So I have been here twice and I don't think I will be coming back, the outside of the mosque looks very nice and respectable, clean and well maintained however the area in which it is located is not ideal it's very difficult with all the traffic to attend. However that is not my issue as other mosques have similar problems. The women's area is very small, and the main women who according to other women are always there and are very judgmental they give dirty looks to those who aren't there in an abaya and act almost as though they are LOOKING for a reason to shame you, they tell women "you're praying wrong" "you should be praying at this time not this time" etc. -- it's good for the Muslim community to be there for others and help, give advice etc. However if someone is praying in the right way but it's not EXACTLY the way you do you shouldn't shame her and say "oh you're doing everything wrong but Allah is forgiving maybe he'll forgive you for not praying right". I came here because this is the closest mosque to me however I will have to travel further away because they do the ENTIRE khutbah in URDU, this is an English speaking country and not everyone speaks Urdu and I find it completely unfair and totally unprofessional and unislamic to exclude people from a khutbah that is being given. Canada is a county known for it's diversity and Islam is a religion that Preaches inclusivity and yet, They say the entire khutbah in urdu and then when they are done and are asking for MONEY that's when they suddenly start speaking English. I just didn't find the atmosphere welcoming or inclusive and I will be sure to find a mosque that offers me that

For such a decadent mosque, the women's praying area is a shame. It is as if women are third class citizens. The men's area is beautifully decorated while the women's prayer area upstairs looks out of place, almost as an after-thought and cheaply built. Some of the "aunties" there are vicious. I saw one of them give dirty looks to 2 teenage girls (i'm guessing because had visible make-up) Lady, you are here to pray, not police everyone. All in all, my experience of this mosque has been terrible. It is clear that the people in charge (by people I mean men mostly) thought little of women. It sets a tone that men are greater than women. It also has a very hostile environment on the occasions I have been there. For the men out there, I can't see how they can pray here knowing their mothers, sisters, wives, etc are dealt so shabbily. This is not a spiritual place.

I have a very bad prospective regarding your food distribution during Ramadan time. So thing is people have been waiting in the line for an hour despite seeing this volunteers giving food to people who come through driveway. I was like what! People have been waiting here and you guys distributing foods to those people who come in the car( some of with expensive car) and you are giving better foods to them and let them go. I don't know the reason behind this but this is the worst thing I have ever seen. You guys should give food who needs them most for example student. I'm a student who needs food staying alone without family. But you guys give food first who come in tesla and range rover. What kind of helping is in the month of Ramadan?

I went to the mosque to get some information regarding some support workshops they organized or held, that my husband heard being announced after Friday prayers. I was interested to know more and to see if I could volunteer there. So I went to the mosque to find out for myself. First of all, it was very difficult to locate where the offices were or to even find someone to speak to. There were phone numbers written on the walls but no one picked up and I was directed to voicemails, which I still haven't gotten the reply to. Finally, when I found someone, they gave me a card and told me to email the address on the card, which I did and never heard back. So, I'm terribly displeased with their service.

I went there with my family and friend for Magrib . During prayer one of the baby was start crying loudly, because his/her mom was praying that time. This is very normal that kids may cry, play and scream etc. , but we should bring our kids to Mosques. It’s Allah’s house and all are invited to come here. But suddenly IMAM or his assistant announced that “Don’t bring your kids to Mosque, because their sound (cry) is noisy which is disgusting for those who are praying here. I am little bit confused that no one complains about it ,because as a Muslim we never expect this type of announcement ,but why that person announced that? Thanks.

Every Friday the lecture is in Urdu language and most of the people are not able to understand. English is the main language in Canada and they should do the Friday lectures in English. To me this seems like a big monopoly. The funny thing is when it comes to money collection they announce it in English. The management should cater to the multi cultural community. I hope the management takes this advice a s a positive feedback rather than firing back replies ! May Allah reward you; Aameen

One of the best Masjid in North America in terms of community programs, services, and facilities. The Quran School in the evening is very organized, the premises are clean thanks to the one & only Arif Bawa. This Masjid has a special feeling that you dont find elsewhere. In ramadan there are programs that no other place has. The gym downstairs is great to play sports. I hope other mosques would come here and see how this place is being run to learn for other localities.

Nice and clean Masjid. Very organized and tidy. But I notice 2 things: The recitation of Holy Quran in Taraweeh prayer lacks reverence and forethought. To make Khatmah, the Imams recite the holy Quran hastily but unfortunately the neglect the supreme goal of the recitation. Second I notice that they perform Witr prayer similar to Maghreb prayer which is not in accordance with the prophet's deeds and against the opinions of the vast majority of Umah scholars.

  • Saqlain Ahmed

Overall Great masjid! Very clean and big, can accommodate a lot of people. Lots of good Islamic programs in the Masjid. It would be nicer to have more lectures in English rather than Urdu. Sheikh Shoaib Wardak’s lectures are in English and they’re simply amazing! He’s heavily involved with the Youth initiatives in the Masjid. Google his name if you don’t believe me !! I always attend when he’s speaking. Masha’allah May Allah Reward him.

No tribalism, no politics, lots of hufaath and hafithaat of quran, school, clean, green carpet, good qaari . Good school and imams, athaan goes outside, nice community, piety, niqaab and turbans in effect, janaaza services, no disputes, respectful, large turn out for prayers 200+ worshippers, largest turnout ive seen for regular prayers in toronto, conservative, intelligent, nice library, easy vibe, friendly atmosphere. Majestic.

  • rao U

Beautiful. Good work. Is under control of one group though. Pls. Discourage congressional prayers after congressional prayer. Pls no illegal parking either. Begging is concerning in premises (outside main building). Social gathering in basement with least regard to islamic values are to be reviewed. Number of children creating trouble is getting out of control. Setup is big so audit control over control is needed.

  • Lone Wolf

The Masjid is a good place to catch a salah(namaz). Behind the scenes there's Xenophobia lingering. They're not inclusive in including Non-Gujratis in the community decision making they feel they are a more pious ethnicity and feel entitled to all affairs regarding the Masjid. Typical back home village desi mindstate.

  • Nasrullah Ahmadzai

In this store the owner not accept Visa card or MasterCard. He's asking for cash or debit cuz he knows u must gonna pay cash & his charges u tax as well I'm not sure that receipt hi give to the costumers it's showing for government, & to be honest there's one ladies cashier unbelievable how she's rude with costumers.

  • MightyWinz

I could not give a higher review to a mosque. Just a beautiful mosque all around and no doubt my favourite in Toronto. The architecture and caligraphy is so beautiful. There is art all around the dome and the ceiling and it's completely symmetrical, which is important for beauty. Mashallah, this mosque is amazing.

  • Khatra Mohamed

Manshaallah nice masjid. I have been a resident of scarborough for the longest time. I love our masjid but PLEASE juma prayer should be in english i understand you are serving your community. Other people come and we are lost during the khutba PLEASE consider. Jazakallah

  • Mohammed Hanif

The masjid is well maintained and clean with beautiful Islamic artwork adorning the walls and ceilings. The facilities are also impressive with ample space for prayers and plenty of resources available for learning. They also have various activities and programmes.

  • Bilal Syed

Beautiful Masjid MA! Great location as there are a ton of Halal restaurants nearby. It has a ton of prayer space and even a gym downstairs. The parking lot is pretty big which is great. Wudu area is closed because of Covid which sucks but there is a spot outside.

  • daud shah

Nice Clean Wudhu Place and very nice and clean prayer place, and basketball court. Come and have an experience of Beautiful Quran Recitation in Fajar Maghrib and Isha Salah. In Zuhar and Asar we can't hear the Tilawat but we can feel the peace of heart and soul.

  • Madina Farhad

Definitely the best and cleaned mosque I have ever been too. Very clean and the parking is great and easy and lot of it. I like how their is an elavator so you dont have to take stairs if you have kids with you. Also the ladies side is nice and very spacious.

  • FW1cGP

Came here for Maghrib salah and saw a Jalsa. The masjid was huge and looked modern. It had a nice limestone lobby with a huge prayer hall and a second small cozy prayer hall behind it. This masjid also has a basement with a gymnasium and a second wudhu area.

  • Feruza Kasym

Great masjid with all services for muslims. They have a lot of educational and engaging programms and classes for kids, as well as professional hifz programms. Alhamdulillah my 3 kids became huffaz in here with strong teachers' approach and commitment.

  • Siraj Arab

  • SAM FEN

Wonderful mosque from the inside and the outside. Friendly people. The khotba ( the day I was there) was in Urdu, English and in Arabic too! I don't have money to visit Pakistan, but I really felt that I was in another country for a while :)

  • Deqa Ali

I was here for Quran class session 2 and the teacher is listening to two people at the same time and talking to the other people while listening to them. The Apas shouldn’t do this. And also they should teach more about the books they give.

  • Mehedi Anik

Best mosque in Scarborough! Have both place for men and women. It has a store downstairs. You can buy Quran, prayer mats, Panjabi and various religious items at a reasonable price. They also sell Biryani for $6 every Friday after Jummah.

  • T MAHMUD

It's a community masjid near Markham and Lawrence. They have improved from previous years but still needs work to be done in many ways. But serving the purpose of a masjid in a good size of Muslim population in the neighborhood

  • aQeela khan

Beautiful big mosque with lots of good services..however people bring their small kids who cry during prayer and disturb everyone else's prayer..hopefully people will understand that this is mosque not playground

  • Abdul Muqheeth

As a new comer & Muslim I was looking for a place which is near to Mosque, fortunately I found the area where I have a Mosque to pray, Quran education for kids, every friday after Maghrib tafseer. Alhumdulillah.

  • Nazir Ahmad

The Masjid should be more inclusive. Majority of the guests speakers speak Urdu and not much is given to the English audience. The youth are falling apart and the masjid is not doing much.

  • Maryam R

All arrangements are very well organized including donation system. But Iftar arrangements are not good in terms of distribution. Management should look into the matter.

  • fauzia david

Its a big place for prayers, they also have open field behind the building for bid venues like eid prayers. They also have hall downstairs for big weddings or Aqiqa

  • Nick Jamil

Great mosque, but I'd prefer it if the sermons on Fridays were in English as opposed to Urdu. Also, it's a pretty conservative/traditional leadership, just an FYI.

  • sar rafe
