Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, located in Ahmedabad, India, is a bustling and modern airport that offers a seamless travel experience to its passengers. I recently had the opportunity to travel through this airport and was thoroughly impressed with its facilities and services. The airport boasts of a well-designed and spacious terminal that is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities. The check-in process was efficient and quick, with helpful staff guiding passengers throughout the way. The security checks were also hassle-free, ensuring a smooth transition from the main terminal to the boarding gates. One of the highlights of this airport is its extensive range of dining and shopping options. From local street food to international cuisine, there is something to suit every palate. The duty-free section offers an impressive selection of products, including perfumes, chocolates, electronics, and souvenirs, making it a perfect place to shop for last-minute gifts. Another aspect that stood out to me was the cleanliness and hygiene maintained throughout the airport. The restrooms were spotless and well-stocked with essentials, and the overall cleanliness of the premises was commendable. This attention to cleanliness greatly enhances the overall experience for travelers. The airport also provides excellent connectivity and transportation options. It is well-connected to major cities in India and offers a wide range of domestic and international flights. The availability of taxis, car rentals, and public transport makes it convenient for passengers to reach their desired destinations. Furthermore, the airport staff exhibited professionalism and courteousness, ensuring that all passenger queries were promptly addressed. The information counters and help desks were readily available, making it easy to obtain any required assistance. In terms of infrastructure, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is well-equipped with adequate seating areas, charging points, and free Wi-Fi access. This is particularly beneficial for passengers who need to catch up on work or stay connected during their layovers. Overall, my experience at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport was extremely positive. The airport's efficient operations, excellent facilities, and friendly staff made it a pleasure to travel through. I would highly recommend this airport to anyone looking for a seamless and enjoyable travel experience.

This is not a great airport, with staff not great either. The reviews below that are 5 star are clearly of those who have not visited a properly functioning airport, or are biased local guides. We were due to board a flight and it was delayed indefinitely. After 50 minutes, we were told to go sit for 20 minutes. Upon returning in that time period, and also having watched the queue moving, we had our boarding passes scanned and the Indigo staff told us that the flight had left 10 minutes ago! The staff claimed that this was a 'silent airport', yet apparently announced our name over the PA twice. We did not hear this, and neither did another couple who walked up 3 minutes before us so luckily they got on. This contradiction was not well solved and we were escorted out without any valid explanation and had to readjust our holiday plans. There is no excuse for 2 people to 'miss' their flight when they are in clear view of the gate. The attendant claimed he went upstairs to look for us, when if he actually did he would've walked past us and seen us right at the front, which meant he knew what we looked like. Despite all this, the boarding screen still stated our flight was boarding even though the actual boarding was for another flight. We have visited this airport thrice in the space of 2 weeks, so my rating is not reflective of one bad experience. The airport is moderately clean, but definitely not as modern and progressive as other reviews below mine claim to be. As reflected above and in another flight we took, the operational structure is not up to par with what is required for a busy airport. If a flight is boarding, then the screen needs to clearly state it, especially if you will not announce it. Zonal boarding needs to be more strictly enforced and not announced just for the sake of it. If you will call passengers, then call then with a PA system that is clear and loud, or at least it should be if the aims of a 'silent airport' are to be met. Check in luggage scanning needs to have more space than self formed twisting lines which the locals will undoubtedly cut into. Overall, a disappointing experience that can do much better with the infrastructure provided. UPDATE: I contacted the airport who refused to claim responsibility for this, and forwarded me on to Indigo, who also refused to claim responsibility. Typical corporate response.

Airport looks nice from outside but very small inside. Everywhere construction is going on so..... First for international airport and you are letting people enter through 1 gate only result long queue outside the airport to enter. There are very few flight company that operates from here but still immigration people need to pull up their socks only 4 immigration desk what if there is a few big group come then you have to wait longer time for your immigration. Security is the same endless line only 3 scanner and you have to take out everything metal, wires and all electronics item out Terminal building is so small that you can walk to the other side of the gate within 2/3 minutes. There are only 2 lounges. One business class travellers and one regular like us. Duty free area is like 'it ends after 3 stores' why you call it duty free There are not many options for food and drinks. I think all together 10 shops where you can eat either sandwich, samosa or paties(puff) Decent coffee forget about that. There's a Nescafe counter near gate number 4 never ever drink coffee from that counter. Absolutely rubbish coffee and charging like Starbucks or costa coffee Most important how to come to the airport from the city centre if you are looking for cheaper option. There is an electric bus number 18D from city centre that comes to the airport and I think frequency is every 30 minutes. That bus with drop you in the parking of domestic airport and from there international T2 is just 5 minutes walking distance. To get to the bus just come out of the domestic terminal you would find the bus there and from international terminal you have to walk towards the left hand side when you come out or towards the gate 3, 4, 5... and cross the road and you will be there near the bus stop. Bus picture you can see below. I hope this information would be helpful

Adani's efforts in enhancing the airport's infrastructure have resulted in better connectivity and improved flight operations. The runway and taxiway upgrades have significantly increased the airport's capacity, leading to a reduction in flight congestion. Moreover, the focus on sustainability is commendable. The airport has incorporated eco-friendly initiatives, including energy-efficient systems and waste management practices, contributing positively to the environment. However, it's essential to ensure that these developments do not compromise safety standards and passenger experience. Continuous monitoring and periodic improvements will be crucial to maintain the high standards set by the redeveloped Ahmedabad airport. Overall, Adani's redevelopment of the Ahmedabad airport has undoubtedly elevated its status and provided travelers with a more enjoyable and efficient journey.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport in Ahmedabad has truly embraced modern technology with its hassle-free DIGI Yatra services for select flights. This innovative system streamlines the passenger experience by eliminating the need for traditional identity cards. Instead, it relies on cutting-edge face recognition technology, where one's face becomes their identity marker. The introduction of DIGI Yatra services has significantly improved the entry process for passengers, making it fast, convenient, and efficient. Moreover, the airport's commitment to embracing technology not only enhances security but also aligns with the changing needs and expectations of modern travelers. Very good clean, very busy airport The airport's infrastructure is truly impressive, reflecting a modern and elegant design that promotes efficiency. The facility's cleanliness and maintenance are top-notch, creating a pleasant ambiance. Navigating through the airport is effortless, thanks to clear signage and helpful staff members readily available to assist with any inquiries. Quite a boring airport for a big tier 2 city like Ahmedabad. It is smaller than you’d expect but I believe it’s being renovated. One would wish for many clothing, jewellery, bags, accessories stores along with coffee shops and other such stores. There is barely anything on the ground floor. Only the first floor has a little bit of life. However, I hope they bring in food outlets like McD, Domino’s, KFC, etc soon. The restrooms are fairly clean and so is the airport. It is a small airport so finding your way shouldn’t be an issue as there are barely 8 gates. They are organising the arrival and departure parking areas and the outside of the airport which is already coming out to looking fabulous. The airport area of Ahmedabad in itself is very beautiful and clean. Also, they provide wheelchairs like most airports for people with special needs or geriatric age group. Overall, a good airport that needs to get amped up.

Very bad service at this airport just now i am travelling and there are 3 to 4 food stalls are open but no one is bothered for the give service to the people’s who is standing in front of them I was stand 40 min but he not responded as we’ll. All washroom are under maintenance more that 1hr there no proper scheduling for the cleaning. There are no proper waiting area for long waiting flights as there are not chairs and they are very uncomfortable also, possible please put a recliner chairs for the same. Our PM sir representing this state and as well as this administration but someone send this sms to PM sir that people’s are very careless and casual in this airport. Request to Airport authority of India please look in to this matter and ask to develop customer satisfaction level.

Good to see that the airport is upgrading towards a new look. But I passed through some problems like no sign board available outside the airport for navigating or moving from one location to another. The LCD/LED screens are very small in which they show flight code, name and time. Infrastructure is upgrading so no comments on that currently, but there are very very few chairs available to sit for the public outside the airport. The security outside the airport in khali dress are also not understanding or cooperative for the public. They're behaving with us like we are on the country border. This is just what I faced about some of the problems and something that I liked about the airport.

Ahmedabad, India's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport wows with its cutting-edge facilities and smooth operations. The well-kept terminal provides a smooth travel experience. The friendly and polite staff make the whole experience better. To accommodate a wide range of preferences, the airport offers a number of food and retail alternatives. Furthermore, the hygienic conditions and safety protocols enhance the travellers' comfort level. On the other hand, adding more lounge areas could improve the traveller experience even more. All things considered, SVPI Airport is an excellent entry point that showcases India's advancements in aviation infrastructure.

I visited Ahemdabad airport in late July 2023. The airport looked good (appearance), however I had a very bad experience with the services. It was raining that day, and the airport got waterlogged. There was no shuttle bus arranged for terminal 1 to 2 transfers, at least for 2 hours. I had to walk from the knee-dip (water logged) pathway while carrying my luggage as I had to catch up on the connecting flight. Also, passenger entry to the terminal 2 was not managed well. They kept only 1 gate open, that led to loads of passengers standing in a long queue. Even the roof of the International terminal was leaking with water.

I recently arrived at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport after flying in from Dubai to attend an IPL match. The staff at the airport were friendly and helpful, which made my arrival experience pleasant. However, I did notice that the interior and cleanliness of the airport were not up to the mark. It is possible that they were in the process of renovating the airport during my visit, which could explain the temporary inconvenience. I hope that the ongoing renovations will enhance the overall appearance and cleanliness of the airport in the near future.e

The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It's the eighth busiest airport in India, with both domestic and international flights. The airport has two terminals, one for domestic flights and one for international flights. It's located about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) north of the city center and can be accessed by car, taxi, or public transportation. The airport offers several amenities, including restaurants, shops, and currency exchange services. T1 is for domestic and t2 is for international flight

  • Hiral Patel

Ahmedabad International airport is surely a great hub for international flights for the people of Gujarat. Terminal 2 is the international airport and terminal 1 is domestic terminal. Earlier the check in counters were little at a distance and hence entry for relatives and people coming to see off was allowed at chargeable basis. Now it's not allowed and only barriers are kept. Overall cleanliness and sign boards can be improved as compared to other international airports.

  • sahil modi

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport Terminal 1 offers a seamless travel experience. The modern facilities, efficient check-in process, and friendly staff contribute to a positive atmosphere. The cleanliness and organization are commendable, making it a comfortable starting point for any journey. However, occasional congestion during peak hours could be improved for an even smoother travel experience. Overall, a well-maintained and user-friendly terminal. ✨✨✨

• Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport has two runways 04/22. The airport is very clean and has all basic passengers need. The washroom is located on the ground floor and it's very clean and hygienic. • Been here for about 4-5 times now. Clean airport, didn't face any check-in issues anytime I was here to board the flight. Also, at the time of ARRIVAL, autos, ola/uber/rapido cabs are available at walking distance from the exit of the airport.

  • Jose Rinu

Was here for international transit. The place was flooded and had to remove my shoes to enter into domestic airport terminal. There was no walkway to domestic terminal from international and it was raining so had to get wet. Wasn't maintained well ,ankle deep waters, barking street dogs.. Hope it was just a one off bad day,but still this is not the impression that you want an international airport to have. The lounge also ran out of food

  • Alok Singh

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad is a very beautiful, elegant and impressive aiport. It shows a modern look with great past memories of soil of the son Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Gandhi. It is quite clean, well maintained and the staff (CISF and airport staff) are very cooperative and helpful. The lounge at 1st floor is also a good place to relax and have snacks / lunch / dinner before your flight.

  • Alpesh Patel

Nicely developed Airport, with some of the drawbacks, like small security area with lots of hassle. Entry is not easily accessible without showing proper paper itinerary wish they allowed digital itinerary on phone. Expansion of this airport are widely appreciated. Impressive lounge without any doubts. Separate business class seating with less crowded area, nicely decorated lounge with lots of food options.

  • Abhisek Sarbabhouma

One of the cleanest Airports I’ve been in India . Newly renovated with stunning lightings. The design of the Airport is truly unique. Toilets are super clean and the staffs are friendly as well. Close to railway station just 20-25 mins drive. Cabs are available and allowed to stop for pickup outside the Terminal. Lounge available in the first floor which is accessible if you have a valid card.

  • Sibaji Ghosh

Business still continued on the old terminal. The new terminal is under the built-up stage. Old terminal T1 is not spacious and can not handle large passenger groups. Troubled by very less mobile charging facility. Washroom/restrooms are up to the mark. Need special mention to the cost of food... it's really much cheaper than other airports in metro cities in India.... really enjoyed.

  • Soni Pratik

Lots of work happening in both airport international as well domestic They are trying good things on campus and inside the airport they make a good drop-off zone with shaded area waiting area and many more It is easier to enter inside airport Install new latest technology also For cars they started a fast tag system inside airport parking entry and exit there is a one lane only

  • Taral Shah

This is one of the fastest airport i have seen in recent times in terms of entering the airport to onboardong the flight When you arrive at this airport, either you negotiate or take Uber/Ola as the first rate that the taxi/cab/Auto person will quote will be almost double of actual charges. Auto will take extra 90 rs for parking charges so be mindful of that

  • Sahil A

Amazing airport, from a lot of travelling I can tell you, it is extremely clean and the staff are amazing at helping in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Easy to navigate and no stress in getting a trolley, they set them up next to the conveyor belt ready to go, so it is very practical, also organised well, even the OLA/Uber area with getting in/out

  • Tejas Jindal

Easy and hassle free airport. The architecture is good. The airport security is good. Airport lounge here is small. Flight delays aren't there much. Good and clean toilets. Lots of shopping and food options at check in. Supporting airport staff, we got a pre allocated flight as we reached 4 hrs early. So my experience was good.

  • pratik jayswal

A very big space and two different terminals for domestic and international flights Very well maintained and clean place. Parking charges are very higher specifically for 4 wheelers. Keep cash only for payment at exit gate for smooth process. Parking space os large and trolley available at parking ro desired gate.

  • Anil Singh

Terminal 1 of Ahemdabad airport is just Ok. There is nothing much to write home about. The lounge there doesn't accepts the regular cards and charges an exorbitant fee of over 1,500 and over for the facilities. The whole airport is Adani this and Adani that. Hopefully the newer terminal is better than this one.

  • Mahesh Manoharan

Very clean and looks as new. One of the busiest airports but it's is small. You will face language problem like they don't know even English numbers. They speak only hindi even the indigo staffs that's very disappointing. Try to communicate with the AAI staffs( airport authority of India) they will guide you.

Amazing and heart touching facilities, Very good airport. Maintain very cleanly. Crowd management is handling properly. It's silent airport. No announcement will made. Within 10 to 15 minutes one can complete from check in to reaching point of boarding gate for international travel.

  • Raj Gaurav

Overall Its a decent airport with a decent lounge and many other popular food chain outlets like KFC...etc. Lounge is smaller one compared to any other bigger airports like IGI but people tend to have food and move out quickly as there is no separate comfortable space to rest.

  • Venkateswarlu G

Very good airport. Maintain very cleanly. Crowd management is handling properly. It's silent airport. No announcement will made. Within ten to 15 minutes one can complete from check in to reaching point of boarding gate for domestic travel. I didn't observe no where hassles.

Airport under renovation/upgradation. Not so busy during mornings but still takes sometime to get our bags to the trolley belt from the planes. Post that it's easy exit and since the renovations' underway, you'll have to take a short detour to get to the pickup point.
