"All of the Lights, All of the Lights!" That was the song that played in my head while walking through this place. I had a Dad day with my 2 boys and I decided to bring them here. So let's get into it. Seismique is right off 6 hwy in a shopping mall (everything in Houston is in a shopping mall. Lol). Parking was easy. If you own a Tesla, there are a ton of Tesla chargers right against the entrance on Piping Rock Lane. That is convenient. As you walk in, it's visually appealing and unique. It has a sort of futuristic, galactic white and black decor. Check in was simple and I purchased my tickets online. Tickets are $30 per child and $37 per adult. Our total was $105.01. In my opinion, that's expensive and you literally don't get anything for that cost except admission. You go to a screen and scan your QR code and then they give you wristbands. I don't see the point of wristbands except to maybe separate VIP from standard though after reading some reviews, the experience is basically the same. Readmission is not allowed. As we made our journey through, it is visually stunning. Tons of colors, sounds, animations and lights. There is supposedly an app but I couldn't find it. Realistically, you can probably get through the entire tour in about 45m to an hour. It is self-guided. There are a few things you can interact with but not much. A few exhibits scared my youngest toddler who is 3 so be mindful of it if you decide to bring toddlers. There are also lots of flashing lights as well. Most of it my kids did enjoy, however. There is a gift shop at the end of the tour that we didn't bother with. Speaking of the gift shop, there is an exhibit nearby it with 2 huge chairs (see attached picture). So the first obvious thing I thought of was to put my kids in the chairs and take a picture. Well, the gift shop cashier ran all the way away from his register to tell me that they can't sit in the chairs. That's fine and understandable, but I CAN'T be the only person with that idea. A simple sign would do but there wasn't one. If you're looking for IG worthy photos and you need to kill an hour with younger kids or just adults, this place will serve its purpose. Just understand you'll be paying a hefty cost for an experience that leaves more to be desired.

First time going & we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I completely disagree with the negative comments saying it's not worth the money & that they made it through in 30min. If you're making it through in 30min then you've missed the entire objective. You must be running through just to get selfies & tic tok content. It's meant to be interactive & immersive art. We were there at least an hour & a half. Take your time & touch things that make other things react & happen. Nearly every room has something about it that's interactive. And the ones that don't, have places to sit & reflect & simply enjoy your surroundings. Having been to a Meow Wolf I can understand the comparison, though it does have its own separate feel to it. We noticed there was an entire funky looking outside area attached that we were assuming was seasonal. We went on one of the hottest days of the year so I don't see any exhibits outside being enjoyable in the sweltering heat. Either way I would certainly go back. Also we went on a Monday so there were very few people which made the experience way more enjoyable.

Seismique is an awesome experience. We went on a Wednesday so it was not super busy. Me and my family all enjoyed walking around interacting with the art (which is something you normally can’t do in a museum!) This is a great place for kids and adults alike to just let loose and have fun for an afternoon. The place was relatively clean, and the staff are super friendly. (Especially the gentleman behind the front desk, I believe his name was Hunter, and the woman in their gift shop. I believe her name was Chris.) They always had the answers to my questions and seemed excited to show us what we needed to do! The reviews explaining they only spent half an hour here are not there for the right purpose. With some of the museum closed off, my family easily spent close to 2 hours here. Don’t come here with the expectation of things being done for you. Explore and have fun! Although a little expensive, if you and your family are looking for something different to do, Seismique is for you!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a small psychedelic art exhibition that captivated my senses and transported me to a world of vibrant colors, mind-bending patterns, and thought-provoking imagery. This exhibition was an absolute treat for art enthusiasts of all ages. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors and a whimsical atmosphere that instantly sparked my curiosity. The exhibition was thoughtfully curated, featuring a diverse range of psychedelic artworks that showcased the incredible talent and creativity of the artists. What truly made this exhibition stand out was its accessibility to people of all ages. It was refreshing to see children, parents, and grandparents alike fully immersed in the experience, interacting with the exhibits and sharing moments of awe and wonder. The organizers had done a fantastic job of creating a family-friendly environment where everyone could engage with the art in their own unique way.

To guarantee entry when you show up, you need to order your ticket for a specific time on their website. Because of traffic, I was about 20 minutes late for our scheduled admission. However, there was no problem going right in (we visited on a Monday afternoon.) The staff were informative and friendly. The price seems high ($36) but the experience was truly unique and worth it. The place was well air conditioned and there were several places throughout the exhibits to take a seat. You will want to take lots of photos and videos, but take your time to explore and experience everything. My nephew and I enjoyed it and felt it was worth the long drive and ticket price. Be sure to make a purchase in the gift shop... super cute stuff.

Go! Just go! Experience this for yourself! Buy your ticket online! This was Sunday late afternoon, not very busy when i arrived, but a good sized line was waiting after i got in. Still not very busy when inside though. The VIP pass just gives you a discount in the gift shop, so unless you want to buy something, not really worth it. Photos, videos, describing it, does no justice! It's not a 5 minute run through and your bored... it's an emersion of constant exploration and discovery! Sometimes revisiting something opens a new discovery. Tinker, touch, play, explore... even in the bathrooms there's some happenings! Wish there was something like this when i was younger, but is still an amazing experience!

My pictures are a little old but I wanted to show people who are on the fence. I went before the construction when everything was opened. Prices are a little expensive but coming from the Chicago area, this place is bigger at the same price as the artsy places similar to this. I also went to Meow Wolf in Denver. That one costs more but hey if you want to do stuff, it costs money. No such thing as a free lunch. I think once everything is finished, it’s worth going at least once. If you’re not into pictures or selfies, then this place is not for you. They do have a big parking lot for free.

I love a good interactive art exhibit and Seismique didn't disappoint. From the moment you walk in you're transported to a different world. The whole lobby is in that 2D style. You then have three different "portals" you can walk through to enter the exhibit. I won't ruin the magic by going into detail, but we had a lot of fun here. Lots of things to play with, one of them being an alien DJ booth - probably our favorite, but the maze that is this place is truly filled with lots of fun surprises, so it's hard to say. Such a cool spot outside of central Houston! Definitely check it out!

We did not know what to expect, but this place was AMAZING. We had so much fun. It was like going on an adventure in each room, and then when you thought that was it, there was more. We did not want it to end. Chris at the front desk was so kind and helpful. She explained everything to us and even helped us take a picture. She was Awesome. This is truly a Hidden Gem and must-visit for visitors and Houstonians. We had brunch at London Cafe before our adventure at Seismique in the same parking lot, and the food was delicious.

This place was great. Not too many people going when we went. Easily spent 2+ hours walking around checking out the exhibits. It's easy to get lost in here. The giant net you climb in was my favorite part (you have to wear socks to climb it FYI) Tickets were about $40 a piece. A little pricey but IMO it was worth it for all the cool stuff you get to see. They have bathrooms, a gift shop, a vending machine and a snack bar type deal. Really one of those places people go to just to flex on Instagram but enjoyable nonetheless.

For the price of $40 for adults and $30 for children-no age minimum - it was not worth the cost. Also, the business "requires" you to provide an email address to enter. Which was unsettling. At least for me. I mean "requires" or no entry. Really... The only reason it's a 3-star is that my seven year old thought it was cool. Also, to be fair, some of the light exhibitions were interesting, but not overwhelming. For $70 for two people for 45 minutes of just lights, I could have gone to three movies and had popcorn and candy and had a better time.

My opinion is a bit biased as I am an interactive museum junkie. This experience is okay. Something fun to do for the day but won't take more than an hour. I kept going through the exhibits, wanting to stay longer, but there was nothing there to make me hold on. There is one room with a light dynamic installation that Areica Raven painted, very cool to see it transition with the music. Yes, I recommend people to come here to get the experience, this is a good introduction to catapult your desire to seek out other interactive adventures.

I highly recommend seeing this exhibition. It will be interesting for the whole family from little one to grandma. We really had fun. Here the atmosphere is like in Alien, especially the mesh climbing area looks like an ugly cocoon)) even my husband and I could not remain indifferent and it was not easy to get inside))) Also, my imagination was struck by a room with a wall pattern applied with special paints that appear only when appropriate lighting, I can look at it for hours))

Max 3-star experience. As other reviews have mentioned, while there is one or two cool exhibits that I got some decent pics in, it truly is not worth $40. The entire thing takes 30 minutes if you’re going at a usual pace. Also mentioned by other reviewers, several exhibits just weren’t functioning properly. And it felt like we were looking at glorified holiday lights as opposed to interacting with creative art. I would say just look at the pictures online.

My husband and I went there for date night and what an incredible experience! Every aspect of the space was thoughtfully designed and curated to provide a truly immersive art experience. The price is totally reasonable considering how long you can be there just exploring everything. The staff was very professional yet have a vibe that matched artistic vibe. We stayed until close so I didn’t get anything from the gift shop but we will definitely be back!

Hi Seismique, I had an amazing time! Great place to take some good pictures but not worth coming back again. The issue I had about this experience was how many staff I seen doing nothing. None of them refill the sanitation stations. I felt like it was really DIRTY. Overall, I would recommend coming only once. I know they are trying to expand it more but honestly, it’s not worth your time coming. It gets pretty old in my opinion if you kept coming back.

Prepare to be amazed!! From the moment you walk in your eyes began to wonder. Every room is absolutely beautiful and fun. The staff was really nice and polite with a bit of artistic flair. Love it!! For a party of five it cost around $200. We purchased our tickets online and showed up 15 minutes before our scheduled time, which is required. I think visiting once is surely enough. Great opportunity for awesome pictures as well.

There are several exhibits but not as many as I had thought there would be. Not as interactive as I imagined it to be but it was still alot of fun!! I fully enjoyed my time there with my family. I do believe they are implementing more exhibits as well as an outdoor area but I'm not sure when the rest will be open. If you're a social media influence or simply just love taking pictures, this is definitely a go to place.

Similar to meow wolf. Take it slow enjoy the experience. Staff gave helpful hints by interacting with the art we could touch. We got the feeling that its only the initial touch that sets off the art, any touch after that didnt seem to have a real response. Some were light up buttons some were sound. Some both. Many items left us clueless as to what the button did. Enjoyable nonetheless for 3 generations of a family to experience.

Modern Art Gallery of sorts. This was a collection of installations by different artists who displayed examples of different mediums. Lots of lights, but not strobes. Lighting effects. Several displays were interactive. Many used sound or vibration as well. Nothing radical or threatening to sensitive nervous systems. Modern. A glimpse into young peoples minds. I really enjoyed the experience.

There was Plenty of photo ops, u walk at your leisure, and you can revisit areas as u want. Would definitely recommend this for an outing with the kids or significant other. Every room in this place is lovely and enjoyable, making it more suited for children than for adults. Children will enjoy themselves there. The cost was quite exorbitant for some people. It was surrounded by a lot of interactive art, my friend and I had fun there. They sell shirts, magnets, and keychains at their gift store. There is no queue,we can just stroll right in.

Decent installations, a little small for the entry fee. Construction was going on the entire time we were there, which kinda killed the ambience. We were booked for 8:00 pm and promptly asked to leave at 8:50pm. For the value, I'd rather drive to Grapevine and see Meow Wolf. The hammer drill killed it for me.

My NASA space center experience was indeed out of this world. The space exploration has 400 space-related artifacts and interactive exhibitions which shows NASA’s history and numerous current works (eg. project Artemis II). Also, I was able to attend a short discussion by Dr. Sally Ride, the first American woman to fly in space, about her space expedition.

  • Salil Ojha

Great place to visit and see! I had no idea this was a thing in Houston but my gf loves checking out cool museums and trying new places like these. I will say some of the buttons inside either didn’t work or we didn’t know how to use them LOL but definitely an interesting experience and must see if you’re into post-modern art that is somewhat trippy.

  • Aninda Zaman

Seismique was okay-ish, but definitely not worth the price they are charging. The whole experience is way too short for the price. Having been to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, the experience here was quite underwhelming. If the price was maybe around $20 or $25, then it would have been better. A decent place for photo ops if that is all you are seeking.

  • Chuy Quezada
