I am a regular here, and although this spot has got so much going for it, the business would benefit from better staff-training and more management presence. Although the staff could sometimes be more warm and friendly, and exercise better general hospitality etiquette, I always come back for the coffee.

I love this cafe. It's my favourite in Obz. The coffee is always excellent and the food is good too. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is that dogs walk around the cafe unleashed and bark sometimes. I wish they had stricter rules about dogs because not all customers like it.

I enjoy heading to Saint James café as to work away from home. Their menu is really affordably compared to many Cape Town coffee shops. There’s always a buzz of activity, so if you’re looking for somewhere quiet, best steer clear. Good WiFi connectivity, cool staff, beautiful interior

Definitely a great spot in Obs! Not only one of the best places to work, chat or just to chill, but also with the best coffee in the area. Whether it's an Americano, an espresso or a latte, you won't be disappointed. I used to live in Cape

Nice Vibe inside, food is average. When we wanted to order they were out of croissants sadly but I ordered a Vegan Toastie which had sliced avocado and fried mushrooms on three sourdough rye slices which was enjoyable with lost of hot

As a local we are spoilt for choice, coffee and bagel is perfect at Saint James. However dont try at lunch time like my daughter and did. We arrive to find 2 4 seater tables occupied by one person each enjoying a coffe and wifi, so a meal

This is a nice place for a coffee meeting! I had a lovely milkshake and it was value for money. The waitstaff told me that the milkshake wasn’t going to be their best as they were having ice cream problems but I still really enjoyed the

I really liked the flavour of my Eggs Benedict but being able to slice the rye it is served on more easily would be appreciated. Coffee excellent. JuiceBox juices available. A casual spot, good for a small meeting or to do some work.

I keep seeing a few comments about staff not being friendly here and there. I honestly don't believe this to be true at all. I think if you understand the culture of the people who are serving you, you will truly understand that the

I love this place! Staff are friendly - coffee is always on point and all day breakfast is always a winner!! It can get a little busy over the weekends but the decor and comfy seating make the wait worth it

There is nothing better than a morning coffee at Saint James Cafe. The sandwiches are incredible and everyone is friendly. Sit in the window and watch Obs go by. More

Simple elegant cafe, busy in the morning. Open at 615, making it outstanding in Cape Town, not to mention the neighborhood. Croissant based breakfasts start at 8am.

Brilliant beats playing on the stereo while tapping my foot to the beats got my admin done and was ready to get on the go again after a great lunch break.

This has to be one of my favourite coffee spots in Observatory. They’re dog friendly, have decent WiFi, great coffee and the most chill, down to

Great atmosphere, love that it is dog friendly. Their breakfast was amazing, but the star of the show has to the dirty chai I had.

I'm quite fussy about my coffee but this café serves a great flat white. ☕ Lovely vibe with good food and very affordable prices too!

Got there just before they closed so didn't stay long but it was a very nice vibe and seems like they have good deals!

Here's my little piece of trivia: 1. I'm pedantic about my coffee, you ruin the experience and I'll never ever set
