they forget The first rule in food industry make the costumers feel the best experience...

I have been ordering cakes here for special occasions this past month and Anne has been super sweet! However, I came into the shop to pick up my cake today and paid almost $8 for an iced latte. Just for the counter staff to be rude because I questioned why an iced latte was the price it was. Then I asked for it to be sweetened a bit more as all it tasted like was plain coffee. I don’t appreciate the lack of hospitality , the whole transaction was very standoffish. Will continue getting my cakes from here and possibly picking up from a different location. Hard pass on the coffee dates with the side of dirty looks.

  • LaVonda F

This review is for this location. (City Centre) I walked in and asked the counter person, if the inventory was old because of it being after the holiday. I was ordering a couple of chocolate cupcakes. He said, "we bake everything fresh everyday". I got my two cupcakes home, ready to blow my Monday diet and I was very disappointed. There was nothing fresh about these cupcakes. Because I've had fresh cupcakes from this location, I had a reference to excellence to go by. The young man who worked the evening shift today , 11/30/2020 at 5PM, should be ashamed and shame on SWEET for selling those $4 stale cupcakes.

  • Lisamarie

Generally this place is great. Treats and coffee (esp. French macaroons) delish. Last time i went in and got a macaroon tower shaped like hearts. It was so hard that in trying to break off a piece most of it turned to dust. They (just one) employee was snippy when i brought it back and asked to exchange it for something else. But they did let me and the exchange treat was great. Hope they stay in business during covid. Excellent assortment of macaroons as good as Laduree ❤️ AND sometimes(half the time i go in) they have gluten free items. If time they had brownies and Blondie bars!

  • Zhansaya Orazalina

I visited this place twice. First time I really liked the coffee i got, it was caramel macchiato. I thought to myself “wow it’s the best coffee I’ve ever tried in my life”. That is why i decided to go there again and try that delicious coffee. But the second time i was a little bit disappointed because my “caramel macchiato” wasn’t as delicious as i expected and it wasn’t even close to be called “a good cup of coffee”. This is the main reason I’m giving it 4 stars. P.s. They make beautiful drawings on coffee even if it is a busy time.

If you’re craving for something sweet after your lunch or dinner at Citycentre, make sure you stop by this miniature, chic-looking bakery. Among some of Sweet’s offerings you will find: coffee, tea, cupcakes, cookies and muffins all made from scratch. Space-wise, Sweet is pretty tiny inside with just a few tables outside. It really doesn’t take much for the shop to fill up with customers. I’m giving this shop a 3 star rating as some of their offerings are bite-sized and way over priced in my opinion.

  • Elvira Reyes

Minus one star for the sheer audacity of the pricing. I’m from Austin, I know expensive pastries, and these are good but not perfect. Minus another star for the snippy service you receive despite that price tag. I was shocked when picking out Macarons that the girl at the counter sighed and then asked if I knew how many I’d be buying. Okay lol. Then when I ordered a Topo they told /me/ to get it. From the cooler behind the counter. Everything was very good but Jesus, a girl can only take so much.

  • Shakari Davis

i DO NOT like their attitudes and VERY RUDE! i felt very uncomfortable picking up my daughters cake 2 weeks ago, i just didn’t feel welcome in this location. you should always make your customers feel welcome because they’ll return. i’ve been getting all my cakes here for my baby girl— her 1st and her 2nd birthday. everyone always asks me where do i get my cakes but after this last visit. it wasn’t a great one! honestly, i love their sweets, but i’m considering spending my money elsewhere.

  • T. Tucker

Customer service is extremely lacking! We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty crowded. My kids wanted to try the cupcakes and was surprised they had gluten-free options. I ordered the chocolate and red velvet. Three cupcakes came out to $12. The blonde girl who took our order wasn't pleasant at all. She seemed annoyed to be there and was ready to get off work. Not the best cupcakes I've ever tasted or the worst. A bit dry, I LOVE a moist cupcake and these were NOT it.

  • brenda ashaka

The most DRY Cakes ever. I've ordered from here twice because I wasn't sure if something was just wrong with the first one but both cakes were vanilla and although the decor doesn't disappoint the cakes were so dry they were inedible. I'm not sure if people know they are just paying for looks but it's the absolute worst cakes I have ever spend money on. I would rather pay $300 for something that perhaps doesn't look as cute but taste better or just go to whole foods for a cake.

  • Briana Sanchez

Used to come here everyday but stopped since it's 50/50 they'll get your order wrong. Plus the blond girl rolls her eyes and is too lazy to remake the drink when it's wrong. She once forgot my steamed oat milk and poured half of it out and added cold oat milk to my drink. The other girl asked me if I wanted it remade and I said yes. Last time they forgot the lavender syrup but it wasn't worth going back. Please pay attention to the order and own up to it when it's wrong.

  • Elizabeth Terry

Cute and convenient dessert place in City Centre. However, my son and I walked in and weren’t greeted at all by either the girl at the macaron counter nor the other employee at the main counter. She did have one set of customers but she barely batted an eye at me until it was our turn. She was very cold. Sadly, I had already tipped 25% when she gave me a dirty look. Not sure if that’s just her face but she should fix it working in customer service.

  • tilisha conley

Maybe because I bake & was expecting a phenomenal cupcake. I tried the Strawberry cupcake. At $3.25 for a regular sized cupcake I was expecting strawberry flavor to ooze out of this simple iced treat. NOT! Nothing about it was strawberry amazing. I gave this place 3 stars because their customer service was excellent. Cupcake flavoring, not so much. I'll try a different flavor to give them another shot, but the strawberry was terrible.

  • Bianca

I came here for my birthday on the 10th of this month for the red velvet cupcakes. The staff was rude and very unwelcoming from the time I entered the building. I asked if there were any additional cupcakes since the display was low. I received a sarcastic & catty response, followed by 2 snickers. 3 fairly young girls were manning the desk. Never again. Cupcakes were not even fresh, or moist as i remembered. crumbled after the first bite.

  • Andrew Yang

Creme brulee 4/5, the custard tasted great but the caramelized sugar was kind of soggy. Would've been better if they caramelized the sugar when ordered. Fruit tart 5/5, custard seemed pretty similar to the creme brulee which was already good. Good fruits Salted caramel macaroon 4/5, tastes exactly like it sounds and looks cool. Espresso macaroon 1/5, not sure if I got a bad macaroon but it had the weirdest aftertaste, like masala spices.

  • Diana Smith

Other than a great coffee, the cupcakes are some of the best I've had. A little secret, every day is a different special. For example, Tuesdays the cake balls are 2 for $2 - this is information I did not need to know as the cake balls are a constant request from my 2 daughters. Everything I've had here has been great. The macaroons, croissants - you name it! AND, they're open early to grab a last minute treat for a coworker's birthday!

  • Erica TorresD

My family and I LOVE their gluten free red velvet cupcakes; however they are not an easy location to stop by and pick up and the past four times I have went out of my way to pick some up, they are out. Very frustrating. Management should plan better by now if these are such hot items and often run out. I would give a 5 star if they had the item available. Their creme brulee macaroons are delicious too and they are gluten free.

  • Raquel Cepeda Music

I have only eaten here the gluten free red velvet cupcakes, and I love them. Some of the best in town. Every time I have come I have been taken care of properly, and the establishment is chic and well taken care of. Recommend. My only suggestion is to have available cupcakes without the frosting. Not everyone is up for the extra calories, and the cupcake itself it already sweet enough. Otherwise, I enjoy coming here a lot.

  • William McWhirter

I’m so sad we had such a bad experience here because I absolutely love Tout Suite. Pros: the place is cute, the coffee is decent, and the brookie and macrons are great. Cons: the cake and cupcakes were terrible. Very very very dry and dusty. Tasted like the cake had been sitting out for weeks. Our money went directly in the trash after one bite. Skip this place and go to Tout Suite! Not sure what’s happening here.

  • Jane Smith

Great little shop in City Centre. There was a bit of a line. It was Sunday around 1pm, but it was worth it. The macaroons were perfect. Although I liked my husband’s pistachio more. The cappuccino ☕️ great. Perfect temperature. Not burning hot. They had almond milk which is my preference. Beautiful decorations and ambiance. We sat outside because when you have perfect weather days in Houston, you treasure them.

  • Venise Watson

Red velvet cupcakes.... Yessssss plz! I ordered red velvet and two raspberry macarons and they were delicious just the right amount of sweetness and softness. I also had an green iced tea. I definitely recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth. This is an intimate little spot that has a nice variety of treats. Cute for dates or grabbing sweets for the family or with friends.

  • Jennifer Urbina

I live in CityCentre so the convenience aspect of this little spot is amazing. However, I’m not convinced by the taste of their sweets. I’ve tried one of their cake slices, a cupcake, and some of their cake balls and neither of those desserts does it. They’re kinda dry and maybe a little too sweet for my taste. Looks wise desserts do look great but there’s definitely room for improvement.

  • Chris Le

I got a piece of coconut cake yesterday and it was so dry and hard. The coconut was not fresh. It’s worse than leftover cake. So disappointed!!! I called to talk to the store manager and she didn’t even apologize for selling leftover and told me that yesterday was the last day they made the coconut cake . She will relay the complaint to the baker . That was all I got from her

  • Sabrina

Yummy delicious treats. Not a big cafe and for that reason they are allowing only 6 people in at a time and must wear a mask due to the covid pandemic. I love the fact that they are very strict with there rules to keep customers safe! Great set up in store as my video shows. It’s neat and clean, you won’t be disappointed with the flavors and variety of items to choose from.

  • mahta masih

Best breakfast tacos I’ve had so far. They have this cute outdoor sitting area with a nice view of city center and coffee taste great. Hector in sweet café is very caring and professional. He makes sure you get everything you need to have the best time while in sweet cafe ☕️ P.S Elia and Marcello were very good. The latte they made for me was out of this world ☕️☕️

  • Melissa Pabon

I ordered the pumpkin spice latte and it was so much better than the Starbucks version. I also accidentally ordered a gluten free and vegan brownie, which I would never have ordered otherwise, and found that it was also very good. I could not tell the difference from a traditionally made brownie. I cannot wait to go back and see what other tasty treats they have!

  • Ann Marie Boatcallie

With short notice, my CEO asked me to arrange a meeting for our team and provide sweets. I have one team member who is sensitive to gluten, so she couldn't eat what the rest of us were having. SWEET has two gluten-free cupcake options. My order was delivered exactly on time, and the VP said I spoil her. Definitely made my life easier.

  • Judy Vergara

Great little gift or to take for dinner invite. Macarons are amazing, I recommend the rose and the lavender. Perfect "thank you" gift! Quality is great. I bought one time the brownies and they were amazing, we all loved them! For me the price is fair considering location, customer service, brand and quality.

  • Catsur na

I don't know about any of their other treats, but their macaroons are excellent. They have the perfect amount of filling and crumble just the right way. The flavors are accurate, intense/noticeable, which makes these fluffy little treats utterly delectable! I would totally come back just for the macaroons.

  • Marcos Oliver

Not sure if y’all are training new staff or what, but the vanilla chocolate chip cake y’all made today (9/19) is so dry. And I mean… DRY. Also, buttercream is grainy. Most definitely not worth $12.75 for one slice of cake. The fruit tart was alright, but $4.00 for the 2 inch bite-size tart is a bit high.

There’s mix feelings with this one because their customer service is not consistent. Sometimes I get really nice workers and the next time I go is completely different. Overall, their macaroons depending on which one you get of course are pretty good. I have yet to try their desserts but they look yummy

We love to come and shop at Towne & Country and then go for a walk around, then follow it up with a coffee and cupcake!! Their coffee is excellent and they have a wide variety of high end barista style selections! My son loves their cupcakes! Nothing like a caffeine / sugar high after some shopping!

  • Daniel Pérez

The cupcakes and coffee are delicious. The service is always super friendly. If you take time to read the negative reviews you'll see most of them have pretty subjective and ridiculous complaints. I've been coming here for half a decade and have never had an even remotely negative experience.

  • Dawnisha Dixon

Disappointed! I purchased three cupcakes on Sunday (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry) and all of them were dry! I ate here twice before last year and don't remember the cupcakes being such a disaster. The staff is nice and the decor is nice but it doesn't make up for the hard cupcakes!

  • Evelyn Lewis

Incredibly delicious macrons! The cream brûlée are my absolute favorite. Has just the right amount of chewy, crunch consistency! I come here a lot because they carry my favorite flavor! The customer service is good. Only complaint is they will charge you $1 for a CUP of faucet water.

  • Meagan Tisdale

My husband and I’s new favorite coffee shop! They have quality coffee and great customer service. I get the sweet dream latte and about halfway through feel the caffeine kicking in. My husband is an espresso “snob” and he says it’s probably the best espresso he has tasted in Houston!

  • P J

If you are looking for macrons, look no further! They are absolutely delicious; even the “specialty” flavors aren’t too strong (ie honey lavender or rose). I would go as far as to say one of, or even the best in Houston! I highly recommend; the cupcakes are moist and very good too!

  • K C

Absolutely delicious! Discovered this place while taking a stroll after watching a movie. Leslie gave great service & recommendations and I ended up trying the lemonade which was amazing and the bread pudding was the best ever! Will definitely be back next weekend for the lemonade!

  • Wale Edu

Staff and customer service is horrendous. You can see the countless reviews on this and we are all saying the same thing. I would think they’ll have an internal adjustment with all the feedback.

I love this coffeehouse. This is my favorite coffee in all of Houston. It tastes soooo yummy!!! Great customer service. I love Allie, Kate, Vanessa, and Angelica!!! They are all very sweet girls and brighten my day. Sweet is very blessed to have these girls on their team!!!!

  • Hitomi Gantt

This place is smaller than I expected but the selection of pastries was pretty good. Tried red velvet cupcake and key lime tart. Although both pastries tasted good, I think the red velvet cupcake had vanilla icing instead of cream cheese icing; they do differently, I guess.

  • Slayton Hrncir

I love macarons and whenever I see them somewhere I have to get some, I’ve tried quite a few different places and these are by far the very best I’ve had. My top 3 are Champagne, Lavender Honey, and Rose. The cronuts and strawberry creme croissant are also very good.

  • Taylor Stephens

Cakes are pretty good but customer service here isn’t the best. Called to place an order and nobody answers the phone. Once someone finally answered the women is eating something while talking on the phone. Just going to take my business somewhere else.

  • Anita Mehdipour

Worst customer service. I ordered a cake 3 weeks in advance. The day of my event, they called and said the cake didn't "rise" and that I had no cake. I had to last minute go buy a random cake from a random shop. DO NOT ORDER CUSTOM CAKES FROM THEM.

  • Topaz Campbell

The cupcakes tasted old and stale like they had been sitting there for days. They weren't moist at all. I was very surprised. Definitely not worth your money or the hassle to find a parking spot to go there. You can get better cupcakes elsewhere.

  • Caspar van der Sar

Nice bakery with very good coffees. Not much place to sit, so mostly to go, but it all looks delicious and it's hard to leave without indulging with just your coffee. Staff is very friendly and patient as well. Good little spot in City Center!

  • Apex Mgmet Information

bungee and bailey on the morning shift are wonderful. they are so friendly and helpful and the latte and cappuccino's they make are out of this world; making the morning coffee experience something to look forward to. Thank you both …

  • Liliana Barron

These 2 stars are only for the sweets, they are good but I have no desire to go back there again. The customer service and the customers have no consideration for people of color. I have been there at least 4 times and each time the cashier

  • Amber Spikes

I normally only get the macarons when I visit. I've tried the cupcakes when my boyfriend shared his from time to time and there were good, but not great. I went and got a slice of the s'mores cake and was excited to try it. The marshmallow

  • Natalie Biggs

I love Sweet and stop here every week on the way to church. However, today I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in a coffee shop. I ordered my usual drink after receiving it, it tasted really aweful. The guy behind the counter said he

One of the very few places in the City Center where you won't have to wait a long time get your food; SWEET serves some of the best Macaroons you can get in town. With ever changing seasonal flavors that go with their daily staples, they

Disappointed with the quality of food and service. Used to like cupcakes, very dry and not worth the price.

The food here is five stars, and the drinks have been good when I've had them in the past. But if there are seven people in line, and one employee in the building, who seems new to boot, the management here is obviously failing. I really

So I give this place huge praise for their coffee. I’m very picky about my coffee and this place uses quality fresh local beans, has a la Marzocco machine and quality grinder and pulls very good shots. I don’t know the area well, but I

  • Jamecia Owens

I would like to start by saying I've never physically been inside SWEET, however I've had dozens of their cupcakes over the past year. I love these cupcakes!!!! Chocolate, strawberry, and a few others that I can't recall at the moment.

  • Timi Purifoy

Adorable and incredibly high quality shop with super friendly baristas!! Can’t wait to try all of their desserts as well!! If you’re in the area, grab yourself an iced Chocolate + Raspberry latte, they make their own flavors in house!

  • Ariana

I have ordered twice from here and they messed up both times. The first time I made an order for a birthday cake about 3 days in advanced. The day I had arranged to pick up the cake they said it was suppose to be for the next day,

  • Stef P

Small little place with a chic decor. The service was friendly, but it is over priced. It could definitely use more seating. The cupcake I ordered was okay, but not something that I really loved or couldn't wait to go back for.

  • Honest Reviews

Dry, small and somewhat bitter funny taste is how I would describe their cupcakes. I've gotten way better cupcakes at HEB for $2.00. In my experience you can spend your money elsewhere for a much, much better desert.

  • Michelle Yang

Their raspberry milk tea with tapioca is soooo good. I love their clear tapioca. But the cafe is pretty small so you can't really stay there to talk. Their cupcakes are really good too. Love the red velvet cupcakes!

  • Rahul Verma

Great coffee and bakes - I don’t know why the place has such low reviews. Coffee here is significantly better than some other nearby coffee shops

Best sweets ever. I love their birthday cake, I’m just waiting on them to bring it back but in the meantime their funfetti cupcakes tastes just the same. Lattes taste great and so do their macarons.

  • Jordan Burciaga

Unlike other's, I had excellent service and personality from the person behind the couter. Coffee was good and the macaroons were excellent. Maybe a bit pricey but city center isnt cheap in general.

  • Yuxi x

The two Arabic girls working at the counter were very friendly & super helpful! The size of drinks are generous, & the sweets were delicious.

I was disappointed by the size, texture and flavor of these cupcakes. Not only did we not eat the icing but we disliked the flavor. If these were sugar free or vegan, I would totally understand.

  • Karina Reyes

House Drip coffee was excellent. Chocolate cake pop was tasty and moist but the Chocolate Chip cake flavor was good but the cake was dry. Took 2 bits and left it. Couldn’t finish it.

  • L F

The macaroons here were the best I have ever had! The birthday cake was the best. Good coffees and excellent selection on treats. Right next to the green to grab coffee and walk.

  • tabassom fateri

Horrible quality, just sugar and does not taste like anything. I ordered 4 dozens on their anniversary sale. The macarons did not look the same or same size at all. Never again.

  • Jaqueline J

Such a cute place! Got the macarons which were delicious but not the best by any means. The lemon flavor was my favorite. Would be a cute date place for coffee and dessert.

  • R M

I highlyyyyyy recommend it to anybody I know . AMAZING Creme Tart cake for a birthday party! soooo yummy ! Thank you for the great design and amazing taste ❤ …

  • Araceli Alvarado

Cute shop! Yummy treats! But the girl at the macaroon display seemed like she didn’t want to help me. Also I paid for 8 macaroon and she only gave me 7.

  • Felix Maganjila

I love the bread. Very delicious, soft. One thing I like about the bread is that can easily be digested. I am a repeat customer for almost 6 months now.

  • Roy Chowder

This is a great little coffee shop. The staff is young, sweet and very friendly. They have great coffee, tea and tunes. Their macaroons are yummy too!

  • Rajesh Nair

Kids are in love with their macarons.. I like the crème brûlée the best of Sweet!! My city square visit is never complete without visiting this place

  • T D

The place was very cute and nice, but the cupcakes are super dense and lackluster(i had Vanilla and Strawberry); however, the frosting was very good.

  • Kareem A

Very nice and calming atmosphere with a great staff. I went into the wrong shop but was glad I did! I'll have to come back for more.

  • Kiara Clark

Cake was expensive and extremely dry. Idk why bakeries leave things exposed to the air for aesthetics when it ruins the pastries.

  • C A (Jellie&Me)

Sweet! Sweet customer service! Sweet cupcakes overall pleasant experience. Had the Vanilla Bean cupcake - was delish! …

  • paris allison

I placed a cake order and never heard back. Very unprofessional, super disappointed. Will not be coming back

  • Tavia Morman

I come here often and the cupcakes are always good. Strawberry, Funfetti and the Vanilla bean! Yum.

  • Don holyo

Great service and suggestions by fonzi. LOVE everything about Sweets and shall be back very soon!!

  • nereida young

Reason for my 5 stars the strawberry cupcake omg! So delicious best cupcake I have ever eaten!!!!

  • Annette Goh

Everything were freshly made from scratch and very pretty. Good coffee too.
