A warm welcome to the second hand book trade in Bristol - l have been collecting books for over 50 years and remember the beginning of the 1970's Bristol had over sixteen second hand bookshops but with the advance of purchasing on line most closed. To me and thousands of other book lovers searching, handling, discovering books is a joy and l am in full admiration regarding the amiable ,knowledgeable Simon who has opened a splendid spacious bookshop in the heart of Bristol at the Galleries, thousands of books are easy to find as the subjects, categories are displayed throughout the shop For those who collection fiction you will discover a huge selection upon entering l was amazed with the whole volume of stock all reasonably priced - a delight was a large selection of 'local Bristol' books a seating area a joy to relax looking over ones chosen. Simon will search customers 'wanted list's A vast majority of books are not priced due to time as the business has just opened You simply hand the chosen books and Simon or one of his friendly team members will tell you the price- l spent an hour in the shop pleased at finding some titles on my wants list. Thoroughly recommended perfect for people locally on their lunch break. I noticed students, mums with children, couples all happily discovering and searching the titles that appeal to them.

A wide range of books is available to browse through - more extensive than some other secondhand bookshops in central Bristol with all the categories you would expect and more. It’s spacious and easy to move around the shop and there’s a comfortable seating area. Good value- Prices range from £4 for an individual book according to category or specialism. If you’re a book lover and want to play your part in recycling and reusing what’s not to love about this bookshop!

From how knowledgeable the owner is to how carefully decorated it was, you can tell at first sight that Second Page is a not just a simple bookstore but a real passion project. The customer service is beyond impeccable, it makes you feel like you're staying in your own book corner. The book selection is amazing too. Whether you're visiting Bristol or you're a local please go support this new bookstore, it's a must !

A great selection of books ran by a very friendly shop owner. Simon will be able to discern any book you could need after a quick chat. The pricing is great and the selection very diverse; there will be something to pique your interest. I went into the shop looking for a copy of Fathers and Sons and left with five other books that I would have struggled to find in another high street book shop.

Beautiful new second hand book shop that's opened up in the Galleries. Ran by the very warm and friendly Simon who was very helpful with directing me towards just the gift I needed. And also a massive thanks to Maddie who provided some valuable insight and even helped me locate my headphone when I dropped it and went flying. Great prices for good quality second hand books

Chances upon second page while at the galleries, immediately enjoyed the overall vibe. They were still setting up for their official opening weekend, but the books already available looked great. Special mention to Simon for being such an inviting person himself, really looking forward to the grand opening and to visiting many more times in the future too!!

What a wonderful surprise to find this 2nd hand beautiful book store, what an oasis! Beautifully laid out, a massive selection, staff are so helpful, spent a very enjoyable time, found some gems, so reasonable and that should be a reason to come to Galleries if nothing else. Got to be a regular stop whenever I come into town now. What a bonus!

Great place to find second hand books. The first time I went there, I found a book in near perfect condition and the exact edition I needed. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. This is now going to be my go-to place for any books I am looking for that are not in digital format.

A quaint sanctuary within the galleries that provides a wonderful atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and a vast range of books. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Also, finding a wheelchair accessible second hand book shop is very rare, so it’s great to find such a nice one
