From the moment I made the first phone call, I knew I had found a place that truly cared about animals and their well-being. The receptionist who answered the phone was compassionate and understanding. She listened attentively as I explained the urgency of the situation and assured me that they would do everything possible to help. Her professionalism and empathy immediately put me at ease during a stressful time. Upon arriving at the clinic, Meow Meow was swiftly taken into triage. The triage nurse was phenomenal. She was gentle, patient, and thorough while assessing Meow Meow's condition. It was clear that she had a wealth of knowledge and experience in handling emergency cases. She communicated effectively with me, keeping me informed about each step of the process. Dr. Malia Goodell, the attending veterinarian, was an absolute gem. Her expertise and genuine concern for Meow Meow's well-being were evident from the start. She took the time to explain the diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes in a way that was easy to understand. Dr. Goodell's compassion for animals shone through her interactions, and I felt confident that Meow Meow was in the best possible hands. Throughout Meow Meow's stay at Sadie's Veterinary Urgent Care, the entire staff displayed a level of professionalism and dedication that exceeded my expectations. They worked seamlessly as a team, ensuring that Meow Meow received the highest standard of care. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, which further instilled confidence in their ability to handle emergencies. TLDR: great prices, fast service, caring staff. All ~$350 including meds urinalysis and exam. Thorough explanations, calmed my and my cats nerves, never treated like I was dumb for being so concerned. Wow. These wonderful people are truly putting in the work. My cat, Kiyoshi, was having issues in the litter box and I was extremely worried after finding out how fast UTI’s in male cats can progress. I left a slightly frantic message relaying his symptoms and got a call back as soon as they opened the next day. They were busy but still found time to get us in. They were so sweet and let me go back with him, they loved on him and checked him out before speaking to me in such a calm manner. When it was determined he was okay, they needed to tend to more urgent patients first but not before taking the time to calm my nerves and explain what was going on with lil Mans. They described the process and pricing and really made my heart stop palpitating haha. Answered any and all questions I had and showed me how to administer his new medications. Everything was so reasonably priced and fast despite being asked to wait. It was so surprising. I have never been treated this well at a vets office and it was so good that even Yosh was just chilling despite his discomfort. I really recommend Sadie’s services. ****For anyone worried about their cat and a UTI, in total I paid ~$350. I was expecting an astronomical amount but that included the exam ($115), urinalysis ($80), and medications ($29,$44,$63(all about a weeks worth of meds)) AND you can get approved for programs to help you make payments if needed. Picture included is after our visit, normally Yoshi gets super upset after going in his crate but they made even that such a smooth transition. We got homw and he was just fine! I hope if you’re reading this your pets are happy and healthy, but if they need a vet, I recommend Sadie’s!

I recently had an incredibly positive experience at Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care (SVUC), and I am eager to express my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Dr. Ariel Grubb and nurse Grace. My dog Oscar had been suffering from a persistent ear infection for over a month, despite multiple visits to other vet clinics. The situation had escalated to the point where Oscar's discomfort was keeping both of us up at night. After extensive research, I came across SVUC and decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the clinic's cleanliness and its convenient location. The atmosphere immediately put me at ease. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, and nurse Grace exhibited incredible patience and care when attending to Oscar. Upon meeting Dr. Ariel Grubb, it was evident that both she and nurse Grace were dedicated professionals who genuinely cared about their patients. Oscar quickly established trust with them within minutes of our arrival. The immediate and effective treatment they provided, coupled with a well-thought-out two-week care plan, demonstrated their commitment to Oscar's well-being. I also appreciated the fair pricing at SVUC, especially when compared to other vet clinics. The positive results were evident within days, and Oscar has been noticeably better since our visit three days ago. Dr. Ariel's thoughtful follow-up today further underscored the clinic's commitment to comprehensive care. In summary, Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care has proven to be the best vet clinic I have visited thus far. I am genuinely thankful for the exceptional care provided by Dr. Ariel Grubb and nurse Grace. My experience at SVUC has left me confident in the well-being of my furry friend and grateful for the compassionate and professional team at this clinic. TYVM~~

Like many others I found my way to Sadie as a result of my regular vet not having any available appoints for days. My Weim, Dozer, was attacked by another dog and needed attention. While I couldn't get a same day appt at Sadie, or anywhere else within a reasonable distance, the staff explained the process they use for next day appts which was a breath of fresh air. I won't go into the details but it's just a process that makes sense. From the moment we arrived it felt that the Sadie team was really a team. Everyone from the receptionists onward made things seamless and they focused on the customer/patient. Dozer hates vet visits and the way that the vet and tech involved myself and my spouse in his exam was outstanding. He still growled and snarled but it was by far the best experience he's ever had with a visit to the vet. The vet recommended a treatment plan that certainly wasn't the most expensive but she made it clear that there still could be other complications which I really appreciated and we discussed what we would do if we didn't see Dozer's condition improve. I liked her approach of starting with what she believed Dozer's treatment plan needed to be and explain the observations from the exam that supported/rationalized that plan. I hope they don't change a thing because I thought this was the best vetrinary experience and team I've ever worked with. Since I've shared everything I liked, I'll share one thing that I could see being a problem for some. The parking could be better and depending on the time of day and day of the week, you might have to do some walking but not your pet as there is an urgent drop-off location right at the front door.

I have had some extremely poor experiences with other vets so I was reluctant to take my cat into the vet. She was having some tummy issues and I was afraid she may have gotten something from the new food we switched her to. I decided to take her in anyway just to make sure she was okay. This vet office was incredible and really did care about my cat. They did not make me feel judged for bringing her in nor did they make me feel judged for being mindful of my money situation. They were extremely clear about pricing before doing anything and were clear about expectations. They only recommended what was absolutely necessary rather than just giving my cat a ton of medication. Every other vet I’ve been to made me feel judged for my money situation as well as made me feel like I was being dramatic. This vet was exactly the opposite. I’m currently a college student so I don’t always have endless amounts of money to spend. Both myself and my cat felt very comfortable with everyone involved in her care and we didn’t feel any pressure to do treatments that were not necessary. On top of all of this, their office is extremely clean and obviously being well taken care of. I am so grateful that my cat came out healthy and has not shown any symptoms of being sick since I took her home. I cannot thank everyone here enough for fitting us into their busy schedule and giving me peace of mind. Pets are family and this vet truly treats them like such. We both hope we never have to go to urgent care again but if the need ever arises, I know exactly where to go.

Sadie has provided the best pet support I have ever experienced. I was new to the Portland area, and when my cat became ill and was having issues eating, drinking, and using the litter box, I started calling local vets from Google looking for assistance. I was referred to Sadie for urgent care by multiple vets, and I am so grateful. Sadie was able to book me a same day appointment, and within a few hours I had lab tests running with same day results as well. The staff was extremely friendly to me and my cat, and Dr Galbreath and her technicians were very knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. Dr Galbreath knew how important my cat was to me, and took the time on her day off to email me my test results and explain my situation with a lengthy detailed write up. One thing that has always been important to me when finding a vet for my animal is that the vet staff seems invested in my cat as an animal, not just a random patient. From the moment I walked in the door, I could tell they really do care about animals. When the staff talks about how cute my cat is and they want to pet her and hold her it makes me feel confident that they actually care about my animal and they want the best for her. I could not recommend Sadie enough. Thank you for saving my cat, and helping us make the lifestyle changes necessary to make her as happy and healthy as she can be.

Our dog’s ear polyp burst + he had an ear infection - Sadie Urgent Care was perfect for this! We couldn’t wait for our vet to open up but it wasn’t quite Dove Lewis level. Sadie’s vets were able to take us day of and were super sweet with our very rambunctious puppy. He absolutely hates having his ears messed with and they were just so gentle with him. He hid under a chair and it said a lot that they took their time coaxing him out and loving on him instead of just wrangling him which would have been easy to do! Have definitely seen vets with the attitude of “we just need to get this done and move on” and that’s not happening here. The meds they gave us for his ear infection worked WAY better than what his usual vet gave us (bacteria vs. yeast and all that good stuff) and ended up clearing his polyp as well. What went from a wart the size of the tip of a finger is now a pinhead. Everyone who works here - front desk staff, techs, vets - are all lovely! We never felt rushed and they cared so much for our Gio. They honestly gave us more info and better care than our regular vet. We are so glad y’all are in the area! One of those things where we *hope* we don’t have to stop by, but are so grateful you’re here. Thank you!!

I cannot recommend Sadie enough for urgent care needs. I called with concerns for my cat being lethargic and they were able to take her in within the hour. The support staff was wonderful and Dr. Galbreath was thorough, informative and transparent about what tests she wanted to run and the best way to spend my funds. My cat was dropped off and I received updates often from Dr. Galbreath. I used to work as a vet assistant for another practice and urgent care patients would stay there all day so I was pleasantly surprised that she was there for only about 4 hours. The pricing compared to the other clinic was very reasonable as well, about $450 cheaper for the same tests and medications. I warned them that my cat can be spicy and may have to be sedated and they told me she did great and sedation was not necessary, which tells me they were so calm and gentle with her. My cat is feeling great now and Dr. Galbreath even called to follow up the next day to make sure. I loved my experience here and will be coming back if my pets ever need urgent care again.

I've had to bring my dog here on several occasions. The care was fantastic and more affordable than any ER, which was great. However a recent interaction has soured my impression of Sadie Urgent Care. A friend's dog needed to be seen asap and I was willing to help with up to $500 in funds. I was told, however, that they would not be able to see the dog as payment for all services is required at the visit. While I totally understand that all services must be paid for during the visit, I have never encountered a vet that can't work within a customer's budget. I don't mean adjust their prices, I mean do the exam, see what the animal needs vs what funds are available, and go from there. Overall, Sadie will take good care of your animals, assuming you are wealthy and have no limit to the amount of money you can spend... if you have any kind of budgetary limitations, they won't see your pet. I'm surprised they're able to keep patients coming in considering the vast majority of people cannot spend an unlimited amount of money at the vet.

I can't say enough good about this clinic. As someone who worked in the veterinary industry, I know it's a tough one on the best days, I can't imagine working urgent care. Yet despite the inevitable stress of the job, every single person I interacted with at Sadie handled me with kindness, care, and grace. From scheduling to discharge, my experience at the clinic is the finest I've ever had. Dr. Wycoff is an incredible physician. She was spectacularly thorough in her history taking and examination of my dog. The results of my dog's diagnostics were not good, and I was scared, a fact I'm certain Dr. Wycoff picked up on. She was gentle with me and delivered the severity of the situation without ever making me feel hopeless. She walked me through everything step by step and I walked out the door feeling the support of her and her wonderful team. I am not currently certain of the future of my dog's health, but I am certain that Sadie Vet is an absolute godsend to the city of Portland and every pet owner among it.

I know that this is a very hard decision. But when your pet is staring at you and his eyes are pleading with you to help him, then it's time. Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care. They Were referred to us. What an Amazing Staff. The Doctor was so Compassionate . She examined him and was up front and honest with what she had suggested. I held him in zmy arms during the the injections. I told him just how much I loved him. I cried and cried. The Doctor stayed in the room with me for a short time and said to me that I could stay as long as I needed to. The cost was $400.00 but because we wanted him cremated the cost was $500 Even tho it's one of the hardest decisions to make, you want a Vet that truly cares about your pet and you as well. Also one who will leave you with a amazing impression that one wont forget in a very positive way. I would definitely recommend this clinic. Wherever you decide to go good luck and just know that you are doing what is best for your pet.

This establishment is great. We've had to take our cat here two times. The first time happened when I was wrapping presents. I didn't think that he ate much of the ribbon, but decided to call anyways. They highly suggested that I come in. I'm glad they recommended the idea. They induced vomiting and it turned out he ate a large amount of ribbon. Without going in, he could've had the ribbon tie up his intestines. It was a bit costly, which I can understand, but our cat was back to normal within a couple of hours. Unfortunately, I didn't learn from my first visit and left a box with a large ribbon on the shelf. This ribbon was much larger than the last one. I couldn't remember if I already had taken it off or not, but after coming here for a 2nd time, it turns out he did eat. Great staff and doctors, I hope I don't have to come in again, but highly recommend them to those with sickly animals or ones that keep eating ribbon.

Hands down, the best urgent care pet experience ever! Everyone My cat Jammer and I met tonight, from Hailey at the front desk, to our vet tech Mayranni and Dr. Paige Livingston were all attentive, calm, caring and provided exceptional and efficient service at the end of a very long, stressful week. Just walking in the door felt like a peaceful retreat from the busy-ness of the frantic pre-holiday craziness. Jammer was so relaxed he even tried napping on the scale while we waited to be seen (which was not very long at all)! All estimates were very reasonable and I never felt rushed to make a decision. You have all made this Christmas a little bit brighter with your care of my sweet old boy. Thank you SO much for everything! I will be referring all local friends and family your way. I hope Sadie. We had to, unfortunately, let our beloved dog of 12 years go suddenly to complications of a sarcoma she had. We were referred here from our usual vet. They are typically appointment only, which we didn’t know as we rushed our dog to Sadie. Thankfully the kind front desk staff took the time to check with their providers and thankfully they were able to squeeze us in. We knew that our options were not great and after much discussion with the provider, we opted to let our Phoebe go. We were not rushed and told that we could have as much time as we needed. The provider was kind, caring and did her best to comfort us in tragic time. She walked us through what to expect and what our options are for aftercare. We decided to cremate Phoebe. I can’t thank the staff at Sadie enough for helping us through this difficult time and allowing us the time we needed with our girl.

No one ever wants to take their pet to urgent care. I am beyond thankful to all the vets, technicians, and employees of Sadie. They helped with a thorough diagnosis of my cat’s advanced cancer and were compassionate that I wanted “comfort care only.” They helped make sure pain meds were refilled and checked in. It was only a few weeks and it was time to say good-bye. That is never an easy job, and I cannot express how well they handled it for myself and my cat. They don’t “tell” you what to do. They speak quietly and make sure the human and animal are served with the utmost care. In your time of pet crisis, you should go to them. Also their prices are not much more than you would pay at your own vet’s office. You simply call, make an appt, and come in. Simple process at a difficult time. Thank you Sadie. You’re forever in my heart.

Dr. Galbreath was so great to us and our cat. It was a completely unknown situation, our cat's health suddenly declined and has a heart condition that we assumed was related. She quickly identified that it was something else and kept us updated with their findings the entire time. I've had vet experiences where they never figure out what is wrong, but Dr. Galbreath was so knowledgeable and thorough. She was upfront about the seriousness of the situation without sugar coating it but was empathetic at the same time. She was able to get us transferred to an ER hospital which made dealing with the intake at the hospital a lot easier. They are transparent about the costs. Make sure to call early to get scheduled for a same day appointment. We really appreciate Dr. Galbreath and the Sadie staff.

I took my sick pup in because my vet was booked for the weekend. Even though Sadie was fully booked, they were able to squeeze us in that day. I was expecting to wait a long time but was in and out within 1.5 hours. The staff from the front desk team, to the nurses, to the vets were exceptional. Professional, compassionate, gentle with my dog, and efficient. It is a well run establishment that is clean and welcoming. They were thorough in discharge, and when I called with follow up concerns they attended to me immediately. They called the next day to make sure my dog had gotten better over night and already had my lab results ready. I have been to other urgent and emergency animal care facilities and this is far and beyond the best care I have received. Will return here if ever needed.

I would rate this as probably the best experience I have had at a vet ever. I took my senior kitty in when he was having trouble breathing and my regular vet wasn't able to get him in for several days. They were super transparent about their approach, how much time everything would take and the cost. I know that being a vet is a really tough job emotionally and they were so empathetic especially when I shared that my other senior cat was diagnosed with the same terminal condition just a week prior. I wasn't necessarily expecting that, but it was so appreciated in the moment. The follow-up to get meds and with my regular vet was also fantastic. Sadie fills a great niche in the Portland vet landscape between the total emergency care facilities and what a standard vet can offer.

I had the best experience at Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care! Not only did they return my call to help me schedule last minute WHEN THEY WERE CLOSED (big thank you to Kristen!) but they offered such kind and expectional care! My cat is sweet but normally a bundle of nerves at the vets and today she was so at ease with both the vet assistant (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name) as well as with Dr. Wycroff! Dr. Wycroff is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional and she was so so great with my cat! I could not recommend this place enough along with all of its staff and I wish they were a GP! Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend to a friend, family, or even a stranger on the internet reading this review! Thanks to everyone at Sadie Vet Urgent Care!

I almost lost hope that anyone could get us in … and then this amazing place of doggy angels opened their doors to us !! Doctor Cindy Galbreath did a very thorough exam and then showed us why and where she thought our dog had a herniated disc . I mean, this doctor is LEGIT ! I have had so many vets who just never know … Im guessing she graduated at the top of her class cuz yeah she knows what she’s doing . She also doesn’t suggest tons of tests or X-rays . This was incredibly reasonable !! I even asked about our older dog and she told me her guess as to what it sounds like ( I’m totally bringing her in for treatment because no one has been helpful ). Also , the vet tech and front office were all rad and kind ! Oh, and the wait was non existent .

Took my new puppy in for a check up today and an inspection for worms as well. I’m pretty disappointed because they did not check him for any other health related stuff as he’s only eight weeks old. They gave me deworming/Giardia medication, but completely ignored anything else that he may possibly have as far as health of a puppy goes.basically Walked out with a $400 bill Just for deworming medication smh. They also had a ton of information wrong, told me deworming medication doesn’t cause vomiting or diarrhea at all. What a bottle clearly says vomiting and diarrhea and everything online says possible vomiting, diarrhea.. the doctor didn’t know much of anything… I won’t be going back

I am very happy with the care I and my cat received at Sadie. While ultimately euthanasia was the best option, the doctor took the time to explain to me my cat's situation, and our treatment options. I was allowed time to ask questions and make a decision. I was offered choices around the euthanasia process, which was carried out with great gentleness toward both me and my cat. I also appreciate how staff incorporated discussion of fees and fee payment. Fees were in line with what similar services would have cost at our primary vet. From the front desk, to clinical support staff, to doctors, Sadie made the best of a terrible situation for me and my cat.

Had to bring my pup in after a couple days of vomiting and nausea, when he began refusing food. We were worried about several potential causes/contributing factors. The staff here is wonderful, very knowledgeable and kind. They communicate effectively and thoroughly, and made sure Archie was respected and as comfortable as possible in a stressful environment. As someone who works in vet med, I’ve heard a multitude of varying experiences at different U/C and ER places, and am so glad Sadie Vet lived up to and exceeded my expectations. Dr. Galbreath and Kyla deserve all the praise (as well as the rest of the team for everything they do). Thank you all❤️

We received absolutely splendid care! We called this morning because our dog couldn’t get up. Thankfully, they had an available appointment within an hour. A very kind technician, Scott, came out to get our very heavy Labrador from the car and carried him in. Dr. Wycoff was lovely! She talked through all the possibilities and was so gentle with our dog. He was doing better when we got there so we decided on conservative treatment for now. Dr Wycoff truly cared and asked us to update her if anything changed. Everyone was friendly, kind, and compassionate. I highly recommend Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care. Thank you for serving the community!

My dog had salmon poisoning. I had no idea what it was. My dog had not eaten in over a week. I was beginning to get really worried. Dr Goodell looked my pooch over and asked me some questions. She then recommend a course of action that included antibiotics and something to stimulate my dogs appetite. She was sure it was salmon poisoning. She was right! I was very impressed by everyone at this clinic. The clinic itself is beautiful and inviting. It’s not cheap but it’s much more affordable than other emergency vet clinics in town.I highly recommend this place if you have a sick pet. I’m soooo happy my adventure partner is healthy again!

My kid is a 13 year old American Eskimo mix who has been with me almost his entire life. He got an infection in his mouth, and while waiting for surgery at our regular vet, it took a turn and he acquired a fever. The humans at Sadie were able to see me promptly, but importantly to me - did not make me feel stupid, or like my emergency wasn't real (like so many ER vets tend to do). They took time and care with Rudy, and he felt as comfortable I could hope - he's very anxious at vets and the frantic nature of some only makes it worse! Everyone there was lovely, and it is a beautiful facility. They even checked in on us a few days later!

I am so grateful for this business! I took my dog in because I accidentally nipped his skin during an at home grooming and was absolutely in shock. My usual veterinarian office suggested this location and I’m so glad for the referral. They were able to see him within the hour and calmed me down reassuring me that the cut was superficial and that staples would be good enough to heal the skin. Everything was explained to me and staff were all wonderful people. Dr Galbreth was so gentle with him and I’m just beyond thankful!!! I thought the exam fee and price of supplies was also very reasonable. Extra love for women owned businesses!!

This is an excellent addition to the Montavilla neighborhood, with professional, expedient and caring veterinary care. I had a vet emergency that led to my dog needing emergency surgery, and they were professional and got me in within 45 minutes of calling for an appointment. The vet, Dr G, provided an excellent plan of care, and was upfront about risks/benefits/alternatives/costs for the plan of care. She was also very diligent and caring, calling me with emergent results even after the clinic closed, and calling me first thing in the morning for additional follow up and helping to coordinate care.

The Vet (I cannot remember her name and the photos on the website didn't refresh my memory---I want to say her last name was Grubb? Maybe a new vet?) and V.A. Thea were WONDERFUL to deal with while at Sadie. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to my 13 yr old Dachshund, and they couldn't be more compassionate and caring people. While I just couldn't be there while they put him to rest (what a mess I would be), they allowed me as much time as I needed to say goodbye to him. When I left, I knew he was in good, caring hands, and I trusted he left this world knowing he was going to a better place.

OUTSTANDING service! I literally cannot say enough good things about our experience with our dog getting the urgent care he needed over the weekend. They were accommodating, friendly, caring, professional, and efficient. I was so impressed with the level of care from the office staff, the vet techs, and the vet. So amazing! And a huge shoutout to Kyla who went above and beyond to make sure our dog was taken care of when we had an unexpected small problem! THANK YOU to Sadie Vet for your amazing service. So thankful we know about you but really hoping we won't need your services again. Lol

Totally understand why this business has so many five star ratings. All of the staff members were so nice and helpful, and we really loved having our kitty seen by Scott and Dr. Galbreath. I could tell that they both actually cared about my kitty. Pricing felt very reasonable. We got a lot more testing done than our last visit to another clinic, and the price at Sadie was actually slightly cheaper! They also offered to give us a quote for treatment before they moved forward and before we even asked for pricing info. Yay! Appreciate this clinic and wish they could be my cat's primary vet.

Every step of my visit here was really, really pleasant. Sadie has such a kind and caring staff and I felt I was being respected and kept in the loop every step of the way during my emergency visit with my senior kitty. Doctor Wycoff made me feel at ease and in good hands during a time that was scary and uncomfortable. I felt all prices were fair and that they were very transparent with me about what was and wasnt necessary for my cats care and had his wellbeing in their best interest (as all vets should!). Would recommend Sadie to anyone needing compassionate urgent pet care.

My poor kitty was in a presumed cat fight and had a nasty gash on his hind leg. He was limping pretty bad and in a lot of pain. I was worried about him but concerned about the cost after my regular vet said it would be anywhere from $500-1k. The moment we arrived we were out at ease. Dr Wycoff and her staff were so kind and gentle with Arrow. He gets stressed at the vet and they handled everything so well. They didn’t insist on expensive and unnecessary procedures like other vets we’ve been to. Arrow is doing much better now due to the awesome staff at Sadie. Thank you!!

The team at Sadie are amazing and quickly feel like part of the family! They love and cherish your pet like it’s their own. Dr. Wycoff was there for us when our dog Niko was diagnosed with cancer, supported us through his treatment, and when the end came, tended to him in a way we’ll never forget. Those last few moments are some of the most painful and Dr. Wycoff knew just what to say, what to do, and when to do it. We absolutely recommend Sadie Veterinary Urgent Care and will be back when we finally do adopt another dog, which is only a matter of time.

The staff at Sadie were professional, thorough, and compassionate. My newly adopted kitten had pretty intense gastrointestinal distress and wasn't keeping down the little food she ate. My vet's office recommended I take her in to Sadie for prompt care. We had an appointment within two hours. The intake process was efficient, and the staff were patient with my very squirmy kitten. I so appreciated their transparency with treatment recommendations and cost. My cat is doing much better now. Would definitely recommend!

My 20 lb cat was unable to go pee. Within 3 hours of calling, they had him taken in and given him a catheter so he didn't explode. They made transitioning him to the next facility (he needed overnight care) very easy. Sure the costs were brutal ($1500 for Sadie and then another $1k for the 2 night stay in Tualatin), but the staff were more than excellent and the care provided was top notch. I would 100% return to this place if I ever have another urgent pet care need.

First time at Sadie, and I agree with the other reviews that it's unlike other vet experiences .. everything is calm, smoothly run and professional, all wrapped up in kindness. Our puppy was having digestive troubles, Thea did our intake and set the caring tone. Dr Wycoff has an assured presence, really listens well, and 'listened' to the little dog too, with a thorough exam and so much care. Really impressed, what a great resource for Portlanders with pets.

Dr. Malia Goodell is a wonderful vet. From start to finish, the communication was clear, and it felt like honest care. The front desk is up front about the base examination fee ($125), which I appreciated, and they automatically give you an itemized invoice at the end of your visit! They only offer same day appointments, which is great because you don't have to wait weeks or months to get your pet seen for medical care. Loved it! Would definitely come back.

This was our first visit, and a very sad day as I was sending my SUPER elderly cat (18-19ish) over the rainbow bridge. I cannot say enough good things. We didn’t wait long, Dr. Galbreath was SO GENTLE and I was so grateful she only poked him once to hit the vein. The girl at the front desk (one wearing a mask) that helped check us out was also very sweet and patient as I was indecisive on cremation. Awesome place. Thank you very much.

Amazing place! Very clean, very friendly!! I loved the staff and our Dr is such an angel!! I feel so lucky to have been able to have this experience with these people. I would recommend them for your urgent pet needs all day every day no matter the cost. Which they are up front with everyone about in the most non-judgmental way I've ever seen or experienced. I simply cannot say enough about the wonderful experience I had here!!

Wonderful experience at this new clinic. The staff helped us right away, the space was clean and bright and unlike any other vet office. The doctors took time to explain everything and provide options. I didn’t feel rushed at all and left feeling educated and comfortable with the time and money spent. Hopefully I don’t have to use an urgent vet often, but if/ when I do, I will be bringing my pets here.

Sady is a god send. Our vet could not get us in for a while and recommended we go here to address a rapid onset growth on our dogs face. The staff was so nice. My dog hates the vet, and can be a challenge. They were patient and thorough. I very much appareciated everyone’s care. Scheduling in advance meant our wait time was minimal. I had to put my cat down unexpectedly. Sadie Veterinary urgent care was so kind and helpful. They care about you and your pet. They did not rush me at all with the time I had left with my cat and were very genuine people. Going through putting an animal down you want good care like this vet. They are there for you and whatever you need to help you in such a hard time

Can’t say enough about the great staff at Sadie. They were able to get our pup in quickly after he was attacked by another dog, and he was in and out with stitches in less than 2 hours. Prices are extremely reasonable for an emergency vet. All of the staff were extremely friendly and kind during a stressful time for us. Thank you for taking such good care of Bodie!!

Sadie is a great addition to Portland pet care options. Dr. Wycoff was extremely attentive to our 7 year old Boxer dog, Seamus, providing incredible care and diligent correspondence with us on his health status, and personally following up days later - giving us confidence she cares. We will definitely be returning to Sadie for care of both our dogs in the future.

You don't realize how fragile life is until you're facing an emergency after hours with your best buddy. Our Ozzy was injured badly in a freak accident at the dog park at 8 pm on a Friday. Chain link fence won. Thank you Cindy and all the crew! Tears of JOY! You fill a vacuum that is badly needed, so well done, and with care and empathy. 10/10 Would DEF recommend.

We had an emergency with my dogs nails breaking, Dr. Wycoff and the entire staff were wonderful. So attentive, caring, all while working diligently to get Mary taken care of. While the cost is higher than a typical clinic, it’s still affordable for an urgent care and I would much rather take my pup here in the case of needing urgent care. Thank you, Sadie staff.

First review! Just had a great experience at Sadie Vet. My dog needed stitches this morning and they got us in more or less immediately, and were able to have her patched up and out in about an hour. The space is new and clean and everyone there was super friendly. And the price was super reasonable. Highly recommend for anyone needing veterinary urgent care!

Wow I can not say enough good things about this place. The tech, reception, and vet all went above and beyond to help me and my dog in our time of need. They were all so amazing, caring, and sweet even tho it was a stinky job and were very fast/efficient. I could not recommend them more. If they weren’t an urgent care they would be my new vets office.

Our dog almost drowned on New Year's day. Our local 24h emergency pet hospital was unfortunately closed due to staffing issues. Luckily, Sadie urgent care was open and was able to see us straight away. Dr. Wycoff and staff took fantastic care of the little guy. Great group and great facility. Based on my experience they deserve their 5 star reviews.

I was referred to Sadie by my regular vet when I told them of an urgent visit needed for my cat. I called Sadie and was able to bring her in within the hour. The staff are all friendly and were very sweet with my cat. They were also super informative and thoroughly answered all questions I had. It's great to have Sadie in the neighborhood!

The 5 stars are well-deserved. The hospital itself was absolutely beautiful and was very warm and inviting. The staff were all very friendly and informative and were able to get my pet in same day. I’m so grateful that Sadie is an option for my pets and if I am ever in need of urgent care, I’ll be giving them a call!

The team at Sadie was efficient but thorough, and paid very close attention to our cat’s prior medical history and pre-existing conditions to make sure to give her the safest treatment (she has a lot of medical issues that make things complicated). We’ll definitely go here for her urgent medical needs in the future!

I emailed them a picture of my dog's swollen ankle and they called me within seconds after sending it. I'm a first time dog owner and they walked me through the steps of how to take care of it and what is probably taking place with his ankle. It's awesome the neighborhood has this great local vet office helping out

Thankful. Our old lab wasn't feeling well and our regular Vet was closed. Sadie was referred to us and we were very well care for. From reception on the phone and in-person to the vet tech to the vet everyone was kind, listened and took good care of us and our dog. I definitely recommend them.

They were fantastic from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was so great and kind. They took care of our sick doggo same day and having gone to several urgent cares with dogs in the past, I felt like their pricing was better than expected and weren’t inflated. Would highly recommend.

My pet received the absolute best care ever here. When pets are sick it's very stressful for us humans. These people were attentive, kind, professional. Followed up twice the next day. Went over lab results. Just were very pleasant in such a stressful time. Definitely highly recommend.

I took my dog here in a complete panic and the staff managed to take care of me, as well as my dog! Everyone we came in contact with, gave me the impression that my dogs wellbeing was top priority, not my $$. Definitely left with the confidence that my dog would be OK.

They got us an appointment same day, were very accommodating to my anxious dog, and got is out with antibiotics in a very reasonable amount of time. Prices were fair, the space is clean, and I'm very grateful for the service. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My dog had a deep bite wound and I was scared and stressed. Every employee was warm and friendly. Every option and expense was explained clearly. They treated my dog with such patience and thoughtfulness. I cant fault them.

What a great discovery….accessible, friendly, personal care when in need of urgent care for a beloved pet. In depth, thoughtful help which addressed the immediate pain relief needed, plus sent me home with a useful and well explained post visit plan.

I just had to put my dog Buckshot down right before thanksgiving. I believe it was Dr.Galbreath who assisted buckshot. As I was a mess on the floor, Dr.Galbreath was so patient and kind. Would recommend her and SVUC to anyone and everyone.

Brought my dog Juneau and had a great experience. We were treated with kindness and the treatment was prompt. All of the staff from the front desk, to the doctor's assistant, to Dr. Goodwell were really suburb. Can't recommend them enough.

Their last appointment of the day is at 8pm. We arrived at 8:15 without an appointment and they agreed to do a checkup to make sure my kitten was stable enough to take home and get a morning appointment or sick enough to keep overnight.

My Doberman Nilo was panting hard. I called Sadie's and they got me right in. His heart had given out and we had to put him down. I am very grateful to the staff for their compassion they showed me. Thank you! I highly recommend them.

I thought they were an emergency clinic, but instead an urgent care clinic with appointments only. Regardless, they took special care of our baby girl and sent us on our way extremely grateful for their help and kindness.

Had a great experience here. Vet and staff were really knowledgeable and nice. We got an appointment same day. Were great with my 16 year old cat. He is good as new now. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back.

They were able to get my sick kitty in same day, and treated her with such kindness and care. Answered all my questions and took extra steps to provide care. 100 percent will use this clinic again should I have a need.

In February I took my kitten in with an advanced ear infection. The wait was short, staff were amazing and the care transparent. I was able to be with my kitty during the exam which kept him calm while he was in pain.

We recently took our dog to Sadie Vet after a hiking injury. Everyone we dealt with at the clinic was wonderful. I hope we never need to go back but I know we’ll be in great hands if we do return. Highly recommended.
