So I’ve been coming here since I was little and will say hands down the best ceviche in Miami. I’ve tried just about every ceviche there is in Miami and if you want an authentic Peruvian ceviche you need to go to sabor a peru! Coming down to atmosphere it is a very causal place to eat but if you’re a foody that won’t really be a problem! Customer has improved over time will say though MERCEDES is hands down the best she always is makes the effort to meet your needs and is always 100% ready to get attend you with a smile and joy! The only thing I would say they do use square which could be miss leading with fees or price but I’ve never been over charged and if I have ever had a question about the bill they have no problem explaining the bill. Will say though would love if they would change there to go container for the ceviche the juices tend to come out but other than that very much grateful for this restaurant and service given!

I’m giving this place two stars because the food doesn’t exactly taste bad, its passable but... I made a phone order for three ceviches mixto and one lomo salteado. I went to pick up my order.. there is no pick up area its the walkway from the kitchen, cashier and dining area barely any space to stand, A guy/gal greeted me I said I was picking up, he/she told me my total was “$85 without service fee” I handed $100 dollar bill and stood there he came back and asked me if I desired my change?? Most ppl dont tip when picking up food but I always do however I felt uncomfortable.. when I got home to eat my food I then discovered that there is no shrimp in the mixed ceviche so I called and they said the mixed ceviche doesn’t bring shrimp so if you want shrimp you have to ask for marisco ceviche lol which is what I thought this was already the lomo salteado wasn’t all that either. I dont think I’ll be back to this place

Update, 2023: Came back after 7 years and I wasn't disappointed one bit. The food tasted as delicious as always. The Ceviche de Pescado was to die for. Their Lomo Saltado was perfection. It tasted like mom's cooking and it was a perfect dinner. Their flan, juice, papa a la huanacaina was as always perfect. 2016: Best ceviche of my life! The fried shrimps were also really good. And for appetizer, their Papa A La Huancaina was absolutely amazing. Their shakes and juices are very fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend everything on their menu!

Food was alright, on the other hand, service was horrible. We were served by an older man with glasses and he took our order. Once our order arrived, I realized he got an item in our order wrong. Correcting him and asking if he could change it, he immediately told us it was our fault and continued, basically saying he didn't care. Including this, he was a rude and arrogant server. There was another server who came and gave us napkins, which she was very kind of and we made small talk. Overall, food was overpriced and nothing special. Terrible service food was meh. Food from locura marina peruvian restaurant is better recommend, instead of going here. Service there is better with the food being higher quality, tasting better, and a reasonable price.

Stopped in here last night based on family recommendation. The food was excellent. We ordered the octopus with olive, garlic fish and steak with egg, beans, rice and plantain. The octopus and the fish dishes were amazing. Not at all what we anticipated but so glad we chose them. The octopus is super tender with a nice salty addition from the olives that are blended into mayonnaise. Sounds weird but definitely works. The garlic fish dish came out swimming in some type of garlic sauce. Amazing flavor but bring breath mints. The garlic is very evident. The steak dish was good also but nothing spectacular. Cooked perfectly and all. The beans were seasoned extraordinarily well. This place is a must try.
I’ve been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants and this is by far the best food I’ve ever had. My favorite dishes are the ceviche mixto (mild) which is descent size portion which can be shares by two. The steak arroz chaufa is also another dish which can be shared by two or even three people depending on how hungry you’re. Jalea is my favorite, this is also another dish that can be shared by two or three people. Make sure to give these dishes a try, also be aware that this place gets extremely busy and it can get cramped inside. Also, be patient since the service can take a bit of time but the food wont disappoint
This restaurant was the place where I tried peruvian food for the first time back in 2016... I've been a regular ever since. Everything here is so delicious, and the service is always amazing.

This place had the best Lomo saltado before, I used to stop by every time I was in the area until I found one of those wire from a sponge in my plate for the second time. Today I decided to give it a second chance and it wasn’t bad but is not wha I expected, also the menu said 22.99 for the lomo and the bill was 24.99. My friend asked for a soup without shrimps and had shrimps when arrived, staff was super helpful solving the issue, still don’t think I’m coming back.

As an ex-Peruvian restaurant owner, I have to say it’s difficult to find authenticity and freshness like I’m accustomed to...I have only a few Peruvian restaurants I would recommend in Miami-Dade. Sabor a Peru is the best you will find according to quality and quantity, freshness, service, and reasonably priced in the midtown/design district/downtown/north miami area. You can’t go wrong with this choice. I naturally go for the traditional Jalea and Ceviche de Pescado, and maybe a lomo saltado here and there.
The service was fine. My bf got the carne a la parilla and it was huge but he couldn’t eat like half of it as it wasn’t properly cleaned. It was also somewhat bland. I got the ceviche de pescado y pulpo and it was decent so I was happy. Fast forward less than 12 hours I spent the night running to the toilet every hour or so… and I don’t typically have a sensitive stomach like this. I’m not so happy anymore. Never going back.

We're peruvian and thought that the food was pretty good. The service was great. We ordered Papa a la Huancaina, Anticuchos de Corazon, Tamal (all 5 stars), Pollo Saltado (chicken was tender, but authentic flavor, slightly lacking, 4 stars), Ceviche (3 stars because the lemon flavor tasted like it came from the bottle kind). We'd definitely visit again, next time we're in town.

The food itself is good but the owner and waiters will try to rip you off with the tip. The will try to charge you a minimum of 18-25 % for to go orders or for parties of two. If you give them less they will confront you to give more.. I don’t like to be forced to anything.

Service was good. I had mariscos con arroz was really good but didn't have enough shrimp or clams. The ceviche de pescado was mediocre. Everything else was really good though. I didn't give a four or five stars due to I spent $300 and I wasn't really totally satisfied in a group of eights. I have better experience at other Peruvian restaurants like Cevishiro Peruvian & Sushi Restaurant.
I have been coming to this place for ten years, at least once a year , and I have never been disappointed. Despite the fact that the place is small and somewhat noisy, it is always a happy moment. The staff is friendly, economic prizes, portions are large, juices are delicious, excellent foo; Lomo saltado is my favorite and shrimp anticuchos. They have the best “Cuatro leches” in Miami.
Wowww food here was amazing, I’m always loving to visit new Peruvians places. Food is always good, the quantities are always really good, and if you are hungry and looking for a good place to eat it all. This is the go-to place be. Fries calamari was my favorite and plus all the Lomo Saltado there is no failure on these two!! Finish with a Tres Leches cake and you’ll be the happiest.
The food was very good. I had the saltado de mariscos and it was excellent and very large portions. The food was very authentic Peruvian. Also the staff is very attentive. My only complaint is that the only hot tea they had was Liptons with all the choices I would have thought they would have been able to offer at least a Manzanilla. Sorry I forgot to take pics of the food.
I left Miami few years ago and I just to live by this place. This was my go to for lunch alone or with friends! And sincerely the food is beyond amazing! I went back today for a good fish ceviche and tasted like heaven !! All dishes are amazing ! But the ceviche is just the best in Miami.

This is a nice place to eat, prices are a little high but food is tasty. This place feels crowded, there is no room to stand up and move. Quick eat and leave kind of place, you could get the same food for a better price somewhere else. But food was good thats why I give it a 4 stars.

I purchased to go due to being on shift, but the grilled seafood looks good. They also have fried fish and seafood. They sell noddle and meat entrees There are a number of juice drinks that look nice in the carafe. The prices were very good too. Had a bit of a wait for the grilled mariscos, but will call in an order next time. I do recommend
We placed an order of $600+ and they didn't help me to take the food to my car. I parked one block away and to go back and forth at least 5 times. They have poor customer service. and lack of courtesy

Overall a great Peruvian restaurant with various of selections. My favorite is the green pasta. Not sure what adds the green color, but it tastes unique and I do like it. However, within the same dish, the steak is dry and not quite tasteful. There is a parking lot in the back for people who are not familiar with this area.

Excellent food, I love this place. Service is also very good. Dishes are big, so be careful with some of them can eat two. I have choclo (corn) with musarela and yuca grits. Delicious. The "causa" is huge, and most of the entrees are. Parking can be tricky even when the place have its own spaces.

Servers, you don’t need to round out the tip section on the receipt suggesting about how much we should leave. It’s passive aggressive and can ruin experiences. We still típ because we enjoy the food and service but I find unpleasant asking for tips in that way

Unnecessarily big portion and very poor quality. Why don’t this place get it? It’s better to make a normal portion and put more efforts towards quality. Everything was very boring and lacked flavors, this is not Peruvian good, but a bad parody.
I have been in the area and did not know I had such a gem of a place in walking distance. WHAT SERVICE! The restaurant eating-in is casual and has a very family feel to it. We had a couple servers attend to us to make sure we had everything
Peru in Miami, Florida, presents a fantastic dinner experience. The restaurant captures the essence of Peruvian cuisine with a modern touch, offering a diverse menu featuring authentic flavors and beautifully presented dishes. The ambiance
We went there for some pick up, and they had our food ready very fast, so that's a plus. Just call ahead. we had the yellow rice with shrimps, the Lomo saltado, and the rice with mariscos all tasted good. The papa a la huancaina was
Service is good ,polite knowledgeable staff but Most of the food isn’t fresh , like for ceviche ,they use frozen seafood . The vegetables also frozen . Btw I have never seen so expensive soups , $21 soup with frozen ingredients??
Fish cebiche was very lousy. Not good. Lomo saltado - the meat wasn’t tender, the onions weren’t crispy, the tomatoes were harsh and the fries were saggy. Not good. Awesome service tho. The waiters are very gentile.
After my last visit I don't see myself returning my order was wrong and the young blond woman seemed lost. I ordered the fried red snapper, Once it came out it was dry and over cooked. And parking is a Nightmeer.

Not the best peruvian food I've eaten. Decent, but nothing out of this world. I've never eaten beef heart, tried it here and their marinade is so good it takes like a steak, but still ehhh.
Food is amazing service depends on witch waiter serve you some of them very professional but others horrible. Been here like 10 times bu tonight servant is (blond hair man) is not good.
Food was good. Their meals are HUGE, so keep that in mind when you order. Usually a meal is for 2 or 3 people. Service is so so and they don't let you about how big their meals are.
What a devine taste it is! When we arrived, there was one table of people, & when we left all tables were full! We know why! Try this Peruvian cuisine! Great service & prices.

Warning: Come hungry Food is excellent, fresh, and very flavorful. Real taste of Perú. Portions are gigantic, bring friends and share entrees.
For someone that been in peru this place is good, the plates are big enough for two people, the stuff is friendly. Highly recommended
This is probably my favorite Peruvian restaurant! My go-to's are: lomo saltado, ceviche de pescado medio picante, and chilcano.
