Not really in the park, my garage is by the park, I'm just happy my old opel manta fired up after five years sleeping. The park is a lovely place to go with yr kids or just a walk alone, pity the council can't do more with it.
Playground
It's looking tiered,
Restrooms
What restroom , I can remember back in the 60s -70s there was a lovely restroom , you had everything there. What is there now looks awful and unused.
Dog-friendliness
Plenty of space for dogs to run around, bins for doggy bags.
Picnic area
It's just a small area, but the park is big and more than enough space to have a picnic or even a party.

A lovely park with different habitats for wildlife. It's soggy ground after rain so wear your boots. It's got an old kids BMX track which now has orchids growing there and swallows fly over in the summer. You can still see the remnants of ridge & furrow ploughing, the field boundaries and the old woodland that was too wet to farm so they let the trees grow. The 2 small streams look pretty but are full of glass and debris so be careful and occasionally you get youths driving motorbikes through too.

Lovely big park with lots of open space perfect for dog walking, running and cycling. During the day it is wonderful but after about 6pm takes on a different tone with antisocial behaviour such as mopeds riding around and groups of teens hanging around. My son's bike has been stolen from him whilst in the park last year. I have personally never had a problem there myself but not really somewhere I'd let my children hang out without an adult again.

Love this park for its beauty and its size. Its great for a dog walk but I would like to see more poo bins around as you have to walk to the entrance to dispose of it .Having said that it is very well maintained and landscaped and it is interesting to see evidence of medieaval settlement there. It is a good wildlife haven too.It needs to be kept and cared for so it can be there for generaitions to come.

Hidden gem? Due to b'ham council keeping the woodgate carpark permanently locked, this is not as busy a park as it should be and as such is one of the best ball throw/dog running parks in the area. Lots of wide open, flat, area's, BMX track, skate park, outdoor gym, 2 slightly tired sets of play equipment and free parking on the Bartley Green side of the park.

  • Deborah Dean

This is a beautiful place so much greenery and space, which you don't often see. Kids and animals can run around without any worries with roads. Excellent area for picnics or long walks, at the top of the park there is a playground for kids which is quite good. Sometimes an event or fair set up on the area and they are great too

Beer was good and nice to find a proper cider on tap (a refreshing change). Staff were lovely and service excellent. Food was unremarkable but very good value with 2 courses for £12 - don't be put off by the 'lighter bites' mains included; they were perfectly good sized meals.

  • Paul Martin

Lots of green space good skate park and play areas only major issue is the pathways are in serious need of resurfacing as my toddler has trouble getting from the bridge to the small play area off mill lane without falling due to pathways in disrepair.

  • Darren Conlan

A nice park for a family walk or visit the play areas that are soft play floored, woodland walk stream.runs through the centre , varied wild life , woodpeckers seen today , gym equipment free use and a good size area if you want to exercise and run.

  • Charles Taylor

Nice park but spoiled by off lead dogs. I have to tavel though it to do my shopping and constantly getting dogs jumping up me getting my clothes dirty then getting told "it's OK the dog is friendly". I swear next time I hear that I'm going

  • Amanda Moore

Boy Racers on their Bikes make it a particular unpleasant place to be.. We can't let our children run around in the park or let the dogs off lead in fear of them being run Into and killed. And nothing is being done about it... Disgusting

  • Katie Vene

Great Park always take the dig for a walk down there it has a lovely little Brook running though it a nice little park for the the little ones and basket ball court and a little skate area would definitely recommend paying a visit

  • Colette Zacca

This is a lovely open space, it is a very big park that people run in, walk and play. It was very well kept and just had this great view that seemed to go on for ever. Sorry no photos as I was there for work and not recreation.

  • Joanne Hector

2 parks 1 for smaller kids 1 for older, dirt bike area, basketball/skateboard and a gym set in a beautiful lush green park with trees and streams, I'm lucky enough to live opposite the park and I love it.

  • Beth Morgan

We ran into some park rangers on our visit, who were very friendly. The park area was very clean and well kept, the Brook is open and shallow for children to play in, which is a nice bonus on a hot day

  • emma Moland

Clean and tidy and 2 good areas for children to play on with brook flowing through. I rarely hear of any trouble going on in this park too. Must have a good warden. A community centre there too.

  • Susan williams

Nice clean well looked after park. Nice for walk with your dog or kids there is a small area for kids to play on swings and every so often the fair comes which is nice again for kids and adults.

  • Sarah L

It could be a really nice place yo walk thr dogs if they would stop the travellers getting on there . They come back every few wks & wreck the place . About time the council & police stepped up

  • Dave c

Lovely, nice surprise.. Seems a couple of quid has been spent since I visited last. Shame about the bmx track though. That was a crowd pleaser when I was a kid,it's just muddy lumps now. Shame.

  • Marjorie McHugh

Lovely park. Nice mix of areas , wild, picnic, dog walking, cycling, and fitness area. My last visit was spoilt by two 'adults' walking very large dogs off lead that they couldn't control.

  • Tengku Lia

Spacious for jogger and dog walker, teams for playing football. Ramps available for skaters and basketball pitch. Playground for kids, mounds for bikers and an installed outdoor gym.

The park is hugeeee. However, I did not feel safe to be here due to the young teenagers loitering. I would still visit this place due to the large covered green area for a walk.

Nice little metal skate park with some features to help build confidence before trying them on bigger ramps and spines.
