Mosque ( masjid ) at a very ideal location. There is no other mosque nearby Kurfürstenstraße, so having this mosque here is a blessing. Another interesting or disturbing fact about this mosque is that it is located right on Berlin's diminishing red light district. But having a worship place within an area known for haram activities, could be a blessing for some or perhaps a challenging test. So, you really have to be good in protecting your gaze, or be mentally prepared for that if you decide to come here for prayer. Must try Ramadan iftar and traveeh here, very spiritual environment. Imam and other members of the masjid committee are Uzbeks, who are very welcoming and loving people MashaALLAH.

The mosque is just close to U-Bahn station Kurfürstenstraße. You can also take off in U-Bahn station Bülowstraße. But you have to walk around 400 meters from there. In summer prayer time of Salat-Ul-Juma is in every Friday on 13:15 around in general. But it varies on season you know. Usually a bit early comparing to other mosques. In COVID-19 pandemic there maybe two assemblies. But now there is only one assemble happen. As there is no 3G rules are applicable nowadays, so no need to bring your own sheet and mask, but it depends on you.

The mosque was big ma sha Allah. The women's section wasn't open all the time. It took us some time to get access to the mosque. Almost everything was written either in Turkish and/or German. It would have been beneficial to have some stuff written in English for female Muslim tourists like us to understand. The space for praying was admirable as well as the details of other activities ongoing in the mosque at other times during the weeks probably.

an sich sich eine schöne Moschee der Frauenbereich ist relativ geräumig. Jedoch verstehe ich nicht wieso der Frauenbereich permanent abgeschlossen ist und ich hin und her rennen muss um nach den Schlüssel zu fragen dass ist einfach nur unnötiger Stress für die Frauen ich hätte letztens fast mein Gebet verpasst fragt man bei den Männern nach wird man mit deren blicken eingeschüchtert das geht so nicht

Die Semerkand Moschee/Cami ist ein sehr schöner Ort ( innen) zum Beten, obwohl sie in einer der schlimmsten Straßen von Berlin ist. Wer den islamischen Glauben und das Gebet erlernen möchte, ist in der Semerkand Moschee/ Cami sehr gut aufgehoben. Die Menschen sind sehr herzlich und Hilfsbereit. Ich kann die Moschee/ Cami mit sehr guten Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Danke für alles.

Eine sehr angenehme Moschee wo sich aus allen Kulturen Muslime treffen können.》Auch nicht Gläubige sind hier Herzens willkommen ,um auf ihre Fragen eine Antwort zu finden. Mit einer schönen Bücherei,wo es Bücher gibt sowohl für Deutsche als auch für Türken. Ein liebenswürdiger Imam (Vorbeter) ist auch anzutreffen.Ein Besuch auf jedenfall Wert.

Outside is a nice turkish bookshop. Entrance is a bit tricky , from the door just beside the bookshop keep going straight and enter the last gate after crossing the open air hall. Women's section upstairs and men's downstairs ( the first door on your right as u enter for men) As a visitor felt home in a foreign place

When you are new in a city, far from home and it's Ramadan, places like Semerkand gives you the home coming feelings. I was fortunate to only offer the maghrib prayers but also do the aftari and open my fasting.

Good place for Friday prayer, although it's crowded during Friday prayer as it is rather small. Note that the khutba (sermon) is not in Arabic, English, or German. I didn't recognize the language.

This mosque stays open and has a large women’s prayer area. You may ask any of the mosque’s admin and they would unlock the door for you. Entrance is in the door next to butcher shop.

As muslim tourists...having this kind of prayer hall at places we happen to pass by is very convenient. May Allah bless those who maintain this place of worship.

The people are a bit in a hurry after finishing their (Friday) prayers which disturbs the ones who want to stay and pray further.
